But what about apcr frequent at that br ? With them Jumbo can semi-reliable clap even the later Tiger E model, also other tanks can pen Jumbo in the mantlet thanks to it. + Bonus Jumbo have weakspots at the plates joints - about 100mm just above the tracks, 120+ at the hull corners if at an angle and small but explotiable cupola - can be pen even with its own M3 gun. And when angling Tiger have much more use od its machinegun/vision port that love to eat shells for no damage. Other than that you seem to get everything explained nice and clear
I'm always told of this elusive "Jumbo MG port" though all I tend to see is a mass of bushes. Though I honestly enjoy watching Jumbo and Tiger players who don't seem to know about each others weaknesses and wind up in a slapping fight (especially at a distance).
I originally started with the German family tree to unlock the tiger. I thought it was the best tank ever built. When I got the Tiger, there was only one thing: disappointment. But after a while I learned how to play it and now I love it. Oh, and it looks damn cool.
Most of the time when I play Tiger I murder everyone and everything although whenever I fave a Jumbo I angle and wiggle my turret in order not to get my gun barrel. When I play jumbo I bully things, destroying tracks and barrels but not really killing anything since by the time I am done disabling the enemy my teammates arrive and steal the kill
Ok so from doing research when I was curious about what those launchers were. They were not smoke launchers rather discharge launchers ment to deter any infantry attempting to climb onto the vehicle. Don't know how they work but that's all i got. Take a grain of salt since I'm not certain if it's 100% true or 50% factual.
This is a very good video, and personally, I’m mad that I’m two days late. But a little bit of my input. For the Tiger to win in this scenario, it requires actual thought. You have to aim at the correct spots and hit your shots. Something that German players don’t do, because every tiger at 5.3 thinks they’re invincible. I personally play the tiger like it’s a glass cannon. It hits hard but you are most definitely not invincible. There’s my totally professional input.
Thank you for the professional input. Most tanks the Tiger I faces, it doesn't have to do any real aiming. But on the Jumbo, this is probably the most difficult tank for the Tiger to kill. I think it's interesting that the armor and the cannon on both tanks are completely reversed. Jumbo has amazing armor and a weak cannon, Tiger has an amazing cannon and weaker armor.
@@CrabbyPattyMoox the thing is, the situation of the tiger vs jumbo in the controlled environment would happen only if the tiger player was pretty new to the game. But what you pretty much never see is a tiger player that could take that jumbos MG port at 200 meters. I have had multiple times in both Tiger 1s where I have came up against a jumbo spearheading an assault, send an 88 through the port with no issue, then help wipe the rest of that assault. But I’m not average, I have 600 kills with the tiger and I even have the elephant decal that you get after killing 300 Russian tanks. But I play the tiger like a moron. I send it, front of the pack, brawling. And I end up alone, after my teammates disentegrated behind me. In my experience, the tiger is better. But it is all down to who is playing what tank.
Angling is not an instant solution. The best games I had on the Tiger were mostly reliant on map knowledge, flanking and ambushing unaware enemies. Kinda like how I play the M4A1 76 (W) but without stabilizer. In vast majority of those games, angling rarely came into play or never at all. Another problem with angling might be due to internet latency where you have angled but it hasn't registered for the enemy yet so you get penned. But at 5.3, Nashorn is the real gem. A platform with decent mobility that also packs one of the fastest firing long 88's. Had more success brawling with it than the Tiger I. Stay close to teammates and pick off distracted enemies that your allies have trouble penning if camping from a good long range spot feels boring. And around 24 rounds should empty the side ammo racks for no armor best armor shenanigans sometimes.
6.3 america is just painful. I legitimately do not want to play RB with my line up, it’s just outclassed by everything. 6.3 SB with the US is quite competitive, but at RB you just face Gen 1 MBTs and ATGMs all the time with your sh*tbox Sherman and early Pershing’s
I like both tanks very much, though I do prefer the Tiger and thats just because of my preference of sacrificing armor for big gun Plus this is a video game lmao the Tiger needs something it struggles with to make the game fun and balanced if it didnt, the 5.3 BR would be overun with Tigers I enjoy the 5.3 BR and think its fine where the Tiger and Jumbo are
My problem with the jumbo is that it faces other tanks than the tiger and panther. For most minor nations the average interaction with a jumbo is: you see a jumbo going 30kph it one shots u cuz you dont have armor and you cant do anything other than pray to gajin that volumetric will not eat your shell with the mg port but i dont think you will hit it cuz the jumbo is moving and probably has bushes. Yeah its balanced agains germany and russia but what about everyone else?
And then there is the IS-2, which has a big big gun, somewhat good mobility, long reload, and mediocre armor layout (at least the first one). Still a very enjoyable tank, that I love to play, because it's fun and I like it. As for the other two I have only played the Jumbo as I have been avoiding playing german vehicles. Jumbo is really good at close range as you said, but man, when you have a long range map, you are better of playing another vehicle. Dunno how the Jumbo fares now, as I have not played US in like a year and a half.
These launchers on the hull of the Tiger H1 are S-Mine fragmentation greande launchers, not smoke launchers. They are supposed to be a close range defense against infantry.

