@@wexdustI barely go through both bb and ds3 on ng+7 because even though i learned almost every enemy, mistakes still happens and i immediately die for every mistake i make lol,but at least i learned to do bosses like friede,midir,kos,that fucking slave with too much hp and etc hitless. I cant wait for elden ring dlc to drop so i can finally go into ng+ in er.So i cant imagine horror of people doing that runs.

What about a worm head run? With the only stipulation being you must get a worm as soon as possible and never get rid of it. If you have any extra idea feel free to do them alongside.
Do you mean worm head attack only, or just that I need to have the egg head for half souls? If it's the attack only, that sounds tedious, but I suppose worth trying. If it's only needing the half souls, then having another restriction like Sorceries only or Miracles only, since they rely so much on scaling specifically, would make it more interesting, I think.

The only difficult thing I can think of would be 4 kings because DPS, but Nito wouldn't be super easy, either. Everything else would be a stagger fest
@@solarpellets If you do more damage than Barehanded No Dragon Form I think you'll be fine since the max damage non-buffed is 4 with Thorn Gauntlets

1. true asylum skip (to definitely count as not having killed the asylum demon, the death animation quitout is kinda iffy for the rules)
2. master key to blighttown backdoor
3. go to Quelaag's boss door
4. stand next to worm
5. ??????
6. profit
Unless the like 3 damage dealt to asylum demon from true asylum skip counts as failing the run, then yes the run fails by having to hit the asylum demon once. Arguably then it fails either way since you can't co-op in asylum.
Admittedly I don't usually get the wormhead so maybe I'm misunderstanding the mechanics of it. It needs to absorb souls to hatch if memory serves but you can just go to any number of areas where enemies spontaneously fall off cliffs to (very slowly) acquire the souls needed, you don't have to kill anything yourself and the run doesn't fail because the enemy is too stupid to not fall off ledges.
I was one of the people who wrote below your previous video that I felt cheated, because it should have been named pyromancy only run.

I like and respect the fact that you know your limits and are willing to leave a run unfinished because you're personally satisfied with what you did. I had a similar experience with it. I made numerous characters trying to find my build, tried different routes, seen my abilities change and improve etc. I've only beaten the game once. Did it with the Dark Wraith ending (and soul duping) at around 150 hours in. I made it to the four kings in NG+ and said "yeah im done". All this to say, massive props my guy

This is the best Dark Souls video. It literally captures everything about the game and the community. There is nothing more satisfying than seeing someone tackle a challenge that the vast majority of people would consider impossible and insane totally seriously and succeeding this hard. You may not have beaten Gwynn but the sheer amount of technical knowledge and use of every part of the game possible really is astounding.
Big respect. That little bridge jump in undead burg can actually be really tricky to angle bc of the polygons of the corner. Also i had a great going run where when i finally got to anor londo the same thing happened to me i died over and over and over and over in every single way, going slow, rushing, giants hitting me in the back, lightning hitting me in the back multiple times which had never even happened before ONCE in any of my other like 30 builds then the silver knight arrow from the front then back. Its that feeling like dude i lost my "mojo" like really it feels like the game gets sick of your sht and the devs put in something where a.i. starts to be unhinged and blood thirsty or something. Like literally, im like wait the luck stat??? 🤔🤔🤔🤔 but i think its just when you change one tiny thing about your playstyle it may not seem like it at first but it slowly skews all your timing and how you approach enemies and everything. Like if your typical build has .5 more poise than normal maybe that meets a lighter rolling threshold and youre rolling too soon and short then mostly unnoticed but there would be ONE enemy type somewhere who youve previously just had the perfect amount of poise to not be staggered and now its like nothing is going right.

The jump in the burg is really janky at first, but you get used to it. I've figured out starting as far left as possible will usually get you across pretty easy,, but you have to get a feel for it.
Try beating the game without installing it
That shows a lot more patience and determination than I'd ever put into a Souls game. Good on you for getting as far as you did with essentially nothing equipped or used.

As someone who ALWAYS starts their Dark Souls 1 runs off with a barehanded Asylum Demon kill:
It just takes time. A lot of it. Successful attempts are usually about 15 minutes long for me and it's mostly an exercise in positioning behind the Demon and rolling away whenever it tries to ground pound.
It took me about three days of attempts when I first tried to do it, and my only prior Souls experience was Demon's Souls, where the Vanguard was MUCH more tedious since losing to it would necessitate making an entirely new character and running through the tutorial again.
I commend you for helping Tarkus despite your lack of equipment, but it’s Iron, fricking, Tarkus. You can take a nap and the iron golem would be dead. He’s crazy.

