About this 30 Min Yin Yoga Class
Yin yoga is a deeply relaxing practice where postures are held for 2-7 minutes, traditionally. Today we’ll be holding calming yin yoga poses for about 2 minutes each. This class is focused on the lower body, legs, and hips.
If you sit a lot, do weight lifting, or are just working on flexibility and mobility in the lower body, legs, or hips, this class is for you! :)
Benefits
Longer holds like in this yin yoga class have 2 benefits:
1. Yin poses allow the body to relax into the yoga pose and find a deeper expression.
2. Resting in stillness allows the MIND to settle into the pose. You will feel your nervous system relax and stress and a busy mind melt away as we hold these yin yoga poses.
Timing
Yin yoga is a great morning yoga class to wake up gently for your day. It's also a great wind down class at night because of the nervous system calming effects yin yoga has.
Whether you need yoga for anxiety or a deep stretch, this lower body yin yoga class will open up your legs and hips and calm your mind. This yin yoga class is great for all levels from beginner yoga to intermediate yoga - or anyone wanting to feel a little more freedom in their body.

This was a wonderful class for me.😊 It was too hard on my husband’s knees😢. Both of us are in our 70’s.

Tell your husband not to worry it was hard on my hips and hamstrings and I’m in my 20s 😂 I wouldn’t worry too much about your knees, the fact you guys still practise is truly inspiring 😀🤍
Often adding a blanket under the knees or doing the pose laying on your back with your knees towards the ceiling (you can find pose examples online if you look up the name of the pose in supine position). I love to hear about y'all doing yoga together!
