Going keto did not cure my rosacea. But removing all dairy products did, which I decided to avoid after eating keto for a few months. Absolutely no rosacea symptoms at all since removing dairy. I have beautiful skin now. I was so angry that my doctors had no trouble treating rosacea, but never once, not one time, suggested it was dietary. I'm still angry about their ignorance, especially since dairy and gluten intolerances are so common.
I am suffering from rosacea symptoms myself (going on 2 years now); I've been mainly keto-carnivore for over 2 years and I have to agree with you; I think that dairy is the culprit in all this (it can't be junk food or wheat as I don't consume those foods anymore).....I'm cutting out all dairy starting tomorrow. Thanks for the post, it reinforced my "dairy" hypothesis
Hi Dr. Berry! I just want to say how much I agree with it! I have rosacea and I have found that eating less carbs, low glycemic index diet, no processed junks, and avoiding DAIRY, has greatly reduced my rosacea symptoms. Whenever I eat cheese, my redness is insane, same thing with high carb load. I also found that when I eat white rice, my skin gets very oily. Diet is a huge factor in skin diseases, and I'm disappointed that dermatologists never try to address with patients. Thank you for your videos!
1. conventional doctors are not taught about nutrition 2. they'd lose money and their jobs by telling people about nutrition 3. many people are lazy and don't want to make real change, they just want pills, etc so they can continue doing the wrong thing for their health
I agree!!!....many dermatologists on TH-cam are sayin' crap...not even mentioning gut problems...they are offering a bunch of creams.... I have rosacea for almost 20years now and guess what....no doctors could treat it with any cream....after 20years I had enough and starting to realize that if my gut is healthy, there will be no damaged skin... Thanks for the advice😊
Hi Ken..... Hello from Liverpool, England. I have been following your channel for just over a year I was 200lbs with rosacea breaking out Twice a month. I went low carb high fat, no grains or crappy oils. I have lost 45lbs and my rosacea has completely gone. I feel invigorated, I sleep better. You have helped me so much. The only downside is that I had to drop two clothes sizes and get new gear. lol 🤣🤣👍 ...... As we say in Liverpool...... Result👍. Regards ......Steve 🖖
A wonderful result of Keto... Getting a new wardrobe 😀 then you discover you never needed as many clothes as you thought or maybe that was from Covid?!😂 Nevertheless, I hope you're still doing well in Liverpool (where my DNA is from).🤍
Dr. Ken, Dr. Berg, Dr. Sten Ekberg, and Thomas Delauer are all life savers! Funny how TH-cam is getting me healthier than any doctor's office I've been to.
My friend who got me started on Keto had rosacea since his teen years, I hadn't seen him in years but when he showed up to tell me about this Keto thing I almost didn't recognize him.
I never had rosacea till I was 53. At first it wasn't too bad but it got progressively worse. People began to say things like: "Were you out in the sun too long?" Finally I went to an allergist and I had a series of tests done. Turns out that I was allergic to peanuts. It was hard to believe because I had eaten tons of peanuts my whole life and never had a problem. But I did stop eating peanuts and the rosacea disappeared. About a year later I was hiking up in Tahoe and, after a long hike, I bought a big bag of roasted peanuts and devoured them in one sitting, (I totally forgot about the allergy.) I woke up a day or two later and saw that the rosacea had returned. I have not eaten one peanut since then and the rosacea has never shown up again.
This is interesting to me. I thought I had developed it at age 62 - although doc reckoned it was seborrheic dermatitis - pustules were appearing every day and I didn't have any scaly patches, so I wasn't convinced . I thought it was my diet and one thing I had changed was that I was having peanut butter every morning on rye bread. I stopped it and it has really calmed down now, although I'm not 100% there yet.
Mine turned up when I hit 40. I gained weight. It seems to be a middle age thing. I will change my diet. I possibly may be allergic to something which I hope to find out.
If it wasn't for this video, I'd have never cured my rosacea. I don't even get regular acne anymore either! Thank you Dr. Berry, from the bottom of my heart. ❤️
I went carnivore for many reasons, and didn't realize that it was going to help my rosacea! At first I stuck with strictly carnivore, but I didn't give up a little bit of hot sauce, which I know is supposed to be a flareup trigger. I don't eat hot sauce much anymore, but since I've been carnivore my rosacea has disappeared to the point that hot sauce on occasion doesn't bother me anymore. Thanks!
