This is one part of a very complex puzzle. First and foremost, make sure you're cleared of any infections whether those be STIs/UTIs/bladder. Secondly, your bladder could be completely empty and you still feel the urge to pee: this could be from habitual habits like holding your pee for long periods of time, "just in case" peeing before you leave the house even though you dont really have to go, etc. What happens is, your brain learns those patterns and they get engrained over time. Another reason are pelvic floor muscles that are tight and pushing on the bladder which could cause a false sense of urgency; a pelvic floor physical therapist (make sure they are specifically trained in pelvic floor dysfunction) can help you work on this. Your breathing patterns/compensations also play a part. And finally, consuming things like bladder irritants so coffee, tea (decaf and non caffeinated), sugar, sugar substitutes, citrus, spicy food, alcohol, carbonated drinks, chocolate...I'm probably missing a few but there are a bunch...that can all play a part. Also, please stop spreading misinformation like this happening in older people because I have had clients as young as 14 where they are experiencing things like this. Perpetuating the idea that this happens in older people increases shame and prevents women and young girls from seeking help early.
Where can I get help for it? I had this for years. I have been keeping a diary. I think some is psychosomatic, because when I am distracted, it gets better.
Thank you so much I've been saying this for years it's not just older people even some of my children had it when they were younger and I appreciate all the added information you have given us today. Thank you so much ☺
I've been taking Quercetin, beta-sisterol, vit c and d, zinc, and eating lots of cruciferous foods, Elinated coffee, (drinking 4 or 5 cups a day for 15 years) red meat, diary, and soy. Watch your sugar intake and carbs intake, not good. I'm also taking stinging nettle root extract as its suppose to help lessen the conversion of testosterone to estrogens. Within 3 weeks I see much improvement with frequency and no more burning sensation while urinating. No more straining and feeling like I have to go again as soon as i just went! I just don't know if it's from the meloxicam the urologist prescribed. Also walking and stretching really helps manage the symptoms. There are a lot of factors to it. I've read on it for a month straight from Dr Bergs videos, medications, to new PAE treatment for bph. Hang in there and don't let it bring you down!
When I was a little girl (2nd grade), I had severe bladder control issues so bad that I had to see a pediatric urologist. After a battery of tests, including a cystoscopy, they found that my issues could be resolved by retraining and using a medical graduate "hat" for measurements. The specialist put me on medication for a few months, and eventually, everything worked itself out. In total, it took about a year for things to become "normal" for me. Now, I am in my mid-50s and back in the same situation. I do pelvic muscle exercises, watch what I eat and drink, and I don't drink fluids after 7 p.m. at night except for taking medicine. I have good days and not-so-good days, but all in all, my issue is manageable.
My mother had this problem and was told by a doctor how to fix it. She told me if you don't empty your bladder you can get recurring infections, which had been happening with her. She said when you are on the toilet and think you are done, put your hands on the seat and sit on them. It changes your position and lets you empty your bladder. In other words you wee again. I do it now as I had this problem. I would come out of the bathroom with a feeling of still needing. Not any more. Thankyou mum.
I'm only 13 years old and I've been having to pee constantly I wake up so many times of the night having to rush to the bathroom and wen I pee it brings pain to the lower part of my stomach and I thank everyone for the advice imma try to make things happen I pray to god that he'll help me through this i m going to put myself in his hands so he can heal me , everyone should thank the lord , amen 🙏💕.
"As you age" I have these problems and I'm only 15 EDIT 2 : I have been diagnosed with autism and I think this is the reason for this , I can feel my bladder and bowel more than regular ppl EDIT:Damn... this post got so many likes and comments , im 17 now and I still have these problems , went to urology appointments and gastroenterology appointments and it turned out, there was nothing wrong with me internally.. I suffer from depression and social anxiety and thts wht thry think its linked to, but who tf knows.. its gone better , but it still isn't good , thty told me to do bladder exercises, which I have no clue if theu have helped , all in all, I still have social abxiety, depression creeps up from time to time, and i still have these toilet problems, not as bad though... If y r reading this, im sorry, all I can say is tht ik ur pain and alot of ppl do aswell, go to the doctors and gp and tell them , or if u have any mental health issues too... i love u, habe a good day ❤
I become to hate my body because whenever I go out of the house, I can't enjoy the moment because I have to always pee. I always try and find a restroom everywhere. Thanks for this video

