This does work. After dating for a few months, it seemed like everything flattened out. I was making myself way too available. “I’ll do whatever you want to do”, “Just tell me what’s easiest for you”, “Any day is good. I can move my schedule around”. I would respond to texts within 2 minutes every single time. So I tried some reasonable distancing. Nothing too extreme, but I started answering texts when the time was good for me, instead of dropping everything every time to respond. Something small like this might tell you if she’s really into you or not. But remember that there’s a fine line between being knowingly rude, and creating some distance. Think about how a certain action would make you feel before you do it. It’s impossible to take things back once they’re done, but with thoughtful preparation, you can have her realize how she misses you without permanently damaging the relationship or hurting her feelings.

The one thing I understand more than ever is if a man can be happy with or without the woman the she has no power or leverage whatsoever. Most woman expect a man to beg and chase but when they don’t it really fucks them up.
What Apollonia outlines here is spot on, and it sounds like a recent life story of mine. Merely 5 weeks ago I'd heard from a woman who I hadn't interacted with for just under 2 years (a year and 9 months). I attribute it mostly to the cognitive dissonance which Apollonia discusses here. Most notably, I'm "the one that got away," but would never know. I've moved on long and away, but trust your instincts, guys.....I couldn't accurately predict this, but my gut said I'd eventually hear from her, just couldn't know when. Now, I can't go 5 days or more without hearing from her. I guess I'll never get away this time.

The reality is different. Yes, distance is good. But if someone breaks up with you then they have doubts. Then they consider to move on and they do. Only if the next guyS are all a downfall and life for her sucks then she comes back. She still has doubts but might try. And if you were in love with a mentally strong and good looking women - then she never comes back. If you are a good looking man with an heart of a hero and trust in God you would not go back but have faith in whatever might come. It is over. So plan for this. What do need is work, a good body, a smile, discipline and you can and should try to understand where exactly you made a mistake. So in your next relationship you make at least a different one. A woman who can live without you can live without you. She does not love you.

My dismissive ex texted me yesterday. Went out for about 2 years. As we got closer, she pulled apart. She's a good person. Great woman. We've never fought, etc. It went from seeing me a lot, calling a lot to only texting me. Now every once in awhile. This time it's been 32 days since she texted. I've moved on and she'll text every once in awhile. I havent talked to her in a year. All texting. No substance in the texts. Crazy how dismissives will keep in contact. She's a wonderful woman...give these people a break. They are tortured inside. I know at some point she'll find someone else and wiill stop contacting me. They breadcrumb to death. ..don't buy into it but don't be angry at them either.
This sounds similar to my situation I've outlined in my comment. You're right about their being tortured inside and not buying into the breadcrumbs. It's not difficult to tolerate the instability when you know where it's rooted. Just stay easy on the empathy and don't allow it to grow, but don't cause additional torture inside.

Im some ways im glad i met her. Before her i hadnt been in anything for 3-4 years. I had become extremely intorverted and just worked studied and sat at home. Granted i still hit the gym regularly but didnt socialize much.
When i met her she helped pull me out of that shell and since i didnt date for a long time i was all types of rusty when it came to relationships and feelings ect.
Heres what i learned a womans likeness or love toward you is conditional as long as it suits her. For men we arent the same like that. The reality is something or things changed her mind about you and you probably didnt know it so the reality is she broke with you days, weeks or even months in advance the kicker is she had no problem with you spending money on dates and gifts ect.
As a man always always always stay working on yourself never get complacent.

I had the same mentality you do not too long ago. Never one of my exes reached out after a break up. But 3 days ago the last girl I was seeing texted me back after 4 months of no contact and 6 months of not seeing each other. I just knew it would happen, I could literally feel it in me. We stopped talking because she got with someone else her age (She said she wasn't interested in me because I'm quite older than her and things were never really clear between us, we only talked about having fun). She wanted to get back in touch with me... We texted a bit but I refused to go any further. I can feel she misses me (or at least how I made her feel) but I refuse to keep in touch with someone who turned me down and is with someone else. I can picture her coming back to me when her relationship ends (because it will, I just know. The same way I knew she'd text me back eventually). Now the reason she came back but my exes didn't is because of my value (I am much higher value now than I was with them) and because of how we cut the ties quickly. This created a feeling of void or loss. She knows she lost a guy that she's unlikely to find his match elsewhere. Not because I'm a 6'6 multimillionaire GigaChad but because I'm getting close to the best version of myself and because we had a special connection. And since I'm not on social medias, she couldn't get her fix from just stalking me online so she reached out directly. The most important thing to women is how you make them feel. If you make her laugh, make her feel safe, make her wet, make her think and make her feel wanted, she will never forget that. Not tomorrow, not on her death bed. So if she thinks you're worth it, she won't resist coming back. So my point is, just like Apollonia said, build your life and yourself. She will notice. If she can find a guy like you everyday, even though she made a mistake, what incentive does she have to come back? Stay adamant, distant and stoic but be fun, be a flirt and be kind as well and she'll doubt her decision every step of the way.