I have been eating the high fat low carb diet since January, and the redness and the scaliness is almost gone! I've lost 32 pounds so far. My father has lost almost 60 and we have both lowered our blood pressure from hypertension stage 2 to well within normal ranges. This. Lifestyle. Works.
hey ,if anyone else trying to find out cured my rosacea try Mackorny Facial Miracle Blueprint ( search on google ) ? Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my co-worker got amazing success with it.
Just wonderful, been searching for "topical azelaic acid rosacea" for a while now, and I think this has helped. You ever tried - Elijahzan Ailment Solution Review - ( search on google ) ? Ive heard some interesting things about it and my cousin got excellent success with it.
Saw this video for the first time just over a year ago and I can now say in hindsight that it radically altered my life in almost every way (all for the better). Now not only is my rosacea gone, but learning about functional medicine and proper diet has changed me completely. Infinite thanks to you for putting this out there.
hello, may I ask how long it took for you to see results? its been only a week for me but my rosacea is much worse and more inflamed since starting to eat so much red meat. Thank you
@@aneta567 probably a few months. I also ate fish, pork, turkey, chicken & lots of eggs. Beef 2 or 3 times a week. Also ate a lot of salad. Cut out all sugar, starch & artificial sweetners.
I started keto about a year ago & transitioned to carnivore to get my weight under control. I had rosacea and ocular rosacea at the time I started the diet. I had no idea that keto would have a positive effect on my rosacea. The conditions greatly improved while doing keto. They completely went away about 3 months into carnivore. I lost 60 lbs in 6 months. I was on 3 blood pressure medications. Now down to 1. Skin tags gone. I can sit under a ceiling fan without my eyes burning from the ocular rosacea. I can get in the hot sun without any rosacea flare ups and actually get a tan... Dr. berry is spot on.
I also have ocular rosacea. It's one of the main reasons i decided to try carnivore. I'm in week 4 and didn't know how long to give it before i'd see a reversal. Thanks for your story!
@@siscaudle8715 I started out low carb. Went to ketovore and noticed improvement. Became carnivore. Then after about 120 days it was about a 95% or better improvement. If I get overtired from missing sleep my eyes can feel a bit of irritation. However, that doesn't happen often. Please let me know how you progress.
Thank you for this video! I am 68 with rosacea and I know in years past when I eliminated the foods you mentioned my skin was clear and looked good. The past 18 months I have had a lot of stress in my life plus eating foods not good for me and probably contributed to my rosacea! Today I am going back to watching what I eat and trying to eat more ketogenic. Thank you for the information. A year ago I went to a dermatologist and was given topical and oral meds. I’m still dealing with rosacea. I know the benefits of eating better will help my rosacea to fade away.
I have been dealing with severe rosacea for nearly 30 years. I am a 64-year-old female and have been morbidly obese most of my adult life. I've taken very dangerous medicine like Oracea and used all of the creams, lotions, gels, etc without much improvement. I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes and went on the HFLC Keto diet about a year and a half ago. My rosacea started clearing up immediately, and I am now almost free of it. I didn't know that would happen, but I am thrilled! I have lost 80 pounds and feel fantastic! My belly fat went away very quickly. I am committed to following this way of eating for the rest of my life. I'm expecting to live at least another 30 years or more. Happy dance!
Fred Weker I don’t recall for sure. I was focusing on weight loss and stopping food cravings. If I had to say most of my skin issues went away in 8 months.
I went on a Keto diet with no sugar or grains earlier this year. I’ve lost 60 lbs and feel great I just watched this video for the first time and realized that my Rosacea which I’ve had for decades is completely gone. I didn’t even notice it until now and its good to know the reason why! Thanks for the education Dr. Berry!
Yes, Keto has reversed my T2 diabetes, high blood pressure and rosacea. It is a way of life for me. I am never going back to the carbs and the sugar. I have also lost 40 pounds, with about 60 more to go. The amazing thing to me is that it is easy for me to stick to because I am satisfied and not hungry. Thank you for helping to get the word out there.

