3 weeks ago I watched your video. I suffered from prolapse, the feeling that something was coming out of my vagina and constant urination. I started doing your exercises and two days after doing them I felt better. 3 weeks of exercises and my prolapse is almost gone, I no longer go to the bathroom every 2 seconds, and I no longer feel heaviness of something coming out. Thank you so much, I appreciate you and your video.
I'm 29 and have extremely bad pelvic pain, dr told me it was from having my 2 children. This is the absolute worse pain ever! I am so thankful I came across your video in particular... it's very helpful and very understandable. I pray this helps me.
Cassy Gonzo have a general surgeon to check for hemroids I had extreme pain thought my pelvic was going to break internal hemroids are a bitch got it taken care of now I can walk no more pain
After doing the exercise for the very first time unintentionally my urine control has drastically improved. I can hold my urine for much longer periods. My stomach is much flatter also which was my initial intention for doing the exercise. I could not be happier, really.
Thank you so much for your very clear explanation and demonstration of the 3 pelvic floor exercises. I was doing the kegel exercise wrong. I feel now much more confident I am helping myself correctly. Margaret
Most of these comments are from ungrateful individuals, how disappointing. I used to have a pt during my pregnancy & now can't afford one! Therefore I'm highly appreciative of this video. They didn't have to offer, but they did. Get your minds right & receive as much help you can get. I'll b doing them. I'm in so much post-pardum pain in my pelvic & hip & I'm depressed for relief. The video was explanatory & understandable to repeat, my viewpoint!
Appreciate Video clip! Sorry for the intrusion, I would appreciate your initial thoughts. Have you heard about - Mackorny Amazing penis Blueprint (just google it)? It is a smashing one off guide for getting a bigger penis minus the hard work. Ive heard some super things about it and my mate got excellent success with it.
Thank God for this cause God knew what I was going through . God can fix your problems if you ask him too . Before going to videos make sure you go to him first
It's a shame that in the U.S., there's no info to new mothers about how important these are! And urgently, in the first 3 months following childbirth!!! There's much more to this than in this video too. In France, where I live and birthed my 2 children, we go to a PT or midwife about 2 months after delivery to get Pelvic Floor Reeducation. New mothers get an Rx for 10 sessions of 45 mins., and of course, with Socialized Medicine, they are no cost. My first PT was NOT really great, but after my son I went to a midwife and she really showed me how to isolate left, right, back, front muscles. IF done correctly, my abdo muscles were a little sore after first few sessions. You breathe in, contract, and hold while slowly letting breath out over 5-10 seconds. No counting out loud. She also told me to constrict these muscles before sneezing, coughing, lifting and it must be done regularly. This was 25 years ago and I still do them several times a week. The midwife was so effective because she was allowed to guide me by inserting fingers (as a gyno does) and therefore teach me to isolate each group ... Don't know if PTs (even in France) are allowed to do it that way. The PT I had used a sort of Biofeedback thingie just inserted ... those don't work if not followed up by properly done exercises. None of my 4 sisters who gave birth here in the U.S. were made aware of this important Pelvic Floor Reeducation by their OBgyns or doctors. They were surprised when I told them and I've tried to teach them how, but one really needs a midwife for proper instruction. And my Mom had surgery for prolapsing at around 50 or 55 years of age. That's young! I'm 63 and know I'll never have to do that!!
I use the ‘ Laselke Intimina kegel ‘ weight balls . The proper exercise is the SAME as starting and stopping your urine mid stream . It is the very same procedure ladies to do the kegel exercise . I had a ‘prolapse’ and doing this simple exercise I described is easier and it REALLY WORKS . You will notice a huge difference in just a few times . Lay on your back - insert the ball - do the kegel . The result is amazing . God Bless
Seems like the majority of PT is something like 10 reps 3 times per day. That’s what the first exercise was, so it would make sense to do about the same, I’d think. :)
Can you please tell me where I can get that ball? I'd prefer that over a pillow bc you see the effects of the squeeze. This video is SO helpful! Thanks!
Largest amount of the pelvic floor muscles are around the Rectum So you are contracting/ tightening the rectum~thus one feels the pelvic floor actively lifting in the pelvis
You mean like trying to hold a fart in? I don't feel any "floor" lifting (totally unaware of any floor), just a tight anus. I appreciate your clues and that of other commenters (does help), but it seems it has to relate to something we are already familiar with (like farts).
Going through perimenopause right here! 👿It's SO evil!! Having the burning/aching/ouch dryness, pee, effecting my daily activity life lately. Hot flashes started 2 years ago. This video, pure 100% organic coconut oil (for real, in a jar from grocery store), little to no diet coke anymore, hot baths a few times a week, multivitamin b'/c, 6-10 cups of water a day, has helped! The coconut oil is kept in the bathroom & I dab a pinky nail size on & slightly inside vag area after EVERY pee. And I take it with me if we HAVE to be gone all day/freeway driving. I'm not free of complete pain/irritation, but all things I stated above have helped me so much. Good luck ladies 💖 Also know kegel balls &/or jade egg (lubricated) are a suggestion. Mine are in the mail on the way so I don't know yet. And in place of coconut oil, EXTRA virgin olive oil can also we used too.
