- Mistheria Keytar Solo - Live in Osaka (Japan) on May 30th 2019. The show was part of the "Trilogy" Revival Japan Tour 2019, feat. Mark Boals (vocals), Kelly Simonz (guitar), Mistheria (keyboards), Kaz Nakamura (bass), Yosuke Yamada (drums), Karena (backing vocals).
Performed on Keytar Roland AX1 and Keith McMillen Instruments 12Step pedal-board. Lead sound by Sonic Projects OPX-PRO II (Mistheria Edition) and IK Multimedia Amplitube. Bass sound by IK Multimedia Syntronik. All sounds and effects run by Cantabile Performer VST-host.

@@crumblemuffin1257 Well :) There are now several brands producing Keytars, e.g. Roland, Yamaha, Alesis, Korg... It depends how much you want to invest at the beginning. Alesis and Yamaha have some entry level instruments worth to check. Or, you can find something in the second-hand market, my favorite is the Roland AX1, simply the only one I play since ever (and you can see in all my Keytar videos). @@crumblemuffin1257 I'd recommend you learning piano I mean playing a keytar is just playing a piano but in another position and 10 times more epic
@@crumblemuffin1257 learn right handed keyboard parts, that’s the majority of keytar playing, but i suggest learning piano in general so that you can actually understand it better, then just learn the different keyboard and synth sounds to help identify what you need to play different songs and which effects are needed, about Keytar models, the best one these days is the Roland AX edge which is a synth keytar, so it has sounds built in, but it’s a thousand dollars because the controls are customizable, second to that is the Korg RK-100s2, it’s also a synth but it’s cheaper and has less features than the Roland, then below that would be the Alesis Vortex wireless , it’s around 300 to 400 dollars but it’s a midi Keytar, so that means you need a sound module or a laptop/phone or any gadget that can produce sound, it’s only a controller, like a Guitar Hero controller but it’s actually a keyboard for making music, then around the price of the Alesis is the Yamaha SHS-500 Sonigenic keytar which is a synth and it’s made for beginners, and even cheaper is the Yamaha SHS-10, yoh can only buy these vintage instruments used and the lowest ive seen it go for is $100

I do like the electric guitar, and I LOVE Synthesizers and incorporate it in my own music a lot and the fact the keytar is that and a guitar merged together makes it a very interesting instrument that I feel should make a comeback. The ONLY person mainstream that I know who plays and likes the keytar is Lady Gaga and I rarely see her play it herself. This was one hell of a Keytar solo. One day I gotta get myself a Keytar just because I find them really cool and underrated

I once plugged an AX-1 into a JP-8000 on the floor of a retailer. Even though my mentor was as condemning of keytars (thinking you couldn’t possibly have the same technique as you would sitting at a piano) as he was of double-neck guitars (for a similar reason), I honestly felt that those two instruments together could’ve been for me if I could’ve afforded both. I probably would’ve tried the kind of thing that Mistheria did here.
