And this is what his dad was trying to explain to him. Yeah gangsters might make more money than working men. But those guys are not your friends completely. In that lifestyle that can't afford to be too trustworthy. So they will turn on you at the drop of a hat if they feel like you're trying to harm them. Even if it's not true.
This is only true in movies, sure there are snakey people but in real life all gangs and mafia members have very close relationships to the point that some will die for another
@@FollowerOfChrist98 like I said that’s movie talk, obviously if you snitch ur gonna get killed ur getting a man locked up in a cage. Cap sonny did a whole 10 year bid plus he was a mafia boss there was no way they was going to let that plus this movie about the mafia in the 50’s when the mafia was at there peak
C sees Sonny's nature, but still loves him. Sonny sees how his nature has hurt C, whom he loves and does not know how to make it right. Just saw this movie recently for the first time - a great movie (understatement).
I've been around alot of people and I've seen stats. New immigrants groups that are marginalized are usually tougher. Once they assimilate and are accepted as White, they change. They lose their edge. It's a good thing for them. They become more sensitive, do better in school, get better jobs and no longer looked down at by other Whites. The tough ones right now are Blacks, Latinos and Native. Poor redneck Whites are tough for being White, but never against Black and Brown people of their same age. You disagree?
This proved that Lorenzo was completely right about Sonny. He couldn't trust anyone and he would've killed C on the spot if it hadn't clicked that the car was rigged before he loaned it to him. Sonny only kept him close because C was a cancer that could kill him to use his analogy. C was an eyewitness to a murder and Sonny was keeping him close in case he had to kill him.
it’s literally just cuz he was a witness to what sonny really did for a split second you might think it’s cuz he actually liked and trusted him but it was only to keep him close to make sure he never talked c is trippin tho he had the ultimate bargaining tool if he played his cards right he could’ve had whatever he wanted 🤷♂️

The father is the real man all along not scared to face sonny nor his goons.
Absolutely. That’s what a real father always does. Puts his well being behind the well-being of his flesh
The working man has more balls of steel than the mafia.

New immigrants are always tough, but they lose that edge after a few generations. Italian Americans are now hipsters chatting at Starbucks.
