I love that your dog regularly looks at me to check if I’m still doing the exercises
I was half expecting the dog to join in the exercise :-)
Lol! She's here for emotional support 😂
😂

Thank you so much for not talking so much. It was just the right amount of talking that was super relaxing and straight to the point . ❤
Yes. I totally agree
And no music! ☺️
I love this but I do have to make people aware how powerful this is. I've been on a healing journey from past trauma for years and got into yoga again due to this channel. I tend to suppress my emotions because I'm used to being in an environment where I'm only safe when I do that. When doing this yoga, I never cried. But after a whole month of doing it at least 3 times a week, I'm suddenly finding to correlation between this yoga and the amount of times I took time to cry. One of the things my therapist suggested me to do is to practice sitting down with negative emotions because I have an instict not to do it. And I dont look forward to it most of the time. But this month its been easier to cry since doing this yoga. Highly recommended but do with caution. Make sure you're in a safe comfortable environment to fully feel the effects of this yoga
Sounds like you are becoming more connected and feeling safe within your body, how beautiful. Love to you Sister xx
Thank you for this comment. ❤
thank you for this ❤
Love the quietness of this video
this was quite literally one of the best stretching videos i have done. simple yet effective and i love all of the silence and calmness in voice. yes!
Agreed 100%
Me too!🎉❤
Agreed!
Thankyouuuuu so much for not talking the whole time! Or over explaining to us like we're slow, or rushing through like so many other instructors! The calm voice and pauses in between help so much! This was a deeply emotional yoga session for me, your dog was everything !
I’ve tried many trauma informed yoga videos they were too long or the instructor was talking too much and giving me anxiety, your video is very calming and 20 min felt like 3 minutes thank you so much
❤❤❤
Yes I love that you don't talk really. You are a calm presence..we need that space to heal. and you facilitate that. xo
I started crying really hard when we did the double sided hip stretch … and I can’t stop now … there’s so much coming up right now … I feel a bit overwhelmed
Thank you for sharing, it's totally normal to experience a flood of emotions and physical sensations during practices like this. Sending lots of love.
I hope you were able to move through the big feelings - I had a similar experience when I did yin for the first time. Nothing wrong with pausing the video and coming back to it when you’re feeling differently ❤ I hope this helps
Just love it. Thank you for your yoga 🧘🏾♀️ practice. God bless you ❤
This is a good thing. Sounds like you had a lot to release. I bet you felt better after you released all of that
❤❤❤ release is so good, even if it doesn't feel that way.... Releasing things that do not serve is ultimately very healing. I hope you're feeling better and taking very good care of you.❤
I love that more people are inviting their beloved furry companions to join them in their yoga practice. My cat loves to weave around me as I flow through my poses. Thank you so much for this wonderful practice Caitlin! Xox
My husky just jumps on me or bites my hair when I do it around him 😭😂 so I can’t
You're welcome
I know it hasn’t been long, but I’ve been doing this for the last 3 mornings to start my day. It’s been really great and feels so good!!!
That is long! It’s a great accomplishment, well done👏🏽
I absolutely love this video. I’ve been doing this somatic yoga for 6 days sometimes multiple times a day. I started because of the trauma I wanted to release and then I hurt my back and this yoga literally took all the pain away every time I would do it so that’s why I did it multiple times a day. Well this evening my back and hip was hurting so bad I started the yoga and I finally got the emotional release I’ve been waiting for. I cried uncontrollably for a time paused the video so I won’t miss any of the positions and just felt the pain and trauma leaving my body. Even the spot in my hip seemed to immediately lose the pain I’ve had all day. I will continue to follow your TH-cam channel and look forward to more emotional releases. I’m working on healing so I can be a better me. Thank you for posting your video.
Thank you for sharing ❤️ I'm so happy to hear this practice offered relief.
❤@@caitlinkeliyoga
do you need to be a 'better you'? can't you just accept you?
You can accept yourself while still knowing you have things to work on. This person could be a violent alcoholic for all we know. There's nothing wrong with wanting to become better
I am a female veteran of 20yrs and never learned to trust my emotions or my own internal feelings about what those 20 years brought me. Your yoga sessions have brought me calmness and an inner insight that I wasn't aware of. Thank you for taking the time to make these videos.
