Leaving this bike outside uncover deserve jail time.😪What a crime
She’s back to half decent order now 😬
A peace of art!!
You have done a great job!
Enjoy your beautiful bike
Greetings from Germany
Felix
Thanks Felix 👌👌👌😎
There has been a lot of hard work and many hours of labour spent on this bike , But by god , it looks stunning 🤩 . Congratulations to you .
Thank you for the kind words 😬👍
I stumbled on your original video where you found your rsv1000, I watched that and enjoyed it,, and then tonight I stumbled on this video, your video reminds me of a interesting story of me wanting to get back on the road after I had to sell my last bike for various practical reasons I won't bore you with, suffice to say I found a bike on tinternet that I fell in love with without knowing much about it, it happened to be a silver first generation rsv1000 mille in silver like your bike, but with red stickers, I stupidly brought it without seeing it in the flesh, got it delivered and immediately it started not starting, turned out I managed to contact the original seller and get my money back I was very lucky , I actually sent off a video to a paint shop of the bike because I thought it needed a re spray, the chap from the bike shop said it had been rattle canned, when I asked him what he meant he said some one had painted it several shades of silver , I re looked for another bike, found exactly the same bike in alot better nick in silver and after various upgrades by myself to get the bike up to date and make it easier to live with, hopefully I can slow down the spend on it, because there cheap to buy but not cheap to run, I recommended lowering the gearing with down geared chain & sprocket and get a evo airbox upgrade, a performance chip, a nice yoshi can and decent air filter..and whack decent irriduim spark plugs in instead of cheap copper plugs, it makes it go like a scolded 🐈.. all it needs now is tyre's, chain and sprocket again, oh and get a decent battery on it and trickle charger, even a Oxford solariser is great, just tops the battery up...lovely bike but goodness it likes the money pot. Bless Italian quirkiness. 😂..a couple more updates u can do is a starter solenoid to 150 amps, heavy duty battery leads will help it get going, any more info u need contact ap performance and speak to griff ,he knows everything aprilia if u don't, I didn't great dude.
really well done mate, looks brand new
Thank you 👍😎
Holy crap, the amount of work/content you've managed to fit into 3 episodes! Hats off mate, well done, bike looks mega 👍
Thank you 😎👍
This was a nice one for sure, mate u do it well, no need for perfection, especially when it had been sitting for so long.
Thanks mate 😎👍
Great job saving that bike I'm a new subscriber and I'm looking forward to watching more content a big hello from texas ALAN
Looks really good in those colours and the sticker kit looks mega 😍
My only point is maybe get the wire brush on the caliper bolts😊.😊
Thank you 😎👌
All sorted in the next video which is now live, got flammed in the comments for not doing them 😅
@@stoneautomotive cool, that's a relief
Your work is outstanding and meticulous, love how the color turned out! Hope there are more projects on the way 😊
Thanks for the kinds words 😎👍
Yep I have another project planned, all will be revealed in the next video 👌
U did an amazing job. Loved the video. Trying to build up courage to do something like this myself and your vids really help. I haven’t a clue what I’m doing so the simpler, the better. Thanks buddy.
Thank you & glad to hear the video has provided you with inspiration to have a go 😎👍
What a joy to watch this. Pure entertainment and so much better when your own passion is shared. Love it! I’ve contacted the sticker company as well to get some. Nice job and keep doing the thing you love 💪🏻
Glad to hear Robert 😎
Really impressed with the image works quality, top stuff for the money 👍
Thoroughly enjoyed that!!
Glad to hear 👌👍
Fantastic job. Very well done 👏🏻👏🏻
Thank you sir 😎👍
She's looking good
Thanks mate 😎👍
I love your bike it's so cool I want one
Thanks 😎
Great work.
