Hi Dr. Ellis! I would love if you could do a video on options for drooping eyelids/excess eyelid skin, including your thoughts on brow lifts and blepharoplasty vs lasers and topical treatments, etc. My eyelids really bother me but I feel too young to have plastic surgery right now (maybe ever), but I honestly really doubt any other option would give significant and lasting results. I’m the type of person who would choose to either do nothing or do the expensive definitely effective option rather than waste time and money on in between options that would barely make a difference, if it makes a difference at all, so would love your opinion!
Look up the Fotona laser SmoothEye procedure. It's an erbium laser treatment for skin tightening. I've had it done and while it's not comfortable during the procedure, the results were very natural looking instead of the tight blepharoplasty appearance.
NeoGen Plasma paired with SkinMedica TNS Advanced+ Serum has been awesome for my eyes! I've been quite persistent with it, doing NeoGen every few months or so. I think my longest break between treatments was like 6 months. You may be able to go longer because it can take time for collagen to build, but I would wait at least 3 months between sessions. I go for high energy rather than low for the biggest bang for my buck. Getting enough sleep regularly also makes a noticeable difference.
I did Fotona 4D laser around my eyes last year for fine lines and wrinkles and wow. It felt like tiny cigarette butts being put out on my skin over and over. About 8 passes total so I was sweating by the end. Results looked good though!
Fotona isn't talked about much. My laser technician speaks very highly of Fotona because it's so versatile. I have my first treatment for under eyes next month!
Your videos are the best on this platform. There is another cosmetic derm on here that shares many anti aging treatments, but she talks so fast and uses medical terminology that I have a harder time following. Thank you for educating us in a way we understand and is straightforward!

I had Mohs surgery (2019) on my nose that left me looking like a clown, or a drunk, with a bright red nose, for years. Last spring, 2024, I found a new dermatologist who treated my nose with V-Beam. It has been a miracle! Three treatments did the trick. The cost was $500/treatment, in W. central Florida.
I had a Halo treatment 6 weeks ago and I can’t stop looking at my skin. The results are insane! While I liked the round of Moxi treatments I had a few years ago the results were subtle. This basically gave me a new face. Worth every penny! Love the channel!

I have an appointment for UltraClear in a few weeks. I’ll be doing my face and neck to address texture, wrinkles, general skin laxity, and loose skin on my neck. Derm told me only one session would be needed for results that will last two-years or longer. Quote is $2,500 for everything and I anticipate 5-days away from work. Hopefully Dr. Ellis will weigh in about UltraClear soon because it’s supposed to be a less painful, better results, less expensive alternative to Co2
It’s still a relatively new technology so doesn’t have the same track record as traditional co2 or erbium lasers. With that being said, it’s super promising so please let us know how you like your results!

Dr. Sam, I am 58 years old and I don't do Botox or fillers. I did Halo 3 years ago and nothing else. My doctor is telling me to I try Moxy this time to stimulate collage in my skin. Based on this video information I am getting the idea that Moxy is probably not going to do much for me. Should I try Halo again instead? What do you think?
I asked my dermatologist about clear and brilliant because I wanted something with minimal downtime and she suggested doing a mini fraxel instead. Do you have any thoughts on that?

I had a co2 laser above my lip and sides of mouth 3 weeks ago. It is still red. I never wore face makeup but have to every day. So annoying. It only made a small difference so far. I will have to get another in 6 weeks. Can I get a less strong laser in 6 weeks so that the redness will not last as long?

Hi Dr.Ellis, I love your thorough and really transparent videos. I'm curious about your thoughts on Potenza RF+Microneedling specifically for face 'slimming' and tightening effects in the lower face and the mid-face. I'm 45 and am starting to see emerging jowls, marionette lines and a deepening of my nasolabial folds. I've done Ultraformer (Korean form of Ultherapy), but recently had a consultation initially for Botox for my concerns. The doctor said I don't have prominent jowls nor much sagging and instead recommended Potenza. That ended up being a short story question 🤣but would be grateful for your thoughts!
Thank you, Dr. Sam, for all the precious education. Could you talk about yellowish or darker underarms? I have fair skin and dark hair and am sensitive to benzoyl peroxide. Despite showering nightly, using Salicylic wash twice a week (leave it for 5 min), hypoallergenic Almay deodorant, a weekly sulfur mask, and once a week of Glycolic acid, my underarms remain dark w/ a yellow hue. I trim instead of shaving and plan to use an IPL device at home to reduce hair density. Thank you!♥

I’ve had 5 ND yag laser treatments through my dermatologist. Does that fall under any of the categories you’ve described? Googling it is even confusing. Regardless, I’m very happy with the results
Thank you for sharing your expertise with us! The downtime of fractional laser treatments is intense, true, but so worth the results! (here in The Netherlands I pay E300 a treatment (?) at an established skincare center). Additionally I combine it with micro needling treatments (in a 2:2 ratio with laser) as it gives me the feeling of a 'holistic' approach to anti-aging in office treatments. Works very well even for my super sensitive skin.