@@dm2216 does drinking cranberry juice work? And does it work quickly if you drink lots?? (Sorry, this problem has gotten so bad to the point where I refuse to drink anything but even that doesn’t work.)
Or maybe we could evolve beyond "Restrooms for Customers Only" and see it as something that limits people's lives and actually spreads disease, as well as being cruel. #HumanNeeds2020
Don’t eat or drink anything and you won’t have to go. On my last trip on the bus l left at 2 and didn’t have to pee until 7:30. It works! I know it’s hard but l rather not eat or drink anything then to have to hold it. I didn’t eat anything all day until 5:00 PM. I am the kind of person that goes about 15 times a day and l don’t drink a lot of water like l should.
This is fantastic! Since I've been using about a tablespoon of ground flax seed, I now only have to get up to use the bathroom once a night. I was getting up every two hours. Thank you, Dr. Oz!
I’m a guy and have an enlarged prostate, (BPH) and frequent urination is one of the symptoms. Failure to fully empty the bladder is also a problem. Here is a simple technique that allows you to empty the remaining urine in your bladder. Press on your belly like he says and if you feel the urge, then do the following. Raise both arms over your head as far as you can. Then start counting slowly. By the time you reach 20:or 30, you will feel the urge to pee again and the remainder will come out. It sounds crazy but it works every time for me.
I noticed what makes you want to pee more is being in cold AC home/places than being in warm humid places with NO cold AC , because you sweat the extra water out of your body.
Being overweight squishes your bladder,, you feel you have to pee all the time. Wear a pad, try to distract yourself when you feel that, the pad will catch any drops. Retrain you mind.
He never mentioned any reason for frequent urination, aside from the incomplete urine emptying condition. I have had several pelvic and abdominal ultra-sounds, where you go pee, than get checked immediately after, and i have been told i completely empty my bladder. Yet i still go to the washroom at-least every 30 min, sometimes more often. I have lost jobs because i have to pee so often, and have to change my entire schedule, where i can go and when because of this. So how come he never mentioned any alternative reason? I know there is no urine left behind, and i seem to expel more than i take in. I can go a whole 24 hour period with no fluid intake, and still have to pee at least once or twice an hour.
+NymphetaminexXxGrrrl having the "urge" could be things like Interstitial cystitis, bladder spasms, overactive bladder syndrome, urge incontinence, pelvic floor dysfunction... talk to your doctor and perhaps get a referral to a physical therapist for pelvic floor therapy. The PT can help you re-train your bladder (so you can go longer between bathroom breaks) and strengthen the pelvic muscles, soothe out any clenched muscles. Yes, it's weird to have PT for your most personal parts of your body but it makes a BIG difference. I'm going to one for a cystocle (my bladder is sagging), I do kegels and abdominal exercises to strengthen the muscles and perhaps not need surgery. Good luck!
Bernice Mattila Garcia Thank you both for the helpful response. I never imagined i could have so many health problems at my age, and sometimes i think Dr's don't take me seriously because i'm only 25. I will ask about the exercises :)
NymphetaminexXxGrrrl good luck hugs stay healthy. i think age is really restricting there are kids with cancer you know... if your doctor doesnt take what you say seriously becuase of your age find a new doctor becuase its your health. and try to not get angry like i did once.. i seen a doctor when i was 14 she thought i was a joke and told me all these hollistic things i should do.... ahhhhh long time i didnt see a doctor because of her. so many regrets. she told me to just take supplements basically and just laughed everything off. she even said my spine was tilted near my head and she just laughed it off saying its probably just becuase of my hiarcut ( side bangs).. anyway i still hate her lol. dont have a shitty doctor lol. she didnt do anything for me didnt even do any spine xrays or chiropractor stuff. now being older i have walking problems and i still slightly tilt my head like a weirdo.. wouldv been great if the doctor wouldv done her job and caught the stuff early you know when it was more treatable. sorry for the rant.
Try a tablespoon of ginger powder in a glass of room temperature water once or twice a week and thank me later. This has worked for family and friends after I recommended it. Let me know if it works for you.
A real benefit of watching Dr. Oz is that we can learn important things in an entertaining way instead of trying to "force" ourselves to listen to a regular (boring?) medical lecture.
im literally crying i feel the urge to pee again seconds aftee peeing im in crazy constant pain feeling suicidal its horrible the feeling of wanting to pee all the time i booked a urologist finally after not having insurance for a year ,i hope i get this through this 😢 im only 21
Steven Meza You're not alone. I've been having to go literally every 20 min the past several days. I'm seeing my doctor early next week - she messaged me tonight that it might be a UTI. We men get them too. When our bodies do things that are bothersome as hell, all we can do is let go of what we can't control and follow doctor's orders. Your situation and mine - whatever the cause - will have a remedy. Hang in there. 😊
Steven Meza have you tried switching to just water as your drink? I noticed cutting out every drink but water, and cutting out sour cream, barbecue sauce, ranch sauce, ketchup, and anything with chili powder on such as hotcheetos etc and cutting out every desert has helped. I still pee a lot, but definitely far less BTW I also keep a little camping toilet bowl by my bed so I don't have to keep walking out my room every two minutes to go pee. Btw you should try flaxseed and pumpkin seeds. I have yet to try them, but I heard they can help too
urologist suck no hep howevee im still highly sensitive if i do ab workouts my bladdr starts spasm evem if i dont have to pee however i found a 75 percent solution pumpkin seed oil pills take it its forover active bladder an helps u empty your bladder only when its full instead of every 3o seconds
Im in my late 20s also & its annoying to have to pee so often especially after youve just gone and its been less than an hour. Early as I can remember around 8-9 I remember needing to go to the bathroom soon after I just went. Its not bad on some days but ive just been trying to limit how much water I drink also but that urge is still there. Feel like I might just need to wear some adult diapers just for safety. I remember one day is highschool I did something just so I would get kicked out of class so I could go to the bathroom & I feel bad about it to this day.
randy gerbil i'ma try the pumpkin seed oil pills Steven thanks . And yes Randy it's very annoying to pee a lot ohh I know the feeling . I noticed cutting out certain foods and every drink but water has helped me about 75 percent. I no longer drink anything but water. There's lists of foods to avoid for overactive bladder on the Internet so I'd check that out . Top things that make me pee a lot are hotcheetos, sour cream, hot chicken wings, anything and everything spicy, mayonnaise, pizza, every sauce, and EVERY drink except water.
Sometimes things 'shift' as we lie down, & it may be pressure on the bladder from stool in the intestinal tract, or a uterus prolapsing, etc. It is not uncommon. You might even notice that when you stand up to go to the toilet you don't have the urge to void anymore, or it is much less, then it comes right back when you lie down again.
There are also anxiety and panic issues to talk about that can cause the feeling of needing to go to the bathroom. I know when I drink coffee, my anxiety levels are higher and I need to urinate more often.
When i get migraines or panic attacks I have to pee a lot more than normal. Like maybe once an hour. Also if Im in a situation where I cant go to the bathroom I have to go more like driving long distances. Every time we drive to Ocean City Im desperate to go even if I dont drink anything and go right before☹️.
tea and coffee are not only diuretics, but caffeine is a bladder irritant. (and when I was taking care of elderly patients who suffered constipation I found a cup of strong coffee got things moving along quite well, bowel wise!) Oddly, for many people, tea can be constipating (black tea).
