No, no, what you MEANT to say was: "THANK YOU, Kate, for uploading advanced, studio-quality yoga and stretching practice to TH-cam every day, where I get to benefit from it FOR FREE!"
Thank you so much for this. I am not a spring chicken anymore..these modify stretches have helped tremendously. Please upload more for us older folks. Thank you 😊
@@KateAmberYogaPeople can ask for it without getting upset hey. 😊 Can't always do easier just so people who have not started yet feel comforted. IF THEY REALLY WANT TO LEARN, THEY WILL ASK FOR ALTERNATIVES.
I'm not certain what caused that feeling by some. Your cues, tips, and demos are very clear and concise, not to mention you cover all areas. Thank you Amber 🙏💪👍❤️💯😎
What a mature, intelligent response. I am a mom of a woman about your age. I would hope she would respond that well to criticism. Thank you for sharing the foot exercises.
Read advice excellent! I spend so much time in Fitness, but I’ve neglected my toes and my feet and as I have aged, I am dealing with a numbing neuropathy that I hope these exercises will remedy.
You are so right I know this sounds silly but when I got into my 50s, I started filling the need to stretch my feet and when I do they crack and pop that never happened when I was younger great video and you are so beautiful❤
I appreciate your modifying your illustrations for the older onesnofnus who need it. One I find really helps me is standing on a stair, with my foot at a comfortable halfway point, around the arch for me, then holding the bannisters lowering my heels. I do this for a slow walk up the stairs or gently 'bounce' both feet alternately on one stair. Stretches calves too. Helped with plantar fasciitis.
I loved them. My calves & arches have gone through periods where they cramp at night. My body’s just so furious that it’s ready like the Jaguar as I sleep 🤪🤪🤪
You are amazing, kind, compassionate!❤ I pray the feedback was the same! I appreciate your talent, dedication & hard work to your art, & ability to teach, educate ,& comunícate in such beauty!
Hi Kate! This video got me thinking...Are there stretches that we should do every day? If so-I'd love to see a video of you talking about those specific stretches so I can add them into my routine! :) I do my best to follow a different video of yours every day-but if there's a routine to get into alongside those different videos, I'd love to know! :D
If everyone would be training Yoga every day, need for surgery in the old age would be greatly diminished. These stretches do hurt but pain goes away after a week. Keep going!
When the people that are crying and complaining start depositing money into your account then they can complain about the content they pay you to make. Until then you do you!!
Love the foot stretch posts, I’ve been focusing on doing them more regularly and wearing toe spreaders as often as I can remember. Also wearing vivos much more often
Falls are the primary cause of fatal and nonfatal injuries in adults aged 65 and older. Nearly 40,000 older adults died from falls last year, and it is projected that this number will increase to 7 fatal falls PER HOUR by 2030. One of the most crucial steps in preventing falls is to have a consistent balance, strength, and flexibility program. Yoga is an excellent way to help older adults build strength, flexibility, and mobility. Thank you for responding with this excellent new video to address concerns from those who felt that the original video showed foot stretches that were too challenging for those who most need it.
I don’t know how people get upset at everything easily. These stretches aren’t bad as it seems. This is similar to my warm ups and cool downs. I done a cool down that was more intense than that where my knees are on the ground, and I reach back on my feet and arch my back up. I mean that was hard at first but it feels great and Im very flexible now since I am more fit than ever 😊
Good stuff. I seem to have explored some of those moves out of necessity. Any moves for a stiff neck? At 68, I seem to have a stiff neck. Riding my motorcycle is risky not being able to flex the head around looking to make a turn.
Yes definitely the strength and flexibility of the extremeties need to get the same attention as core stability. Grip strength has been linked to longevity. And in older runners the strength of the calves is linked to less chance of foot issues.
Really thank you Kate I have flat feet one artist collapsed so this is very useful to me hey remind me how important is the stretcher feeder you know I knew that and it's easier when you come up with a specific examples thank you The Sundance Kid
WOW !!! GOD is so unbelievably good and cool ! I wear boots and/or shoes ALL day and don't take them off when i'm home ! { Always making certain the soles are super clean bcuz i'm like an O. C. D. clean person .}.... so my feet and ankles get to killing me !!! Again..... So God brought me to YOU ! Awesome ! { GOD} .Thank You God and thank YOU also for instructing on foot health. You are Awesome too !!!! ❤
Any static stretching is horrible for the human body and increases bone spurs. Only do active stretching folks using the muscles to gain as much range of motion you can. No static !!
Your flexibility and mobility are amazing. But i always get at a point where i ask myself :"is this fully human? A tentacle should be able to do that. Is there kraken dna somewhere in there?"
I do toe stretch in yoga. It feels so good. It can be intense though. When you finish toe stretching while kneeling, get on all fours and tap the top of your feet on the ground a few times to get the blood flowing again.
I'm 51. Which one of these is good for the Achilles tendon? Sometimes I feel a little something there in my left foot when doing the squat pose recently.
hello kate❤ i have a question. i cannot sit comfortably on a chair without folding my knees and sitting on them, or my foot. as i spend my days working or sitting like that often, would it shorten my hamstrings and make them harder to stretch? thank you😢❤
It could, depending on your anatomy, but I wouldn’t worry too much, especially if you do try to incorporate stretching into your life in general😊 it can be helpful to just be mindful and adjust your posture every so often, switch legs, stand up, keep little movements in your day and do your best to stay mobile 😊
I know EXACTLY what you mean because I do this too. I can't sit "regular" in a chair. I echo Lau below said. Adjust often. If you can, invest in a stand up desk, it will pay you back in years and health. I got my for $250 online. Another trick is to get a pilates ball and do little pulses with it between your knees to keep circulation and add variety to your sitting. Finally, if you work from home. Try to get up and stretch at least every 2 hours. Even for just a few mins. Hit a low lunge and a puppy pose for 1-2 mins each and your body will thank you!

Saying people were upset increases engagement because she'll get a lot of comments saying "oh no your last video was great don't listen to them". She probably had one or two people asking for easier exercises.
How can someone be upset by your advices? You are amazing❤

5-10 slow breaths. Revisit often, multiple times a day is fine.
