I've been using the Omnilux for a year and a half and I see great results. Mostly with my skin tone and healing irritation (also have mild rosacea) and acne pigmentation that I get every so often. Hard not to feel like they're designed to fail just after warranty coverage expires as a ploy to encourage repeat purchases due to the weak wiring connection point between mask and cable. I wonder if yours started flickering when you moved it before giving out entirely? I've seen other complaints of people's masks failing right around the two year mark, and if you're one of the unlucky ones for whom it's just a few days more than 2 years, the company won't make an exception and stand by its product. @@lelekhaing4135 I'm totally not a doctor, but I wouldn't worry about that. I used my mask and now use my panel with just my eyes closed for years without any problems, because I initially searched for and found articles about how red light can actually help with eye degeneration ... would love to hear Dr. Sam weigh in on this!
You answered my question about melasma, thank you! Great video!! 🔴🙎♀️ So happy I found your channel. I'm 46 and never took care of my skin until I found you!!
I just got the Omnilux mask yesterday, so I’ve used it twice so far. I’m excited to see what kind of results I can get. Instead of investing in the next mask, I decided just to do a second session and position it on my neck and chest. I know it’s not perfect like the neck/chest mask, but what can it hurt to try to get a two for one with one mask since it’s already so expensive.
I just received my Omnilux and did my first treatment today. I have had in office IPL and BBL light treatments with excellent results. The Omnilux costs less than one of those treatments.
I have the Omnilux mask and use it almost every morning with the Maysama serum it’s a good combo, there’s research on it as well. I also place it long ways under my chin and 11:54 covers my chest for that session (if u don’t want to buy the other neck piece). I get so many compliments on my skin, have rosecea between eyes and chin and helps stay at bay. I’m 57 and very happy w this BUT you have to be consistent and it’s work wonders! Awesome review Dr!
That study was based on one participant and his own observations of his skin. There have not been any randomized, placebo-controlled, double-blinded studies with significant populations. I just keep noticing that everyone is referencing the science of LED and green tea, and there really isn’t any “science”. Now, LED alone is abundantly-studied.
I’ve done a lot of research into red and near-infrared therapy and have drawn the conclusion that (without portability being a consideration) you’re better off buying a high quality panel if you can afford it. The reason I say this is that you get better irradiance for your money, plus you can use the device all over your body and reap those benefits. Much better bang for your bucks
Yes! I purchased a cheaper model just to see what I thought of it and I love what it is doing for my skin. It has calmed down my senstivities and helped draw out some stubborn black heads. If I continue to see positive changes, I will invest in a better mask. I use this one for 15 minutes of red light and 5 minutes of blue. I love it.
This is what I did, I got the Yofuly mask on Amazon and it’s definitely working enough that I haven’t felt the need to upgrade. It’s great for after microneedling, my skin bounces back so much faster.
I have been wondering about an at home device (I use the red light therapy booth at the gym) and LOVE that you did this review - thank you! I also SO appreciate everyone’s comments in their experience - so helpful!!
You look great and youthful! How long have you been using this device? I recently purchased a full body red light/inferred light. Gradually, I am seeing results with wrinkles, sleep, and wound healing.
I initially purchased a cheaper mask with several color options. I used the red light and blue light and saw great results, so I upgraded to the Omnilux (which I can travel with). I got their CLEAR mask (w/red and blue light) but I had major melasma issues! This wasn’t an issue on the other mask (not sure if that’s because it was not as strong in terms of nanometers or what….). I exchanged it for Omnilux’s standard mask and have been very happy.
@@impermanent-being that is what confused me. Blue light did nothing with hyper-pigmentation with mask #1. That mask brought great Red Light results. However, the Omnilux blue light made hyper pigmentation so much worse. I switched to the regular Omnilux and have been very happy.
I recently purchased the Dermalux Flex MD and I LOVE it. It's not a mask, you have to put your face inside a dome for 30 min, so it's not super convenient, but I feel great after using it.