I’ve had pee issues my whole life, it doesn’t matter if I’ve had a lot to drink or not. Some days I feel pretty normal but I’ve always peed more than most. On average I pee about once an hour if I’m just laying around. Some days it’s never ending I can go pee and 1 minute later I have to go so bad again and I’m peeing a lot when this happens, not just a little bit. I am affected by drinking certain fluids which is why I avoid caffeine.
@@blackentrepreneur244 I think it’s due to bladder control issues I had as a child and I’ve ruined my bladder. Thinking of seeing a dr since I’ve put it off my whole life when it comes to this one issue. But yes, stress can be a huge factor. Increased adrenaline causes me to urinate more.
@@AbbyRose90 It can be a nerve issue or sensitive nerves, similar to people with IBS. Hope the Dr can help you. But you can also consider chiropractic or acupuncture. I also think that gabapentin/neurontin helps with nerve pain or sensitive nerves. Best of health to you.
@@blackentrepreneur244 It could also be an ‘overactive bladder’ issue which isn’t to worry about. Just today I consulted a doctor because of the same issue and he had suggested me doing kejel’s pelvic floor exercises. Also to avoid certain fluids including tea/caffeine products, chocolates, spicy food, sodas/sweetened drinks. Most importantly, to train your mind to not frequently go to pee.
@@jumailahsaleem9403 Your 100% correct. I went to see a urologist, and he did a cystoscopy and the results came back normal. He also said cut back on the coffee, and tea, because most likely it's a over active bladder. But I go in for a Full Bladder check in two weeks.
I was literally sitting on the toilet constantly having to pee and I was reading the comments and all of sudden I realized I wasn’t peeing anymore. Thx people in the comments!!!
Weak pelvic floor muscles cause increased urination, pain, and pressure. Strengthening the pelvic floor with exercises will correct this problem. There are videos online showing several exercises..
A reduction in tea consumption from 5 cups to 2 cups a day, all before 2:00 PM, has helped me a lot with the pee issue, and it has also helped me sleep better at nighttime.
Yes....tea is a notorious diuretic. I found even coffee caused less problems than tea. Also tea can be somewhat constipating, especially strong black tea.
I have done everything, I have done every test like blood test, urine test, and other test but there was no any problem, day or night I have to pee frequently
My friend went to Doctors in 2002 to have pelvic ultra sound. She was told to pee before test which she did in restroom. She then got on table and the ultra sound begin when suddenly, she was told to go back to bathroom because she still had pee left. She asked the technician can you see that. The tech reply was yes I can and my friend say nothing is secret not even your pee... doctors reviewed the test and told T she has a condition called incomplete voiding and that there is no cure. So, T told me how this thing has affect her marriage, her confidence and other things. See for her not only do she have urinary incomplete voiding issues. She also have incomplete bowel voiding as well. She was crying when as she explained it to me! I felt for her and that is the reason for her nasty divorce. She won’t get into another relationship for fear of embarrassment and humiliation she said. Prayers for a miracle in both areas is what she needs so she will no longer be insecure and other things...
There ARE treatments for incomplete voiding. See a urologist, gynecologist, etc. or even just good "incomplete voiding treatments". Not all may work, but some may really help, depending on the cause.
+Riza hariati I've learned that it could be a symptom of diabetes/blood sugar problems. It could also be caused by degenerative disk disease. I can help you clarify according to the Drs that I follow if u give me your major health problems/symptoms.
That would be just managing the problem, it wouldn't be getting to the root cause. Are u sure u have a blood sugar problem? Do u know ur A1c from a blood test?
At night i try to remain sleeping and pressure myself not to go to the restroom but that last only 10-15 minutes. I miss young age when you sleep the whole night without these hourly interruptions.
One doctor told me i can have an botox injection in my bladder or have a device inplanted in me to cut down on peeing, i didn't want any of these at the time so i went to the healthfood store and found product that can help like dr. oz said flaxseed and stringing nettles, pumpkinseed, celery, cranberries, saw palmetto and pygeum africanum, lycopene, and that really help me but it was expensive! so i made my own
I am buying individual bottles of stinging nettle, pumpkin seed oil, saw palmetto and pygeum capsules. Which one of those, or combination have you found to work the best?
Dr Oz, a year ago, I had to have an MRI that revealed that there’s an 8cm cyst on each of my ovaries. My Gyno said that sometimes causes women to want to pee all the time. I am still waiting for my LBSO surgery to remove both of my ovaries and both of my fallopian tubes because I told my Gyno that one of my sisters had to have chemo and radiation for ovarian cancer so to be safe, my Gyno thinks it would be best to have an LBSO. I’m a 58 year old female.
Dr.oz, 1 of the contributory factors to my bladder issues, is lympedema in my right leg, from an auto accident, and a pin and plate in my ankle was installed...standing for awhile, my right leg bloats up ..at night, I elevate both feet...the kidneys start working overtime, to remove the water on the elevated legs, so getting up in the middle of the night frequently to pee, has always been an issue...
Bartonella (cat scratch fever) also can cause urinary frequency. It can be contracted from biting insects that first bite an infected animal, both domesticated and wild, and then bite you, like fleas, ticks, lice, biting horse flies, etc.
I have constant problems and have had them for the last year and a half since my last surgery. Just please do not tell me that cranberry juice will cure it or even help. I've tried it for decades. It does not have any value for me what so ever. I am miserable with this and it desperate to find a solution . I have resistance to most antibiotics and the infections come write back. Two different pathogen's plague me. Wish you could address this.
I'm of the opinion that physicians know the problem but refuse to explain these tips to their patients for fear of going out of business. Many thanks Doc and may you emain blessed.
This is great information. Being diabetic, I am also prone to urinating a lot and having bladder infections. I have found that after going that if I double over while sitting on the toilet or double over while leaning slightly to the side, I will feel the need to urinate again. Since I started doing this compress the bladder technique, I haven't had a single UTI.
Whenever I’m excited, nervous, cold or about to rest it feels like I’ve been holding pee for a year I’m only 13 and I have to severely dehydrated myself so I can go somewhere and not pee myself
i want to die , been dealing with this for 4 months , i feel like it’s been getting worse with more and more constant urges , my blood and pee came back clean it’s just ugh kms
Igymoe I tried it all. Almost, I will try flex seed soon. Dr can't find anything wrong. One day I picked up some old antibiotic and it felt like magic. It really works, but of course not perfect. After a month or so I had same problem but not as bad. Doctor said my bladder would only empty halfway. So it's easy to keep filling up. Which causes excessive bathroom trips. Of coarse soda, coffee and junk don't help. Took antibiotic way after I saw specialist. Anyway I need to ask my regular doctor for answers. Doubt I will get help. I use Bactrim for something else long term. So I stopped to alternate and I had old bottle of Cipro in my tool box. Took for 5 to 7 days 500mg twice a day. Maybe it was too much because it was a killer. Knocked me on my butt. Had to stop taking Cipro but it worked where nothing else did. I could go PeePee. Dr oz said something about bacteria in bladder. CIPRO made difference. Sorry to long. Not to be confused with trump Russian PeePee tapes.
Igymoe me too it’s debilitating! Almost we should have a handicap sign for our cars when we travel. It becomes a big burden and you can’t live a normal life
I after hearing this helps....found out its works....baking soda....that's right..2 tablespoons in a half of glass was water helped me....and also...cranberry juice..from the health store.
It seems most people with this issue who are younger have a bladder capacity issue. The more you pee, the lower your capacity. You have to re train your capacity and also your mental health to not get anxious and give into the initial sensation. Your bladder can hold at least another hour after the initial sensation. Stop the fixation and Over thinking.... that's the root cause. Start with tracking daily how much you pee and then try to reduce it day by day to once every 3 hours at least.