The comments section on this video and the video itself is SO helpful. I have been carnivore for 7 months and have still been including cheese. I have lost 102lbs- but my face hasn’t healed up yet completely. It looks a little better- but I had no idea cheese could be the issue.
@@lunanacho it did some. Didn’t completely eliminate the issue. I saw better results on Lion Diet in January. I wound up adding stuff back in and I know it has been counterproductive for my skin. Lion was really hard to maintain for me. Regular carnivore has been amazing and I can sustain it long term.
Yep, thought it was from the alcohol, stopped that (not because of the rosacea ) had some improvement, then went keto so I could tie my shoes and breath at the same time and whatduya know! 5 months ,forty pounds and 99% clear
Ken, thank you for this video. I, too, used to have rosacea. The more I turned to low carb, then keto, the condition just disappeared as “mysteriously” as it appeared. Thank you for de-shrouding the mystery! 👍
It’s true! Thanks to Keto I have lost the following: 40 lbs, rosacea, skin tags, thick cracked heels. Feed your body properly and it will respond. Dr. Berry, thank you for educating all of us! ❤️
Stirling, I honestly don’t know. I wasn’t really paying attention to my skin all that closely until about seven months into Keto when I saw a Dr. Berry video discussing skin benefits and I looked at my heels and they were soft and smooth!! I could not believe it as I have had bloody cracked heels at times. I had my rosacea under control using metrogel but I assume if I didn’t apply it daily my skin would stay clear. When I get lazy and eat too many carbs, skin tags pop up and are my warning to cut back on carbs.
Dr Berry, SUGGESTION: In a older video you said that Big Pharmacies and Big Medical don’t like me as I work for you, and you pointed your finger at the camera....... That was excellent and made a point....... I think that would be a perfect ending at ALL your presentations. Keep up the Great Work👍
I haven't seen my rocesea since I started Keto back in April of last year. Rocesea for me, was a bit trying because I'm a black woman and its not common among African American women.. therefore not a huge amount of studies for my skin color. I'd have to use different cremes given to me by my dermatologist over the years. Needless to say, it practically disappeared when I cut SUGAR. I haven't had a flare up in a year. ... Whoop whoop! 🗣️ Haven't even had the adult acne that would usually accompany it either!
Wow this is so interesting I've had a bad flare up recently and certain foods give me bright red hot cheeks and I get bad bright red acne breakouts with it. Id love to try this out. I've had acne for 15 years and acne rosacea for 9 years now and it's a struggle everyday. This gives me hope in reversing rosacea for good
@@soulsurfer639 i have such a similar story. I went vegan for years (pescatarian some days :)) acne calmed down when I cut gluten out and also dairy has always been a huge culprit I believe. Rosacea crap began March this year. I’ve been keto for 3 weeks today. Seen massive improvements, but still not fully healed. Praying soon. My skin is still so sensitive and is irritated by touch easily as well as some foods. Pumpkin seeds sadly seem to really affect my skin. I’ve been eating keto/carnivore. Intermittent fasting daily, and just completed a 40 hour water fast. Going to aim for a 72 hour beef bone broth and water fast next. Got my ketones to 4.7 with the water fast! How are you doing? Praying you’ve fully won the battle by now? Would love to hear an update from you.
@@janelonshall9228 Hey Jane, I've been Keto for about a few months and my rosacea has improved a lot. The keto diet is definitely helping but wearing any kind of mask seems to trigger the redness 😒
Happy to hear people getting rid of their problems on keto! How long did it take for your skin, hems & ibs to improve? Do you consume dairy? I still got some of the issues you had :-(
How were you able to tell that your UC was healed? Did you have a colonoscopy? I went from keto to carnivore to heal my UC and I haven't had any flare ups for a while
I was completely surprised when my rosacea completely cleared up within 8 weeks of eating ketogenically. Had been using sulfa cleanse soap and metrogel cream for 10+ years. No more! At 53 my skin looks amazing and I am saving a fortune!