Thank you for your service and for sharing your story. I'm so glad these practices are helpful! ❤️
Thank you Thank you Thank you. I cant say that enough. I found myself pausing a lot to stay in the poses longer because my body said so. The outer hip stretches!!!!! I've never felt that before. I know what my trauma is and for the first time I felt some release from my hips which is where I store all of my trauma. I will be doing this often(maybe everyday) after my somatic workout. I'm determined to get my body out of freeze mode and get back to myself. Thanks again.
I absolutely love this routine. It's funny how some of the poses are a bit uncomfortable, but it's a "good hurt"... seriously feels like something my body has needed for a long time. Thanks so much!
I finally was able to let out some deep sighs and only sobbed a little bit. It doesn't sound like much, but it's a lot more progress than my other attempts to release the trauma/tension in my hips. I'm definitely going to try again, thank you so much!
I love your dog sooo much! She keeps calmly checking in - I feel seen. She clearly brings you so much joy as well. Thank you for the peaceful video - you do just the right amount of talking, your voice is so calming and the quiet while holding poses is so refreshing.
I read a comment that someone cried. As I am doing a few of the exercises I could feel a lot of anxiety and uncertainty but no tears. Until I did happy baby and I rocked myself and burst into laughter. Then I felt immediate sadness and uncertainty and started crying. These exercises truly help thank you.
I have heard of people crying while doing hip openers but in my years of yoga ( 20ish years off and on) I have never cried. That changed today. I did this class and the sequence with frog pose just did something.
This was so healing and therapeutic. Did more for me in 20 minutes than any session with a physical therapist for my back issues/injuries, and stiff hips. I'm so glad I found you. Thank you.
20 minutes felt like 2 minutes. My whole lower body was shivering for the first time. Thank you that felt amazing
Sounds erotic
What that means shivering ? Does that mean releasing of trauma ? Cause I felt that too on right hip
I think so because it was different from the pain you experience from an external pressure on the hips.
I did a Chakra clearing meditation once and my whole body was buzzing ❤
The dog just did a stretch long stretch before resting on the mat ❤
I’ve always heard of stretches making you cry and releasing something for you but this is the first time I ever actually cried. I had a memory and thought resurface that I truly forgotten and crying that out was amazing thank you!
This was a beautiful way to start my New Year❤ I just went through a a very difficult couple of years and stopped taking care of my body in the way I know I deserve. Doing this today reminded me how much my body loves yoga and needs it. Thank you, Namaste
'taking care of my body in the way I know I deserve' ...what a wonderful way to put it❤
I feel ya. Good for you 💕
I feel like I just lost 10 pounds of pain! Absolutely loved this and it wasn’t aggressive in any way.
Honestly feels like I’ve lost weight too because of this, not just emotionally
I’m a total yoga beginner, I loved this, I shook so much throughout. I have PTSD so hoping that starting a yoga journey will help, this was my first day and first video. I loved it. Thank you x
I am healing from a long illness and trapped trauma too.I started today. May we both find peace and release. ❤️🩹 I think I need to do this everyday.
@@evamarie558 good luck on your journey x
I finished pelvic radiation therapy at the end of 2023. I have developed a painful stiffness in my hips from the radiation (confirmed by my medical team). My oncologist offered drugs, I told them that would be my last resort. I have never done yoga, but I was able to follow your video all the way through, making adjustments when the stretches were too painful. By the end of the video, I began to feel a bit better. I look forward to making your video part of my healing journey. Thank you so much ❤
Sending blessings for your healing!
I’m m so happy you found this! You are healing!
Doing this Hip Opening Trauma informed Yoga, is the best thing I ever could have done for myself. I feel so Good, I feel so enlightening and intune with myself, I feel Joy, and peace. Right now is the beginning of a brand new life for me. I was also able to understand my past traumas as well as heal my past traumas. I believe God brought me to this Channel for a reason because this is something I don't do. I pray that all who has done this may experience the same.❤
And that’s how I found the perfect start to my day. What a calming set of poses. I loved your dog joining :) I imagine what a world might be like if we all connected to our bodies like this every morning
My own dog kept checking on me as I followed along with these poses. These stretches felt amazing, thank you.