I still see her so I still talk if I get a chance and I pour on the humor and charm trying to make her crazy for me. Some of it is for fun and for my own development. Although from what I understand in what she said, she somewhat regrets her decision but she's also not going to dump her bf (which I wouldn't want her to do for me anyways). But I made sure to let her know that I am not mad at her or sad because I know it would ruin how she sees me and I told her that despite everything I still hold her in high regard and maybe our paths will cross again one day but right now it's impossible to reconnect the way it was before because I'm no consolation prize. I don't think I ever will feel the same way again towards her but at least I kept the door open just in case. I think I have pretty good odds of sleeping with her in the future but it'd be hard for me to ever see her as relationship material. If she's your ex at least you know she already had that attraction for you in the first place. Either way, I think it'd be best for you to keep your distance from her. Trying to make her crazy for you clearly hasn't worked so far, otherwise she would be with you. Cutting her from your life/stop interacting with her would create a loss in hers, this is what would trigger her to want you because right now she gets your attention and efforts without having to give you anything back. This combined with becoming a better version of yourself and flirting with other girls instead would be much more effective if you ask me. Women want men who other women want. Seeing you with other women will make her go crazy.

I recently set a very necessary and strong boundary with my girlfriend, and since I have been giving her more space than usual. This has been very difficult for me, as we have just started dating, and I want to spend a lot of time with her. I think it is working.

However, when the girl have wild times with drinking, having intimacy with other boys, clubbing, partying etc etc ofc she is not thinking of you and having fun were she is getting what she loved to get such as validation and whatever she is happy with. I'm going through a relationship break up now after nearly 13 years! I've brought her 2 kids up as my own from 3 months after meeting her. We have our own 8 year old daughter. A married, older woman at work seemed like she was really into me, a good amount eye contact, watching me from across the room etc. I really liked her but I knew it couldn’t go anywhere, so I thought the best thing to do was to ‘break it off’. So no looking at her or conversations. By the end of the day she was crying. Not 100% sure if it was me that caused it, maybe just a coincidence. Not sure if I did the right thing or not. Eventually I relented and starting the staring again, but this time it got a bit insane plus a whole lotta of smiling.

It really bothers me when a girl pulls away from me and just telling me that she just feel distant without any explanation. So I was having a long distance relationship with a foreigner. although both our cultures are way different, we managed to work it out and stay for more than a year. we kept each other connected. However, she suddenly got cold feet on me, and she started to be distant and sending me dry messages. Obviously, a guy like me who put her on the pedestal got scared and anxious, thinking what might have gone wrong. I watched a lot of videos on tiktok and youtube on how to get her back or to regain the attraction. Although i found some really helpful videos, she still couldnt get out of my mind. Im always thinking about overbearing her with messages. I suppose that it is a normal reaction for guys who put someone above them. It has been 3 days since i stopped messaging her. the last conversation we had was that I left her on read. It is so hard that you know that she knows how you love and care for her but she just doesnt seem she cares. Although her messages indicate that she still wants to talk to me, but no longer in a non romantic way like we used to. I guess the best way is to move forward on your purpose and goals, dont think of her getting back to you. You didnt lose her, you just returned her. And remember, you were an extraordinary guy even before you met her. Her lost of attention doesnt identify you as a person.
I have a similair thing with a long distance relationship and I really love that woman but she out of nowhere changes her mind and then thinks when I get a phone call in morning from a friend that it would be another woman which really hurts me cuz it shows she has no trust in me and even tells me that. Meanwhile I am one of the most honest guys when it comes to relationships. But your last sentence is right and never stop work out or lose yourself even in hard times! The girl who I thought was the one ended things and I still don’t understand…. We’d arranged our first weekend away with her young daughter… a sign of next steps for us I thought. I was super attentive and sweet to her daughter so I know I acted as someone who valued her and her daughter so I’m at a loss really. On the way to the cabin at a supermarket when I went to pay for our supplies she said she wanted to pay, I insisted on paying as the weekend was my invite. She became upset so I said hey let’s pay half each. She said that was too difficult… anyway she completely avoided me after that weekend for 3 weeks until I eventually got a message she didn’t feel listened to and can’t see a future for us ‘at this time’. I would have thought her feelings couldn’t be that paper thin.. to agree to spend time as a future ‘family’ only for chivalry to be the deal breaker. On the way home from the cabin she played a video saying if you’re not prepared to date an independent woman, don’t even try. It was sent to her by a friend. I’d see such a video as toxic femininity form a bitter and jealous friend. Does anyone have any thoughts? Thanks in advance. Emmanuel
I dunno, distance for me doesn't create more attraction. It just makes me forget about the person. Any girl who creates distance with me (trying to make me miss her) Is just shooting herself in the foot. Like bruh I bond with people better when they're actually in the room with me. Maybe this is due to my traumas? Maybe I'm just normal, who knows.
