I just realized in the scene from “the gentlemen”, the coach doesn’t punch the boys like I thought. No, he literally slaps them around. 😂😂😂 He’s so unbothered by them, it takes minimal effort to put them in their place. I love it.
He’s the coach, here to teach some lessons not punch street kids, and that’s why I love his character.

Kudos to Tom for playing 2 characters at that immaculate level.
Oh yeah, I had to keep reminding myself that there wasn't 2 actors for the brothers. He does a very convincing job playing the twins
Honestly, preferred the original Krays with the Kemp twins, but that's more to do with the film itself than the actors. Both brilliant, and love that Legend was able to expand on a lot of things (particularly how the brothers blackmailed a certain type of politician) that wouldn't have 'been allowed' back in a 90s made for TV movie would. I watched an interview earlier between an ex American mafioso and ex London mobster. One thing they talked about is there is a big difference between gangsters and "businessmen". The gangsters are loud, flashy, like to talk a lot, and love to be seen. The businessmen are quiet, respectful, live by a set of rules, and when they use violence it's done in a professional manner.
Me too. Franzece and Bobby Cummings. It was an interesting video.

Unfortunately the acting in that movie - e.g. by the Asian girl - is beyond ridiculous, it is just SO bad
The unrealistic part of the tom hardy bar fight is that anyone got up from hammer blows or a brass knuckle to the face. Not often you see bad guys with plot armor.
Last we saw of the other bad guys they was not getting up from the floor (12:35). Is it plot armor when the scriptwriters merely plot out the known history of the characters? Those lads earned the movie's title.
@@The-KP The original comment was saying that some of the guys took hammer and knuckle duster blows only to continue fighting, when they should have been one-hit KOs.
You watch too many movies bud. You get knocked out for a second or two , body is loaded with adrenaline which means pain is minimal in the moment. Watch some videos of people getting tortured, the human body is far stronger than the movies make them out to be.

Tbf, it's boring otherwise. I.e it was done well in both old boy versions.
@@Saif-zf9vb too many movies? I'm complaining about movie logic. I've been 1 hit KO'd with BOXING GLOVES on. Fun fact: the phone buying scene from The Gentlemen was not in the script and was made up on the spot. The loudest ones in the room are always the weakest ones in the room. Denzel said that & it’s the most accurate thing I’ve ever heard 🤷🏼♂️
except that's not true at all. In a lot of firms or even mob families or criminal organisations you'd be a madman to be the loudest one in the room above your boss/leader. Even in corporate organisations, the loudest one in the room is almost always the highest rank that wields the most power. Same in the military. The entire say was made to basically say if your actions are respected you should never need to be loud or go overboard but what it doesn't factor in is very few leaders are mute/ let their actions alone speak which is why they're leaders, they lead verbally and with action. Everyone isn't Vito Corleone lol Michael was sometimes the loudest in the room, same with Vito same with Sonny and most of the time they were still the strongest in the room

@@Kraken9911 A white person of European ethnic origin. Clint is American and he played an American, so what's your point?
I love the sound of that door! Real door hinges
I knew the gentlemen would make the list 😂😂😂..and the scene with Clint Eastwood call his real son names got me laughing 😅
The Gentleman was SUCH a great movie. Amazing performances from multiple actors and a fun twisty storyline. Can't beat it.
Absolutely an all time classic
Its a masterpiece! Hugh Grant's roll is brilliant 😂
I love that Clint put his own son in that scene to embarrass him for eternity
That laugh in the first scene 😂😂 " One punch, wankers" 🤣🤣🤣🤣👌👌
The Gentlemen did not come out in 2014. It came out in 2019. You almost gave me a heart attack.
A heart attack?? 😒🙌🏾🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Bro WAKE UP, you must get out of the simulation
I'm saying! Was wondering if I went crazy
Lol thanks! I was going insane trying to remember things 😂
Heart attack from that? You must have some serious health problems buddy. Might want get that checked. And spend abit more time in the real world. And a little less rotting your brain and health staring a screen?
"To busy with your pinny making fairy cakes" lmao that was gold
As my wise friend says to people when they get clever,
" Don't let the grey hair fool you" 😂 It's so true.
*the hell you spooks up too?" Lmao
You call your small time criminals over there roadmen? That's the most British thing I've ever heard. "Naughty boys" lmao.
English roadmen are much more dangerous than the wannabe’s in the us
@@ItsJustRuruindeed. Anyone who walks around in dress pants and loafers and is willing to throw down is not to be fucked with.
@@ItsJustRurublud thinks it’s a competition 💀💀
@@ItsJustRuru im gonna beg to differ, our equivalent are gangs. and they will just shoot you. only difference being roadmen just harass people bc they're fkn low lifes. gangs wont mess with you unless ur doing smth stupid. that doesn't make them any less dangerous. go look at videos of gang shootings and u tell me whether you wanna be caught up in that or chased after by some dudes in lounge pants and jackets.

Boys always want to compete - next they're going to see who can pee the highest up the wall...
"Shimmy shimmy, ya shimmy yam, shimmy yay..." ...And that tune will live rent free in my brain for no reason🙄🫠

ODB.. classic track. RIP.
Brilliant selection, what a great set of "examples" of saving face we have here! Well done.
"Everyone thinks they're a gangster until they meet a real gangster"
the clint eastwood scene is the exact reason i dont insult people i dont know.
That's the only reason you don't insult random people?
@@kaij98673 yes, because one of them might just be Clint Eastwood
So you only insult people you know? That's crazy!
@@PracticingEnglishEveryday
I mean, that's basically bromance
@@PracticingEnglishEveryday that's crazy, you never have heard the term "close friends"
This is old school greatness and needs to come back. It would solve a lot of issues.
What, gangsters?
''What the hell are you spooks up to?'' this had me rolling🤣🤣🤣
Racist shit makes you laugh. That’s a little different.
You ever noticed how you come across somebody once in a while you shouldn't have fucked with...... THATS ME!!!! ;-)
Tom Hardy was a theater kid, never forget it. None of these men are hardened
The thing you have to remember is the two gangsters Tom Hardy plays in Legend, Reggie and Ronnie Kray, were REAL.
that fact about Reggie and Ronnie Kray being real made that movie more enjoyable. There is always something more interedting about a story about real people over fiction.
Clint: "What are you spooks up to?" 🤣🤣 Nearly died laughing
Right? Racism is funny.
@@pdxcorgidadit is. It really is.
@pdxcorgidad I cant believe people think its funny to be racist. Its mot funny at all. Its hilarious
@JJDeAth96 Exactly. Racism is just the best, right? Like why wouldn't anybody be racist? I don't get it.
@pdxcorgidad exactly Bro. Crazy.
Swear to god, 'the gentlemen'is one of the best movies ive ever seen. What an absolute masterpiece that is