The dog though 🥰🥰🥰 What a wonderful addition to the process 🩷
I too, loooved the doggo ❤
I love how your dog brings healing energy to this practice as well. It was such a beautiful flow! Thank you and Namaste! ❤
WOW! This is quite literally the best I have felt in years
I followed this video and even though I’ve heard of ppl relieving emotions through this and crying, I wasn’t sure if that would be my experience. I finished the video and felt very relaxed and a lot of the stiffness in my body went away with the stretching but I didn’t cry or get emotional. Or so I thought. I was scrolling on TikTok after, when a video popped up of someone singing Ave Maria and I just busted out in tears as I was listening to it. I started reflecting on how I need to be more kind with myself, in the sense that I’m very hard on myself, emotionally and mentally. Bottom line is, it felt good to let it out.
I started tearing up the moment you said “discomfort” in the very beginning. It made me think of group therapy and how we acknowledge suffering and how much that helps me. Thank you for this.❤
I want to thank you for posting this yoga session.
My hips and lower back have been messed up for weeks and I find this so freeing and helpful.
I have ADHD along with menopause 🤪 so sometimes 5 minutes can seem like forever but I always make it through the 20 minutes easily and rarely look at the time.
I’ve been doing this session daily which also helps my procrastination because it’s just my go to without having to scroll through many different choices.
Thank you again.
I didn’t think I had any emotions stored in my hips. Felt really good going through all the stretches. And then when I took my first deep breath in savasana, I started crying. Did not expect that at all. But felt so good to release those emotions. Thank you! I’ll be coming back for more!
I felt a wave of calmness coming over me. This was so long ago I felt it, being in an overstressed state for a very long time
I love your dog so much, I have been doing this every single morning for a week now and he still makes me smile, thank you for sharing sister of light. Namaste from the divine in me to the divine in you.🌐🫂🪷
That was amazing! So calming and felt so good. The time literally flew.
I’m so thankful I found you. I’m a hairdresser of 8 years and even though I am still in my 20s, my body is FEELING the work I put it through. This video has seriously helped me loosen up my body and not feel so tight. I will be revisiting your channel often! 💜
I’ve been doing hair 17 years and I’m 35 and my body is FUCKED. 😩😩
I have autism and much trauma. I recently relapsed into self-harm and leaning onto my left leg for pigeon pose reduced me to tears after being unable to cry for weeks. Thank you for your practice.

Your voice, and the audio quality, is professional and calming to listen to. Congratulations and thank you for this yoga session.
So great, I could feel the blood flowing again. Magic
Thank you for this! My body feels great after this. ❤
Absolutely one of the best guided yoga sessions I have ever done I thought 20 minutes would be to long but you made it feel like 5! The dog and the view really helped.❤
I feel so relaxed and open, thank you this is exactly what I was looking for and needing to start my morning!
Thank you for such a calming, effective video. I cried my eyes out-very cathartic. Your dog is the sweetest little thing. ❤
Thank you so much for this. And thank you to your dog too for joining us!
I keep coming back to this video! Your voice is so calming and the poses feel like a warm hug. ❤
Thank you. This was great. I’m glad someone else’s dog always comes to check on them when they lay on the floor too. Adorable ❤ love and light
These videos you out it takes off stress and help my ASD under control ❤🙏
The wind wipers at the end were exactly what I needed… you knew what I needed before I did! I feel incredible now, thank you so much for this Caitlin you are a gift 💝
This is one of the best yoga videos I’ve seen/ done thus far ❤ thank you 🙏🏾
One of the best sessions I’ve found. I’ve been working on hip/back release for the past three weeks. Thank you!
Thank you so much for sharing this class on YT. The release was unexpectedly powerful and it was such a gift after a long week. Truly grateful to have found your channel!
The very best stretching videos very calm and I love the trees and quietness 🙏🏼❤❤ thank you
Love this! The trees are so relaxing and it’s nice to see yogi Mocha ❤ my hips and lower back feel great now 😘
Thank you. Great instruction and voice. This is my first time I enjoyed yoga, this is my second time doing this video.
This is the best yoga practice that has ever existed. Thank you❤
I really enjoyed this as a first time yoga person here! I’m so impressed. Thank you for posting! ❤️
Thank you, I feel much more centered and at peace. Much love and light to you.
That was the best hip yoga emotional release session i have ever done. I love the stretches and how you didnt rush through them. I also love how you have such a sweet bond with your dog. Thank you for your video.
