What made this hard for the Tiger is that almost every jumpo have an entire rainforest in front of their mg port

as a tiger i can confirm that shooting the jumobs weakspot was hard because you cant see anything on the tank from the entire rainforest on the front of them

A major problem for the tigers is that it's weakness is much easier to shoot vs the jumbos. Think of how much you have to expose yourself as a Tiger to shoot a much lower weakpoint, vs the jumbo only has to shoot a weak point all the way at the top of the tiger, visible 360 around it too
the tiger can pen the upper front plate right at the bottom of the plate above the transmission if the jumbo's heads up, if the jumbo is angled, you can get through the lower hull. its much more reliable than going for the mg port. you can also hide the cupola by playing defilades and angling the turret. my order of business killing jumbos is too wait until they full bore push, shoot the track, and when they go full side on too you, end them.
Jumbo v Tiger 1 is scary. Jumbo 76 v Tiger 1 is even scarier
I loved participating In this… In the last match I was a m4a3e2 jumbo and got 3 kills and three assists. Also, it would been funny if you showed all of the jumbos just drive into the river after the last tiger was killed.
One time I was in the M4/T26 and a tiger 1 penetrated my turret with the over pressure round. I was so confused and had to go through the protection analysis. Only 1 pixel allowed the tiger to pen. That man has some luck.
It's crazy to see how few tiger players seem to aim for barrels or tracks. I think jumbo players learn pretty early on that their gun is weak compared to an IS-2, Tiger, or Panther and thus aim to disable first before going for the kill. tigers don't often run into something their guns can't pen so players that use them don't play with that same mindset of disabling before going in for the kill.
As your average idiot German main, I can confirm that I don’t really aim for the main gun. The last time I remember aiming for the cannon is on some medium I ambushed on the point who was only showing me his barrel, and on a t-95 while I was in my Panther F, which I got an assist on. Since German guns on average have great penetration and post-pen damage, those are the only two times I remember aiming for the cannon. Ever.
Good luck aiming for the tiny jumbo gun with the wobbly tiger while the Jumbo comes around the corner with stabilized 23kph, ready to shoot your giant muzzle brake "weakspot".
Also the tiger gets constantly uptiered to 6.7 or even 7.0, so it happens quite frequently that it isn't able to do anything except wait for its death coming through the flat 100mm front.
As a Tiger player, my money was on the Jumbos from the start. They're just so hard to kill from the front, their only weakness is the tiny MG port or a lucky hit through the transmission. The Tigers from the front are easy pickings because of their flat armour and wide coupolas. Interesting to see the battles tho.

the tiger 2 was made before the jumbo, yet its 1.4 BR higher. Same vehicle class.
the tigers definetly could have won if they kept their distance from urban parts of the map and made sure they didnt get flanked

no definitely won't win at any situation, tiger can't pen jumbo front only at machines gun but most of the jumbo use bushes and its too small to aim and cannon is also smaller than tiger but tiger cupola is much easier to aim and it's gun too
@@user-xo1kl4kf1rtigers lost because of a team wide skill issue, the mg port is in the same place on every jumbo and is not hard to target.

Most people dont know this but the Jumbos have another major weakspot. In between the side armor and the tracks is about 50 ish mm of armor which is easily penetrated by the tigers. Its why i don't angle in the jumbo, but some players dont seem to take this in effect.

The jumbo 76 is pretty good as a tank, but since it's at 6.3, it sucks. When I tried playing it, I always saw leopard 1 MBTs, which obviously isn't great.
yep 6.3 is too high for it most US tanks at br range of 5.0/7.0 are over BRed by at least like 0.5 br , same for germans but other wat around lmao Jagpanther is lower br than jumbo 76

Well the upside to that is you can pen Leo 1s anywhere in the 76, Leo 1 front plate is paper thin. But obviously the Leo 1 can also pen the 76 anywhere lol.
I think 6.3 is justified, I have been able to get a couple nukes in it and if it were to be at. 6.0 it would be downtiered to 5.0 which would make it OP.
Having played both the tiger h1 and the Sherman jumbo I’ve figured out the tiger h1 has another weakness from the front which is the sides of the frontal armor where their ammo is kept
I always shoot the front corners on the tiger to ammorack them

The 85 for some reason just claps that MG port, the IS-1 front and sides are really trolly to the 75, and the IS-1 has that sweet reverse speed to make getting at the sides hard.

