In this video I get every single trophy in Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Volume 1. Spanning 4 trophy lists, watch as I struggle and prevail through each one.
I apologize if the sound mixing is weird at times, but I tried my hardest to make this video the best it could possibly be! I’m open to doing more videos like this one in the future if you guys like it!
At the very least I hope this is a video you can turn on in the background while you do something else - maybe even when you’re getting some trophies yourself!?

I got the platium trophy for metal gear 1 & 2, mgs 3 and mgs 5. I plan on getting the trophy for MGS 1. However, I refuse to attempt MGS 2 😂😂Good video! I really enjoyed :)
@@JamieBayliss I don’t blame you for not attempting 2 lol! As you can see in the video I struggled a lot, but I left out so much for sake of time! That Big Boss Run is just BRUTAL! Along with the grind for the dog tags. A very, very lengthy platinum!

Not sure if anyone has pointed this out yet(or maybe you find out later in the video, I’m only halfway through) but the reason the guard only took one tranq and was out immediately at 22:38 is because you shot him in the balls, which works because this is a hideo kojima game

I platinumed mgs4 and was never able to platinum any of the others besides peacewalker so it really shouldn't be that difficult. Tedious sure

@@tasteofowl it will definitely take a lot of time to plat peacewalker but it's easy. Just make sure you look up the hidden necessities online. Mgs4 is the opposite. Hard but once you're used to it the plat is a breeze and pretty fast
I hope they bring back co-op in peacewalker. The boss fights are way more fun that way and there are even co-op items and weapons
@@aroccoification hopefully my experience turns out the same! They definitely need to keep multiplayer! I’ve only played through peace walker once, single player only! So would love to play multiplayer!

I’m still finding my groove in making these videos - at times I feel this video feels too much like an essay, which I hope to avoid in the future. My biggest goal is to make the Trophy Hunting journey enjoyable even if you don’t love the game I’m playing! Hopefully I succeed on that goal.

Thoroughly enjoyed this video from beginning to end. I know you don’t think it turned out great, but regardless of room for improvement i definitely would love more metal gear videos(or even videos on other series) whether or not it’s about trophies. I don’t know if you’ve seen my newest video on the Dead Rising 1 platinum, but my next will be on Dead Rising 2: OTR. Then Dead Rising: Deluxe Remaster in end of September or early October! I might squeeze in a non Dead Rising video before that one though.
Trust me though, there will be more Metal Gear videos in the future! Along with other variety of games.
I’m finding it fun to go through some of my favorite games for now, but at some point I’ll definitely have Trophy Hunting videos on new games that I’ve never played before!
However, I do agree challenge runs could be potentially cool! So I will definitely put that on the list of kinds of videos to do in the future!

@@mugy628 Yeah… can’t say I recommend going for mgs2 even as a HUGE Metal Gear fan - I was near breaking point many times.
I do believe you can do it though, just takes so much trial and error!!

@@B.Grant207 I’m so glad you loved it! However, I do agree with you! My problem was trying to fit all the trophies in one video, while not making it, too long! This being my first video I was worried about the length.
Now that I’ve done a few more, I can say I wish I would have made this video at least an hour and 20 long. So I could have discussed more areas more thoroughly… along with story a little more, but I refuse to spoil these masterpieces for anyone.
But I will definitely try to skip less when Vol 2 arrives, along with Mgs Delta - that’ll be a long video for sure! I can’t wait!

I’m really confused about the 25 hours of VR missions. It took me 3 hours and should take about that long. What went wrong?
@@Tomweldonsays I might have exaggerated a hair, but what happened was at launch - the VR missions trophy didn’t work if you did it on integral or normal US copy.
So I ended up doing nearly all of them before finding that out, on the integral version. I didn’t mention it in the video because I felt it was dragging as it was. However, even with that all being said - in hindsight it probably took me closer to 20 hours.
I consider myself a Metal Gear Veteran, but man I was struggling on a majority of them. I’ll blame it on no analog support lol.
That all being said, I could never do them in 3 hours! I commend you for that!
@@tasteofowl Ohhh I see I see. Anyways, I'm currently struggling through MGS3 myself. I'm on playthrough 4 or 5 because I kept missing an animal or plant or Kerotan... Ugh.
I would say that you did a great job, as a trophy hunter I am currently doing the Metal Gear Solid series and the only one's I am nervous about are Metal Gear Solid 2 and Metal Gear Solid 4. Any advice would be good, in the mean time keep up the great work.