I was worried about this too because I have hyperpigmentation and rosacea. The masks sits so close to the face, I was concerned about the heat and making the spots worse. Not too mention they are so expensive. I went with the Wolznek Red Light bulb that I got on Amazon which is without Near Infrared (NIR) it’s been working out great! I also purchased a desk clamp so I can put the bulb into it. I hope this helps! Good luck 🥰
Question: I’ve had an Omnilux mask for a year now. How long will the LED lights last? Is there a time line or way to check to see if it’s time to replace the mask?
I’ve had my Omnlux mask for almost 2 years and it just died. I got on the website and filed a warranty claim. They answered right away and my new mask is coming in the mail. Great customer service but I also was just under the two year warranty- can’t speak to problems after warranty runs out. Hopefully the next mask will last longer than 2 years!
@@susanmarino2883 thank you for the information! I also wonder if the bulbs lose power over time. Do they just go out or do they “fade” so they are not as powerful.
I've had my Omnilux since March. I use it every other day. Wow! It has done wonders for my skin! I also have rosacea. The mask has def helped with my barrier as well. Best investment ever!
Thank you for making this video! I’ve done the research myself, but now that it has the Dr. Sam stamp of approval I feel confident taking the plunge and investing in my skin!
I actually ended up taking the plunge with the Dermalux Flex MD 6 months ago and I’m really glad I did. I already have great skin and I’m young so I’m trying to keep what I’ve got, but I’ve noticed an increase in radiance and better management of my rosacea as well. I also kind of love that it forces me take 30 mins to lay down and unplug since I have a hard time letting myself take breaks in general and doing a Dermalux session always feels like a productive break.
Thank you so much for the review. Lots of good information. I have been using the Omnilux face mask for over a year. I am 58. I am asked all the time what is my anti-aging routine. This mask and a Vit A (I use differin) are essential. Always moisturizing, but Vi C, an alpha hydroxy acid and NEVER going to bed without washing your face are most.
I first had red light treatment for wound healing in a medical office after permanent eyeliner. I had to have a large portion of the lower left tarsal excised and reconstructed with the interior of the upper tarsal, due to basal cell carcinoma, and lost 3/4 of my lower eyelashes. The oculoplastic surgeon recommended I have permanent eyeliner done at a medical spa, and when they used the red light, I could almost feel the wound healing (yes, I know that sounds like hyperbole, but I've had the perm eyeliner for many years before without it and the red light was a game changer in the healing process). That is what sold me on red light therapy for healing skin issues. (my YT photo shows my left eye after the surgery and 2 additional cauterization procedures of the lower lid if you're curious) Thanks for taking the time to film and edit a thorough review of this product. I purchased the CellumaPRO last year ($$$) and rarely use it because of the impracticality of it. You are so right to recommend portable devices with eyes that can allow you do other tasks during the treatment period.
I just recently purchased the same and am having a bit of buyer's remorse, but hoping maybe I'll feel differently after using it for awhile. I liked the idea of the panel for flexibility and thought my teens would use the acne setting, but they don't like it (say it makes them feel nauseated) so I'm the only one using it. The PRO is big and hard to tuck under my head to use, but I'm trying to get used to it. I honestly don't mind the 30 minute period and like that it covers my eyes, but I could have gotten the smaller one and been fine. Oh well...
I bought & love the omnilux for face. It was an investment but I love it. I also use it on my neck and chest as the second piece would have made it a lot more expensive. I am wondering what your thoughts are on the nuface current device? I recently saw a review by 2 dermatologists who said not to waste your money . I love that we have professionals giving us the real truth . Thank you.
Based on how thorough you are with your research I’m going with your suggestion as I have been looking into this for probably over a year and the fact that you were so thorough was all I needed to be convinced so thank you for this great video.
Hey there! Just wanted to share my personal experience with red light therapy. I've been using a panel from Future Form Official, a company based in Norway, and let me tell you, it's been incredible for my skin. So grateful for finding something that actually works. Thanks for all the informative videos and recommendations, they've been a lifesaver! 🙌
Red light therapy is truly a game-changer for flawless skin! Thanks for sharing these amazing skin benefits and highlighting the at-home hack that's revolutionizing skincare routines
I have been using a current body led mask for face and neck for a few months. The investment was worth it, my skin looks better overall, I have also been quite consistent with my skincare so perhaps not all is due to the mask. However, I am sure it has had a good impact and will continue to use it.