Something about the tiger I that should be changed is removing the physical model for the smoke launchers as if your gun is in that general area you ARE PERFECTLY ANGLED. Problem with being perfectly angled is you can’t depress the gun but at range you can bounce up to 30 tank rounds in one match as people struggle to pen an angled tiger.
1 thing to note that in war thunder russia and germany have heavily nerfed firepower, ammunition, engines, armor etc and USA and some other nations have buffed armor such as the case with jumbo, T29, T34 so on so forth
Tiger should win if it is just vehicle vs vehicle and EVERYTHING else is the same including the player. It is just a better tank. The thing that gets it killed is A. Teammates and B. The tiger player is usually bad because they are newer to the game and the tank is harder to use.

I disagree. The Tiger would be more likely to get the first one or two shots and make them good, after that, it's up to the Jumbo. If skill is equal, the Jumbo has the edge because of its better armor.
We did it boys, we balanced WT The gun on the jumbo is still worse than the tiger tho so it should definitively get lowered back to 4.3 or 4.7 BR (this is of course a joke btw, I shouldn't have to say it, but there's people who think the sides of their T14 should be able to bounce an 88mm at point blank)
I actually thought this was serious before I clicked read more. But with the t14, I know it can be good still at 4.7 but almost always you are uptiered to 5.3 and tigers and panthers make angling useless. They won’t bring it back to 4.3 I know, but I wish it was still there cause people with a brain cell can just shoot turret cheeks and kill it. T-34-57 deserved to be at 4.7 tho