People who avoid gym and tuck their tummy in all the time are the ones who are subconsciously stressed even without knowing that. These people are literally stressed because they are skipping gym and are insecure about about their bodies at the same time.Such irregular patterns of stress can cause symptoms that are often misdiagnosed by physicians all over the world. Malnourishment is the other reason,in conjunction with lack of exercise, impairs bodies ability to cure itself.see how it's all connected. And all that chemicals entering your bloodstream because of the makeup, cosmetics and processed foods are toxifying the system, makes things worse.
if you dont have a uti,you could have constipation, you can press down on your stomach like in the middle and feel something hard, that’s probably poop, if not you could have a tumor, or an overactive bladder.
I'm 19 and I also have this. Have to pee like 13 times a day and several times each night. Just yesterday I had a post void ultrasound which showed 65ml retention. I hope the urologist and physiotherapist can help me
I'm in my 60s and have had these issues all my life.....was a bed wetter as a child, life time of infections, in 2nd grade had my bladder stretched 13 times in one year, at age 9, had bladder surgery, as an adult I'd get UTI often. Found out a few years ago, I have 2 urethras , thats the tube your pee flows through, instead of just one, so now I'm on a medication for an over active bladder and a low dose antibiotic to keep infections at bay. I'm told for the rest of my life. Both medications have helped alot!
Wow!! I was a bed wetter as a child as well, I've always had a weak bladder. My doctor recently put me on this medication called oxybutynin, which I've only been on for a week now. I haven't noticed a difference yet, I hope it starts taking effect soon. Having an over active bladder is really rough.
I do the belly pressing test right after I pee before getting off the 'throne'. All the extra pee comes rushing out😁. I didn't know it was a test. It was just something I discovered on my own. I guess I'm on the right track.
My frequent urinating through the night turned out to be caused by sleep apnea that I was unaware I had. With sleep apnea, your body (including kidneys and bladder) doesn’t shut down at night because you’re constantly having an “event” where you stop breathing for 10 seconds or more. Through a Sleep Study, I found that I was having an event more than one time per minute. I was also made aware that I was snoring badly - I live and sleep alone. Your body doesn’t shut down because you never get firmly into a sleep cycle. Anyway…..food for thought. A CPAP solved my urination and sleep cycle issues IMMEDIATELY!! I was up between 6 to 8 times a night to pee. Now with CPAP, I get up once a night or not at all! I am going to add flaxseed to my diet right away, though. This makes sense.
@@sophiemiller9224 CPAP stands for continuous positive airway pressure. A CPAP machine maintains a constant air pressure in a persons airway by making air continuously flow into the airway. It’s a small unit that has a small flexible hose attached to it and some type of head gear that forces air into your nose while you sleep. There are other types of CPAP machines. I would recommend you research further on-line or with your doctor if you think you may have sleep apnea. If you are holding your breath while you are sleeping, it’s very hard on your heart because of the lack of oxygen. There’s a lot more information available out there.
So he's saying that even just after urinating there is still urine in the bladder? Why doesn't it just get expelled with the rest of the urine. Why is it being retained like this?
As we stumble from one catastrophe to another in thieve dark and uncertain times we need to seek God He will order our steps and guide us in all truth. Trust Him🙏
had this also for years but recently I’ve taken a quarter of a tablet called VIRLIX PLUS I got over the counter at a pharmacy - I take it the odd time and sleep very well. I don’t take a quarter tablet until I need to. I also found not drinking a glass of red wine in the evening and having lots of water from early morning until 6pm was a great help. My energy increased also. I take pineapple and noni juice which has all the minerals we need for the body to repair itself. Lots of exercise daily is beneficial (30 minutes to 2 hours inc walking ) Dr John Bergman says we can all reset our sleep patterns within 7 days. He’s awesome for helath and wellness as is Dr Eric Berg and Dr Vernon Coleman in my experience. Peace , Long life and happiness in whatever you do is important with as little stress as possible.
Not really an age issue in our modern world unfortunately. I've had this since my early twenties and I'm approaching my 30s soon. I'd like to get this in control.
It’s the hardest thing when the doctor has to fill your bladder to take an ultrasound and he’s pushing right on your full bladder with the device and you’re forced to hold it.
It's bizarre that at work in 8 hours I go to pee max twice. At home 8pm to 9 pm at least 4 times, overnight at least 4 times without much intake of water after 7pm 🙄
I can't empty my bladder and I have this problem for two years now and also sometimes I only drink one glass of water and I have to pee like 30 times and it's medium to huge amounts, this problem have made me depressed since I can't enjoy life anymore and I have to stay home and I'm only 16 years old male.
Alright, listen to this... I'm 29, Female. No kids yet. I'll pee every 5 minutes no matter what I drink and it's a lot! I can be so hydrated it looks like I've never peed. I can get no liquid in my body whatsoever, my pee schedule always stays the same. I am literally sitting on the loo typing this and I've already peed 5 times. I'm a Pilates Instructor so my pelvic floor muscles are quite strong and I can easily force a pee out just for fun, so when I'm on the loo and I Facebook, I easily would have peed 3 full times already. I don't have urinary problems. I only get uti's from public swimming pools, rivers or lakes. (where the water might not be so sanitary). This happens once in two years, depending on holiday plans. When I do get a uti, it doesn't start slow, it's instant, everything would be fine, next moment I'm peeing blood clots, so that's a bit extreme...however beer makes me pee like a pro so 2 beers later and I'm 5000% fine again. I have never been incontinent and I can easily hold it in for as long as I feel like, I just don't because why the hell should I? I literally have no pee problem whatsoever except that it happens a LOT. I'm so used to it already that it's not weird for me... Until you get guests or go visit someone and they count how many times you go pee. Luckily no one has made a drinking game out of it 😅 they'll be sh***faced soon! I just think my bladder is 2ml in size, or that's how it feels like. I also don't have the urge to pee throughout the night. I sleep like a baby...
I have gotten into the practice of double-voiding while still on the toilet since given birth 16 months ago. It helps; however, I still have the urge to pee a lot.
....but not if you have kidney disease & your kidneys have trouble eliminating fluids & wastes.....in the hospital we often are forced to deny thirsty patients water when their kidneys are not functioning at full capacity. And, yes, some healthy people have been hospitalized & even died from drinking too much water. Seriously. Moderation is usually the best.
So true. I learned the hard way after getting UTI, the most excruciating pain. Since then I try to drink at least a quart to a gallon of water a day. No more UTI problems, since that happened 5yrs ago..
If you have to do the "belly pressure test" to empty your bladder and also have "double void test" urinating in small amounts, what does this mean that the prostate and bladder are inflamed or has to much bacteria?
Dr Oz we just love you we love you we love you are so kind , so compassionate you're so loving you so caring you have all the characteristics of a good human being with the title doctor attached to you your humanity for humanity is overwhelming. Blessings to you throughout eternity
got to go every 2 hours, has scan , my bladder is completely emptying, my prostate is 24cm completely healthy. had 14 kidney stones over 30 year period. no utis, I had 2 utis my whole life, so what gives bathroom every 2 hours almost clock work.??? no doctors can help they don't know much about the body, even though they say they do...