I’m a licensed esthetician and I absolutely love LED light therapy😍 most if not all of my clients have seen results using it. I use the the HydrafacialxLightstim one in my treatment room, but you’ve just convinced me to buy the Omnilux for myself at home 😅
I have been thinking about buying this for quite some time and just can’t pull the trigger yet! Glad to hear you approve of the omnilux device! Thanks as always!😊
I had a mask, not omnilux and recently purchased a Mito red panel. The panels are definitely much brighter light and can be used on any part of the body.
I have been using 360beluxe face and neck mask, and I can tell the results are spectacular, I even recommend to my friends and family, everyone should enjoy about the benefits of the light therapy at home !! I use it at night all days..
After years of experimenting with anti aging products, I have come to the conclusion that only a few products really help. These are a red light mask (pay attention to the right frequencies), the NuFace and skin products with good, natural ingredients.
We purchased the irestore hair device after watching one of your videos and my husband has already started seeing an improvement. I have a question regarding nail lamps that are used for curing gel nail polish 💅 (such as shellac for example) is it harmful if you have your nails done regularly? Why doesn’t anybody talk about this? 🤔
I’ve had mine for 2 years and definitely noticed a difference in my skin texture & redness. My question is how do you clean it? Would also love to know your thoughts on the Omnilux vs Dr Dennis Gross version. Love your channel!
I just received mine a few days ago and haven’t started to use it yet. I’m really happy that you posted this video, it validates my decision, I hesitated for a long time whether to buy it. Thanks!😊
I had just purchased the Omnilux mask and have just started using it. I am much older and get pigmentation Marie’s on my face and creams do not seem to work. It was nice to hear from a professional that I made the right choice in home devices.
Yes I would consider using this therapy. I'm 75 and have pretty decent skin for my age as far as wrinkles go but what I miss the most is the even skin tone of my youth. Around 40 I got Rosacea and started using foundation that before I'd only used on special occasions. I would much prefer to use something like this that is actually causing your body to heal from the inside out than lotions and potions that who knows if they are really working.
Also!! Would love to see a video where you do your own basic morning and nighttime skincare routine for the day :) I know youve posted a lot of specific routines, but more of a personal morning/evening what you do every day!
After research, I purchased the same Omnilux mask, several months ago. To be honest, I have not seen a difference, but I have not been very diligent in my usage. I will use it regularly going forward, and see if it improves anything. Maybe I am too old lol.
I'm 80 and look in my 60's. Been using the Omnilux mask for about 18 months. I am a healthy eater. get lots of exercise and plenty of sleep....my Oura ring proves it. You're never too old...Lol.
I am 65 years old & diligent. Followed the instructions of 5 x a week for 6 weeks. Now I’m doing 3x a week. Ended up with very dry skin. So I reduced my tretinoin, that I’ve been doing for 10 years from 5x a week to 3x a week due to peeling. Still too drying. Reduced the strength from 0.05 to 0.025. Less peeling. I’d rather give up the Omnilux than my tretinoin. I’ve seen no improvement.
Great video! For about a year, I’ve been using & loving the results from my Omnilux for face. So much that I’m thinking about buying the Omnilux for neck next.
I have a Mito Red Light Panel with NIR that I use for my rosacea and love it because it covers my face, neck, chest, arms, and hands as well. A treatment time for each area is 10 min so for me to treat all areas takes 30 min but if I only wanted to cover my face it would only take 10 min because of the intensity of the light. I have one of the smallest panels which is the reason it takes 30 min to treat all the areas I do. It has been wonderful for my rosacea in combination with some topical serums. I also found that green light therapy was very soothing to my skin when it was at its most inflamed but have not needed to use that in more than a year. The rejuvenation changes in my skin has been striking with increased firmness, smoothness, decreased pigmentation from sun damage.
Hello! I have a Mito bulb and I'm hesitant to use it because I hear it could agravate melasma. But I have rosacea and would like to try it for that. Are you still happy with the results?
@@anapatrao6092 Yes, very much so. I don't have melasma so I don't have to worry about that. I think there were some reports that if you turned off the NIR bulbs and just used the red bulbs that would prevent it from aggravating the melasma.
