I can see why lol. He probably annoyed the hell out of him😂 mark was a different person before he got in a car crash after the first Star Wars. He was pretty hyper and pubescent. the only time we ever really see his personality like this is in a new hope.
@@KevinSchmitt77 If someone offered you twenty bucks today to go away, wouldn't you take it; I mean, chances are, you're gonna go away either way (most people don't wanna be THAT guy), and I'd rather have an extra twenty in my pocket if everything else is gonna be the same.
yes it is such an underrated phrase. i just looked it up and it is rated 83,457th. If I had a nickel for every time someone commented on youtube that something was underrated, i would be a very rich man.
Interesting note: The little person Mark is referring to here is the great Jack Purvis, whom was also in a musical comedy duo called the Mini-Tones with fellow Star Wars co-star Kenny Baker. Unfortunately Jack suffered an accident in 1991 where his cars brakes failed when he was working on it and it rendered him quadriplegic. He was a staple actor in many of Terry Gilliam's films of the 1980's.
NOOOOOO!! I loved Jack in Time Bandits, and always wondered why he didn't do more stuff after the 80's. I didn't realize this is who Mark was talking about, and that that's what happened to him! Sad now. =(
-Wow, So sorry to hear about Jack's car accident. And to be a quadriplegic for the rest of your life has to be the worst of the worst that can happen to a person. I have only a general idea of how it was for Jack because i fell of a mobile home roof and broke my hip bone and shoulder bone & that put me in a wheel chair for half a year But in a full year i was back to myself again with only a very slight limp. I really hate hearing things like this happen to good people.
The reason Mark Hamill was so good as Luke Skywalker, I think, is because in real life he is a positive, animated, fun person. Luke is like that, he's positive, adventurous, and loving.
That's what he was told about the casting. he couldn't believe he was actually the lead, and they had to explain those qualities he has that shine through so well. They wanted a pure, believable lad to be the archetypal hero.
Luke Richardville actually snowflake I am sick of cursing, spent 26 years in the military idiots with no education cursing like sailors. It is a great gauge of ones intelligence. Mark Hamel is NOT my God like he is yours, now go and start planning for the next Star Wars Convention with all of your moron friends and grow up AH
I think one of my favorite things about watching Mark's old interviews is that it's wonderful to see how he has not changed fundamentally as such a wonderful and charming human being.
@@LordSathar There were a lot of jerks back then, too. Don't make out like everyone was as kind or respectful as Mark is. He may not be one of a kind, but he's a special guy.
@@jeffreym.8957 "He may not be one of a kind..." Show me someone who can replace him as the hero in a Star Wars film, and I'll withdraw my objection...
I remember when Malibu had a horrible wildfire in 1993 and all of the houses in this one neighborhood burned down except Hamill's. Hamill immediately grabbed a news crew and went on live TV to tell all of his neighbors who were now homeless to come to his place and he'd feed & shelter them until they found something permanent. Then he promptly set up a food and beverage station for the firefighters while he set up his house for potential guests. He is truly an amazing human being.
Did you count all the times Johnny Carson interrupted him during his story?? that's right, 0, literally a great example on why he will always be the king of late night. Not saying late night show hosts are bad these days, but Johnny literally just sat back and let Mark just tell his hilarious story
I agree. Johnny seemed distracted and unimpressed. Wonder if it was because of a rush to get in the commercial break like Luke said, or if he had an issue with Mark or was just underwhelmed with Star Wars in general, though I don't recall hearing about any problems.
Carson was actually pretty good about letting people talk through. More likely the time for a commercial break was upon him and he needed to let Hamill get in a plug for the sequel, and/or whatever that white board he was about to hold up was requiring airtime. I agree this seemed abrupt but it is unusual.
I got some great ideas if they do a sequel What if we do a shocking twist since Luke never got to know his father what if Darth Vader was actually Lukes father no one would expect that and it would be a big question if he really is.
Listening to Mark tell the story, and doing Sir Alec Guinness voice, we see how much he was underrated as a talented actor and a great person. His voice work is top-notch... and he's still married to his wife after 40+ years. No cheating, not a drug addict, no red flag. A swell guy... Luke Skywalker in real life.
Sometimes I wish George Lucas had let Mark Hamill's charisma embody Luke more, because DAMN, this man can tell stories all day every day and I'll be there for it.
Lucas was and always has been a stifling director... Only great British actos like Alex and Ian has been able to negotiate George's clasp and squeeze a natural, dramatic performance out of it! And Harrison of course who gives nor takes two fucks from anyone and just does his thang no matter what is going on around him- sounds like he was made to be Solo!
Not only do I absolutely love Mark and love to hear him but obviously so did Johnny! He’s quiet an listens! He didn’t interrupt Mark at all! I miss Late Night Tv hosts like this.
Mark is one of the very few people who I could just sit down and talk to for hours and not get bored, he's so charming and just an all around great story teller. Not a single word that comes out of his mouth is dull.
Listening to this and watching his mannerisms, and than transitioning to him speak at Star Wars celebration 2017 is awesome! He still has that amazing sense of storytelling
@@CerpinTxt87 I get why you would say this in response but the truth of the matter is that now the audience is told when to laugh with a sign and all of it is planned before hand. You could hear them laughing but it wasnt forced it was authentic and the host wouldnt interrupt the guest constantly.