The evolution of the German main is getting stuck at 5.3-5.7 switching to the US to abuse the same Jumbo and Cas as they suffered through as it was 1944
Also, one thing about the Tiger is that it has some box in the center of the tank that can somehow stop the BP-540 HEAT round from the ISU-152. I learned that the hard way.
@@CrabbyPattyMoox Not exactly. As stated, in the center of the upper glacis there is some sort of box. Most othe4 rounds go through no problem but the HEAT jet got stopped. I know the infamous drivers hatch and avoided it for that reason, I did not know about that mystical box inside. It may (hopefully) gotten fixed but that is what I experienced.
Tbh if you hold a decent spot the tiger feels invincible as you'll have enemies from only 1-2 directions that they usually cant attack all at once and the neutral sterring feels like you can really keep the tank on a swivel from choke to choke. But yeah fuck those smoke launches makes using the tiger on anything but flat ground horrid. What I usually enjoy with german tanks is that a good 70-80% of the time the enemies first shot wont pen or will do minor damage giving you time to properly aim and as long as you hit you'll usually kill whatever you hit as long as you know weakspots of heavier tanks. The really problem is that other nations dont have major 5.3 line ups and Germany does neally have tanks in the 4.0+4.7 range leading to 5.3 being constantly uptiered to 5.7-6.3, mainly 6.3 and for many newer germany players making the jump from 3.7-4.0 to 5.3 is a big one and then of course they get uptiered to 6.3 leading to Hurr durr stupid germany player has no awarness and cant rely on his armor. Thankfully the prototype panther is gonna help bring life to 5.0 germany
Amazing video, love the new perspectives. Love that its not another 'german main bad' echochamber, but a two-sided video that does a fair review of both vehicles. Yeah the Tiger H1 in WT is good, but not perfect, requires lots of skill with positioning. Angling will lead to somebody else seeing your unangled front or overangled side, if you are on open ground. You gotta use cover to effectively angle, or know the battlefield. Had a chance to play enough with the Jumbo. Even Panthers struggle to penetrate the front, if you angle with cover, even Tiger 2s cannot go through the frontal plate. The gun is okay, but anything more than a Tiger will not die, unless you are able to flank it. Which on some maps, its not working out. Tiger H1 and Jumbo are a good match, if the Tiger is an experienced player. Otherwise, the Tiger is easily lost, as it is matched against vehicles that can penetrate it's hull armor somewhat easily. Oh yeah, even when you do angle correctly, a T-34-85 can often go through your lower side, insane angled penetration and all that.
The Tiger was not armed with an anti-tank gun. And no, it was not designed as a tank killing vehicle, but it was initally supposed to help with breakthroughs. You may call it an Infantry tank (like the brits did) or an Assault tank. Also, the so called "smoke launchers" on the hull are not smoke launchers, but pods for explosibles that were supposed to be detonated by the crew when enemy infantry got up, close and personal. Again, reinforcing its Infantry support role.
Can you do a video about the M4A3(76) and the Panther A? I feel like the 76 is just over-tiered along with the T20, but maybe I suck at the game. Edit: Maybe the Panther is just under-tiered, but essentially no difference.
They ruined the Jumbo and Shermans by removing the extra armor that the hull MG added, it's only about 3mm to 20mm thick now and can be killed by just above 50 cal AAA
I have no idea what your talking about with tiger armor. I bounce so many shots and survive a long time and get many kills. It takes more skill but can be way better And the problem with your battle senario, it starts way to close. Like in a city is only one senario
In my scenario, at longer ranges, the best the Tiger can realistically do is stop the Jumbo from driving. Shoot the tracks or the transmission. Then it turns into a 5-minute "battle" with nothing interesting happening. More often, the Tiger will bounce or miss the Tracks/transmission, and the Jumbo will continue to close the distance.

I think the Tiger 1 is more versatil with its far superior firepower. The Tiger lol pens literally every single medium tank at 5.7 and can comfortably destroy everything it fights with a good weak spot shot while the Sherman jumbo really struggles against other shermans and T 35 85, or god forbid an IS 2
Yes fair fight. However both players should be equally skilled. In a tiger I kill jumbos with ease. In jumbos I kill the tigers with ease. The unique situation largely dictate the outcome followed by orientation, munitions & player experience.
The welds on those t34(like nearly 2.5k of them and hundreds Kv1's present in 1941 and throughout the war would suffer from horrible welds, unbored guns, missing parts and other such mistakes mostly caused by one massive factory that built 40% of T34's. 37mm and 50mm guns could easily cause faults in the armor, not to mention the crapped crew, transmission and other issues that caused it to be rather slow and the overworked commander who had to do 2 roles. The t34 was rather trash and was apart of the many thousands of Soviet Tanks destroyed during Barbarossa tho some will try to claim it was just those T26's and BT tanks

