That's what happens when you slam an old hydraulic clutch, good habit to get into before you get in an older car so you don't have problems out on the road. Old sloppy seals in the will blow out if you move the pedal to fast but will last forever if you are gentle.
Congrats on taking this to the drag strip. Beats getting rock chips in your windshields every other race at the landing strip. Shame the Charger was not able to go up against your mustang. Using the new Raptor to decimate everything old is not a lot of fun. IMO. Because the outcome is already determined. Where is the drama in that Roman? lol Common man, it is like the race of the Challenger against that Toyota. No drama there. lol Perk up Tommy, this could have easily have been your father that it happened too. Remember, he did the flat on the LRD on that trail before you did. lol Just, just a matter of timing. A lot of your viewers cry for TFL to run manuals, but let's face it, unless they are competition clutches and beefed up for the task of dragging, this is going to happen to the old stock cars. (and I am being nice here not harping on the fact that I would expect nothing less from a GM product lol)

It is INSANE that a 6000+ lbs truck can BLOW AWAY a Corvette! The Ford F150 Raptor-R just DEMOLISHED both cars! Imagine how fast it's gonna be when that 700 HP motor is replaced with 1500 HP worth of Instant-Torque All-EV Battery Power in the near future! (i.e. in less than FIVE years!). V
There are some quick ones out there , even big trucks from the old days could give some modern day ones a fright i think , I remember as young bloke in the early 70`s ( vaguely ) going to the truck drags with my dad Across the pond ( at calder park Australia ) , a working truck an interstater cabover kenworth bobtail did a 14 second flat quarter , it had a TT 892 and allison auto , even some of the old macks with the small light weight cabin and the 237 6 cyl and 5 speed manual went like bullets bobtail . I miss the old days :) .

This is classic chevy tight here yes it did a 1 and half seconds faster than a warn out 150k mile cop car charger but it broke and its more than 15k more also a. Lower mile rt that's only 2wd would be alot closer to the vette.

The z06 of the same era would only trap 106 mph at sea level and I used to beat them with my freaking miata, no way that vette has a chance at 1 mile above sea level.

I'm waiting for someone to build a REAL Lighting (not that electric thing) by taking a Raptor R engine and dropping it in a 2wd regular cab shortbed truck.
It would probably be so unstable, it would lose every race, the reason the R in sport mode goes into 4a and the Trx is Awd, putting that much power down. If you could get a regular cab F150 with 4wd and the 5.0 or a ecoboost, and modify the engines, they outperform the old lighting easily.