Well done dude 👏
Thanks James 😎👍
Good build series mate, you need to get all them panels off and get a few coats of matt clearcoat on them ASAP tho or all your hard work will be for nothing when that paint starts chipping and the decals start peeling
Thanks mate 👍😎
Yep I’ve been warned by others regarding the clear coat 😅
Genuinely blown away at the work/skills, and bringing that beautiful bike back to life. The end result is absolutely outstanding. That was one of the best restoration videos I’ve ever seen. Now I just need to save up for a garage. 😂
Thanks mate 😎👍
Wow great job dude well done.. 😊 Pete
Thanks Pete 😎👍
She's a beauty ! 😵
Thank you 😎👍
Coming from a 21 year old 125 rider, great video bud. Keep em coming
Thanks mate & glad you enjoyed 😎
Looking great! Well done you : )
Thanks mate 😎👍
Great work, the bike looks the nuts!
But the bolts for the calipers as well as the pinch bolts for the spindle deserve some tarting up, methinks. 😉
Also, I find it easier when cleaning brake pins to put the pin itself in the chuck of the drill and spin it whilst holding some steel wool around it.
Thanks 😎👍
Great tip with the brake pin, shall keep that in mind for next time 👌👌👌
Fantastic job!
Thank you 👍😎
Dud you consider using some matt lacquer topcoat to seal and protect the paint? Really mice job, well done👍
Thanks Paul 👍😎
Yep a few have suggested clear coating it to better protect the paint 👍
Great job
Thank you 👍
awesome mate , looks amazing ,
Thanks Andy 😎👍
Stunning work mate, hats off to you well done and makes me want to buy another one ;)
Thank you, I certainly had great fun completing the transformation 😬
@@stoneautomotive and what a result it was! The final result is exactly the paint and decal set up I had on my Aprilia ;)
Really enjoyed this rescue series, one thing I'd have liked to have seen were the brake caliper bolts and the ones at the base of the forks replaced as the rusty ones detract from the fantastic work that you've put into the rest of the bike
Glad to hear you enjoyed the series 👍😬
The problem is where do you draw the line, I didn’t want a year long project on the bench but understand your points 👍
I never realised just how much you can do with acf50.
Awesome restoration, you had me hooked after 5 minutes. Good on ya!
It is motorcycle miracle juice 😅
Thanks and glad to hear 😎👍
Magnificent!! It came up an absolute treat!
Thank you 😬👍
Bike is looking absolutely amazing, really done yourself proud.
Thanks Mark 👍😎
Brilliant.
Thank you 😎👍
SHOULD HAVE PUT ALLEN KEY STAINLESS STEEL BOLTS THROUGH OUT AND ON THE BRAKE CALLIPER WOULD LOOK BETTER THAN THE OLD BOLTS
Rsv’s have always been a beautiful bike and this is no exception.
Thank you Peter 😎👍
Magic how you brought this bad boy back to life fab job enjoy 😀
Cheers thanks 😬
Fantastic job !! Love these models- worked for aprilia from 1995 to 2009- working with Griff from AP workshops..top bloke..great tip to use ACF 50 on the plastics 👍.. they really need the throttle bodies to be balanced to ensure smooth pick up & acceleration, otherwise one of the most reliable italian bikes ever produced.
Great video mate well done on an amazing transformation. Keep it up 👍🏼
Thank you! Will do!
Tuono tail piece is a nice upgrade on that model, makes the backend look less bulky... Awsome bike is the mille
I actually like the big bulky tail 😅
New to the channel, and i am hooked 😎
Welcome, plenty of bike content to get through 😬
Glad you pulled the calipers apart✅ should have popped out the pistons
If I could have got a seal kit in time it would have certainly been done but as they all moved freely I wasn’t concerned, she also flew through the brake roller test at MOT 😎
what a transformation, loved this restoration project
Thanks James & glad to hear 😎👍
What a stunning build, something so satisfying about seeing such a good bike resurrected! I hope the first proper ride proves to be just as sweet.
Thank you 😎👍
Hopefully if the weather holds out the next video will be a ride out 👌
Well done! I shows that with patience and skills you don’t need a super professional workshop to take on a real world restoration project. Keep up the good work…
Thanks for the kind words mate 👍
Brilliant job 👏 bike turned out beautiful well done keep up the great projects 👍
Thanks Craig 😎👍
Waited 2 weeks for this video so worth it 🤌🙌 loving the rsv series keep it up.
Very glad to hear 😬👍
I think this episode was my favourite so far!