Great video Dr. Berry. I'm 45, I was diagnosed about a 2 weeks ago. It started three years ago in a really simple way, nothing to worry about (or so I thought). Just small red spots on my cheeks and temples, then the pimples and papules started, then my entire face was red and people were asking if I went to the beach or something. I went to a dermatologist, who told me I had seborrheic dermatitis. She prescribed me things that treat SB, like a compound that had alcohol in it, which is terrible for rosacea. Of course, she never said anything about about not drinking alcohol, not taking hot showers, avoiding sunlight and hot/spicy foods. So, there I am, an idiot, eating and drinking the wrong things as if nothing mattered. Needless to say, my skin got worse, it hurt, it burned, I couldn't even shave. Even resting my head on a pillow hurt. Then I went to another doctor, who told me it was rosacea after all. And then another doctor confirmed it. I lost many months as my face got worse than ever, so I hope is not too late for me because rhinophyma is a terrible faith. Advice: ask for a second and even third opinion on your condition.
This is true. I’m 25. Had horribly reactive skin and it cleared up within a few months after going on keto/low carb. It came back after some time being off keto, but when I began cutting carbs again, the redness and burning went way down! Tried experimenting with it by tracking both carb intake and redness and theres definitely a correlation. Turmeric and vitamin D also helps me.
Burning and redness on cheeks goes down as well for me when i stick to HFLC way of eating without cheating.I m also reacting to high histamine foods like bone broth and avocados.
Was just diagnosed with rosacea last week. I’ve been having skin problem for a few months now. Going to do the Keto diet starting today. I will let you guys know my progress.
I’ve had acne my whole life but an allergic reaction to a skincare product last September may have triggered rosacea and I get these weird red bumps and pustules, I need to look into this Keto diet, all the best to all of us
Great video and perfect timing for myself to have found this. Ive had redness on my face for 20 plus years and havent cared until puss bumps started appearing on my nose. I got a cream that helped with that and stopped drinking beer, that made a huge difference. Hearing what was said on this video makes sense in realtion to the beer, the sugars and the hops... duh! Now im on a mission! I cut out alcohol, now im cutting out carbs! Thanks!
So glad I listened to this and read some of these posts. I've been working on my diet and I totally relate. Milk, not just the lactose but the milk protein seems to be a killer for me, of course along with gluten and too much carbs. Right now I'm on methylprednisolone + other stuff for a really bad pulled muscle, plus going carnivore and it's definitely helping my skin to stop heading in that red direction again!!
I've had rosacea on the back of my head since at least Jr. High track, causing an extremely itchy scalp (I'm 36). It bothered me so bad I'd often scratch my head while running races. It eventually spread to my face and often-times when shaving I would shave off as much skin as hair. The only thing that seemed to help was a lot of sunlight which meant I had to keep my head buzzed down close. Even then I'd end up with an extremely irritated scalp for a few days afterwards. I traced the cause of my rosacea down to eating sunflower seeds, which I've eaten almost religiously since grade school tee-ball. It went completely away when I went strict Carnivore for a month. I had a couple hand-fulls of sunflower seeds one afternoon as a "treat" and 2 days later the rosacea came back with a vengeance. After a month it finally cleared up and, me being the experimenter, had to verify with another couple of hand-fulls. Yes, in my case, it was definitely the seeds.
Yes, this is true. I suffered with Rosacea for almost 20 years. I went through different types of topicals and eventually had to take antibiotics. It was awful. After going on a low carb-high fat diet my Rosacea cleared. I no longer need topicals or antibiotics.
All I know is my skin has improved following a keto/LC diet combined with intermittent fasting. Serious health improvements. I passed all my fat loss goals and just kept getting leaner. It is crazy how well it works.
My whole life I’ve had acne and redness and no dr. could tell me why. 2 years ago a dermatologist told me I had rosacea and put me on minocycline and I’m 99% better. After seeing your video I think I’m gonna get serious about Keto and see if I can get off the meds. Great video
K O Stradavarius - Minocycline works very well for skin conditions but like all antibiotics, it wipes out your gut bacteria which you absolutely need, resulting in a compromised immune system.
I've been following an almost keto diet (meat, veg and a little bit of sweet potato) for two weeks. Pretty amazing, my skin is rosacea-acne free. There is still a little redness and inflammation but pimples are gone.