But yeah Metal Gear Solid 2 should have you nervous unfortunately, the Big Boss run is just ridiculously difficult. Although it’s doable, my bets advice is for you to use a guide for when to best save. Besides the Big Boss rank though, the platinum is just time consuming - just keep up persistence and you can do it!

I don’t blame you! TPP is a long one, I actually did the 100% twice, first on Xbox One back at launch. Then for platinum on PS4 a couple years later and if it has a new trophy list for Vol 2. I’ll be doing it all over again.
However, it really is a tough one. I’d suggest you go back for it, but man the mission tasks are stupidly tedious at times.
I remember this being my third time getting the plat in 2 and 3, as they had trophies on psp and ps3.
I wont ask to inflict Peace Walker on you on ps3... it will take years off your life

@tasteofowl for sure! Give you time to prep. I'm a glutton for punishment and MGS would be my number 1 franchise. Hence the every game platinum thing. I wouldn't recommend revisitng the ps3 trophies unless you want those 1 or 2 different trophies like all dogs tags etc 🫠

I’m currently doing Dead Rising 2: Off the Record plat for my next video and I’m 72% complete at the moment, but it’s causing me some problems. After I do this one I think it’s time to do an easier platinum lol.

could you explain the playing on japanese version in very easy and still able to get fox rank? i have it on ps5 im jus confused on how to do thsy
@@almighty7509 Sure thing! When you start up the MGS1 master collection version and are given the list of languages - you want to pick “Japanese”. Which might require an additional download when clicking on it.
But when you enter this version of the game, there will be no difficulty selection screen. Instead it’ll just throw you into the game when you hit NEW GAME.
Which the Japanese version of the game is the equivalent of the easy difficulty on the American version of the game.
So once you start the Japanese version of the game, just go through it and follow the foxhound/big boss rank requirements!

I was playing that shit on day 1 (2) on the OG MGS2 before substance, before the HD nerfed it even more.
You can unlock ghe infinity face paint by getting foxhound, too. If you didnt get foxhound you wouldn't have gotten it.

@@tasteofowl yup, I'm pretty sure the tsuchinoko option is intended for people who are playing on difficulties too low for a high enough rank to unlock it but it's so much more convenient that everyone does it instead
@@cordeliafrey9950 that makes a lot of sense! I knew that you could get the stealth by either 0 alerts OR getting all 64 Kerotans. So there also being 2 ways to get the infinity face paint seems obvious now! Thank you for taking the time to explain it - should be helpful for Delta!

@@user-qe8sl1jn6l Honestly couldn’t tell you lol. I can tell you why I’ve started though and that’s only because I love to get platinums. To the point where I feel it’s become an unhealthy obsession. Taking up too much of my time, so I figured I might as well make videos on it for other’s enjoyment if I continue down the path!

You should platinum the Naked Snake (and Venom) games, if you can since its not as easy to get PW these days
Unfortunately I did the Venom Snake game (mgsv) platinum back in 2018, but once Vol 2 comes I’ll do it again and every other game in that collection!
I actually just finished Dead Rising 1’s platinum - so that’ll be my next video! Should be a fun one but a shorter video!

Yeah these big boss runs are cancer. Literally the only 2 trophies I’m missing is BB runs for 2 and 3
They definitely are difficult! However, I’ll recommend you attempt the BB run for 3! Due to the save limit, it’s manageable - I believe you can do it!
Now mgs2 on the other hand… yeah. I mean you watched the video… I do not recommend that headache at all! Now others may disagree with me, but in my opinion it’s just overwhelmingly difficult!

You REALLY shouldn't include those controller sounds. Incredibly distracting and annoying. Use a proper mic to record reactions.
But hat's off. MGS2 isn't easy to Plat.
I apologize for that! In future videos I’ll definitely refrain from it as much as possible! Just wasn’t wearing my headset for a couple of the clips, but felt they were necessary to include due to the significant of the trophies.