I have to honestly give this brave woman a lot of credit for being on television in front of many people, participating in this demonstration! I wouldn't do it, even for one million dollars! LOL!
I had this problem and it went away when i treated my self for chronic candida. Candida is a fungus that overgrows due to too much stress, bad foods like sugar and dairy, and the use of too many antibiotics and even cancer drugs that kill off good gut bacteria. Good bacteria is the key to good health because it keeps our immune system strong. Candida symptoms are: 24 hr fatigue, bad anxiety and depression, gluten or dairy intolerance, acne, skin rashes, sinus problems, urine and other infections, athletes foot, white coating on the tongue, bad breath, leaky gut, hayfever, dairy and sugar cravings. Many people turn into alcoholics because of candida as it causes sugar cravings along with depression. If you want to check yourself for candida look up the candida spit test on youtube. If you have this, type in candida on youtube and look for a picture with 2 tongues on it. I posted a diet plan i did along with antifungals i took to kill mine, under Eifion Phillips. Bye all.
Just the very thought of peeing or seeing a dog pee or the sight of water gives me ideas about peeing... I tell myself sternly "No! You don't have to pee. You just peed 5 minutes ago. That helps me. Plus drinking the recommended plain water but to a strict schedule. So I can pee to a schedule, which involves much organisation . Like when I have my last drink at night before bed, if I want a decent night's sleep uninterrupted by frequent wake up nature calls during the night. Fortunately I sleep alone. If I had a husband, I would need my own bedroom, so he could remain sane and get some sleep. That would be impossible with me jumping up to have a pee every hour. A decent honest woman would inform her prospect male mate she has this peeing problem. But how does one raise this topic ? One mature age female who finally found her male mate said she sought men with prostrate issues, who also do a lot of peeing, I believe. That will ensure the relationship has a secure foot, with at least one important thing in common and compatible. Need to pee. You can then work together on this common problem, have something to talk about. And you know they are unlikely to stray because no other non frequent, normal urinator could stand such a bedmate con stantly needing to get up for a pee. Or forcing their mate to organise a Sunday dri E etc to encompass only a well planned route that ensures there is always a toilet nearby. For a pee...It does actually rule a woman's life and schedules, routes etc. Working at a job is a nightmare. So is going to a show or similar event or shopping, even. I onlyshop if there is a toilet there. In a theatre, I have a fear of bei g hem.ed in so I cannot quickly get up discretely and dash to the nearest toilet for a quick pee. The best seats on planes, trains etc are not the First Class ones. For me, they are O es closest to a toilet. Just in case I need to pee. And it makes me very anxious if somebody else goes to the toile I might need to pee but they were there first... I sound that eating certain healthy food even, can make the problem worse. But a few improve it. I am trying to work out which foods. Apple cider vinegar seems to help. Coffee makes it worse. Some fruits, too, as well as vegetables.
Because I have an overactive bladder that's like a bomb stuck on me, I feel for you, know exactly what you're saying, but your post was so hilarious. It made me laugh so hard that I thought I have forgotten how to laugh with this problem and life's problems. I pray that all the affected people will get healed as soon as possible, in Jesus' mighty name, amen !!!
Thankyou so much , you are the first one to address this for me and I've had innumerable appointments about my problems . Even had surgery for a prolapsed bowel into my uretha . This was never suggested ! K
I have interstitial cystitis...the symptoms are the same as Dr. Oz talks about. I have had this for 40+ years.. I have been lucky and had a wonderful urologist who diagnosis-ed me. I saw him every year. It is the most annoying this to have, especially when I had my knee replacement surgeries....I will go to the BR and then less than 5 minutes later I have to go again. There is not much on the medication front. When I had my knee surgeries, I had to tell the nurses what it was!
Young people also have problems like this
A I’m 7 and I have it every day and won’t stop:(