Mark is such a phenomenal story teller! Years ago XM covered Star Wars Celebration V and I got to hear a panel he did talking about his time filming and the friendships he made. He really never seems to have a poor word to say about anyone either. Anything that could have been negative he always dresses up as quirky or endearing. He also had one of the best descriptions I ever heard for his storytelling. He was pointing out how anyone in the room could beat him in Star Wars trivia. But he wasn't there to talk trivia, "I'm here to paint you *word pictures* about my time there." And his love for the fans is amazing. He doesn't know Star Wars lore but he is a huge nerd himself so he understands the fans love for Star Wars and does his best for them.

To be fair, only one of those is really considered an insult these days. Thanks to movies and games like the Hobbit and D&D, the other's become a complement. Seriously movies and games like that give shorter people quite the confidence boost.
I don't see why not. like, they did kill of Peter Cushing's character and clearly showed that Darth survived the destruction of the Death Star. and he did murder Obi-Wan and Luke's father so there's plenty to do with him, so would be a waste not to use him in a sequel yet who knows. I'm also wondering who Leia will hook up with, I'm guessing Luke yet that somehow turns my stomach. it's weird. Leia is a true bunny though. I went to the record shop the other day, you know to get the newest David Bowie record, and the shop owner said that Star Wars 2 will come out round 1980! like, I'm sure the sequel will be bitch'n and all but having to wait all the way until the turn of the decade to see a motion picture is like totally bogus man! I get the visual effects need allot of time and all, but I was like buzz off! can't they release a Star Wars picture on an annual basis or something? well, at least Star trek is getting a motion picture next year that might be slammin, I guess. until then all we're left with is the boob tube.
Oh man, that's a total bugger. We gotta wait 'till the 80s? With this tempo we will get episode 7 around 2000s, haha. At that point we probably will have laser guns in real life and stuff. But anyway, I am glad they are doing the second movie, without great talent of Alec Guinness and Peter Cushing unfortunately, but that Harrison Ford guy, man, he's got some bright future I'll tell ya.
He sold out his character! Sold out to the franchise as it was on a self destruct course and everyone told him. They don't listen. Spiting fans is how they relax nowadays
Mark Hamill shines charisma out of every pore of his being. His ease and comfort, the way he gestures expansively and uses his eyes to turn the stage into *his* stage, this is the strength of the oral tradition. And Johnny Carson, eternal master of the three-ring circus of late night television, knew when he saw a lion, and sat back and let him pace and roar in his space. You don't only see Mark Hamill's genius as a storyteller on display, but Johnny Carson's genius as an empathetic leader and avatar for the audience. He knew this was a moment to quash his ego and cede his space to the storyteller; it was his moment to lead by facilitation and curiosity. That was his gift and his genius -- he knew when to assert and when to withdraw; when to lead the subject and when to lead the audience.
Bill The Bull Gates That is too good a guess, if I have to guess I'd call you a liar. Also, if you hate 'em jimmies, then don't say that they're greater than neutron.
1:09 love when Carson, sensing the story derailing, gently prods Mark back by interjecting "Guinness is wonderful" to remind him where he was going with this. Master interviewer and host.
honestly i don't like the beard, it adds like 20 years to the guy's face, look up a picture without the beard, he looks like 40. i know he's really 66 years old now, and with the beard he really looks it, too. Hopefully he shaves it off now that he doesn't need to be a Jedi hermit anymore
