"it's a struggle if you don't know what you're doing".... This is true, but it's also true that if you don't have premium it's a bigger struggle.
I actually take a decent amount of APCR because you can kill the heavy Germans, you can go through unangled tiger h1s (and let's be honest they're usually not) and sometimes you can go through their turret face... Sometimes and you can go through the turret of Panthers along side their mg port
You can take a lof of ammo in late Shermans due fo the lower hull storage. I take half and half, since APCR can actually really help this thing deal with Tigers hulls, and Panther turrets.
Hitting Panther turret face tilts the hell out of me even using the 76. The shells get absorbed most of the time by either the optics or the mg.
You can go through them at a pretty steep angle too, just looking in the analysis at close quarters you can pen a tiger at 30 degrees.
Don't worry about the bushes on the Jumbo, it's almost like a law: If you have a Jumbo - put bushes on it....it's almost like having a Tiger and putting the big "DU DOCH NICHT" decal on it

I did 2 games with this thing last night and basically played with my brain off. Fought Germany on the first one and Russia on the 2nd one, did pretty well on both and won both. Even without an Ace crew, a maxed, non-Expert crew in BRs like this are still a joy to have especially with the 75 Jumbo because it can literally out-reload most opponents. Very nice with the barrel meta that the 75 Jumbo has to stick to :3

The problem with the jumbo is that it's incredibly tough to balance and therefore place into a suitable BR. It's sort of like the Maus problem, but this tank is twice as effective than the Maus for it's BR.

I have honestly had several really good games in the IS-4M recently. Getting decent downtiers as Russia and it honestly is a fun brain dead tank to play after a stressful shift. I give it a recommendation!
Whenever ibplay that I just get an uptier and immediately die
I remember bouncing shots in the enemy spawn for a solid 4 minutes in the IS-4. A Jagdtiger, Tiger 2, AA (of course), and other simply could not kill me
The cupola also works with taking out the jumbo. When playing the French jumbo, it was so easy to hit the American jumbos and hurt them reliably that way

Honestly, I still think the Jumbo is well balanced at 5.3. The gun may be a struggle, but track and barrel torture is still extremely effective with its fast reload. The armor won't save you all the time, and definitely not against experienced players, but it will give you time to disable the enemy tank.
My rule of thumb, bait a shot, then go for tracks first if you know your reload is faster, otherwise go for barrel first. With tracks and barrels deleted, either hold the line for your team, or move up and take them out. You can be a solid wall of a battering ram with equal effectiveness.

Useful Tips for Tiger I players：
when facing a jumbo, use your PzGr. shells and shoot the [transmission housing ]area , once it go through then comes the Overpressure, it will be a one shot kill
“useful” but germany players will just forget when facing the jumbo anyway lol
lol i just got addicted on jumbo tank this recently , and now u also playing it hehehe love it
in AB you get used to shooting the tracks or sprockets of a slightly angled jumbo. really catches them off guard and it’s a great kill shot

fun fact T-45 shot can go through the upper front plate on a Tiger 1

You gotta use the APCR on this more than you did, there were MANY times where it would have come in handy vs the Tiger 1's just in this video.
Some useless tips for this 75jumbo ：
1.don‘t shoot a Panther’s cupola with your poor M61shell,it won’t go through.The Mantlet and turret front are both 100mm thick ,so use your APCR instead of M61will make it easier.
2.don’t shoot a Tiger I’s Front glacis with M61 at a range of more than 100m ,it does nothing.
3.When a Tiger is angled , never shoot the hull.
4.APCR is really effective against those Tigers who don’t angle themselves.

yeah he must be too used to the 76, though to be fair it does pen at close range.
the P59 is my fav UFO, happy i got it when it came out.
I use that APCR in cobra king so much,it really work well,you even can pen panther D and A and G turret and tiger 2 turret
The first thing I noticed was you said that the machine gun is the biggest weak spot. Not to Germany. They can pen everything on the jumbo

You mean only long 88s and higher can reliably pen the jumbo? Yes I agree. But thats where skill is involved and usually it is not a problem

Note: the tiger 1 will almost always have shells on the left shoulder; right if you are facing them head on