another ammunition that can pen the humbo is 17 pounder APDS with 228mm of pen (its more in reality due to other factors) witch can easily penetrate the jumbo at most ranges
Other tanks that can kill the Jumbo from off the top of my head: Sturmpanzer, Spj funny, ho-ro, Ikv 103, (I)SU-122, Type 75 SPH, Ostwind II, German M41, Jpz 4-5, 2S3M, ASU-85, SU-122P, Ratel 90, Chi-ha LG, ST-A1, ST-A2, M36B2, Japanese M41, Type 63, SU-100, M36B1, CA Lorraine, ELC bis, Pvkv m/43, Strv 74, M-51. Ok, so I went to take a look at the tech trees halfway through. I ignored APCR in this list, so I'm leaving out more vehicles that kill the jumbo from the front (not the mg port). There are so many tanks that can kill the Jumbo or the Tiger, and I really didn't feel the need to mention them. Most of these tanks you won't see often in a game. I can NOT EVER, remember being killed by a Charioteer in my Jumbo. That's not to say it's not possible, just that it doesn't happen often in a game. You have all these tanks to worry about, but most are extremely easy to kill even with the Jumbo's 75 including the Charioteer. So why worry about them? They CAN get you, but all you have to do is shoot them first; easy.
I'm gonna ask this because I genuinely don't see many mention or use this. When I play the Tiger and Panther, I aim just below the mantlet of the Jumbo and penetrate probably 7 out of 10 times. Why don't more use it? I find it easier and more reliable than the MG port. Sure, it's a bit trolly but not as trolly as the Tiger's mantlet for example. I find that a weak spot that's often over looked and withint 500m is not hard to get through for the Tiger and easy for the Panther. I do think the Tiger is a better tank overall especially on longer ranged maps. But the Jumbo definitely has advantages the Tiger doesn't especially on close quarters maps. In addition to that, if you don't just look at Tiger vs Jumbo, the Russian 85mm can cut through the Jumbo's lower side so easily, easier than the Tiger, that a decent angle does make it better when facing Russian tanks in my eyes. But like anything it's a matter of strengths and weaknesses. If there were more BR space I do think the Tiger should be a touch higher in BR but since it's limited, I agree with the Tiger and Panther D at 5.3 at this point.
As a German Enjoyer i really don t know how a tiger can miss the mg port or between the turret and ufp spot i usally don t have any troubles when facing jumbos in my Tiger E cuz the majority are braindead But a Good tiger vs Good jumbo the Tiger will win in 7/10 cases in cqb its a diffrent story.

Thats basically assuming all Jumbo players know what to properly do. Its easy to meet a Jumbo player that becomes too cocky. Many H1 players are dumb, so are many german tanks, BUT, they have very potent gun. In an H1 vs Jumbo situation, it comes down to player skill. Even a jumbo can hit shots they cant pen, H1s can hit the turret and pen it somehow. Theres some sort of luck involved,. but your skill definitely changes stuff
Obviously it's not a fair fight. HOWEVER what about Tiger 2s with BMPs and atgms? Tiger 2s and Pershings fighting T 54s ans 55s? The devs desperately need to make more tiers and brs but refuse to for whatever reason.
The reason itself is fairly obvious. You get into a match, get killed by something above your tier, and think to yourself "If only I had (next vehicle in the tree) then I'd be able to face those". Then you get the next vehicle, face something stronger than you, repeat. It is to make you constantly want the next best thing enough that you either spend money on premium time,buy a premium vehicle, or spend GE to rush research. Because clearly, you tell yourself, once you own that thing you'll be invincible. It's the same reason they constantly add new top tiers, there needs to be a next best thing.

Yeah the Jumbo is fun if it wasn't for the fact you get full uptiers where you are 100% useless most of the time. I kept track of my Match making at 5.3 US for 20 games. 1 game was a 5.3 (I did kick ass.), 2 games were 5.7, 6 games were 6.0... and 11 games were 6.3, a 55% full bottom tier where your guns are lacking, armor and mobility are lacking. It's not fun or fair, it got to the point I saw I was in another 6.3 match and left. Why would *I want to play* a game where I can't have fun, won't get much done or won't do good?
tiger wins almost everytime unless you are both moving and come to a halt the jumbo will win because of the stabilizer, the tiger h1 will literally win in any other scenario and dont even get me started on the tiger E, the jumbos weakspot is not hard to hit at all which is something you seem to just be forgetting, the mg port is a weakspot you know that right?
Jumbo 76 should be at 5.7 or 6.0 The 75 jumbo should be at 5.0 Edit: and the ebr 1951 should be 4.7 or 5.0 NOT 5.3 The m3 75mm is way too little at 5.3 or higher