Amazing job mate. You should be really proud of your work!
Thanks Andrew 😎👍
when you have bolts stuck you can use a tool for centering holes and punch the bolt from the side so you can turn the bolt loose
Good tip 👍
Oh my god ! She looks so beautiful ! 😍 Amazing job ! 👏👏👏👏Hello from France ! 👋 Ride safe 😉✌️
Thank you 👍😎
Following with interest! I think this is so appealing because you're relatable: doing in your shed, fixing things that can be fixed instead of simply firing the parts cannon at it. I can certainty relate, and resisting finding my own project RSV lol! Good stuff and looking forward to the next vid
Thanks mate 👍😎
I hoped the video would inspire others to have a go at home 😬
You've done a great job there.
Thank you 😎👍
That's some awesome transformation totally agree on new colours too looking forward seeing the test ride you have inspired me to do some work on mine including re painting my tail end
Thanks Robert & glad to hear you’ve been inspired to get stuck in on yours 😎👍
Hey fantastic series on your resto project. Your RSV is stunning now. Brilliant mate. Now go ride that beauty and enjoy
Thanks Andrew 😎👍
Next video we shall hopefully be out on the road 👌
@@stoneautomotive Make sure you give it the buissiness👍
Well done on refurb bike looks so good now. 👍
Thanks Stephen 👍😎
Brilliant. You've done an awesome job. Really enjoyed watching the project can't wait for the next video.
Thanks Steven 😎👍
One final video to go on this series and then it will be onto the next project 😬
Griff mentioned the bearings because its a major issue.
The bearings are HK1812V. You will need 6 of them.
You will also need 6 rubber seals. 18x12x3mm thick. I buy mine online from Simply bearings.
yes definitely should be attended to
Fantastic video, thank you. The bike looks absolutely stunning- great work
Thank you 😎👍
Great work. 👌 You're right, removing the panels to carry out any work is so easy.
Thanks 😎👌
Must say the Ducati 748 is the same, very easy to get it stripped down.. maybe the Italian’s knew it would be apart a few times 😅
Great result, brilliant sounding machine!
Thanks Bobby 😎👍
Great Video!!!! :)
Thanks 😎👍
Amazing bike looks amazing .
Amazing workmanship. Well done . On to the next one .
Thanks Ryan 👍😎
Loved it, I had an rs125 in these colours way back when I was 17. I need to get an RSV at some point. Awesome job!
Glad to hear 👍😎
It was the RS125 colours that convinced me too 😬
What a great job you've done! What a beautiful bike! Hats down, it was such a pleasure for watching
Thanks & glad you enjoyed the series 😎👍
Brilliant 😊🏍️
You did good work there dude. She looks good 😍
Thank you 😎👍
Looks fantastic
Just subscribed to watch this bike. What a transformation. 👏 brilliant content.
Welcome & thank you 😎👍
Hats off to you, for a job well done (please put new brake caliper bolts on ). I actually didn’t realise that acf50 was good on plastics. I’ve had a few of these over the years and enjoyed working on them. It’ll make a fantastic track bike, as that’s where it belongs.
Thanks Jack 😎👍
Shall do the caliper bolts for the next video/ cost break down as many of you have requested 😅
Bike looks absolutely amazing, even more so turning it around in four weeks. I had a silver one which I loved, but I do like the matt black finish. Its a wonderful bike.
Thanks John 😎
The best upgrade I’ve done on mine is the battery leads night and day difference when starting
Griff from AP workshops recommended this upgrade too 👍
With it looking that good, if I had the money, I'd make you a offer. Great little series.
Thanks mate 👍
The RSV will be on eBay later this week on a 99p starting auction with no reserve so might well be within your budget 😬
Great restoration love RSV Millis had a red one with Maxton suspension great bike.
Thanks Kevin 😎👍
Well done fella..brilliant work 👏
Thanks Glenn 😎👍
Nice one, a great transformation.👍
Thank you! Cheers!
Awesome build... Well done 👊👊
Thank you 😎👍
Awesome Work Mate ✌🏼
Thank you! Cheers!
Top job, mate!