Panthers can't go through the upper plate. They can go transmission area to immobilize the Jumbo, or turret front underneath the mantlet, but otherwise struggles to kill a smart unangled Jumbo except for an MG shot.
They can below 500 meters
That gyro stabiliser also makes it ten times better than ur average heavy tank.
Remember! The soviet 85mm can pen frontally as well, in close contact, with that ridiculous angle pen.
Honestly I always use t45 over m61 just because against tiger 1's, it has no issue going through the front plate and you can kill it in 2 shots if you place them well, and the same applies to panthers on their cheeks

to be honset thats the only way to deal with german cats effectively with Jombs

Might of been easier to penetrate the tigers using the APCR which he had the whole time...
This with only APCR is actually good in my opinion unless full uptiered
I played 2000+ battles with jumbos, once you know where to hit this vehicle is too strong even if in the last updates, vehicles with strong rounds have been added.
I like the 75 jumbo facing mostly regular 88’s and 75’s, but as soon as you get the 76 jumbo and get up tiered to 6.0, pretty much every game is 6.7, and long 88’s will go through you no problem while the same can not be said about your 76mm to a king tiger

i was fighting a t34-85 for 10 minutes in this thing, i had stock AP….
I remember at 4.3 BR how stupidly overpowered this thing was and now at 5.3 it is the best tank to slaughter Tigers and IS-2s with out any care in the world.
I would have to disagree with on not having long range large maps for that br range. Large maps like this in my opinion give more variety of how to play a map and make the game more interesting instead of being stuck on tiny urban maps all the time. Plus all the tanks that specialize at fighting at long range, mostly case make and light armour TDs especially fixed or limited gun traverse TDs, can have fun for once, instead of being stuck on another small urban map that some fast light or medium tank can just easily flank around in second and easily kill you. But needing more large maps or have more large maps that are already implemented in the game being used at top tier I definitely agree with.
I think that at low tiers, there needs to be a mix in range. If your get into an actual sniping map, say fields of Poland or something, the game *heavily* favors specific nations. Even the best US tank destroyers have nothing on German medium tanks at this BR. Past 800-1000 m and it’s extremely one-sided.
@@collander7766 oh yes a low tier I can agree, I am mostly talking about I guess would called mid tier being no lower than br 5.3-5.7 late tier III to tier IV. I find at these br range and up most tanks have the guns for the longer ranges and armour that will actually work at range, and areas for the light armour sniper tanks to be fully utilized. And yes I some nations would have more of an advantage probably being mostly Germany and Britain with there German Kwk/Pak 42s, 88s, Kwk/Pak 43s, Britains 17 pounders, and 20 pounders, and sabot rounds, but I have even done well and had good games with less capable long range tanks such as the Sherman 76s and KV-85, T-34-85s, and IS-1 on long range maps like Eastern Europe (long range version), Fields of Poland, and Vietnam.

I think that maps like Aral Sea, Carpathians, and El Alamein are perfect for this tier because they have long, open sniping ranges but also have enclosed areas where lighter tanks can flank and do their thing. Any tank has the potential to perform well on these maps if you play your cards right, as there are options for every playstyle

If anyone complains about you taking barrels out on tanks with a Jumbo, they obviously don't know how to play a Jumbo. If you aren't taking barrels and tracks, you're really going to struggle in this thing.
just so you know, every time i played 5.3 usa it's been a full uptier to 6.3, also, there's no difference between the cobra king and the jumbo, they're the same except the cobra king has a special skin
I'm calling Horse Pucky. I get one Shotted by Panthers from the front (not using the gunport) in my jumbo all the time. Panthers OP at 5.3-6.3
I remember when the Jumbo was 4.7BR. Even back then, people moaned it was too weak. Cobblers. It was savage at 5.3BR. But yeah, like most tanks that focus on armour, the current BR is set to make it decent on downtiers and not good on uptiers. I wouldn't take it vs tanks above 5.7BR. You do have to spend a lot of time shooting at turret cheeks with APCR ammo.

👍. U want to run camo / bushes…. Go for it! The jumbo 75 needs to drop to at least br 5. Because of the gun & lack of armour at br 6. Jumbo 76 drop it down to 5.7. How do ugly in same or down tier’s? Is there a app or a certain vehicle u have to buy to get them? Especially when I run the jumbo 75 I’m lucky if I only get a .5 br up tier

Me as a experienced wt around this br think that this thing needs to go down in br again. It is very easy to deal with if u know what ur doing, we all know that germany gets the best tier for tier vehicles up to 6.7. the tiger 2 in a full down tier is the most op thing in warthunder if u know how to play one, back to the jumbo, panthers are practically untouchable at range just like the tiger e's dont get me wrong i love to play the jumbo cuz people are dumb. However it is just bad.

Nah carrying that many on jumbo wouldn't make any difference than say 20 rounds, anything that can pen you from the front one shot you anyway

Tbh, I don't understand the problem about bushes. It's not like the bushes delete my memories of where the MG port is.

The left front rack of the Tiger 1 ALWAYS has ammo in it, even if it only carries 10 shells. For some reason it acts like 1st stage ammo.
Yes shooting barrels and cupolas is toxic gameplay, no matter what the enemy or your vehicle is! I usually even report players who's knowledge is limited to that unhonorable tactic.