One problem I have with the this video is that it suggests that the Germans struggled fighting KV1 and T-34 with pz3s but historically pz3s killed the most T-34s out of any tank of the war the armor of the T-34 is so bad lol otherwise it’s greattt. Also I understand your not a historian
I recommend reading up on the design "downgrades" of the t34 in russian factories. Basically most not all russian factories did such wonders as : most optics for the commander removed, wide view gunner scope removed, most bolts from the rear armor removed, turret Ventilation what is that?, persicope glass was not bulletproof, persicopes fogged up all the time, no radios just use flags lol, no turret basket wtf, no breach guard. These things combined meant that the turret crew was trying to not get fucking murdered by their own cannon and didnt look at the periscopes and i will just remind you they had basiccaly 3 persicopes only 1 driver persicope, 1 gunner scope (probably the only good sight in the tank) the commander that was probably occupied with loading the gun or fucking useing flags to command other tanks also the only commander sight was the wierd one at the top of the turret (it cant even turn 180°) also fun fact the EPIC armor of the t34 was heat treated too much and was too hard so instead of deforming and stoping a shell it spalled and injured the crew that is why a lot of t34 s in 1941 got killed by 20mm and 37mm guns. There is wayyy more downgrades if you want to find them search up factory nr 183 it produced about half the t34s in ww2.
Really boy I have used the tiger many times sometimes I would actually get to a good spot or play it right without knowing and get 11 kills some of the three of four jumbos
The t34 sucks the armor would get weaker and weaker if hit to many times causing the armor to slump down and t34s were cramped and has horrible vision they would take so many hits from 7.5cm canons and short 75mm still they realized they were under fire
Honestly, i’ve been maiming germany ground with the 2 tigers and panther A and jumbo players are absolute dogshit, i’ll be leaving matches with over 10 kills most of the time. even in uptiers i preform well in both tigers betting usually 5 to 6 kills and a few assists every match. The things you listed in the video about the weak spots and where to shoot the tiger, most opponents don’t actually realise where to shoot and just blindly fire at the tiger, only experienced players know what to do and how to do it when fighting a tiger… most of the the time anywayd
The tiger is a very good tank if played well, the jumbo is a very good tank if played well, but if they aren’t played well they are both pretty bad but overall I think they are equal, one has better firepower one has better armour. I don’t think one is better then the other I think that they are equal in performance
I agree, they are very balanced. But for me, the Tiger H1's cupola is just too big a weak spot, and it's just enough to tip the balance in favor of the Jumbo.

No, it ain't. Two drivers of equal skill? The Tiger will win every single time, without question, any mode, any map, any weather, almost any position. Source: I drive the Jumbo, a lot.
The soviets have an advantage when it comes to fighting against the Jumbo, their guns lack a muzzle brake. When i'm using the T-34-85 and I need to 1v1 a Jumbo, I always charge against them. At point blank range the 85mm APHEBC can penetrate the UFP of a Jumbo... Is a lot easier to do that than trying to hit the volumetric mess that is the Jumbo MG port.
To correct you. Germany do suck but not all of them, there are many experienced German tiger players that can handle a jumbo like a M4A1 poop tank, in my opinion German players are decent and same goes for the Americans too. You just need to know what your doing and plan out ideas before executing it.

I think that's probably right. I didn't really look into the hull mounted launcher things that much.
Think of an m203 on an M4 rifle but instead of 40mm it shoots hand grenades.
Imagine shooting those and tracking anything that came head on… I would stop complaining about them for sure

But what you pretty much never see is a tiger player that could take that jumbos MG port at 200 meters. I have had multiple times in both Tiger 1s where I have came up against a jumbo spearheading an assault, send an 88 through the port with no issue, then help wipe the rest of that assault. But I’m not average, I have 600 kills with the tiger and I even have the elephant decal that you get after killing 300 Russian tanks. But I play the tiger like a moron. I send it, front of the pack, brawling. And I end up alone, after my teammates disentegrated behind me. In my experience, the tiger is better. But it is all down to who is playing what tank.

