It's even better because mere seconds before he points out that Snake is the only person he's ever read the mind of that isn't horny, and THAT'S why he helps you before dying.

Same kind of situation with Nastasha, the Russian weapons expert the game literally never tells you about. Her accent is a bit more obviously bullshit though.