Okay, I was willing to look past cheating the run by using Solaire (talking to Solaire grants white soapstone, which is unnecessary and arguably invalidates the run) but using *another player*? That's just straight up cheating the challenge run, that player has items AND had to use an item for you to summon them, following that logic you can just delete the entire run by just having summons play the game for you which isn't in the spirit of the run at minimum (and arguably a blatant rule violation). "can you beat dark souls by just summoning a bunch?" Yeah, aside from asylum demon yes you can.
BuT solAirE'S aI Is ReaLlY bAd. Yeah? So? That's the point of the challenge run. Arguably summoning Solaire still breaks the rules *you* set up (since you want to avoid acquiring items, you don't need to acquire soapstone so you can't summon Solaire).
Yeah... Most of these runs by these kinds of youtubers are just clickbait and trying their hardest to make it so that in their mind they won. They think they could not have possibly failed, even that ending was so overly dramatic. "I've reached my limit, I've never felt this before." Lmfao.
@TheMiipmiip I like philosophy, if you don't, move on. Art is subjective. I accomplished what I set out to up to Gwyn, and I had fun with it. That's all I wanted.

One thing that another challenge channel had done (which i think is fantastic) is if its not possible to beat game without doing thing, can you do the thing the least amount. Like if you broke the rules once, its possible to beat by doing thing once. I think it just ends up as a nice rounded conclusion, so if you broke the rules early- you can still push on to see how many are mandatory to beat the game :)

I was tempted to do that, but the only way I could've was by getting 30 humanity. I suppose technically I could've grinded it out, but because I already wanted to do the "poetic" ending and tried to someone else anyway, on top of Solaire's performance with O&S, I figured it wasn't really worth it lol

Loved the video. Love you challenging yourself. And dont listen to the hate, if there is any. Only real criticism is the ones you mentioned yourself, you dont want to spend an eternity doing this, so you didnt rely on luck in some cases. And you made a couple of exceptions to keep going, which most definitely led to more challenge later, which I think is an overall good outcome. I only wish you pulled a ymfah where you find a way to do the impossible, but hence the name isnt always possible.

If you somehow managed to finish the solaire quest he will aid you in the Gwyn fight. I think the only spot you were missing out on was in the demon ruins/lost izalith which is inaccessible glitchless, and you need to kill the sunlight maggot
Yeah, I know, I could've grinded out thirty soft humanity, I'm positive I could've found a couple spots in a few areas necessary for that, but after the O&S fight, I couldn't imagine Solaire would've made it any easier to actually fight the boss. At least, I don't think you need to talk to him after the centipede demon, just kill the bug and then BoC, and the ceaseless lore kill would've been easy enough. Regardless, though, I don't think it would've helped much.
I love your videos and your attitude. In this challenge I think consume duping a single humanity could get a pass and I think it’s very different than o&s, With just one boss, I think you could keep the Agro.

Bruh even with a bit of cheating you did that's hella impressive you were able to get to the final boss, in my playthrough without those kinda constraints and utilizing infinite souls glitch it took me like 120 hours to beat the game and I died like 20 times on Ornstein and Smough
Since you allowed phantoms, couldn't you have summoned solair? Or are the requirement for his quest (and salvation) break the rules in some ways?
I mean, I could've grinded out 30 humanity and killed the bed of chaos, but that would've given me the Lord soul shard and he probably wouldn't have helped very much, given his performance on O&S. Especially since real people summons didn't help lol

Yeah, but my idea was to pick up as little as possible in the first place, not just not using stuff. It's not like the few levels made much difference, anyway, and the gimmick was more fun that difficulty