Angling is not an instant solution. The best games I had on the Tiger were mostly reliant on map knowledge, flanking and ambushing unaware enemies. Kinda like how I play the M4A1 76 (W) but without stabilizer. In vast majority of those games, angling rarely came into play or never at all. Another problem with angling might be due to internet latency where you have angled but it hasn't registered for the enemy yet so you get penned.
But at 5.3, Nashorn is the real gem. A platform with decent mobility that also packs one of the fastest firing long 88's. Had more success brawling with it than the Tiger I. Stay close to teammates and pick off distracted enemies that your allies have trouble penning if camping from a good long range spot feels boring. And around 24 rounds should empty the side ammo racks for no armor best armor shenanigans sometimes.
6.3 america is just painful. I legitimately do not want to play RB with my line up, it’s just outclassed by everything. 6.3 SB with the US is quite competitive, but at RB you just face Gen 1 MBTs and ATGMs all the time with your sh*tbox Sherman and early Pershing’s
I like both tanks very much, though I do prefer the Tiger and thats just because of my preference of sacrificing armor for big gun

My problem with the jumbo is that it faces other tanks than the tiger and panther. For most minor nations the average interaction with a jumbo is: you see a jumbo going 30kph it one shots u cuz you dont have armor and you cant do anything other than pray to gajin that volumetric will not eat your shell with the mg port but i dont think you will hit it cuz the jumbo is moving and probably has bushes. Yeah its balanced agains germany and russia but what about everyone else?

And then there is the IS-2, which has a big big gun, somewhat good mobility, long reload, and mediocre armor layout (at least the first one). Still a very enjoyable tank, that I love to play, because it's fun and I like it. As for the other two I have only played the Jumbo as I have been avoiding playing german vehicles. Jumbo is really good at close range as you said, but man, when you have a long range map, you are better of playing another vehicle. Dunno how the Jumbo fares now, as I have not played US in like a year and a half.
These launchers on the hull of the Tiger H1 are S-Mine fragmentation greande launchers, not smoke launchers. They are supposed to be a close range defense against infantry.

Something about the tiger I that should be changed is removing the physical model for the smoke launchers as if your gun is in that general area you ARE PERFECTLY ANGLED. Problem with being perfectly angled is you can’t depress the gun but at range you can bounce up to 30 tank rounds in one match as people struggle to pen an angled tiger.
1 thing to note that in war thunder russia and germany have heavily nerfed firepower, ammunition, engines, armor etc and USA and some other nations have buffed armor such as the case with jumbo, T29, T34 so on so forth
Tiger should win if it is just vehicle vs vehicle and EVERYTHING else is the same including the player.
It is just a better tank. The thing that gets it killed is A. Teammates and B. The tiger player is usually bad because they are newer to the game and the tank is harder to use.

@@CrabbyPattyMoox Not exactly. As stated, in the center of the upper glacis there is some sort of box. Most othe4 rounds go through no problem but the HEAT jet got stopped. I know the infamous drivers hatch and avoided it for that reason, I did not know about that mystical box inside. It may (hopefully) gotten fixed but that is what I experienced.
I just stay away from the tiger 1s, I find the panthers more enjoyable.
Tbh if you hold a decent spot the tiger feels invincible as you'll have enemies from only 1-2 directions that they usually cant attack all at once and the neutral sterring feels like you can really keep the tank on a swivel from choke to choke. But yeah fuck those smoke launches makes using the tiger on anything but flat ground horrid. What I usually enjoy with german tanks is that a good 70-80% of the time the enemies first shot wont pen or will do minor damage giving you time to properly aim and as long as you hit you'll usually kill whatever you hit as long as you know weakspots of heavier tanks. The really problem is that other nations dont have major 5.3 line ups and Germany does neally have tanks in the 4.0+4.7 range leading to 5.3 being constantly uptiered to 5.7-6.3, mainly 6.3 and for many newer germany players making the jump from 3.7-4.0 to 5.3 is a big one and then of course they get uptiered to 6.3 leading to Hurr durr stupid germany player has no awarness and cant rely on his armor. Thankfully the prototype panther is gonna help bring life to 5.0 germany

Yeah the Tiger H1 in WT is good, but not perfect, requires lots of skill with positioning. Angling will lead to somebody else seeing your unangled front or overangled side, if you are on open ground. You gotta use cover to effectively angle, or know the battlefield. Had a chance to play enough with the Jumbo. Even Panthers struggle to penetrate the front, if you angle with cover, even Tiger 2s cannot go through the frontal plate. The gun is okay, but anything more than a Tiger will not die, unless you are able to flank it. Which on some maps, its not working out.
Tiger H1 and Jumbo are a good match, if the Tiger is an experienced player. Otherwise, the Tiger is easily lost, as it is matched against vehicles that can penetrate it's hull armor somewhat easily. Oh yeah, even when you do angle correctly, a T-34-85 can often go through your lower side, insane angled penetration and all that.
The Tiger was not armed with an anti-tank gun. And no, it was not designed as a tank killing vehicle, but it was initally supposed to help with breakthroughs. You may call it an Infantry tank (like the brits did) or an Assault tank. Also, the so called "smoke launchers" on the hull are not smoke launchers, but pods for explosibles that were supposed to be detonated by the crew when enemy infantry got up, close and personal. Again, reinforcing its Infantry support role.

