The cost is almost the same for both cement and gypsum plaster and cement plaster is much more durable as gypsum is not water resistant. Then why should we choose gypsum over cement especially when considering Kerala climate conditions.
Beautifully explained. There is one more excellent product in Saint-Gobain Gyproc is EliteMR, which is moisture resistant gypsum plaster. It provides extra protection with low absorption of moisture from air or surface giving excellent results in skirting area application with problems arising out of capillary action and efflorescence.

ഇതിന്റെ strength കുറവല്ലേ. ഉദാഹരണത്തിന് furniture ഒക്കെ തട്ടിയാൽ damage വരില്ലേ, സിമെന്റുമായി compare ചെയ്യുമ്പോൾ.