Same I hate it I can’t sleep over
yup 29 years old and i go constantly!! so annoying!
Me!!! I'm 11 and I pee so much idk why
Dr Mel,
Many Drs does not know ..!!!
They just talk about infecton and giving you pills after charging you huge mone for 20 minutes talking.
I just did what you are saying I don’t know if I feel better really or just illusion..
"As you age" I have these problems and I'm only 15
EDIT 2 : I have been diagnosed with autism and I think this is the reason for this , I can feel my bladder and bowel more than regular ppl
EDIT:Damn... this post got so many likes and comments , im 17 now and I still have these problems , went to urology appointments and gastroenterology appointments and it turned out, there was nothing wrong with me internally..

Wow that actually helps!
I noticed what makes you want to pee more is being in cold AC home/places than being in warm humid places with NO cold AC , because you sweat the extra water out of your body.
Doctors never find what's wrong😢🙏
Being overweight squishes your bladder,, you feel you have to pee all the time. Wear a pad, try to distract yourself when you feel that, the pad will catch any drops. Retrain you mind.

BlueBerry I’m so glad I’m not the only one
Yeah.
Its caused by anxiety for me, i have to pee all the time
He never mentioned any reason for frequent urination, aside from the incomplete urine emptying condition.
+NymphetaminexXxGrrrl well it could also be sign of diabetes. also when you start losing weight you pee more all the time too.
I will ask about the exercises :)

