Nice run!!! I'm currently building the carbon roller version. This will be my first time messing with a speed car. I did put the adjustable mount in it right away. So far I have a 3665 3200kv Hobbywing Max10 combo in it, the gold 52 spur and 40t and 45t. Should be fun. I used to race a TC3 over 20 years ago so this is all new ground for me. I'm sure you'll hit that 80.
Hey Serge, first thank you for the Sub! I appreciate you! With that set up you should be pretty fast! Especially with the 45t. I have gotten to 81 mph so far… had to change roads. @@Rcprescription going to try and mix the rear wing with the throttle. Kind of like a DRS system. New ground for me since I came mostly from a racing background.
@slib77 if you want it to go down when you pull the throttle I think you have to turn the servo arm 180 to the other side. That would be cool to see work…. If it works let me know… I might try that too…🤜🤛

Its getting faster mike great runs. The motor mount in that car should be adjustable. That is the downfall with a lot of cars wl toys does the same thing with their motor mounts. An adjustable motor mount should be standard. I think they do that because the car has gear diffs, and no adjustment likaba ball diff has, and that is their way to keep you from blowing the diffs apart

I haven't had any motor problems at all.
I haven’t had any problems with the motors either, just the motor mount that comes with it! I have changed motors only because it now has mod 1 gearing. Thanks for watching!🤜🤛

Sorry I had to back and watch the video…😂 so yea it was all stock, no gear changes at that point. Stock tires. It has gone through some changes since and I’m changing the wing soon, mod 1 gears now, and I have the better motor mount that adjusts from the top like Arrma mounts!🤜🤛
1. I will try to do the gear upgrade like I saw you do it here. mine is carbon fiber. I, too, struggled with the mount in place to try to loosen the screws and adjust the motor within the mount without changing the mount. That was a disaster and I am hoping I didn't strip the screws. They appear to be star screws and not hex.
2. As you know, the carbon fiber comes with the 120 amp ESC but it would not run the only 4S battery I have tried on it. It beeped five times and then three more times before shutting down each time. Waiting for a response from customer service.
Awesome… the adjustable mount is for sure the way to go. I believe mine were all hex screws but they do strip easily. And yea I would get with Rlaarlo for sure… mine ran 4s no problem.
@@Rcprescription honestly, sorry to be a bother but I looked all through the parts available for my 787 and I am not seeing any kind of black motor mount like I saw in your video. Where do I get that? I see, now, that I need to remove the whole mount from underneath, so I can have a better shot at extracting both screws going from motor mount into the motor and do this right with the better mount.
@robertgoldsmith5949 so the black one was a mount I had from the AK-917. They are the same just a different color… as you see in the video I had a red piece on the motor from another mount. Try looking in the list for the 917 if you want black. And it’s no bother brother! We all support each other in this hobby!🤜🤛
Hey Robert… when you click on the motor mount on their website it gives you the option to choose a color… even for the 787…. Orange, red or black. Hope that helps.
Also were you using stock tires? I bet foam ones would get you 80mph with that same setup..
Definitely use foams… I am using contact foams on it now
Stock esc and motor don't get hot on 4s? I have been going back and forth deciding on which color,car and options..this one looks very cool.
They both held up very well on 4s… the motor is only rated for 3s but I had no issues with it on 4s. I love this color too… but I really like the white one too! Definitely a good car! I have the 917 as well!🤜🤛

I need help with the AK 787 the Spurs and the bag that comes in the box where do I put it do I need both of them all three of them or just one of them
So it just depends on how fast you want to go. The smallest one I believe is 52 tooth, I don’t know if you’ll be able to use that one with the stock pinion gear… mine is currently using the small gear that is in the bag…. And a 45 tooth pinion. Is your car the carbon fiber model?
I also have some videos of the gear changes on the Ak 917….which is the exact same as the 787…. Hope that helped.
Will this motor handle a 4S ?
The motor is only rated for 3s…. I have been running mine on 4s so far with no problems but it is only rated for 3s…. ESC is rated for 4s
1. How are the 2 motor rotations synchronized? I have been told the motor to ESC wires (A & C) should be switched for one of the motors. I am concerned doing this will destroy the motor &/or ESC. Is this procedure correct OR is there another way to get both motors rotating in the correct direction?
2. Does one red wire need to be removed from one of the ESC connectors before connection to the splitter & then the receiver?
3. Where do the red & black wires with white connector go? I am using the F3670-2830 RLAARLO motors. There is not a location for this connector on this motor. NOTE: I have modified the servo mount to accommodate the longer motor.
Hey Joseph, thank you for watching. My 787 is a single motor car, I have the mamba monster X 6s in it currently. I am building a 917 that will have dual motors and the mamba monster x ESC’s. I’m sorry that I don’t have the answers for you but I can ask around and see if I can get the answers for you. If you watch @vwturbowolf he is running a stick dual motor car and has got some awesome speeds out of it.
