Today I start the largest event I’ve ever done where each major battle of WW2 will happen in order of the historic events that happened but the outcome of each major battle that happens in each event we do can shift the entire outcome of the war.

Fr though how badass would it be to recreat the actual battle of Kursk? I mean literally have 6000 tanks in one match over an Air RB sized map.

Well. This sure is interesting. I wonder if the war will go on longer than it originally did, will allied tanks that originally just barely did not make it before wars end such as the centurion be fighting?
The one time when you actually feel like you’re in a real tank when playing warthunder.
Nope it is still an arcade shooter and not a tank simulator. Tanks in WT are not even close in terms of simulation level to the airplanes.

@@Nitrox_909 the planes are fully simulated, you have to fly them and you do have a cockpit in SB, unlike tanks which have mouse aim and two artificial aim circles with top of tank view which is not even a commander.

Planes have mouse aim aswell and rely on an aiming cross aswell in rb and ab.
Just saying one is more "sim like" because it has an interior design would put squad and arma 3 vehicle combat over ghpc vehicle combat which would be ridicoulus.
In addition to that do planes have an absolute shitty damage model which is far inferior to tanks one... and that's something to think abt when even the tank damage model ain t that good.
Planes may give you more immersion throuhg the interior design but are calling planes sim and tanks acade in this game is just a 🤡 moment

Seemed to be more T-34 85's than usual, hell you don't even have access to them at Kursk let alone Provaroka when I played panzer general II. The only good tank I had as a prototype IS-1 and only max of T-34/76's and SU-122 / SU-152's.
Yes this is historically incorrect as T-34/ 85 was developed one year after this battle.

Well, it is alternate history based on previous outcomes and the T-34 used in the simulation is the closest one that War Thunder has. Unfortunately War Thunder doesn’t have the exact right one from what I understand.

War Thunder unfortunately doesn’t have the exact model that was used in the war from what I understand so this was the next closest one
@@ThunderWithMuffin Warthuner has t-34 (1942) in the USSR tree. Its literally the model that was used in the battle of Kursk. Even the T-34-57 is much more historically accurate than t34-85 becasue 57 existed in the time of the battle.

This is some BS at the setup to begin with, how do you justify T-34-85s from 1944 at Kursk?
War Thunder unfortunately doesn’t have the exact T-34 model that was actually used in the war from what I understand
Even though 1943 model is only in Chinese tree, you should have taken 1942 model, it is literally the same and WT does not model differences. Replacing it with a tank with far more superior gun is just ridiculous bias towards Russians.