@@soulsurfer639 bro I hv been in kito almost 2 weeks.... But don't see any vital change... Still getting flare ups every night.... Eating only eggs, veggies, dry fruits... And drinking alot of water.... But....why,this is happening to me?
I’ve had rosacea for 30 years. No more! And sure enough! Six weeks on a ketovore diet and my rosacea is gone. No more redness no breakouts and I no longer need to take daily doxycycline. How about that?!👍 Ive never been able to stop this medication before.
I have Rosacea and doing keto has really helped me! The flaring on my skin as gone down so much! I still have it but I am able to control it with what I put in my mouth! Thank you for your tips, fyi if I haven't got rid of it completely is because I have some weak moments here and there and fall off the wagon.
Yes zinc has been helping my rosacea a lot and avoiding sugars and carbs helps immensely. My sister is a natural path she told I need to take zinc everyday and it’s helping ! Thankyou Dr great content here .
I've been doing keto for 6 months to turn diabetics around but had no idea the other issues like rosacea were going to be a side benefit. It's not completely gone yet but SO MUCH better. I'm into this way of eating long enough it's a normal way of eating for me now so it's just a matter of time that I plan to be off all diabetic meds and my face won't looked like an apple.
Strict keto cleared my skin maybe 70% and then I bought a vitamin C serum, which just sucks the rest of the redness away. I hadn't seen my sister in a while, and she thought I was wearing makeup. I actually forgot how red and blotchy I used to be and that I had keto to thank for that, too!

Try employing some tactics for healing a leaky gut like more prebiotic veggies, good probiotics, high omega 3 foods like fish oils, etc, and also try more intermittent fasting. For blood pressure, I am balancing salt with potassium, and I am eating more beets, greens and celery. Also for circulation, I am exercising more, soaking my lower legs in hot epson salt baths and using professional- and self-massage around problem skin areas. Get a home blood pressure device and you will be able to see which tactics are most effective for you. Skin improvements can be visible but comparison photos will help you tract subtle changes. ❤❤❤ Best wishes!!!
Try an elimination diet too. It could just be one thing that is technically "keto" and doesn't jive with your system. Although not rosacea, I get skin problems when consuming dairy and possibly eggs (still testing eggs...).
Yes. This is all true. I had terrible rosacea for about 4 years. I wish I could attach a photo of my face to show you what it looked like. I started the Keto diet to lose weight (not to help with rosacea) and to my delight, the rosacea went away! I couldn't believe it!! If you have rosacea, try the keto diet. Trust me, you don't have anything to lose as you already feel terrible and are hiding out at home. (Like I did.) Just try it....
I was able to reduce my inflammation and rosacea by a self initiated food elimination diet, which was very time consuming but worth it. For me triggers were gluten, dairy and nuts. On a keto diet you do end up eating a lot of cheese and extra dairy in general (whey protein shakes and butter would cause big flair ups for me), as well as a lot of nut butters I was consuming. I am able to eat rice and potatoes and oats with no issues. I would advise people to not feel they have to go full keto to reduce it, it could just be one simple thing you eat daily that is causing issues with your gut. Have a food allergy test done, or start by cutting out the most common culprits in rosacea sufferers: Dairy, Wheat (gluten), Nuts, Cocoa, Coffee, Capsaicin (chilli's, spices etc) - i do agree with sugar, that is probably one of the biggest causes of inflammation, when ever I do have a sugar binge (harder when you don't eat gluten, dairy or cocoa) I notice a flair up
I don't have rosacea, but my eczema is sure gone. I went from vegetarian for 20 years, to paleo for 2 and now carnivore and since paleo, my eczema has been a thing of the past. I was at my worst for all over health during my veggie years - 20 of them. I started when I was 12 and started paleo at 32. Immediate difference and even more has changed since carnivore.
Hi Doc!! I've been on KETO over a year. I've lost a total of 67 pounds gone. I've been doing good. Until lately. I went to dinner with family and friends. Went to Mexican restaurant. I didn't stay on KETO. I had chips and salsa and bean dip. Now I'm paying for it. My chest is red and blemishes. It inches like crazy. I'm getting back on the KETO lifestyle and staying on KETO.