Hi Dr Ellis! I had a consult for angiomas using a laser. I want to say it was called IPL? As soon as the Dr looked at it she said oh no, we have to use electrodessication. It doesn't look much different and she told me not to pick off the scab, or it would come back. It never really had a scab. I was told by the APRN in the same office that the laser would take care of the angioma. Needless to say, I'll be going to a different office. BTW, can you recommend anyone in the Las Vegas area and what laser should I be looking for?
Huge sweller on the face with V Beam. I had to take a Medrol pack when I did it. I don't get it on my face any longer because I have diffuse redness and it doesn't work that well on this. V Beam is descent for hypertrophic surgical scars.
Do you recommend numbing cream for Clear & Brilliant? I had one done and the topical numbing cream was the worst part!! My skin was very red, splotchy and burning to the point I asked if I was having an allergic reaction. But she claimed I wasn’t.

Are each of these laser treatments safe for people with systemic lupus? Do they expose the skin to any UV rats? It would be helpful to know for each type of laser.
Hi Dr. Ellis! I have red KP on my cheeks that I'm always battling. I have done several vbeams to get it under control but after my last clear and brilliant I feel like my redness flared up again. I'm bummed because I would love to do a Fraxel a year or a couple clear and brilliants for anti aging but I don't want to undo the hard work of my Vbeams. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks!

You are SO right! There are so many factors that contribute to a great outcome. I know Sth Korea provides great skill/expertise. It's hard enough to find, even, a great local Dr/aesthetician 🤞
Thanks for your lecture mam💕💕
Very informative
Nice treatment
Is BBL good for capillaries
I'm interested
Sam, can you tell us why laser treatments are so expensive? What is it abut them that costs so much?
the machines are expensive AF
According to one derm, at least one laser device can cost $300k.
Are each of these laser treatments safe for people with systemic lupus? Do they expose the skin to any UV rats? It would be helpful to know for each type of laser.
I don't think it's a laser (honestly not sure), but what do you think of Tixel?
Hi Dr. Thanks!
I had multiple Excel V treatments before getting a Fraxel. I was so disappointed that my rosacea flared up and wouldnt go away. After 4 weeks my technician did a peel and a Genesis treatment and my skin was beautiful with the redness gone! In the right hands I think you could get amazing results
Hi! What are your thoughts on the ResurfX Laser ? Which category does it fall in.
Would you please share your views on the UltraClear Co2 cold laser?
Agreed! Also how dual Fraxel compares with halo? Stronger? Love your content!❤❤❤
I have an appointment for UltraClear in a few weeks. I’ll be doing my face and neck to address texture, wrinkles, general skin laxity, and loose skin on my neck. Derm told me only one session would be needed for results that will last two-years or longer. Quote is $2,500 for everything and I anticipate 5-days away from work
@@Susie_Pittman I had one two months ago with free touchup next week. I think I went out 4 nights later, just told friends what I had (dots!). You got a good deal, although I think by adding the decollate on, it cost more and I went for the full on laser coring, which might have been more. So far, happy with results. Plan to repeat a full one within a year. Mine was 3800. But the local market really makes a difference. Where are you located?
@@cindysmallwood2695 I’m in Southern California just outside Los Angeles. I’m hoping I understood the quote clearly and that it includes my neck. Are you on IG or some other platform where you can share before/after? Would also love to know more about the coring. I have heard about it, but not in relation to UltraClear.
@@Susie_Pittman mine charges face. More for neck. Even more for Dec. and the coring makes it even higher honeslry I don’t think in two months my iPhone pics will show the differences. But feel and see them
Really amazing
Nice video
Thank you - this was very informative. What laser is best for smoking lines? I have never smoked but have deep lines over my upper lib. Please help.
Me, too! I've never smoked in my life. My mother is 90 and has also never smoked, but has a lot of deep, vertical wrinkles over her upper lip. I think it's genetic. So, I can see what I'm probably going to look like in the future. Ugh. Evidently, they're the HARDEST wrinkles to treat and, from what I've heard, there's really not much we can do about them 😭
@@marthaj67 😭
Drinking from straws also produces “smoker lines”. Also, if you have a job that involves a lot of talking, just the formation of words causes those lines. I think that’s where mine came from.
C02 laser
I read on my skincare group-penn smith skincare-a lot of ppl find that the lasers are expensive and the results dont last esp for hyperpigmentation. Thoughts Dr Sam?
Hi is a Vascular Pulse Dye Laser is the same as V-beam laser?
Thank you!
Can you address syringoma and how you treat it? Thx
Thank you,Dr.
yay, been waiting for this!
Best laser for visible capillaries I've tried IPL with no results after several treatments.
@@DB6904. VBeam is my personal favorite for this
Good job
Hi Dr. Sam!! if I am someone who is prone to spider veins, and I am currently doing Vbeam for that… in your opinion, does The prp skinpen micro needling is a procedure that causes spider veins?
How about pico?