First of all thank you for your video, I just started doing laser treatments to address my rosacea and I’ve been considering buying a led mask to use on a regular basis as maintenance. Your video helped convince me to try this option since, although expensive, it maybe less in the long run than having to continuously go back for rounds of lasers every 4-6 months. Here are some questions or topics I would like you to talk about if you have the chance: 1. I would love it if you could do a comparison of various brands to know which one is the most effective at various price points. 2. I was also wondering if you recommend using the mask in the summer months since it is not recommended for lasers. 3. Finally I would love to know the maintenance and longevity of the led masks. Can we replace the bulbs or when they burn we have to toss the whole device? Could it stop being effective after a few years because it would loose it’s intensity? Thanks and keep up the great content!
How does the Omnilux red light feel on your eyes? Is it comfortable? How bright? Does it have an warming effect? I have a red light device bought several years ago - the light is too bright even with sunglasses/ goggles so never basically use it on my face.
12:02 I bought the Mito red light panel. It’s heavy and not easy to move around but gets my face and neck. I’ve been using it since October for 10 min every other day and I feel like my skin feels better and looks better. I would love a mask for convenience and to travel with.
I’ve been on the fence about red light therapy but you fully answered all my questions. I’m definitely going with Omnilux as I have previously looked at a bunch of other brands and Omnilux sets itself apart just by the sheer amount of information they give you.
Yes, I have the Omnilux for my neck and décolleté. I don't notice any benefit to my neck. I love what it's done for the décolleté tho. I have solar elastosis on my upper chest area and, since I started using the device, I've seen great improvement. I'm also super consistent in how I treat my upper chest now. Whatever I put on my face (e.g., retinol product, serums, sunscreen, etc.) goes onto my décolleté as well.
Love the idea of LED light therapy but recently heard about growths developing on the skin while being exposed to the lights of those devices. Now I’m a little hesitant to use it… Any advice? Thanks a lot in advance☺️
I was so happy to see this - I need a red light mask but I’ve no idea where to start when choosing one. I’ll just copy you and I can’t go wrong. I’m hoping they are hundreds not thousands
Thank you for this. I bought one for xmas. I'm so happy to have you review and recommend my purchase. I trust your opinion and feel so much better for the $$ that i spent on it.
I do have both of these red light items and I love them! I started with the face and then added the neck and you are right they do cost some dollars but you don’t have to leave home to use them and I love that. So glad these are the ones you recommended since I have them both.
Thank you for all your great information! Sorry if this is a silly question… how does this light therapy differ from hair regrowth light therapy? I’m wondering if it can also be used in the scalp
Thank you for this. I bought the Current Body and their «neck & deck» a week ago, and I have used it every day for 5 days straight now. It has the same specs as the Omnilux. I am so excited to see what it can do for my mature skin. So glad I found your video. Gives me hope when people comment that they have visible results from LED treatment.
I have the omnilux trio and very happy w the results I see. Do you know anything about the larger red light at home therapies that are attached to a board for full body use? I’m wondering how they compare and if it would be worth adding on to my routine. BTW I have no skin issues. This is strictly regarding anti aging and good health practices. Thanks in advance!
I’ve had my Omnilux for almost a year now and love it! I am 29 and don’t have many signs of aging yet (🙌🏼) but I do find this helps my skin look healthier and glowier than without using it. I did a good bit of research before purchasing a red light mask, glad to know I picked right!
29! I didn’t have “signs of aging” til 50. So you’re giving credit to a machine that you don’t even need. You look great cause you’re young. Enjoy that beauty and don’t waste your time dwelling on imaginary “imperfections “. In your 60s you’ll look at photos of yourself at 29 and be shocked at how beautiful you were and shocked that you ever criticized yourself.
@@missmayflowerThere’s nothing wrong with using skincare equipment like LED masks as preventative measures against skin aging. An ounce of prevention is worth more than a pound of cure. It’s much harder to undo signs of aging and skin damage than it is to make an effort to curb those changes to begin with.
I currently use the Omnilux face device and love it! Now I’m thinking of purchasing the neck and chest device. Is there any danger to the thyroid from this light therapy?