Hello Dr. Berry. I had been dealing with rosacea for several years, it started coming on about ten years ago and steadily progressed. I had talked to my general practice doc along with a handful of Dermatologist, all of which gave me the same standard answer which was there's was nothing I could do but put on this or that cream to help and they of course didn't really help in any way. I started to eat more as a carnivore and started dropping a whole lot of foods that were not needed and the biggest of those would be the grains in fact what made me go that way is that I had become very gluten intolerant. To my astonishment, that fixed the Rosacea issue completely. every once in awhile I get a little stupid and eat something grain heavy or have a beer and like clock work, within a couple days I'll have a flair up. So in short, dropping grains, seed oils and just the standard garbage many consider to be food made a huge impact for me.
Staying keto for life is unhealthy, it's not a magic diet. On the contrary it's an unbalanced diet people should strictly follow only to lose weight. Some people in this comment section think eating less grain, sugar and potatoes while eating more vegetables and meat means they are following keto diet 😂
I’ve been Keto for about 5 months and I’ve seen a huge improvement in my skin. I’ve also dropped 20 pounds that I didn’t need ! I just did a pantry clear out and tossed all the carb temptations, moved the seed oils to my soap making cupboard, hey! That shortening makes great soap, I’ve had requests for my homemade soap since the hand washing has ramped up!
I'm watching this as I eat the coconut cake I made from scratch yesterday lol. I used to have rosacea over 10 years ago. My diet is def better than it was then (I still eat some grains and carbs but not nearly as much as I used to) but also stress seemed to play a part. It was at its worst when I lived with a roommate who as an alcoholic and verbally abusive. Within one month after I moved out of his house all my rosacea disappeared and it never returned. I have never done carnivore or keto though my current diet is semi keto. But my rosacea cleared up long before I started my semi-keto diet
That is really interesting. I started to get mild roacea only later in life from certain foods like oils and dairy. I am just wondering what people do when they can not tolerate coconut products?
I can attest to your video. Rosacea used to effect my nose and upper cheek. It was not uncommon to have pimples and some bleeding. I've been doing keto for two years and have not experienced any symptoms in quite a long time.
I tried keto and it cleared my severe rosacea on my nose. Fortunately, I also learned that I didn't need to go full keto (I do need to minimize it quite a bit tho) to keep the rosacea away. Before this, I took so many creams and pills from doctors, who not once suggested making dietary changes. This video definitely changed my life - I watched this video around 3 years ago and still seeing great results from minimizing carbs.
I wish I could say that Keto fixed my rosacea, but even after two years, during which my diabetes reversed, it was as bad as ever. The only thing that worked was ivermectin based "horse paste" I bought for a few bucks on Amazon, mixed with some Cereve lotion and applied to my face at night. It's completely cleared up now. Ivermectin is the active ingredient in a very expensive prescription medication for rosacea. This was an extremely affordable alternative that worked like magic!
Had a major flare up of my rosacea after going carnivore for about a month, once it passed, it didnt come back. I think it was an oxalate flush. Thank you Dr. Berry!
Your comment just gave me hope. I have never had rosacea and now just 2 weeks into the Keto diet my cheeks and chin are flaring red and almost hot! I got on here and looked for some help and found this video! I was sitting here feeling terrified to say the least but seeing your comment has helped me calm down a bit! Thank you!