Thank you for this. Alec Guinness allegedly HATE Star Wars, but I don't think it was because he hated the movie or what it was about or hated the fans or was even sorry that he had anything to do with it. I think it had more to do with that being the only part he would be remembered for and he really wanted young people to have an appreciation for Shakespeare and movies based on great literature and I think he was sad to see that change. He was, at the time, one of a great generation of British actors who loved the stage and classical type roles so calm down SW fans, it was not about the movie so much as wanting young viewers to place value on the classics as well. All the cast members adored him and he was a very good influence on them professional wife. I think I might be a little mad too if I had played such legendary characters and only remembered for one of them
Claudia Bailey: true, but it can be argued that it has come to be so only after this frustration of his, which Shannon Reynolds refers to, became well known much thanks to the Internet. I still hear this erroneous assumption that he hated Star Wars _an_ _sich_ quite a lot, and learned the truth myself (that he actually liked the tone of the film and considered it a chivalric romance of sorts - a refreshing change in the time when Hollywood movies had picked up a rather grime tone) only a year or so - after viewing some of his interviews here in TH-cam.
Shannon Reynolds he hated it because it was low budget and he thought people wouldn't see it (the first one atleast) and the others he just felt like he shouldn't be there, the story didn't need him anymore ... he did an interview regarding that at one point Edit: or maybe that was Harrison Ford... guess there's a few actors that didn't like being being in Star Wars lol
It's weird hearing about how great Sir Alec was... nowadays, he's mainly only known for Star Wars... but he was huge during his time.... Shows how much gets forgotten in time...
I only know him from Lawrence of Arabia, and I feel somewhat proud for having watched that movie which I know most people nowadays wouldn't have the intelligence or patience to be able to sit through
Purvis and Baker were both in Time Bandits together as well as in several other films. They were best friends and used to be vaudeville artists together. Purvis was also Ugnaught in ESB and both were Ewoks in ROTJ.
Mark Hamill literally made his words flow without him saying "like" "i was like" "he or she was like" "I was like oh" This made me want to practice my own speech as fluently
My comment was that it's extremely unusual to see Mark flustered or hesitate over words and he did little bits of both here. It's also a reminder of what he looked like before his accident
The phrase I dislike today is, “You know” We were talking, Ya know, I was driving, Ya know, The day started, ya know, like any other day. When they don’t have a script, many of today’s actors are limited, ya know.
I never realized what a good story teller Mark is. I mean really this is such a simple moment but he stretched it out into a great 3 and a half minute segment.
+Impatiens the Sorry Shmuck No, these were the days before third/fourth wave feminazis, SJWs and political correctness went mad and everyone was triggered about every fucking thing. I suggest you crawl back into your 'safe space' if you find something this old so offensive.
He certainly understood characters motives, directions and development far better than the soulless suits at Disney. Come to think of it, even Jar Jar Binks got more character development in the prequals that most characters in the Disney sequels.
Love it how he casually mentions a sequel to Star Wars at the end of the interview as no one knew it would live on to be possibly the best film of all time
It's funny to watch reruns of Johnny Carson. There are so many times stories like this just go on and on, like they lead nowhere. Same was when Johnny would do sketches, they lasted WAAAAAY too long by today's standards. People had far more patience back then.
Offense had nothing to do with it. It was the standard term at the time. "Little person" did not begin to become the preferred term until at least a decade later.
You know, when a group of people make it clear they would prefer to be called by a certain term, maybe that ought to be respected, because maybe they have more of a right to define themselves than I do.
It used to be "I wish I could have been there." Now it is "I wish you would have filmed it". With the implication that - "I don't want to hear you telling me about it, I want to watch it myself on a little screen". A good story will never again be as appreciated as it once was because that will always be in the back of peoples minds. I might just be a crabby old man, at the age of 27, but I think it is fucking sad
