This is one of the best solos that I've ever heard, great tone, and with real emotion as well. Very hard to find people that play with the vibe you put into that song. Rock on my friend!
well done Krzysztof Pietras And Nathan Goss. No one says its supposed to surplant guitars. Whilst your right about getting a guitarist if you want a guitarist, (and get a drummer if you want a drummer) these are neither keyboard or guitar but a combination of techniques from both mediums to give an exciting and unique sound. It also gives great opportunity for keys players to be free of the limiting playing position behind keyboards stuck on fixed stands. Not exactly an "out front image"
Holy smoke! That was Armageddon! For me what you played was encyclopaedia of all things that should be in a great solo, in a single COHESIVE package... mesmerising feel, old school melodic emotion, technique, speed, flow, aggression... I could go on... RESPECT!
Wow, your technic and feeling are really something. One of the best Keytar players I saw on TH-cam. And I'm a Keytar playing too, I know how it goes!! Amazing... congrats.
Krzysztof, you're the only person in the world who can do this. I bow and take off my hat for you. Or actually, I bowed and my hat fell to the ground. Or actually, I tried to bow but my back hurt too much. The hat still fell off though. Anyway, I admire how you modulate chromatically with the right hand whilst at the same time counter-modulating chromatically with the left hand so the music is almost not affected. This must be where the electric guitar artifacts come from. Even more admirable is that at the very same time you also send the MIDI CC messages with the left hand and sometimes play before and sometimes after the beat without this affecting the result in the least. That left hand really has some control! It's masterful! Hats off! As head of CSI:Oslo, I had to investigate. I just had to. Happily, I was able to transport this vid to the head office, using the special suitcase of course, and at the office we, as we tend to do, added green and orange and red and blue and yellow, lots of it!, and we also got to zoom in on details that were not even part of the original video. This is where we got slightly disappointed. In the keytar display, when you held the Ax Synth exactly vertical, in one frame we could see how your brother laughed his arse off before murdering your sister. (Actually, we first thought your flatbreasted sister murdered your manboobed brother, but after some time we realised that the footage was horizontally reversed and we'd misinterpreted the buttons on their shirt and blouse. We're very professional at CSI:Oslo, but not yet as experienced as our colleagues in Miami.) Anyway, what I wanted to ask you is to ask your brother to not do this again. It's not really legal, and there's always a chance someone might get upset - especially your sister. Thanks again!
WOW! I've never heard such an epic sound from a keytar! I've been thinking about buying one for a while now, but I've never heard anything much to my taste from one... Until now! Your skills are crazy good dude, keep it going and please keep posting more videos! :D
you've gotta be kidding!...I can't stop watching this, the technique, the modest demeanour and so much feel for a white boy...oh and that sound man....I'm quite sure that ascending scale is a minor pentatonic...just fast and accurate as all hell
I don't know how hard that is, but it was AMAZING none the less. maybe more. one rift had me feeling weird. like if I was trippin, I couldn't handle it. but
I'd like to see some of those keytar tips as well! Killer Video Dude, some great stuff here. Inspired me to spend my afternoon in AX Synth Editor playing with everything. I'd love to see perhaps even some screen shots of your setups. Great sound, and your managing your sounds very well. Great bends too!
Simply Brilliant. How about putting out a tutorial on how you achieve those great tones and effects for us mere mortals that are just learning the ins and outs of the AX-Synth?? How cool would that be? Thanks for a great video.
Wow, just wow. Well done, that sounded amazing, and your fingers just seem to float across the keys so well. Very fucking good, man. I wanna see more, so sub for sure.
You have incredible chops kid! I wish you would use a MiniMoog sound with this song. No one could ever do Hendrix justice on an instrument with no strings. Think Emerson Lake and Palmer: Lucky Man. A classic two square wave oscillators, slightly detuned patch. Synthetic Stratocaster‘s are nice but this tune deserves a good classic analog synth cover version.
*raises hand* Umm, I have a question? When did Keytar all of a sudden become absolutely amazing and not incredibly nerdy? Oh...just now? Ok good. Just making sure I didn't miss something... Nice job man! Seriously changed my impression of the Keytar...well done... *slow claps*
hey bro fantastic job. keytar wasn't off lol. honestly as a guitar player of 10 years if I didn't watch you play it I wouldn't have known it's a synth. Are you running it through au separate midi, or is that built in sound to that Roland?
amazing... how did you get this sound? and also what model is that? -edit- sorry im blind... says ax synth in the title. looking forward to someday owning one...
@@wellvos oh hey guys... sorry for the literal years late reply. in the end i didn't quite go this route. i wound up going to university for classical music and piano performance-- in time, i ended up becoming a proud owner of a grand piano instead! sorry if this is disappointing though. maybe ill get this synth someday...
Hi. It's the most amazing solo on Ax-Synth on youtube! Great! The sound of the bank is perfect. Could you please share the midi message for the effect if it's not a secret?;)
desde Argentina te felicito soy Maximiliano te consulto si tendrás a la venta un teclado usado de esos que se cuelgan . desde ya gracias. en nombre mío y de de mi Fundación
Holy hot damn.
I have the sudden urge to go out and buy a keytar.

You can buy a guitar too !
The keytar looks switched off. Is he really playing it?

and that... ladies and gentleman...... is how an ax synth should be played!!!!!
well done Krzysztof Pietras

I've been using this video as an example of how cool a keytar is since 2010, please dont you ever delete it! XD thanks
This is still one of the best I've heard, years later
Actually the best solo I've ever heard
You put a lot of feeling into this one, buddy. Nice!
great expression, outstanding speed and precision :)
made me want to run and buy a keytar, this is awesome

FANTASTIC man....
Just purchased mine and I can't wait to do the stuff am hearing here. Was using a Korg RK I discovered in a friend's studio.
never knew you could get such a realistic guitar sound out of a key instrument
Fajnie, że nie stoisz sztywno tylko się cieszysz grą, popisujesz. Do tego ten instrument służy i lubię kiedy klawiszowiec to rozumie. Pozdro!
Don't listen to the trash talk. It may not have been exactly like the original but it was still way cool! Keep on rockin' Krzysiek!
