I'm a senior now and been single for 13 years. I often think back in time, to my youth. I was 23 and fell in love with a 65 year old man. Oh, he was so wonderful. We lived together for years. He had blood cancer and left me eventually. My heart was terribly broken. I still miss him and mourn his death. He would be 105 or so. It was true love for me. I still have the poems he wrote for me.

When I was 47 I was dating a 21 year old guy and before I knew it he wanted to get married... I thought about it and I said no because I felt it wasn't fair to him. I've been with my wife for 43 years. Some thought it would not work, not because of age, but because we are of different races. But our whole relationship has been based on love and respect, even during the ups and downs. If these folks can find that in their relationship, then nothing that the outside world thinks matters.
I was in an age gap relationship with my ex husband who also is white and I’m mixed/black. We had two children. The relationship broke down for multiple reasons but the age wasn’t the main issue. It wasn’t a huge gap, 10 years, however he looks older than his age and I look younger than mine, and some people thought he was my dad! I’m now in a relationship with someone my age and it feels more equal and more respectful. He’s also white. I don’t care what people think about that - we’re beautiful together.

I have been to Tunisia and there were many middle aged mothers with much younger men. Some of them were grandmothers with teenaged husbands. The Tunisian men are only after visas, passports and money. I would be surprised if the Tunisian man in this documentary is any different. There are also many cases of foreign wives being mistreated in Tunisia when they marry a Tunisian man and move over there. I had a Tunisian man who wanted to marry me and he said if I visited him I would be locked away in my own room at his house. We never had a relationship but he tried to chat me up online. Sorry but I have to say don't trust Tunisian men. It's always young men after older women. Turkish men are the same.
I can see problems ahead for the woman and the Tunisian man. It’s my understanding that having children is very important in his culture. So unless he takes a second younger wife to bear him children, this probably won’t work. Just saying. And the musicians should keep their day job (or get one). He’s not that bad but she needs some work.

I met my husband when I was 20 and he 39. I never planned to be with someone so much older than me and was not attracted older men. I know that 39 is not old but it meant 19 years od gap between us, I did not jump head on but I knew he was my other half. That was 19 years ago and today we are as strong as ever, have 2 beautiful boys and I would choose him over and over again. Love is blind but it is important to make sure that the pros and cons are measured and decisions are taken ready to face possible consequences on the long term. My life is full and even if there is a big chance that we might depart this world before me, I would have lived my life loving and being loved by an amazing person. I would not have any other way.

I was financially independent since I was 16 and was in my 2nd year of Bachelor's in Architecture when I met him. I think love is always great and I'm happy for anyone who's in a healthy relationship, but I think that it's a bit sad that they will miss out on getting to go through those early milestones together as a team. I am ignorant, of course, because I haven't been through life yet, and maybe there are still a lot of milestones that they can both experience for the first time together that I am not thinking about. My husband and I are only at the beginning as we are about to begin the immigration process, then get our first apartment (both of us have always lived at home,) etc etc. and it's the greatest joy in my life and my reason to wake up because I know my husband and I are in this together and we are sharing all of our firsts.

Jo was right. People the same age wouldn’t understand. Most of my exes were close to my age or my age, and they were horrible people; barely lasted a couple months. But I’ve been with my current bf for 9 almost 10 months and we have a 7 year age gap, it’s not huge, but he’s the best partner I’ve ever had. I love him more than words can say and I’m so lucky I met him.
I think age differences work. My husband is 9 yrs older than me but we live life the same and live day to day life the same . You can't judge as everyone is unique.

That statement really shocked me. But considering how mature, forthcoming and suggestive she was at her age when describing first intimate encounter in a car, made it clear about her promiscuous, already experienced lifestyle and put my mind little bit at ease that she was not forced to perform without her consent.