Gabarge Person Amazing. Every word you just said is wrong. And what you said doesn't make sense with itself. Why exactly do you think people used to say "I wish I could have been there?" You think it was NOT because they would have preferred to see it with their own eyes over the narration of the event that they just got? No, it was exactly because of that. And just because they preferred to be there rather than hear about it, doesn't mean they did not appreciate the narration or did not want to hear it. And why do you think people go "I wish you had recorded it" today? It is the exact same reason, motivation, etc. as in the past! Just like their ancestors, they they know they weren't there and can't travel back in time and space to experience it first hand. A video is a closer approximation of being there overall (and adds _different_ information on the event that helps them to mentally reconstruct it), so they wish they could get _at least_ that too, if possible. Just as they wish they were actually there. And, exactly like in the past, just because they would have preferred to be there in the first place, and in second place they would enjoy to have at least an audiovisual reproduction of the event for higher fidelity and extra detail, that does not imply that they did not want to hear the story or that they don't appreciate the narration of the event! Those are not mutually exclusive today as they were not in the past. People, now and then, are non surprisingly people - they behave the same overall, the think the same ways, they are the same old pieces of shit as they have always been - today, we just have different toys to play. You're not a crabby old man at the age of 27 (for the record, younger than I am), you're delusionally romantic about the past and completely misunderstand people and their basic motivation - past and present. If there is something fucking sad in this discussion, it is your misconceptions.
Louis Victor The point is that timetravel was never possible so "I wish I could have been there" was never meant to be taken literally. That's the difference. It's hilarious to me how much you're reading into it and how you think you can conclude I know nothing about peoples basic motivation based on that one comment. Yours has to be the most elitist comment I've ever seen, "Every word you just said is wrong". Snap. It was not meant as a personal attack on you or anyone older than me if that's what you think, mate.
Garbage Person The point is, that time travel was obviously hyperbole. You know, one of those figures of speeches not meant to be taken literally? Well, to give you credit, if you _think_ about it, it is still logically implied, even if the speaker doesn't mean it like that. But usually they just mean they wish they were there naturally when the event did happen. Either way, you're still wrong. People did literally wish, and do wish, that they _could have_ been there - the conditional is the operative term here. Just because you _can't do_ something anymore doesn't mean you can't wish you _could have done_ it (somehow, someway) - the two are not the same thing, and not mutually exclusive. That is the actual difference. Secondly "every word you just said is wrong" is a quote from Luke in The Last Jedi, aka Mark Hammil (maybe it was "was" instead of "is", but big difference). I guess the reference was lost there. My bad. Although... it was still pretty accurate, it seems, and I don't shy away from being condescending and smug. Luckly, how insufferable I am or act doesn't change the content of my argument or yours, and what you _actually said_ didn't magically become an accurate depiction of reality, now or back then, just because sometimes I am rude.
That moment @2:15 when Mark did that spot on impression of Sir Alec Guiness' voice, I fanned out and said: "Holy crap! This is the origins of him becoming a voice actor! From Obi-Wan then, to the Joker now!"
Find me a single story as compelling as this... Told by anyone from the cast or crew from any Star Wars film or television series made after the first three films. Those were real films made by real people with real love. TIMELESS
He’s very skilled in animation and voice acting, he was cast as the Joker in the animated Batman series and as Fire Lord Ozai in Avatar the Last Airbender
As Mark gets older, his joker voice starts to take over.
Ken H as Mark gets older, The Joker starts to take over him.
Ken H as the joker gets older his ability to pretend to be mark fades

