I agree - that’s how I started when a couple years ago. Didn’t think I could focus and sit still very long but now I can do hour plus yin yoga videos and enjoy every minute of the healing relaxing stretching.
That feels intuitively like authentic Yoga as devised by sacred yogi as opposed to yoga for fitness that I love too… but this is something that reaches deeper and that I feel we need more than ever nowadays. Thank you amazing Teacher Kate for bringing this to us🙏

I just discovered you on TikTok this morning while feeling so tight in my hip flexors and glutes. I decided to do this Yin Yoga practice to help with that, and I feel so much better and more relaxed. This was a wonderful practice! 💕
It is always a pleasure following your exercises. Your rhythm of breath fits perfect my own. Sometimes, I’m not that flexible but it doesn’t matter. Love your voice. All in all I found my teacher.

Greatful for your lessons. I started 6 weeks ago and found you a week ago. I have been mind prepping myself to recover my body before it is too late! My weight is good my flexabilty is improving and some of my pains are lessoned. The main two are right hip and low back. Right pitformis muscle is very much in lock mode but i know it is getting loser. Ken

I was able to be so present in the moment during this class I felt the pain was a sensation and could really feel into my body and the moment. I have done Yoga before but this is the first time I have truly got the intention. I'm not sure any of that made sense haha
It 100% makes sense! I know exactly what you mean. There's something magical about yin yoga and slowing down. The nervous system can just - finally - relax. I'm so glad it resonated with you. It's my favorite style of yoga :)

Forearms don't need to be down! That's just how I do after practicing for a few years. Try it with your arms extended over head on finger tips. Work where you are. :) Forearms down is just a depth thing but matters very little. Any variation yields benefits.

Used a block to deepen into lizard and leaned my weight on my crisscrossed arms in pigeon to intensify the stretch, so good.