One cheeky little spot to shoot a jumbo from the front is the turret neck of you can’t get the mg port the turret neck gets alot off guard

Well, im good with the Jumbo winning, actually i knew it, since the cupola on H1 is literally deal breaker for the Tiger.. But try it with E variant where the Jumbo has to rely only on the barrel and tracks

As a Jumbo player I can say that the main weak spots of a jumbo are the machinegun port, cupola (if you have the right round), and the side around the track area.
I wonder how this would have gone if the Tiger E was used instead because it has the “better” cupola

I tend to usually hit the cupolas on tigers when they have bushes on it just because it’s such a big target.
Its a try-hard, play hard skill difference in my opinion. The American players always have to aim, compensate, improvise and think about the way that they can pen their opponents with that 75mm. It is a grind and a struggle bus, but, once you have the armor and the gun, German mains are kind of predictable. They rely on the bounce from things like the 75mm and then depend on the one-hit-kill from the 88mm at that BR.
To be honest, its the difference between playing on easy difficulty with an epic weapon and high grade armor to trying to win with a basic weapon and high grade armor. The situation requires more skill and planning on the American side than park, point, shoot on the German side. Aiming skills just have to be higher because otherwise, American players could never get past the German ones. They would always lose against Russian and German heavies.
Less smoke, more kills
Writing that comment even before watching the video. Of course tigers will lose to jumbos because tigers only have 1 option to kill a jumbo - to shoot it's side. Yes, they also can shoot mg port, but come on on, it's only possible while jumbo is not moving and you are very close to him. While jumbo can easily shoot a commander hatch of the tiger from far away. It would be fair to try tiger E vs jumbo, they at least do not have such a big commander hatch. But still jumbos will easily broke a gun and then flank and kill a tiger.
Well to be fair , a stabilizer and a .50 cal is fcking OP on urban maps . Shoot on the move and brake tracks with 3 hits of a heavy mg is just insane , even some small tank guns need 2 or more hits to brake tracks .

You should try this in Sim battles, then it won't be so easy to hit the Tigers barrels

I've done a 1v1 against a panther a before because he didnt beleave me that a jumbo will annihilate anything up until 5.7... jumbo is just op. apcr can easily pen the panthers turret aswell

The Jumbos without the smoke make me cringe.
Just saturating the field with smoke gets rid of the Tiger's main advantage and forces them to either advance or wait, either way would be an advantage for the jumbo. Instead, I see one or two launches of smoke and then everyone is afraid of moving up

idk man, what I'm seeing the tigers were largely just very clueless. In several moments someone got shot right next to them but they were too tunnel visioned to even react, giving the jumbo time to kill 2 to 3 before fire was even returned.
Tiger only disadvantage is it’s amour which needs angle which only happens when u are aware of the enemy if ambush u are dead

Here’s the weird thing for me at least i usually kill Jumbos pretty easily either with -3 shots, now there is the excuse im good with the Tiger and yes i am i killed 10 players by my self on the A point in the Swedish map and didn’t die once,
Here’s the story if you want to ready
now there was someone that followed me but died by a Tiger E, after killing 6 of them i had back up but at that time everyone was dead an we capture the A-Point, soon we continued until a bomb was drop one of us was killed, i was the farthest one (Tiger is a little slow in realistic) and didn’t get hit so i repaired my friends as they were very close and soon we continued, and found a tiger player, and he was good but died and then the other teammate died, and i took the kill, then the other teammate (A t-34-85) was killed by a Kv i think, can’t remember the replay is lost, and then i took the kill as he was reloading, and then my greedy ass thought 10/nuke = nuke so i well played as a plane, and had to J’ing to leave early as there was someone attacking me and it was another tiger but most are new players so easy kill, i not a new player i played for 1 and a half years as an American but i had an old account where i played since 2020-2021 but lost it so yeah, only recently i played as a the Germans
I play both, oddly enough i have a much better time with all variations of the tiger than i do with the jumbo. But i do agree the jumbo is good when played correctly, but thats like saying the tiger E is good if angled correclty. Both are good but it reallt depeneds on the player. Ps. The jumbo 76 should not be at 6.3, should be 6.0 at max.

Tiger was created for long range tank battles, jumbo was better on short range it was something like infantry heavy support tank but in long range jumbo gun was useless on Tiger front armor.

Hitting the commanders cupola doesn't knock the tiger out it just kills the commander
I think the cupola on the Tiger is wrongly modeled (the armor too).
Why do I think that? I have never heard that the cupola was a weak spot IRL, and when it comes to the armor Michael Wittmans tank took 3 direct hits from a Sherman firefly which were just a few meters away and it failed to penetrate the armor. (There are other examples of Tigers surviving numerous hits as well.)
When it comes to the Jumbo I have not seen any information.

the reason why the cupola on the tiger wasn't a weakspot irl is because tank engagements rarely happened at the ranges in this video. at longer ranges (more realistic distances), it would be almost impossible for a ww2 tank crew to hit such a specific spot on a tank and it was far more reliable just to fire center mass rather than risk missing the tank entirely
If the Tiger H1 was replaced by the Tiger E, I think this match could have been slightly more balanced. I still think the Jumbos would win, but removing the cupola weakness would greatly help the Tigers, especially at close range.

The Jumbo has a very favorable matchup against the Tiger. I'm not surprised at all by the outcome. The Tiger's weak spots are much easier to hit, and much less prone to volumetric nonsense.