Personally I don't care whether or not you pick up items, it's more about using them. I'd even have been happy if you used level ups. I wouldn't say I felt cheated, pyromancy plus consumables is fine, I get the lore reason that the pyro glove isn't actually a glove it's literally just the ability to use fire but yeah, I just wanted to see if anyone could beat the game punching and naked, lol.
You could have summoned Solaire for the Gwyns fight and spam parryes, to save him you could have done the firesage demon skip (altough I dont know if at SL1 you have enough health to survive the skip itself, maybe worth trying) then glitch the centipede demon or summon solaire, come back to the klin and summon solaire there.
Also, for summoning Solaire in Anor Londo, a good tactics you can use for him to enter the bossfight while full hp is summoning him, let him do damage and hope he kills atleast one enemy, after he dies quit out and his sign will be back here, summon him again and continue till theres no one else there and re-summon him after another quit out (but still I confirm to you that its impossible to let him kill O&S alone, tryied that for a Pacifist run video Im working on (finished, just editing it now), but theres a glitch to let super Ornstein "su1cide", meaning Solaire just has to beat phase 1 smough, making the fight possibile offline, here's someone doing the glitch, for instance th-cam.com/video/s7mdbZdKsTg/w-d-xo.htmlsi=1hn2EPvS_SmB_tAX
Still, idk if the firesage demon glitch is doable/survivable on a SL1 character, if the answer is yes, you would probably remain at 5 hp after the first fall, meaning you should use an humanity to survive the second, so this is against the rules, but would have made the run more easily completed ;)
If you're referring the to the demon firesage skip where you drop down through the elevator, you do a plunging attack to avoid fall damage altogether, no? If not, fall damage is relative to your level, so if your vigor is level 10 you take less actual damage than if it's at 20, but the same relative proportion. Even if you could survive it, though, it's not possible in remastered, and even if I redid the whole thing in PTDE, I'd still have to kill the bed of Chaos, which gives you a lord soul shard, which would be more than "nothing." Granted, less than I got in this run, but regardless lol. The way I did it is technically possible. Even if I did do that, though, I'm not sure Solaire would've even been very helpful, all things considered.
@@solarpellets No, there's actually another glitch doable in Remastered version, you punch a whorm before firesage and if you get the timing right you can skip the boss by getting out of bounds, still, I'll probably test the fall damage myself in SL1 because you have to tank one attack from the whorm in order to do the glitch, meaning you dont have that much health left for falling after, then you would only have to talk to solaire, save him by giving humanity to the fair lady (farming them with enemies) come back to the klin and summon him
@@solarpellets Ok actually rewatching the method now, I think you probably necessarily need a shield to hit the whorm in order for the glitch to work, idk if it's for convenience or if it's the only way, maybe you could also do it with punches but with smaller frames, another thing I want to test, I've only seen two people do it, I did it too with a shield like them, but just because everyone was doing so, I guess I'll log in ds remastered and try everything later

I hate being that gal, but there is a glitch that allows you to skip picking up the estus flask and leave the asylum w/o fighting the boss.
The only one I know of is the cleric escape, which is impossible to do without a weapon. At least, I've only seen it done with the mace. Is there something I'm missing?
Full disclaimer, I'm not a modder, I just watch a lot of Limit Breakers.
Collision is always loaded. Deathcam works because the map layer and the object layer are 2 different things. The map is always loaded, but certain textures & objects only load in when you get close to save on resources (because there's no sense loading something you're not looking at). When you die, there's no reason for the game to believe it has to load in anything new (keyword being "new"; this is why all textures, objects, enemies, etc. don't just immediately disappear when you fall off a cliff) so it just... doesn't. You're effectively triggering the death cutscene from going out of bounds but never hitting the actual trigger for dying (like you said in the video).
The gate to Sen's is technically an object (since it's moveable), so when you deathcam far enough away, the game never sees a reason to draw it, the textures on the bridge, or any enemies inside since they're all outside the draw distance from the location of the cutscene you were in when you triggered the glitch.
In any case, I don't know why this glitch stayed in every Souls game until Sekiro. You can use the same method to skip the gate after Vordt in DS3 & to get to the depths early in DSR (I think).
BTW your channel is quite good; I'm not sure why you've never come up in my feed.

There might be a deathcam trigger to get into the depths but I've always done the method of dropping from the top of the Firelink aqueduct, it's super easy
Also, I've probably never come up because I'm new to this whole thing. I only have a few dark souls videos, and none of my other videos have done super well
Don't feel too bad about not being able to beat Gwyn. His fast slash is ridiculous. I doubt most people have reflexes fast enough to counter that attack. Therefore, in my opinion, Gwyn's fast slash attack goes against the tough but fair difficulty philosophy intended for the game.

I would do Elden Ring if I had an idea for a challenge run in it lol. I thought of doing an RL1 no equip load thing like I did with this game, but the only weapon with no equip weight is the Cipher Pata, and that thing needs like 30 Faith, I think, so it kinda defeats the purpose. I'm not sure what I could do that hasn't been done before, especially with my lack of skill in that game.