He's more animation now than man...twisted and evil...
Today, he has become the Joker.
"He once gave Mark $20 to go away" Carrie Fisher on Sir Alec

I can see why lol. He probably annoyed the hell out of him😂 mark was a different person before he got in a car crash after the first Star Wars. He was pretty hyper and pubescent. the only time we ever really see his personality like this is in a new hope.
And Mark took that $20
@@Sephiroth144 back then Hamill was a relative pauper, and $20 then was a lot more money than it is today.

"You can close your eyes and walk for a mile in any direction and not fall down." is a really underrated phrase.

Thanks for the information. Much appreciated.
Time Bandits movie. Scared the hell out of me as a kid. Im 52 now.
NOOOOOO!! I loved Jack in Time Bandits, and always wondered why he didn't do more stuff after the 80's. I didn't realize this is who Mark was talking about, and that that's what happened to him! Sad now. =(
Thanks for that!
No actually, he is quite a resentful person. He also shouldn't be anywhere near children.
That's what he was told about the casting. he couldn't believe he was actually the lead, and they had to explain those qualities he has that shine through so well. They wanted a pure, believable lad to be the archetypal hero.
Luke is a whiner lol

Ryan Stube I gotta agree, he did a very good impersonation of Sir Alec Guinness
It got better with age too!
He's amazing at impressions

I think one of my favorite things about watching Mark's old interviews is that it's wonderful to see how he has not changed fundamentally as such a wonderful and charming human being.
Back then before the internet, people knew how to interact with other humans.
@@LordSathar There were a lot of jerks back then, too. Don't make out like everyone was as kind or respectful as Mark is. He may not be one of a kind, but he's a special guy.

Not saying late night show hosts are bad these days, but Johnny literally just sat back and let Mark just tell his hilarious story
yea, I mean it was prolly commercial break or something like that.
I agree. Johnny seemed distracted and unimpressed. Wonder if it was because of a rush to get in the commercial break like Luke said, or if he had an issue with Mark or was just underwhelmed with Star Wars in general, though I don't recall hearing about any problems.
PROLLY!!!?!!??!!?!?!?!? WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT!?
Carson was actually pretty good about letting people talk through. More likely the time for a commercial break was upon him and he needed to let Hamill get in a plug for the sequel, and/or whatever that white board he was about to hold up was requiring airtime. I agree this seemed abrupt but it is unusual.
Yeah, I like my hosts to add absolutely nothing to show and it just being celebrities talking for an hour
Doesn't matter if it's 1979 or 2017, Mark Hamill is just the best storyteller
But who's the best storyteller in the years that aren't 1979 or 2017?

I got some great ideas if they do a sequel What if we do a shocking twist since Luke never got to know his father what if Darth Vader was actually Lukes father no one would expect that and it would be a big question if he really is.

Listening to Mark tell the story, and doing Sir Alec Guinness voice, we see how much he was underrated as a talented actor and a great person. His voice work is top-notch... and he's still married to his wife after 40+ years. No cheating, not a drug addict, no red flag. A swell guy... Luke Skywalker in real life.
I have never seen this interview before and when he did the voice for Alec Guinness I thought it sounded so much like Ewen McGregor as Obi Wan.

Nice to hear I know Sir Alec hated the idea this was all people remembered after Laurence of Arabia and a very serious career. So good to see the humor of the old man
Sean dineen999 Ha me too!
Apparently, although he thought the films were silly, he was very professional and a lovely person on set.
A few commas would make that readable without falling down.
I'm surprised that people are surprised by this from the man who co-starred in Murder by Death along with some earlier British comedic movies!

