I watched Kim's Convenience on netflix here in Singapore.. binge-watched it like 3 months ago (loved it). and then I see him in the Mandalorian... what a fun thing that was.
I never seen him before mandalorian and I was like Man that guy's good actor he conveyed a confidence in himself and made me believe he was a good pilot. That's acting!
Man, I got the biggest grin on my face when I saw Paul in that X-Wing. I didn't know about his love of SW, I was just really excited to see an actor I'm familiar with. Watching this video damn near brought me to tears as I came to understand just how much it meant to him.
I thought he looked familiar in Episode 2, but didn't realize it was "Mr. Kim" until I saw him again in Episode 4. Also didn't realize he was a Star Wars nerd until I saw this video. Must've been so awesome for him to be standing in an X-wing pilot's flight suit and say lines like "I served during Alderaan"!!!
I hope, after Season 4, The Mandalorian features his and Trapper Wolf (Dave Filoni)'s squadron in a 2-hr. plus The Mandalorian feature film, on the big screen, with a huge space battle between Gideon's forces and Mando, his friends, and The New Republic.
The dude does a great job! It's the doing your duty for the sake of the galaxy against opposition who want the same thing. You can see that in the acting.