Thanks Dr. Ellis….I’m liking your content more and more. PLEASE don’t ever go down the road of “sponsorship” or start touting your own products. There are too few unbiased, trustworthy influencers left anymore.
I have the omnilux mask and have been using for two years. I have to say my spots are gone and my rosacea is gone as well. I use at least 5 x a week for a total of 20 minutes per session. 👍🏼
I would definitely like to see a comparison video. I first heard of red light therapy for skincare. But then saw that it could help with pain in different body parts. I've since found out about other lights such as blue, green and purple. I've seen more info on red and blue than the other colors. But I some how came across a video years ago by some professors at a college in Arizona that used green light therapy for migraine sufferers and since I previously dealt with what I thought were migraines but have since learned is TMJD I watched those videos as well. I'd like to know will there be devices that have purple LED as well as green? Or is there not enough scientific evidence showing that those colors are effective?
I have the Inferno from EMR, BEST $1,000 I've ever spent! It does my neck, chest, legs, and all of that gets wrinkles too!! It also helps with soreness after the gym.
Red light therapy has worked for really evening out my skin tone. It’s what’s worked most out of all the devices I own. I’m curious as to what you think about at home microcurrent devices like the NuFace. Some people swear by them others say it’s very temporary and don’t really provide long term results.. it’d be great to hear your opinion 🙏🏼🙏🏼
That’s my question as well: is micro current device worth it? I’ve heard scientific data behind it is not convincing enough, and not much of it actually exists
i would love a video comparing different red light therapy devices!

My Omnilux mask stopped working just over a month outside the 2 year warranty, and when I asked their customer service if they might still help me they said "nope, just buy a new one". This really seems to be a defect in the product. If you're not rich enough to rebuy every two years, I'd steer clear of Omnilux and maybe try a different brand or a panel device instead.
@@dianejaneclaytonI definitely want to try out the panel one because with the masks I am afraid of the light potentially damaging my eyes
So happy I found your channel. I'm 46 and never took care of my skin until I found you!!
Check out information about blue vs red light impact on melasma. Blue seems to be a culprit if you have those concerns
What did she say about Melasma?
I just got the Omnilux mask yesterday, so I’ve used it twice so far. I’m excited to see what kind of results I can get. Instead of investing in the next mask, I decided just to do a second session and position it on my neck and chest. I know it’s not perfect like the neck/chest mask, but what can it hurt to try to get a two for one with one mask since it’s already so expensive.
I am going to try this too for my neck and chest!! Have you seen any improvements?
Yes, please let us know if it was effective :)
Smart.
Brilliant,Hot Thang,U are!!!
How has it worked on the neck and chest after several months?
Don’t forget to use it in your 🙌🏼 hands 🩵
I do the same thing with the omnilux to target my neck/chest!
I do that too😂
That study was based on one participant and his own observations of his skin. There have not been any randomized, placebo-controlled, double-blinded studies with significant populations. I just keep noticing that everyone is referencing the science of LED and green tea, and there really isn’t any “science”. Now, LED alone is abundantly-studied.
I use on my hands as well as face and neck and chest.
@@PhenixJoe people use it so many ways, whatever works I guess. Thanks for info.
Which one you recommend? Thanks
Yeah which would you recommend?
please recommend one
PlatniumLED Biomax
I love it.
What mask do you use?
I would like to know this too Stephie please?……. 😊
Blue light can provoke pigmentation, so use it it only if u have real acne/inflammation. As it kills bacteria

Omnilux is better.
Blue light makes hyperpigmentation worse I understand.
@@impermanent-being that is what confused me. Blue light did nothing with hyper-pigmentation with mask #1. That mask brought great Red Light results. However, the Omnilux blue light made hyper pigmentation so much worse.
I switched to the regular Omnilux and have been very happy.
Hi, can I ask which was the other mask? ( the first one that was cheaper)
I recently purchased the Dermalux Flex MD and I LOVE it. It's not a mask, you have to put your face inside a dome for 30 min, so it's not super convenient, but I feel great after using it.
Yes, I am researching right now because I have melasma and I am worry about the heat. Thank you for such a explanatory video about red light👏🏼❤️
Hi! Did you use the Omnilux Clear or Omnilux Contour? One has infrared and the other has blue light. Thank you!