@@living4truth Me too. I'm very strict Ketovore for almost a month. Several years ago I did keto and my skin cleared right up, but it's been bad since I've been off. I thought it would have cleared up by now but not yet. ☹️
So I’m an Indian, been dealing w rosacea for a year. Indians eat foods that are extreme on both spices and sugars. We eat a lot of sweets + some parts of the country ( especially in the south of India, spicy foods are very common ). Also the paranthas, chapatis ( Indian breads ), chats contain gluten in them. For me the trigger for rosacea is certainly gluten. Every time I ate anything that had gluten in it, my skin would flare up and get really red / pink and thick in texture. I’m not a very firm believer in anti-biotics or the topical creams ( as they just treat the symptoms ) externally for a short period with a lot of side effects. I saw a homeopath ( functional doctor ) for me this helped. Ayurveda, reiki and Accupuncture are other options I’m looking at for a permanent or at least long term results for reversing my rosacea. Long story cut short. After I’ve quit dairy and gluten my skin has significantly improved. I’m looking at getting an enema done ( trying natural things to cleanse and detox my gut at home for a while now ) keeping alcohol, sugars and processed foods away has largely helped my skin recover. Another angle to this - whenever I meditate, my skin is glowing. Keeping stress at bay, clearing up our emotional baggage, unresolved past, traumas and wounds significantly help our physical conditions. This is what I’ve experienced so far as I’m concerned. I used to have flare ups before in the sun and I don’t have it now after cutting out the gluten and dairy. I hope my comment can help others going through this. Be kind to yourself and love yourself fiercely. Because if you don’t, who else will? You attract what you think, what you eat and what you are. Re-wiring those hardwired habit patterns sometimes is all that we need. Sending healing, prayers and lot of love to all those suffering from whatever health conditions. The word - in (curable) which is so frightening for so many of us to hear simply means that something outside of us cannot cure it ( which means we must go within ) to heal ! 2 books that helped me in my roscoes journey so far - “being Supernatural - by dr. “Joe dispenza” and “how to heal your body through your mind” - by Louise Hay. These 2 books talk about how Mind influences matter, what we think in the mind becomes a sensation in the body - is the clear message given here with a lot of scientific back up of course. I attended a meditation course back here in India called the “Vipassana” for ten days. You could browse about it for more information. All these really helped me in my journey! I wish you all the very best of luck 🤞 Extreme fear of abandonment, fears in general and drowning in lot of negative emotions like hate, anger, anxiety, depression, jealousy, resentment, guilt, shame, self-destructive thoughts can really trigger our physical conditions in a negative way. Gratitude, love, abundance mindset can do the reverse. So by this I mean - track back and watch your mental patterns and thinking processes. If you can relate to anything I said about it, It’s time you work on letting go of it. You will see that the root issue when addressed will take away more than half of your physical conditions and diseases. This is true for me and so it can be true for a lot of you here. Journaling, therapy, meditation and self-belief / self-acceptance has helped me come a long way both mentally and physically. Surround yourself with people who are positive for your well-being and accept you for who you are. These little changes really help us go a long way. People always have an opinion about everything and anything. And they are often a projection of who “they” are, not who “YOU” are. Remember - if our body was able to create a disease, it also has the ability to heal !!! ❤✨ let no one tell you that something you have is not reversible. You know your bodies better. Listen to them, pay attention to what your body is saying to you. It really helps ❤
I'm 53, developed the condition primarily on my left cheek. I started using Rozex gel, which helped a bit. Until I started taking Oxytetracycline. I'm 3 weeks into this and the red bumps have gone. I also stopped eating chocolate and dairy milk and replaced with oat milk, I put a Spf 30 on my cheeks before I go out, I shower using kids shower gel, I wash my face with cold water before bed I also stopped taking Propranolol. What a difference all these things have made. Sometimes it takes multiple changes and research. I'm much happier now. I also pretty much just eat chicken n veg, tuna, salmon. I'm not full Keto, but some days I am. Diet definitely helps, without a doubt.
A few serious things that have helped my rosacea is being on keto and avoiding phytoestrogens like soy, almonds, etc. Then another huge game changer has been adding boron since I have estrogen dominance and boron helps to level out my estrogen. I also consume some cruciferous veggies since they have DIM in them. (which don't personally bother me). Hope this could help someone out!!
Post menopause I started to develop mild rosacea on my face. Cutting out sugar was the best approach for me. Guaranteed to get a spot or two if I eat sugary foods!
Quick question to anybody here. How long were you on keto before you noticed the rosacea began clearing up and from there how long did it take to fully clear? I've been doing keto for a month and 2 weeks. Feel a lot better! Went from 220lbs to 210. Super excited for all the additional benefits! 🙂
I suffer from psoriasis I have it on my face, elbows and around the body and I have been on keto about a week now and I have cut out sugar 5 days now and no more alcohol now for 11 days im very strict on my carbs and a ginger or green tea in the morning with a 1/4 spoon of natural honey and I have noticed a big difference in how my skin is looking the redness has gone and not as flaky its made a big difference to my life hope this helps I also fast I do 4hr feed and 20hr fasting. today I am fasting for 24hr with lemon water
About a month but my hot flushes reduced in a few weeks. My menstrual cycle regulated. I also cut out dairy apart from a bit of butter occasionally. Try a hemp porridge recipe with almond milk and sweetner.