Cheers thank you 👍😬
well done, you have done a great job, the bike look so nice now
Thank you Lee
Fair play what a transformation!! Top work mate. I want a mille even more now
Thanks mate 😬
The RSV will be on eBay later this week on a 99p starting auction with no reserve 👍
@stoneautomotive deffo give it a watch mate, im after an R but I'll keep my eye on this on ebay 👍🏼
A lot of old fuel filler caps can be stripped and re keyed DIY quite easily just a thought
The thoughts a little late now after the drill bit made contact 😅
Looks epic! Well done!
Same key as the aprilia sr50
Thanks mate 👍
amazing video!!😎💪🏻 good job!
Thank you 🙌
Epic
Great channel, really enjoyed your videos 👍🏻
Thanks mate & glad to hear 😬👍
I really enjoyed the series, its always difficult to know how far to go with a project and i think you hit your brief of keeping time and costs under control thus not going for a full restoration. ACF does work really well on plastics. Well done
Glad to hear 👍
Exactly that, some of the comments you would think this was a forever build I was setting out to restore.. I’m happy with the finished piece and great to see the old girl looking like a great motorcycle again 😎
I miss mine terribly... and it's clear to me now that I shouldn't have sold her...looks like I am going to be searching MCN until I find one 😂...thanks for that 👌
This one will be listed on eBay Thursday evening with a 99p start price and no reserve 😬
Riding it Saturday it reminded me why they are still such great bikes 😎
Amazing, really looks the biz👍 A nice stablemate for your 250😁
Thanks mate 😎👍
I sold the RS250 a while back 😭😭😭
@@stoneautomotive Oh no! 😱😱😱😱
Super
Thank you 😎👍
You can lengthen the slots on that rear tank mount dude, makes getting an expanded tank back on a little easier, looking good 👍, if you plan on keeping it get rid of the 50mm link pipe/silencer combo and get a 60mm link pipe and a silencer to suit 👍
Good tip that, thankfully the fuel tank hadn’t expanded badly at all, I had read this to be an issue for the RSV (had a similar thing with my RC8)
That's a keeper well done.I'm doing the same with a 92 honda ns125 struggling for parts tho.
Thanks 👍😎
That’s the problem with the older stuff now, a lot of companies are stopping production of parts.. I see Wemoto stock half decent pattern stuff for the old classics 👍
Wow looks amazing...been following you on this bike and you have done it justice...looks awesome...top follower on your channel for sure now looking forward to future projects 👍 regards Stuart.
Thanks Stuart 😎👍
Great job and satisfying to watch 👍 Wonder Wheels brings your brake calipers up like new
Thanks 😎👍
Wonder wheels scares me, made a right mess many years ago trying to restore a set of badly stained wheels! Maybe have to same it again on a test piece 🤔
wow what a transformation this as been and what difference abit of matt black paint and stickers can make and im liking the matt black finish it really suits it you need to give your self a massive pat on the back mate for this and like how on somethings you never done before but you honest and just give it a try what you got to loose its going to look better than before 👍ps go and treat your self to a box of corona you deserve it 😃
Cheers Mike, thanks for the kind words 😎
I enjoy the challenge/ learning so always rewarding to see the positive reaction 😎
Haha always a box of Corona stocked regardless of creation completed or not 🤣
@@stoneautomotive no probs james 😉👍 so whats your next plans 😁
Maybe make it a firstaid box stash 😅😅
Very good work😮😮😮
Cheers thank you 😬👍
Bro with that screen screw just cut a slot in the head and use a flat screw driver no need to drill it out hope this helps on your next rounded screw
Good tip 👍
Great work. Get those scabby fasteners replated or replaced and it'll be done!
Thanks 👍😬
The problem is where do you stop 😅 would really like to get all the bolts zinc plated but it’s just never going to be that sort of build sadly
Joined this Channel Yesterday. And i like it! Not mutch of a car dude. But the MC, videos are great. Good stuff, man. Best from Denmark.
Welcome to the channel 😬
There’s normally a mixture through at the year of car/bike content but will be more bike content on the run up too Christmas 👍
Cool work...Congratulations...I don,t understand how somebody let outside a bike like this uncovered
Thank you 😎👍