They ruined the Jumbo and Shermans by removing the extra armor that the hull MG added, it's only about 3mm to 20mm thick now and can be killed by just above 50 cal AAA

I eat tigers for breakfast in my jumbo. All it takes is APCR and youre done at any range. Plus, you can't pen the front plate of a jumbo
In my scenario, at longer ranges, the best the Tiger can realistically do is stop the Jumbo from driving. Shoot the tracks or the transmission. Then it turns into a 5-minute "battle" with nothing interesting happening. More often, the Tiger will bounce or miss the Tracks/transmission, and the Jumbo will continue to close the distance.

I think the Tiger 1 is more versatil with its far superior firepower. The Tiger lol pens literally every single medium tank at 5.7 and can comfortably destroy everything it fights with a good weak spot shot while the Sherman jumbo really struggles against other shermans and T 35 85, or god forbid an IS 2

Yes fair fight. However both players should be equally skilled. In a tiger I kill jumbos with ease. In jumbos I kill the tigers with ease. The unique situation largely dictate the outcome followed by orientation, munitions & player experience.
The welds on those t34(like nearly 2.5k of them and hundreds Kv1's present in 1941 and throughout the war would suffer from horrible welds, unbored guns, missing parts and other such mistakes mostly caused by one massive factory that built 40% of T34's. 37mm and 50mm guns could easily cause faults in the armor, not to mention the crapped crew, transmission and other issues that caused it to be rather slow and the overworked commander who had to do 2 roles. The t34 was rather trash and was apart of the many thousands of Soviet Tanks destroyed during Barbarossa tho some will try to claim it was just those T26's and BT tanks

another ammunition that can pen the humbo is 17 pounder APDS with 228mm of pen (its more in reality due to other factors) witch can easily penetrate the jumbo at most ranges

Sturmpanzer, Spj funny, ho-ro, Ikv 103, (I)SU-122, Type 75 SPH, Ostwind II, German M41, Jpz 4-5, 2S3M, ASU-85, SU-122P, Ratel 90, Chi-ha LG, ST-A1, ST-A2, M36B2, Japanese M41, Type 63, SU-100, M36B1, CA Lorraine, ELC bis, Pvkv m/43, Strv 74, M-51.
Ok, so I went to take a look at the tech trees halfway through. I ignored APCR in this list, so I'm leaving out more vehicles that kill the jumbo from the front (not the mg port). There are so many tanks that can kill the Jumbo or the Tiger, and I really didn't feel the need to mention them.
Most of these tanks you won't see often in a game. I can NOT EVER, remember being killed by a Charioteer in my Jumbo. That's not to say it's not possible, just that it doesn't happen often in a game. You have all these tanks to worry about, but most are extremely easy to kill even with the Jumbo's 75 including the Charioteer. So why worry about them? They CAN get you, but all you have to do is shoot them first; easy.
I'm gonna ask this because I genuinely don't see many mention or use this. When I play the Tiger and Panther, I aim just below the mantlet of the Jumbo and penetrate probably 7 out of 10 times. Why don't more use it? I find it easier and more reliable than the MG port. Sure, it's a bit trolly but not as trolly as the Tiger's mantlet for example. I find that a weak spot that's often over looked and withint 500m is not hard to get through for the Tiger and easy for the Panther. I do think the Tiger is a better tank overall especially on longer ranged maps.
But the Jumbo definitely has advantages the Tiger doesn't especially on close quarters maps. In addition to that, if you don't just look at Tiger vs Jumbo, the Russian 85mm can cut through the Jumbo's lower side so easily, easier than the Tiger, that a decent angle does make it better when facing Russian tanks in my eyes. But like anything it's a matter of strengths and weaknesses. If there were more BR space I do think the Tiger should be a touch higher in BR but since it's limited, I agree with the Tiger and Panther D at 5.3 at this point.

