No silence doesn’t make her miss you. When a woman steps out it’s because she doesn’t respect you or have emotions for you. You can’t make someone miss something/someone they don’t care about. When/if a woman returns, it’s not because she misses you, it’s because she tried climbing to the rung above you (the new guy), missed i (he didn’t want her or she found out he wasn’t worth it), fell, and is trying to latch onto you to avoid falling further down the ladder. I wish I saw this 3 weeks ago, I gave her way too much of me way too early on and barely said no to her because she's been hurt and I was afraid to hurt her. I broke it off shortly after because I felt I couldn't handle all of her insecurity and self esteem issues. Even though the relationship was short overall the fact that I gave her so much so soon just hurt her more when I broke it off and it made her think all my effort was disingenuous on my end.

@@emstroop8859 I don't disagree with your assessment of the above comments. However, the whole, "I need space" line is really an avoidant attachment style, which is toxic in and of itself. Many men are encouraged to have a dismissive attachment style while women are encouraged to have an avoidant attachment. Neither are secure, nor healthy in a relationship.
This is so wise, sound and necessary!!!! There are many gurus out there who suggest to use silence or no contact to attract women, but they rarely reveal something: does that silence comes from a place of lack and insecurity or from your wholeness and calmness? If it comes from an insecure place, you will play mind games or power games with her and that’s not healthy. Neither for you, nor for her.

I've noticed like 5 weeks ago that my lady was becoming distant and less available.
I've made mentioned of what I saw via her actions, to her, she denied it and I left it alone.
Like 4 weeks ago it got worse.
if I didn't call or text her, I didn't hear from her period🤐.

I'm not responding because I'm done. That's what the ghosting game gets you, nothing at all. At least from me. I'm to grown and mature for childish games.

Her attraction towards you dropped but since you distance yourself it went back up. You were probably too needy and shes definitely talking to other people that are displaying more value and are on a more masculine frame than you. Text her and ask to hang out be direct.

Preach Apollonia. Thinking that pretending to be aloof is the answer is so short-sighted. You're still coming from a place of neediness and manipulation. You will also encourage this behavior back and attract the wrong people.
Instead, do what you're actually trying to accomplish: become an independent, confident man. Have your own hobbies, social lifestyle, friends, etc and balance her within it. If you're actually doing that, then naturally won't get obsessed early on with an idea of someone and she can see you're a high-value prospect. Then if you're both investing in one another and excited by what you see, the connection will grow organically.

To answer the question, I think it depends on how much she is into you. I've had situations where it felt like a woman is pulling away, so i fell back too, and that was the last I heard from them lol. In those situations, I don't think it really makes a difference what you do. Other times, yeah, they came back strong after my silence.

Solid advice.
My girlfriend is in college only 2 hrs away. I initially got anxiety about the separation but that’s gotten a lot better. When she gets in a funk or something I say come across in the wrong way has put a damper on the mood. She has also said things and have been very dry with me at times and she says she can’t get upset at that cause she does the same thing and it would be hypocritical which is true. When those moods pop up the lovey dovey stuff stops and I don’t like when it stops. I try to be lovey and get nothing in return my schedule is pretty open and I live in a small town and there’s not much to do so I always want to talk cause she’s my person. During those weird times I feel like being affectionate should help but I don’t want to push her away if that makes sense. When things are good they are AWESOME and she calls all the time. But when these moods pop up she doesn’t call like normal and when things arnt normal I start to overthink. Any advice will help thank you

So here's the thing: My instinct is to chase, especially if the initial conversation went well and then she pulls away or backs off. My anxiety goes through the roof. I get what you're saying about using paced communication as a way of assessing whether she is a good match but my instinct and anxiety overwhelm me. I'm silent towards my ex because she got out of line with me and she knows it. 3 weeks later she texted me an apology saying she was going to work on herself. Other than checking on her once via text a few days ago, I've been silent towards her. She needs to do her own internal work. She knows how to find me if she wants me.