Never would have thought Sir Alec Guinness would play a prank on someone.
The joke certainly played to his personality, which made it even better.
I just saw a 2020 interview with Mark telling a story and now this. Wow. So much charisma 🥰 He hasn’t changed.
Wow, Mark's Alec Guinness impression is great!

But he wasn't there to talk trivia, "I'm here to paint you *word pictures* about my time there."
And his love for the fans is amazing. He doesn't know Star Wars lore but he is a huge nerd himself so he understands the fans love for Star Wars and does his best for them.

wait, a sequel to Star Wars? get outta town!
Dude, that's so crazy! i've heard that weird vader guy will be in it too. Do you think he will have a bigger role?
Ah, the 1970's...I used to have a scarf back then. There's a total of 7 official Star Wars movies, excluding the Disney ones.

"You're going to do a sequel, I understand?" How 8 and counting

As shit as it is, it’s still technically in the Star Wars universe.

There are 6 Star Wars movies. Then there's a bunch of side projects, TV specials, cartoons, and fan-fiction, but none of that really counts.
Huh? I’m pretty sure George Lucas only made six Star Wars movies. That Mandalorian show is pretty cool though.

I can’t tell what is more enjoyable, Mark Hamhill’s story or how much he enjoys story-telling. God love him.
I think I might be a little mad too if I had played such legendary characters and only remembered for one of them
Shannon Reynolds He's not only remembered for that
Really liked him in Bridge over River Kwai.
Claudia Bailey: true, but it can be argued that it has come to be so only after this frustration of his, which Shannon Reynolds refers to, became well known much thanks to the Internet.
I still hear this erroneous assumption that he hated Star Wars _an_ _sich_ quite a lot, and learned the truth myself (that he actually liked the tone of the film and considered it a chivalric romance of sorts - a refreshing change in the time when Hollywood movies had picked up a rather grime tone) only a year or so - after viewing some of his interviews here in TH-cam.
th-cam.com/video/dhkrvs_b860/w-d-xo.html
Shannon Reynolds he hated it because it was low budget and he thought people wouldn't see it (the first one atleast) and the others he just felt like he shouldn't be there, the story didn't need him anymore ... he did an interview regarding that at one point
Edit: or maybe that was Harrison Ford... guess there's a few actors that didn't like being being in Star Wars lol
Hey, Johnny Carson mentions they were working on a sequel! I wonder how that turned out?
I don't think it's going to pan out.
A sequel? To that? Nah, will never work. I heard they got Larry Kasdan on it, real hack.
Will never make it, no one in their right mind would pay to see that. The first one bombed anyway. E.T.'s sequel on the other hand...

God i love the way Mark tells a story there's such a warmth and charm to his voice and he knows how to deliver a good joke :)
Mark Hamill literally made his words flow without him saying "like" "i was like" "he or she was like" "I was like oh"
This made me want to practice my own speech as fluently
It wasn't so common a thing back then. When I was a kid in the 90s, I was given shit for doing that myself. And this was long before then.
Omg this is like literally #facts
My comment was that it's extremely unusual to see Mark flustered or hesitate over words and he did little bits of both here. It's also a reminder of what he looked like before his accident
The phrase I dislike today is, “You know” We were talking, Ya know, I was driving, Ya know, The day started, ya know, like any other day. When they don’t have a script, many of today’s actors are limited, ya know.

Mark Hamil is a great story-teller and Johnny Carson is a great listener. Mark's story was hilarious!
Its so nice to just hear someone tell a story on TV without being interrupted by the host every 10 seconds.
I never realized what a good story teller Mark is. I mean really this is such a simple moment but he stretched it out into a great 3 and a half minute segment.
That's because there was no Internet in the 70s. Now we know.
Such a good story teller. He’s the coolest guy ever. My hero
remember when you could say midget on national tv? and the host wouldn't interrupt he's guest every second thinking he's funny? good ol' times.

