- I’m back once again, this time I’ve gotten the platinum in Dead Rising 2: Off the Record. This was quite a taxing plat so I hope you all enjoy! As always feel free to give feedback in the comments - on what I should change for my next video(s)!

Fun fact: On Sandbox mode, you can find Jack in the TIR arena fairly early and eliminate him and earn the Protoman Helmet that way. So if anything it's considerably easier than getting the Knight helmet in the original DR2 which required defeating Jack in Poker.
Literally no idea that was a thing! I don’t fully regret getting it through Poker, it was a whole journey that way lol!

Great video also the batman arkham games are a fun and slight challenge to platinum
Unfortunately I already did them! Last year, did those and the Batman Telltale games - all back to back and loved every second of it! Really wish I had waited and did them for a video!

My next video will most likely be me getting the Borderlands 1 platinum - which I just started going for today. So that video will probably be released mid August.
I’m doing it mainly for a breather from Dead Rising before I’m labeled as only a Dead Rising trophy hunting channel lol. Because in September I will be doing DRDR!
That being said later down the line I might do normal Dead Rising 2, like 80% chance! Dead Rising 4 I’m not so sure about… for obvious reasons. While Dead Rising 3 I’ll consider for a very special occasion and get the achievements on Steam!
I absolutely love Dead Rising as you can tell, so anything’s possible tbh! Sorry for the lengthy comment - and the spoilers for my future content!

It’s kinda weird in my run through of DR2 I had constant crashes but in Off the record in my entire run I had like 3 at most I think, idk why DR2 was so unstable for me
That is weird! I have no clue what caused all of my crashes, I know both games are very unstable on these ports. However, it is strange you didn’t have nearly the problem I did. Consider yourself lucky though lol! But does scare me to try to platinum normal DR2 someday.

Very nice job. As far as the bugs go it’s the same on the Xbox One port of OTR, snipers auto fire, game crashes every 20 minutes or so, and sometimes co op is just too laggy to play

I've just bought dead rising 1,2. Otr and 4. Absolutely love them. Dead rising 2 otr is amazing. Wish 3 was on ps4. I have to buy a xb1 for that

Is the original dead rising 2 more easy to platinum
I actually believe normal Dead Rising 2 is more of a grind, lots of - use X amount of items on zombies and so forth. Also have to get all 50 survivors, but it doesn’t have any of the challenges. Probably just depends on what you consider harder, but I’ve heard normal DR2 crashes even more!

This channel is literally me myself. I love MGS, I love Megaman, I love Dead Rising. I swear, if you are gonna do Yakuza next, or GTA 4, or even Left 4 Dead 2, I will literally freak out.

@@GuiCarboneYT Unfortunately Dead Rising 3 never came to PlayStation, which is a shame because I actually really enjoyed that one! I like 1&2 more, but 3 is still an enjoyable game that I would 100% do a video on it! Hopefully now with DRDR they do a remaster for it.
Now Dead Rising 4 on the other hand… I personally don’t like enough to go for. I wish I did, but I finished that game back on release and even now it feels like to soon to revisit it.

I have the "platinum" for DR1,2 and 3, all on the port version. But I think I'll go for the og ones on 360, I just don't know if DR2 still have an online server or a player base for those challenges
@@GuiCarboneYT I could be wrong, but I believe Dead Rising 2 (Xbox 360 versions) still have their servers up! However the active player base part - probably not! I’m sure if you check the Dead Rising Reddit you could find some people willing to join you!

it is their anti damage attack simliar to how bosses take less damage the more you hit them.

Yeah I’m not a fan on how you have to wait a couple seconds before you can do full damage attacks on psychopaths again! But I love the game so much! That I’ll forgive it!

@@jordanwhite7222 It’s been awhile since I’ve played either, but I recall DR3 not being a bad game - however the change to the time limit, survivors, and being in a city instead of a mall. All hurt it, definitely a disappointment after 1&2 but still a fun game.

@@PhantomRemmy Good choice! But man I feel you lol! My account is at over a 53% trophy rate. I try to 100% every game I play and with this channel that’s going to continue, but at times that’s definitely a bad thing lol. Some games are just not worth the struggle
@@tasteofowl these devs be making some of these trophies borderline suicidal levels of grind or just difficulty, like rn I started a single player game and 4 of the trophies to platnium is online related and they are extremely grindy, spent almost 15 dollars on that game, im still gonna play it because I want my moneys worth. And its fun, hopefully the dead rising remake will calm down on the trophies but obviously still keep some difficulty there. I do not want to spend 14 hours again just for one trophy.

Honestly the only achievements that got on my nerves was the Denyce, limited food item, and coop gold challenges, most of the others were pretty easy
@@mediawatcher9225 I 100% agree. For me the Co-Op challenges were just so tedious. It wouldn’t be bad if you didn’t have to do the single player ones, too! Just got on my nerves.
The rest I agree with as well! 3 trophies that just make the list difficult, tedious! Then the constant crashing just amplified everything for me.
Still had fun overall, though!!

@@tasteofowl the purewal achievement was a nightmare cause I could’ve sworn I didn’t eat any meat dairy or alchohol, so I simply started a new character and didn’t bother with survivors, killed snowflake and just waited for the military to arrive, didn’t even take any chances, if dr2 and otr remake are a thing I really hope they don’t bring back that achievement

I want to know how your able to beat the story. Attempting to play Dead Rising 2 off the record on ps5 the game crashes every time right before I start The Facts mission.
@@jigsawb2298 I’m truly sorry to hear that, luckily I didn’t have any consistent crashes - at any story specific segments like that. However, I had a point where my save kept crashing every time I entered a certain zone and restarting my ps5 fixed it. Not saying that’ll fix your issue, but hopefully it all works out. It’s truly a shame that this port is so broken, it’s such an incredible game.

Dead rising 3 next 🤨
Unfortunately Dead Rising 3 has never come to PlayStation ;(! Or I’d totally do it, I want to do a non Dead Rising game for my next video… however I won’t write off the idea of me dusting off the old Xbox One/PC and doing Dead Rising 3 achievements in the future!

@@rz9426 Compared to DR4 it’s definitely not awful… however, yeah I remember that map being an absolute disaster - so many needless roadblocks. It’s a fun zombie game still, but so different that it lost a lot of what I love about the first 2 games. Still a fun game though!
@@tasteofowl yeah I think DR4 has its own category DR3 honestly it was just a downgrade the stores were a downgrade the psychopath were downgraded the survivors were horrible you were only able to take one at a time but honestly the story wasn’t that bad and the main character was good
I can't obtain this plat, because the coop mode is broken. In the story mode the loading screen is frozen every time in the safe house. Sandbox mode also.
@@domid7763 That’s awful! I’m sorry to hear that - unfortunately it’s not surprising. These ports are awful, which is heartbreaking. Have you tried deleting your save data on the game altogether - in the system settings? It’s suck, but maybe that’d help?

I don’t understand why this game isn’t canon because it has the original protagonist and it should be canon to the main story West was the first protagonist for the series and he was the last protagonist for the series, but we don’t talk about that last game because it was a major flop