I found eating raspberries contributed to that ouch burning feeling (I was having them daily in my smoothies!). When I cut them out, pretty much no more burning
Yeah I should try the level balls or whatever because I try to do this and my lower abdominals want to contract. It’s hard to do this and not have them contract and then remember to breath. It’s like too much multitasking. Or concentrating on a lot Of different things at once for me.
I got a hold of a doctor that put that pelvic mesh and did not need it. Gave me a big absent inside my butt. So I have been dealing with that and got to have the mesh removed. Please cat pelvic mesh. Please be careful choosing a doctor when you're having surgery.
It's difficult to learn kegels from a video. Schedule an appointment with a women's health physical therapist and she will be able to educate you on a proper kegel.
i have prolapse and severe pain in my pelvis. This exercices make things a lot worse. I belive this exercices only apply for some people, example: weak pelvis floor. It make thigs worse for people with tight pelvis floor. We also need to consider the alignment of the pelvis. If the pelvis is not align that could contribute to prolapse.
roll verb 1. move or cause to move in a particular direction by turning over and over on an axis. "the car rolled down into a ditch" Perhaps you say slide instead of roll.
Hello Amber Curry, Thanks for the useful demonstration of kegel exercise for women.. can you upload or brief the men's kegel exercise for Pelvic muscles... if you have animated/real video pls share it. I could not under understand and can not concentrate the which muscles need contractions. Regards.
treeoflife 2015 honestly I don't feel like any of them are. Starting with "90% do this wrong" isn't terribly helpful either. Everyone explains it the same way and if 90% of people are doing it wrong, the problem is the explanation.
How could the explanation be more helpful? I know it can be difficult to try to explain how to contract the pelvic floor muscles properly as I am a DPT too. Try squeezing your pelvic floor muscles as though you are trying to hold in urine, but DO NOT do that while you are actually going to the bathroom. You should feel a "lifting" or tightening sensation deep in your abdomen area and most likely your rectum. If you feel as though you are bearing down or pushing...you are not doing it correctly and should probably seek help from a trained physical therapist. I hope that is helpful.
@@practicallyhealthy541 First of all thanks for all the additional information, explaining and advice you've given in other comments-it really helped. The thing that makes me doubt that I'm doing them correctly is that all the videos I've seen and in the articles I've read the authors start with "a big percentage/the majority of women do them incorrectly" and I don't know how to know if I'm doing them correctly because the explanations are a bit vague. If so many women do them wrong how do I know I'm not doing them wrong as well?! So my additional questions would be: So as long as I feel a tightening in my vaginal muscles, it doesn't matter that my abs, thighs and butt contract as well, right? (I've seen videos that say that if you feel those contracting, you're contracting the wrong muscles and you're doing it wrong) And it's OK as long as it doesn't feel like bearing down but like I'm trying to stop the flow of urine for example. (like that's what I should be visualizing as long as it's not whilst actually peeing; the "sucking a marble in" never helps me visualize anything enough to feel like it's working). Are there going to be any problems because I keep contracting my butt muscles? I mean, I know I'm not pushing down like you do when you're constipated but still I worry it will affect the blood vessels around there. Is there something wrong if I don't breathe whilst doing these exercises? It's not that I can't, I just can't concentrate on contracting and breathing at the same time😅 And the final question, maybe a bit TMI, but most helpful in my opinion: that sensation of tightening, it should feel the same way it does when you climax, right-the same way it feels when you are trying to orgasm? Thank you in advance!💜
Because I've had lower back issues part of my exercises was lying in same position, and yes we may be doing it wrong but something is better than nothing as far as strengthening those muscles. If you go into a group exercise program, you'll do some of them...now Yoga is very good because it is a weight bearing exercise program...2ndly, in another video from a Dr. from UCLA, he explained you start with tightening the rectum area (3x), then you have the vagina area you tighten as if holding your urine. So you count to 10-15 each set. You start out as much as you can, but as a 73 yr old I'm in a seniors class where we do a lot of strengthening and it pays off. People that do NO exercise will most likely experience UI moreso than those that do exercise. I hope you have been able to so them. And yes I did start out with P.T.
The breathing in and out is confusing, can you say when you breathe in do you pull up your pelvic and when you breathe out you push the pelvic forward.
I'm finding it difficult to exhale and pull the muscles up at the same time. Very challenging, because I want to hold my breath. Am I the only one? Help!
You are not alone :) It can take time to master those exercises. Especially athletes have a tendency to struggle with isolating muscle contractions actually. For many it helps to get assisted by a qualified physical therapist.
These are yoga poses /given name like kegel or physiotherapy or Pilate People who cannot follow this through u tube can learn from their local yoga studios (ofcourse they wouldn’t know this as kegel )

Because tensing and lifting are different. One is kind of like squeezing, and the other is like a belly dancer rolling her belly. You’re moving your pelvic floor in a lifting motion. Hope that helped.