good luck hugs stay healthy. i think age is really restricting there are kids with cancer you know... if your doctor doesnt take what you say seriously becuase of your age find a new doctor becuase its your health. and try to not get angry like i did once.. i seen a doctor when i was 14 she thought i was a joke and told me all these hollistic things i should do.... ahhhhh long time i didnt see a doctor because of her. so many regrets. she told me to just take supplements basically and just laughed everything off. she even said my spine was tilted near my head and she just laughed it off saying its probably just becuase of my hiarcut ( side bangs).. anyway i still hate her lol. dont have a shitty doctor lol. she didnt do anything for me didnt even do any spine xrays or chiropractor stuff. now being older i have walking problems and i still slightly tilt my head like a weirdo.. wouldv been great if the doctor wouldv done her job and caught the stuff early you know when it was more treatable. sorry for the rant.

im literally crying i feel the urge to pee again seconds aftee peeing im in crazy constant pain feeling suicidal its horrible the feeling of wanting to pee all the time i booked a urologist finally after not having insurance for a year ,i hope i get this through this 😢 im only 21
Steven Meza You're not alone.
I still pee a lot, but definitely far less
BTW I also keep a little camping toilet bowl by my bed so I don't have to keep walking out my room every two minutes to go pee.
Seems like when I lay down I have to constantly pee
same here what you did to take care of it
Sometimes things 'shift' as we lie down, & it may be pressure on the bladder from stool in the intestinal tract, or a uterus prolapsing, etc.

Coffee is a diuretic
Drink tea better

I have to pee a lot at night.

I am affected by drinking certain fluids which is why I avoid caffeine.
how are you 3years later? This is me peeing every 5mins. I been under alot of stress during the past year so maybe thats the reason

I'm only 25, and I have OAB. . . Thanks for making me feel old, Dr. Oz. . .
I like her personality. I love her haircut & hairstyle. Her clothes fit her well & are modest. I wish I could be calm like that.

This is great information. Being diabetic, I am also prone to urinating a lot and having bladder infections.
It becomes a big burden and you can’t live a normal life
A few of my friends that have that problem; Praise God that I don't have it! Thank you Dr. Oz; very good video.

Sounds like pretty good advice
I may get bladder infection if I hold the pee for certain period.
Her uterus is probably in the wrong place. A prolapsed or misplaced uterus can cause this problem.
The Renaissance Amazon most of the time it's insulin resistance
Yes!
Severe constipation can put pressure on the bladder & cause frequent need to urinate. Also interstitial cystitis can cause frequent urination.
Karen Kaneshiro how does it put pressure on the bladder.Im seeing a pelvic physiotherapist but it’s not helping
Karen Kaneshiro every day now I have constipation and everyday it weighs on my bladder. How do I stop this?
This happens to me during WINTER TIME, whenever the place is cold, I just keep using the bathroom continuously.
How much flaxseed should be put in a drink? Is a teaspoon tablespoon half a cup?
I'm 13 and I constantly need to pee and I'm a girl and I'm fed up of it even though it's only happened today
Izzy Myers ugh same couldn’t sleep all night cuz of this 😑
See a doctor to have urine test....quite possible you have a urinary tract infection if this is happening.
Ur like me
if you dont have a uti,you could have constipation, you can press down on your stomach like in the middle and feel something hard, that’s probably poop, if not you could have a tumor, or an overactive bladder.
Weakened pelvic floor muscles which Kegel exercized can fix.Pills dont work if your muacles are weak."Dr OZ" needs a new side job.
Many many causes of frequent urination. Just ask any doctor or urologist. One treatment not right for all.

