I’m no stranger to how good American performance cars can handle around a road course, and have been able to for quite some time now… But a part of me is still impressed at how well a 4,100 lb Mustang hustles around a track, especially the green hell. Mustangs and Camaros alike are legitimate sports cars.
shmee shouldn't exist, but with the amount of pathetic losers look out there that choose their testosteroneless heroes by the bundle, it's no surprise this dork is here. easy pass
Like Shmee a lot, he really has a passion for cars and it shows by how much hes done to get better at driving and learning about motorsports, hes an awesome dude
I got the ride in one of these not too long ago and the power combined with the sound is just truly unbelievable you are embraced in raw power and it’s exhilarating and truly to be experienced by anyone who loves sports cars… I was amazed at how soft the ride was, but gut wrenching fast !
Usually the speed and the cornering forces aren't very obvious on camera, but watching Misha being thrown around in that passenger seat really highlights not only the immense power but also the weight of that beast!
Yup, im really scratching my head wondering why misha hasnt driven any of the new shmeemobiles. I dont wanna be weird or gossipy but something is up. Shmee must let people who know how to drive better than him drive, He let randy drive the GT500 in the US and Button Willow and let one of the FFF Collection guys drive the Black Series at the same track, Misha hasnt driven either at the ring........curious
@@rhmbob82 you break it you buy it essentially. There are pretty much zero insurance companies that insure cars for the Nordschleife. Even though it is a public road during Touristenfahrten. There are some exceptions but it's very very rare.
Wow! It is great to finally see our American cars that can do more than burnouts and drag racing. A few of them coming down the pike these days. Plus, I do so love the sound of a throaty V8 with supercharger tones.
@@gerryjamesedwards1227 They’ve been able to for a looooong time; the stigma that they can’t is misplaced. Camaros and Mustangs have been good handling cars since the 70s.
Been following Shmee for YEARS, before the massive car collection became his and he was photographing others. Always cool to see how far he really has come. Good video Misha.
The GT500 DCT is smart enough to know if you're on the track and will power shift on the straights but will smoothly shift if your on undulating roads and corners.
Out of every car I've driven - true race cars, modified beasts, expensive exotics... this was the only car that ever made me giggle like a school girl...
14:26 A lot of that is due to differences in roads. In the US there's lots of long, wide, straight highways and so you get factory muscle cars with high HP and torque that are fast in a straight line but can't corner well. In Japan and lots of Europe, there are tighter, winding roads and so you get touring cars with decent power and excellent maneuverability.
The Voodoo is another story but every modern supercharged American V8 has been pretty bulletproof. It is hard to messup when you have loads of manufacturers still around with bolt on kits and decades of experience doing nothing but supercharging domestic V8s.
No, Tim, it's not theater. Those multiple hood catches are all there to physically keep that big ass hood in place to keep aero going well at 165+ mph. The GTD is basically this car with a transaxle, DRS, and EVEN wider tires.
Not necesserally a big Mustang fan but I'm gonna give credit where it's due, they sound awesome! Carbon wheels are phenomenal, it's one of the best upgrade you can do to your car, it reduce rotational mass, acceleration, breaking, cornering and so on...But sooooooo pricey.
You need 200TW tires to get on the throttle early with the GT500. I can't tell you how fast the car is with a proper tire setup. Not many cars scare me but the GT500 around Buttonwillow did. We never driver these cars with MP4S on track lol Out of the box def preferred the ZL1 1le if you want street tires but the GT500 is an animal.
I sat in one a few weeks ago and the way they placed the dash cam facing the hood is actually how high the hood is. I'm 6'2 and I was barely able to see over the hood. Pretty huge hood.
Hopefully, someday the Dark Horse or even better the Dark Horse R will arrive at the Nurburgring. Also, it will be a spectacle to watch the all new Mustang GT3 and GT4 compete at the 24h race.
The Dark horse will be inferior to a GT350.. Guaranteed.. The good ol' days are over for big power V8's in America.. Joe Biden and his Democrats are ruining our Country.. Camaro Discontinued, Dodge and its awesome stretch of big Badass V8 muscle cars is over after this year, they are going to a turbo inline 6cyl.. The mustang will be next.. and the Corvette is on borrowed time.. Its sad.. I just bought a 22 Camaro SS 1LE Manual, and it will be the last V8 rear drive manual car that I will ever get to buy new.. I hope this can all be changed back but I doubt it.. They are trying to force electric cars on everyone, but here in the states, not all of us live in cities, its wide open big country roads where I live in southern Indiana..
I would like to ask Misha, if he was behind the steering wheel, could you keep the the pace with that GT3 RS that pass you guys on 7:34? Thanks upfront!
that great big power bulge out front is very reasuring when you put your foot down on the Ring....and yes...i think Misha would have prevered it if he could have driven it...but no chance for that with this guy...cheers.
In another video. Shmee turned 2 laps by himself and the GT500 was planted running close to 160 mph. The GT500 is amazing on a road course or dragstrip
Dat is het leuke aan Tim, met iedere auto die hij heeft rijdt hij ook, en het is voor hem pas compleet met een bezoek aan de Nordschleife met zijn auto's. Nu nog die andere twee, de Emira en de Zenvo.
With great power comes great responsibility, turns out this thing likes to get slippy out there!
That sounds like politics to me Tim,hate the clichés!🤔🤯😱
I think we'd all have preferred to see Misha drive it, and without gloves.
It’s all in how you drive it
@@michaelc3977 i mean, im happy to see anyone driving. Misha's reactions as a passenger are usually great, especially with Tim

I hope Misha gets to drive the Emira
carmaraderie 😆
the low RPM rumble is intoxicating.
absolutely love it.
V8s sound great no matter the Rpm but to me the low RPM is my favourite.
Love it
One of my favorite “features” of the V8’s as well. I have a 21 GT PP and I love the foot off the gas gear holding rumble in sport+ mode.
For me too. We call it gurgling in Spain.

ON GOD brother

the gentleman Shmee + american muscle car + Nürburgring and of course Misha, what a combo

I just love how polite shmee is. He really asked if he could open his own hood.
it is very british and i lovve it haha