This was such an amazing stretch/emotional release. I really needed this and soooo glad I found this video!
This is literally the best decision I made for myself. Thank you so much for sharing your gift with us. Namaste.
This was an excellent short routine to start my day. I was finishing a short yoga back routine from another channel, so your video played automatically, and I just went on with it while still on the floor.
I am just realizing it was intended for trauma and emotional release. What a gem! I'm subscribing.
Thank you so much. This is prob the best stretching video I have ever done and I’ve done so many. I hold quite a bit of tension in my hips and I felt much better after doing this. I love your energy, voice, and while I love music, I actually appreciated the quietness between poses. Also, I love the sweet way you interact with your dog. Such beautiful vibes. 💫
Again, thank you so much.
It was nice to see your dog part of the session. Oftentimes I see the dogs are asked to leave or are moved out in TH-cam yoga videos. So nice to integrate canine companions into what we do.
Thank you so much! The exercises were perfect. If I keep doing these my hips will really thank me.
I love this video ❤ I've done it over and over the past couple of months. Thank you 😊
Thank you for making this video 😇. For me this is a perfect non-stressful morning routine I can def get into & become my regular !! It's calm, quiet , comfortable & still very much efficient !! I'm really glad I found you. I liked and subscribed to your channel 😊. I will also share it with people I believe will benefit from it💯! I love how you created a morning body stretch/trauma release routine w/o basing it "ALL ABOUT the Trauma" we need these things to move forward yes , however sometimes when the word "trauma" is thrown out there so much or when a video is all or only about the trauma, it at times can cause a nervous reaction or anxious reaction (@ least for me it can) . I just wanted you to know how comfortable and un-anxious your own calmness provided for me during your video :) so again, I sincerely thank you 🥰
Just wanted to thank you for this great video, gentle and simple yet effective. I've done this workout several times now and I absolutely love it!
Thank you so much for giving an option to do a new asana or to stay in a current one. This gives so much comfort
Perfect! Love your dog, location and vibe. Felt great after ❤
This is the best stretching video that I have ever done! Thank you so much ❤❤❤❤
I definitely felt an emotional release from this and I love the precious sweet doggy! 🥺
I felt AMAZING after. You have a very calming vibe. This was very easy to follow for a beginner like myself. Thank you for your content 😊
Can’t wait to do this class. Adding it to my weekly routine 🙏💕
Absolutely love your workouts, with hip problems you are God sent. It gives me a challenge and that's what I need.
Excellent video, slow speed, your voice and instruction is perfect. Thank you so much for this video. I will repeat it for sure and look at your others ❤
Cried during the happy baby pose, after this 20 min stretching session my body feels so relaxed and my mind is less foggy. Thank you 🙏🏻
I feel so good after doing this. My whole body is thankful.
I cried so much with this I been holding so much in my hips thank you it’s been such a journey with healing myself and your video helped me so much thank you again I appreciate you
thank you so much for sharing your teaching. I enjoyed your trauma-informed yoga classses very much, calming voice, simple instructions, i like how you give enough time for audience to go through each pose and movement, that's what makes this practice effective!
Thank you, I needed this so much, will continue doing it daily 💞
This, wow this did something to me. I feel so relaxed and less tensed, thank you from the bottom of my heart
This stretch felt amazing.
Thank you for this 20 minute video. I opted to try it at the end of my day. The time flew by and I admit I'm feeling less tensed in my hips. ✌🏾
Thank you for a quiet calm class...so peaceful..
Found your workout today and got much needed relief in my lower back caused by tight hip flexor! I'll be doing this one often! Thank you!
It made me feel so relaxed and had a great sleep after it. Thanks 🙏❤️❤️
Love this. Been out of practice for many years and trying to get back into it. I'm bigger and had no problems going along with this video. Feeling great!
Thank you so much soul sistar. The more I evolve the trauma that was stored in my innate and I have released energetically now has manifested into my physical body for release. I haven't cried yet but already feeling the benefits. It felt like a somatic yoga, was very refreshing, thank you. Namaste 🫂💖🪷
Best stretch I’ve had in years
Amazing! I tried this for stress induced chronic pain and I feel soothed
Gratitude for sharing this. The participation of your adorable dog made it more even wonderful. ❤
I was not ready for my tears at the end of this routine. I can’t even begin to piece this together. Thank you for sharing this routine.
