      @MysteriousOklahoma Naw, I just picked one up a lx450 for 1k and runs great, Also have 3 built 3rd gen runners that with the abundance of parts will live forever, and now with the auto shortage it will take longer and I'm sure war will break out long before that, even if everything moves to electric (which I doubt) you can convert all these to I'm sure some company will make conversions

      By far, I spend the most time on projects when they involve wiring. All wiring for the dual battery set up is 1/0 marine grade cable. The inverter actually has 4/0 marine grade cable running directly from the house battery.

      @@MichaelsAntics did the inverter accept the wire without having to cut it down? If so, what brand? My inverter fits up to 6 gauge but the recommended thickness for the run to the back of the truck is 1 ought, and you're supposed to cut it down. Seems very wrong

      wow, over 100k to build an 80 with trailer? My 80 is complete, racks, awning, mounted 120 watt solar panel, hot water shower, home built drawer system, inverter, dual AGMs, (120 ah ) new stereo, CB, and Engle 14f dedicated freezer, an ARB 60 qt fridge with slider and room for driver and three passengers. My trailer is home built, with kitchen, running water, 21 gallons H20, 10 gallons of extra fuel, drawers for kitchen and lots of stowage room for back packs, day packs, basecamp gear, etc etc. Including the original price of the cruiser, buttoning up all oil leaks, (head job to fix leaking valve stem seals, rear & front mains) maintenance, new tires, all camping gear, and trailer, I have just about 25k wrapped up in it. (If and when the engine ever goes, add another 12k for a new engine, add another 4k to rebuild the transmission) So, how do you come up with 100k for an 80 series overlanding build? I mean sure, if you pay everyone to do all the work, add a new engine and trans and choose to spend 25k plus on a trailer then maybe, but still nowhere near 100k, closer to 60k.

    Hi there, Can i kindly ask where did you get your supercharger and what other mods did you do? :)

    • @MichaelsAntics
      @MichaelsAntics 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Supercharger kit was a direct from manufacturer (Magnusun) run, precipitated by an iH8Mud 20+ person preorder.

      19904Runner Drifta is the outfit that produces the drawers installed. You can spec a base configuration to suit your needs. They are Australia based and work through Kakadu Camping in Canada to satisfy North American orders: www.kakaducamping.com/

    “Bumper”

    • @MichaelsAntics
      @MichaelsAntics 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Respect; maybe should have called it a "Crusher", as that's what happened when a brand new Subaru was impacted. For some reason they slammed on their brakes as they changed lanes in front of me, while headed through an intersection...thing is...they drove away (made no attempt to stop and exchange insurance information, instead sped off) with their "bumper" hanging, rear quarter smashed, rear driver side door crumpled, tail light obliterated, and all the while my only "damage" is a paint scratch.

    • @MichaelsAntics
      @MichaelsAntics 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Even two years ago when you asked, answer remains the same: no longer available from Toyota nor Magnusun. Was lucky enough to catch a group buy on IH8Mud. A member contacted Magnusun and they agreed to do a production run if we got 20+ preorders. Perhaps one comes up for sale on the second hand market. Keep your eyes open.

    Watch out, my friend Rick put a Toyota supercharger on his POS tacoma because it didn't have enough power to carry a #600 4 wheel camper, at 123, 000 he put in a new $5000 engine minus the supercharger, just get a vehicle with more power toyota's suck, my corolla , needed a new engine at 84,000, worst vehicle I've ever owned, poor engineering, underrated materials, skip toy junk
