Synths are built to work in conjunction with computers and amps, and powering the keyboard and all its on board computers AS WELL as big speakers would require an excess amount of power. The SHS-200 I mentioned? It had 2 built in speakers and consequently requires 6 C-Cell batteries to run, this makes it quite quite heavy.
Back when this, the Lucina version and the AX Edge were on the market, I was tempted to snag one. I was - regrettably - dissuaded. On occasion, I wish I hadn’t listened to the dissenters.

So yeah im buying one of these friday second hand , just wondering , im a guitarist and not massive on the tech aspects of anything really so if i were to say plug it into my amp , does it have a jack or do i plug it using the left and right outputs into the Red and White on my amp with one of those double leads , sorry to sound like a massive plonker , more of an acoustic guy but had the chance to buy this and its blown my mind with how sexy it is

The sounds are very easy to pick out in a mix, and even the classic synth-style patches are unconvincing. This doesn't seem like much more than a flashy home keyboard with a neck and strap buttons.

I had to return it 3 times, because each time the pitch bender broke. I just returned it and bought myself a Kurzweil PC3.
