- Took the Ak-787 out with a new gear change. Not sure why it is going airborn at this point, the only change was the gear and it’s going airborn even at the slower speeds! Not sure guys! That TT-02 drive shaft still there 🙂 81mph getting better, but downforce is an issue. Did I notice no splitter at the front just a foam bumper, would a home made splitter help. Lucky not too much damage, a shame the body getting scratched up a bit.
Hey Malcolm!… lucky find, the drive shaft.😂 yea the downforce may be an issue…. It’s just the foam bumper, you’re probably right, I did have to make one for the 917 when it got fast! I was hoping to keep it pretty a little longer!😂🤜🤛

Maybe less down force on rear wing will help with flip over or stiffen rear shocks so rear can't squat as much. The more it pushes down on rear the more it lifts front. Good luck out there.
Thanks John!… yea I was thinking about stiffening those rear shocks…. Seems to have a lot more rear down force than the 917 did

Right…. It wasn’t flipping before I changed the gears…. It may be the road!… I don’t know… maybe try another spot and see…. Use some tape this time!🤜🤛

To be 100% honest, I'm seriously starting to believe that the 'driver' isn't the problem...the problem must be the 'location'.
Yea… I keep going back there because it’s a bit less stressful…. No thru traffic…. But the road is not the greatest!🤜🤛
@@Rcprescription Why not just find a better location? No one expects you to find the "perfect" location...but, I'm fairly confident you should be able to find something "better".
When I decided to first get into speeding, it was partly because, after trying to find a "really good" location (San Jose, CA, where I lived at the time, didn't have any realistic options) for a few years, I finally came upon something viable...and, partly because Richie (Driftomaniacs TH-cam channel) and I were going to work together on the first car (Traxxas 4Tec 3.0 Vette). Unfortunately, he moved halfway across the country a few months later, so that project never really took off (tho, I will be restarting it, soon, on my own).
Move forward to 11 months ago, when I moved to Las Vegas. I was lucky enough to find a perfectly straight, almost perfectly flat, length of road less than a block away that 3/4 mile. On top of that, there are several other great places, including a very lightly-traveled 4-lane highway approx 40 minutes away, which is about as straight AND flat as one can find...for at least 10 miles.
@@ninthislandrc yea… I have another spot I can run it at…. To be honest I haven’t explored to much looking for a place because like you, I work to dang much…. But I am always on the lookout…. They are currently replacing the highway very close to my house….. I’m hoping I can catch a good run on it before they put the reflectors up!😂