Thank you for this!!! Your videos are so helpful. Please do other red light mask comparisons!!!
Thank you for making this video! I’ve done the research myself, but now that it has the Dr. Sam stamp of approval I feel confident taking the plunge and investing in my skin!
Thanks for being my 'go to' for all my skincare questions! I appreciate the honest / open opinions on products.
Wow 4k...😮
I would love if you'd do a video comparing LED masks and report to us which one are the best 🙏
Can you share what's your morning and night routine? Thanks so much 🙏
I first had red light treatment for wound healing in a medical office after permanent eyeliner. (my YT photo shows my left eye after the surgery and 2 additional cauterization procedures of the lower lid if you're curious)
Thanks for taking the time to film and edit a thorough review of this product. Subscribed
Oh well...
Yes, please do a review of various red light at home LED devices
I bought & love the omnilux for face. It was an investment but I love it. I also use it on my neck and chest as the second piece would have made it a lot more expensive. I am wondering what your thoughts are on the nuface current device? I recently saw a review by 2 dermatologists who said not to waste your money . I love that we have professionals giving us the real truth . Thank you.
I would love a video comparing devices please. Seriously thinking about getting one but somewhat lost as to which one to go for.
I use the Mito Red light panel. I like that it covers more area. Thank you for sharing!
Which one do you use?
Omnilux is brilliant and comfortable too...
Same!
I had the Eco mask and I loved it so much, that I am selling it on Poshmark and waiting for my Omnilux to arrive!
Yes please do a video about other options like handheld and panels. Thank you for asking 😊
I had a mask, not omnilux and recently purchased a Mito red panel. The panels are definitely much brighter light and can be used on any part of the body.
I would love to see more affordable options discussed. Thank you for this video!
sadly, the more affordable ones are usually very gimmicky; not the correct wavelength!

I read a recent study that concluded the UV nail dryers do damage DNA in the skin. So make sure you are using an LED nail dryer, which does not.
There is a lot of fuss regarding facial fat loss caused by these devices. What is your opinion on this ?
Same question. No extra fat on my bony face. She won't know though.
I’ve had mine for 2 years and definitely noticed a difference in my skin texture & redness. My question is how do you clean it? Would also love to know your thoughts on the Omnilux vs Dr Dennis Gross version. Love your channel!
They said you can clean it with baby wipes. I just got mine and after each use I wipes it down with a damp tissue and a drop of mild hand soap.
Thank you!!
@@debrany1015baby wipes would leave a residue which would impede the light from reaching your skin properly.

Yes please do a comparative show of the red light apparatus’s.
Would love to see this compared to the Dr. Dennis Gross mask, as I’m stuck between the two and not sure which one to purchase

Would red light therapy affect my thyroid? I have Hashimoto and currently pregnant. Love your videos. Always looking forward to them !
Thank you! I have Hashimotos too! I’m not concerned because we wouldn’t expect the depth of light penetration to reach the level of the thyroid.
@@DrSamElliswhat about NIR?
Great video! For about a year, I’ve been using & loving the results from my Omnilux for face. So much that I’m thinking about buying the Omnilux for neck next.
Me too. I’m probably getting my neck one within a month or so. I love it!
Is there a best time to buy (ie, Black Friday, special codes from anyone?) or is the cost fairly constant?
I am looking into the various models/types ….and would like to purchase in the next 30 days. I have already made the decision to purchase.
Which one did you purchased?
I also use red light therapy and use the time for prayer and meditation.. ❤
Here are some questions or topics I would like you to talk about if you have the chance:
A comparison that also includes the full panels like dermalux and celluma would be great.
Are there any products or ingredients you CAN use before light therapy, or is it always best to use it on dry skin?
A green tea serum is beneficial with red light therapy. I use K Beauty green tea serums, so cheap and good.
I use the Omnilux mask and it’s brilliant. I travel a lot too and it comes with me everywhere....
Finally took the plunge & bought it using your code. 👍🏼 I had been 👀 it for way too long.
Love the idea of LED light therapy but recently heard about growths developing on the skin while being exposed to the lights of those devices.
Now I’m a little hesitant to use it…
Any advice?