I'm 19 and I also have this. Have to pee like 13 times a day and several times each night. Just yesterday I had a post void ultrasound which showed 65ml retention. I hope the urologist and physiotherapist can help me
I take flax seeds every single day for more than 3 years and i don’t think its doing anything to me😕
I'm in my 60s and have had these issues all my life.....was a bed wetter as a child, life time of infections, in 2nd grade had my bladder stretched 13 times in one year, at age 9, had bladder surgery, as an adult I'd get UTI often.

What is a CPAP?
I have sleep apnea and do not have to go all night long… must be the person I guess.
Muscle contractions of bladder neck can be causing problems & need drugs or procedures...see dr.
As we stumble from one catastrophe to another in thieve dark and uncertain times we need to seek God He will order our steps and guide us in all truth. Trust Him🙏
Can you take flax seeds if you have small kidney stones? Thanks.
Always thirst and always need to pee. If I hold my pee, I can develop UTI 😤😤😤. Teachers, don’t say no when your students need to pee.
had this also for years but recently I’ve taken a quarter of a tablet called VIRLIX PLUS I got over the counter at a pharmacy - I take it the odd time and sleep very well.
Thanks does it help with urine?
During the day I have to go every 4-5 hours but at night it's every 30-45 minutes!!
Sameee
Is the drink made of flax seeds?
I miss my Dr. Bob Biondi. I hate going to doctors anymore. I love Dr. Oz
Is it weird that i pee a little bit than hold it in and repeat until its all gone? I feels so so good
Me 2 how you feeling now
No you are wrong. I pretended to have to pee to get away from unbearable people.
Avoid sugar n coffee...that cured me!
Lauren just about everything has some sugar in it. What diet did you have to eliminate sugar?
This started when I was pregnant and hasn't stopped after 14 years.
I dread that ultrasound ,horrific ,I won't be able to hold it in ugh 😫
I cant hold it- i have a VERY small bladder
It's bizarre that at work in 8 hours I go to pee max twice. At home 8pm to 9 pm at least 4 times, overnight at least 4 times without much intake of water after 7pm 🙄
I can't empty my bladder and I have this problem for two years now and also sometimes I only drink one glass of water and I have to pee like 30 times and it's medium to huge amounts, this problem have made me depressed since I can't enjoy life anymore and I have to stay home and I'm only 16 years old male.
Same here
Change ur diet
Same here. Suffering from 10 years
Alright, listen to this...
I sleep like a baby...
is this only for women? what about helping the men who get up regularly throughout the night @Dr.Oz
DIRTY CARPET he said it was for both
saw palmetto
quecertin bromelian
I have gotten into the practice of double-voiding while still on the toilet since given birth 16 months ago. It helps; however, I still have the urge to pee a lot.
MzGrwn BssLdy , I also do this.
MzGrwn BssLdy The urge to urinate can be a symptom of bladder prolapse. Could be worth looking into.
J Tatum thank you for that information.
WATER IS THE BEST THING YOU CAN DRINK FOR THE KIDNEY'S.
....but not if you have kidney disease & your kidneys have trouble eliminating fluids & wastes.....in the hospital we often are forced to deny thirsty patients water when their kidneys are not functioning at full capacity. And, yes, some healthy people have been hospitalized & even died from drinking too much water. Seriously. Moderation is usually the best.
I chugged a whole litre of water and was sick so idk what you talking about mate
So true. I learned the hard way after getting UTI, the most excruciating pain. Since then I try to drink at least a quart to a gallon of water a day. No more UTI problems, since that happened 5yrs ago..
It comes from the nerves in your spine not functioning properly.
how do you fix this lol
Here's a video I just did about Bladder Control Health. We may be able to help you if you have an overactive bladder or a leaky bladder. th-cam.com/video/imZjxClaQzw/w-d-xo.html
joracer1 o
joracer1 try the flax seed maybe slightly more than he recommended, it might help
Every 2 hours? That is called aging!

I have to honestly give this brave woman a lot of credit for being on television in front of many people, participating in this demonstration! I wouldn't do it, even for one million dollars! LOL!
I would go in front of an audience of over a million for free if it could solve my costant bloating.
@@rocco... I wouldn't mind, as long as the demonstration was not embarrassing like this one! LOL!
@@lenorapalminteri1002 Except he didn't resolve her issue. Varuna bark powder just might be the answer.
Me neither
Its embarrassing when I have to go constantly and sometimes I don't make it in time to the bathroom. I hate going places 😒
That is where I am right now
I had this problem and it went away when i treated my self for chronic candida.
Bye all.
Any herbs to cure this problem?
That explains my life as well!
Omg I thought this healthy, I always go to pee every minute so this means I have to see a doctor 👨⚕️
I just turned 21 and feel like I live in the bathroom now, when I used to only pee like 3 times a day. Lmao
Maybe you have an infection
What eventually worked for me was taking Cranberry concentrate and Tudca and the problem disappeared in two weeks.
3 times a day is not normal, an average person should pee like 7 times a day
Thankyou so much , you are the first one to address this for me and I've had innumerable appointments about my problems .