Thats basically assuming all Jumbo players know what to properly do. Its easy to meet a Jumbo player that becomes too cocky. Many H1 players are dumb, so are many german tanks, BUT, they have very potent gun. In an H1 vs Jumbo situation, it comes down to player skill. Even a jumbo can hit shots they cant pen, H1s can hit the turret and pen it somehow. Theres some sort of luck involved,. but your skill definitely changes stuff
Obviously it's not a fair fight. HOWEVER what about Tiger 2s with BMPs and atgms? Tiger 2s and Pershings fighting T 54s ans 55s? The devs desperately need to make more tiers and brs but refuse to for whatever reason.
The reason itself is fairly obvious. You get into a match, get killed by something above your tier, and think to yourself "If only I had (next vehicle in the tree) then I'd be able to face those". Then you get the next vehicle, face something stronger than you, repeat.
It is to make you constantly want the next best thing enough that you either spend money on premium time,buy a premium vehicle, or spend GE to rush research. Because clearly, you tell yourself, once you own that thing you'll be invincible. It's the same reason they constantly add new top tiers, there needs to be a next best thing.

Yeah the Jumbo is fun if it wasn't for the fact you get full uptiers where you are 100% useless most of the time. I kept track of my Match making at 5.3 US for 20 games.
1 game was a 5.3 (I did kick ass.), 2 games were 5.7, 6 games were 6.0... and 11 games were 6.3, a 55% full bottom tier where your guns are lacking, armor and mobility are lacking.
It's not fun or fair, it got to the point I saw I was in another 6.3 match and left. Why would *I want to play* a game where I can't have fun, won't get much done or won't do good?

One problem I have with the this video is that it suggests that the Germans struggled fighting KV1 and T-34 with pz3s but historically pz3s killed the most T-34s out of any tank of the war the armor of the T-34 is so bad lol otherwise it’s greattt. Also I understand your not a historian
I think on earlier T-34 models, the Panzer III was still better, but when the T-34's were upgraded the Panzer IIIs had to be replaced.
I recommend reading up on the design "downgrades" of the t34 in russian factories. Basically most not all russian factories did such wonders as : most optics for the commander removed, wide view gunner scope removed, most bolts from the rear armor removed, turret Ventilation what is that?, persicope glass was not bulletproof, persicopes fogged up all the time, no radios just use flags lol, no turret basket wtf, no breach guard. These things combined meant that the turret crew was trying to not get fucking murdered by their own cannon and didnt look at the periscopes and i will just remind you they had basiccaly 3 persicopes only 1 driver persicope, 1 gunner scope (probably the only good sight in the tank) the commander that was probably occupied with loading the gun or fucking useing flags to command other tanks also the only commander sight was the wierd one at the top of the turret (it cant even turn 180°) also fun fact the EPIC armor of the t34 was heat treated too much and was too hard so instead of deforming and stoping a shell it spalled and injured the crew that is why a lot of t34 s in 1941 got killed by 20mm and 37mm guns. There is wayyy more downgrades if you want to find them search up factory nr 183 it produced about half the t34s in ww2.

Honestly, i’ve been maiming germany ground with the 2 tigers and panther A and jumbo players are absolute dogshit, i’ll be leaving matches with over 10 kills most of the time. even in uptiers i preform well in both tigers betting usually 5 to 6 kills and a few assists every match. The things you listed in the video about the weak spots and where to shoot the tiger, most opponents don’t actually realise where to shoot and just blindly fire at the tiger, only experienced players know what to do and how to do it when fighting a tiger… most of the the time anywayd

The soviets have an advantage when it comes to fighting against the Jumbo, their guns lack a muzzle brake.
When i'm using the T-34-85 and I need to 1v1 a Jumbo, I always charge against them. At point blank range the 85mm APHEBC can penetrate the UFP of a Jumbo... Is a lot easier to do that than trying to hit the volumetric mess that is the Jumbo MG port.