I can understand not wanting the host to interrupt the guest, but the term "midget" is a bit offensive.

I can't help but be enthralled by Mark.
Absolutely amazing levels of charisma.
Mark is a good storyteller, I feel like he would’ve been a good writer for the new Star Wars movies.
He certainly understood characters motives, directions and development far better than the soulless suits at Disney.
Come to think of it, even Jar Jar Binks got more character development in the prequals that most characters in the Disney sequels.
he's a better story teller than lucas!
Hunter Powers It's like pottery.
Do you mean...poetry?
Mark Hamill's stories aren't dense enough.

Without Lucas, Hamill wouldn't had be there. People are so ungrateful and do not realize that Gorge Lukas brought an amazing world to our life.
Love it how he casually mentions a sequel to Star Wars at the end of the interview as no one knew it would live on to be possibly the best film of all time
I love the offhand remark at the end, “there’s a sequel to it, I understand... Star Wars... yeah...”
Star Wars II: The Sequel
It's funny how he yaps on and on but nobody complains because the way he tells stories is totally captivating
"You're going to do the sequel too, I understand." Cut to 40 years later...

It's funny to watch reruns of Johnny Carson. There are so many times stories like this just go on and on, like they lead nowhere. Same was when Johnny would do sketches, they lasted WAAAAAY too long by today's standards. People had far more patience back then.

That was a truly awesome tale.
Fantastic! Never heard or seen this before, and just randomly stumbled upon it. Mark Hamill, Sir Alec Guiness, Jack the dwarf - legends!
I took a step back when he said "midgets ", but then I realized it was a time when everyone was not easily offended....
Vince Kozlowski Jr
Yeah, except for, you know, "midgets."
Offense had nothing to do with it. It was the standard term at the time. "Little person" did not begin to become the preferred term until at least a decade later.
Midgets midgets midgets midgets midgets midgets midgets midgets midgets midgets miiidgets
You know, when a group of people make it clear they would prefer to be called by a certain term, maybe that ought to be respected, because maybe they have more of a right to define themselves than I do.
I can't so much as drink a damn glass of water around a midget or a piece of antique furniture.
If only there were smartphones to have recorded that prank lol
The Hh I would prefer mark tell the story 100 times over. I'd feel awful because people would only see the video.
Gabarge Person
Amazing.
Garbage Person
The point is, that time travel was obviously hyperbole.
That moment @2:15 when Mark did that spot on impression of Sir Alec Guiness' voice, I fanned out and said:
"Holy crap! This is the origins of him becoming a voice actor! From Obi-Wan then, to the Joker now!"
My favorite Hamill role is, no joke, Todd Wanio in the World War Z audiobook.
"Waist high Don Rickles" was hilarious 😂
Guinness is a legend with a legendary name and to recall that story and to tell it so very well is legendary also.
2:00 I love how he's doing the thing Ben does after the r2 message ends, implying that that was one of Guinness's legit mannerisms
Find me a single story as compelling as this... Told by anyone from the cast or crew from any Star Wars film or television series made after the first three films. Those were real films made by real people with real love. TIMELESS
I really don't understand how Mark Hamill literally never had any other good roles. He seems so talented
He’s done a lot of voice acting.
He’s very skilled in animation and voice acting, he was cast as the Joker in the animated Batman series and as Fire Lord Ozai in Avatar the Last Airbender
Pretty sure he partied a lot after Star Wars lol. Ever heard of wing commander?
@@matthewosterman9030 Wing Commander is where Mark made his fortune.
Corvette Summer
Wow! How about that bombshell at the end? That there's gonna be a sequel to Star Wars!!! I can't wait....
Mark is such a great story teller, and so well-spoken. I’d love to have a cup of coffee with him. Imagine the stories!