I have a super severe rosacea...all the doctors that have seen me over the years agree that it's the most resistant form of rosacea they have ever seen. Over the years, I tried laser treatments that brought no results what so ever, the skin care I use me a fortune every month and I can't see any result....I'm tired, I'm sad that I can't go anywhere without heavy makeup on because my skin is so horrible...Now I'm determined to change my diet...I will follow the advice from this video and see if it work in my case or not...
I am on my third day of Keto, combined with intermittent fasting. My rosacea is almost gone already! I was so frustrated, but look forward to many more benefits!😊
I noticed I was getting it after I started having to wear CPAP mask every night. The small, red blood vessels on my cheeks were diagnosed as rosacea. I've been keto for about 1.5years. Unfortunately, l still have it, so in my case, it's probably because of the mask. I've lost 75 lbs and am a lot healthier but I guess I'm one of the few stuck with sleep apnea, and rosacea. But I will never quit this wonderful WOE. It's awesome!
I'm now going back to a carnivore diet. Every time I try to eat grains, veggies and fruit, and the lovely things I love to bake I break out again. So back to meat and fat. What a drag!! I really do miss the sweet treats and breads...but life is too short to have pimples and a red nose. Carnivore does work. Sticking to it takes a bit of strength of will though.
I developed rosacea approximately a year and a half ago. I’ve been clean keto/carnivore for over 2 years. I’m a chiropractor and an athlete so now I believe some of my patients when they say they have changed theirs diet and it hasn’t helped. I will say my last menstrual cycle was last August. I am now on bio identical HRT. The rosacea started before my last menstrual cycle. My diet is so clean. There has to be a hormonal component in my case. My insulin is always low. My fasted insulin is always less than 2.4.

That was a informative article, here area few more tips for people who might have Rosacea. 1. Do you really think you have Rosacea or have you been looking on the internet too much? It may be common, affecting up to one in ten people, but red faces are not always rosacea. Dermatologists often see patients who are worried that they may have developed rosacea, perhaps following a bit of internet searching, but they may actually have another condition altogether. Facial redness simply occurs because there in increased blood flow to the top part of the skin, perhaps because of inflammation, sun damage or fixed widening of vessels. 2. Don’t panic great treatment is available. at the moment it is impossible to cure rosacea however it is extremely responsive to the right treatment and can often be completely controlled. Patients are often very worried when they come to see a Dermatologist that they may have a long-term progressive condition. People particularly worry about the development of a thickened nasal skin, a condition called rhinophyma. 3. Don’t spend ridiculous amounts on cosmetics. Rosacea is a common condition which is often distressing. The cosmetics industry is worth billions of dollars. Unfortunately the claims that cosmetic companies make about their products being able to cure rosacea are mostly bogus. Cosmetics don’t reverse or reliably treat inflammatory rosacea, despite some companies’ extraordinary claims. So what does help? Simple cleansers and moisturisers like the Cetaphil range and sunblocks such as Anthelios, Sun Sense products or Altruist. Cover up foundations and powders and green-tinted moisturisers may also be helpful to cover redness and improve confidence. 4. Consider Seeing A Dermatologist. Dermatologists are the professionally trained skin specialists in the UK. If you have any concerns about diagnosis and management of your skin condition it is worth seeing a Dermatologist to obtain an expert opinion and place you on the right treatment path. The diagnosis of inflammatory conditions of the face can sometimes be difficult as conditions often overlap. New treatments are coming through all the time and complex treatments such as laser are best done by clinicians with relevant experience. In the UK you can check whether a doctor has completed Dermatology Specialist Training to become a Dermatologist on the specialist register of the General Medical Council. Look for ‘Dermatology’ under the doctor’s specialist register entry details. (I learned these and the reasons they work from Natural remedy blueprint site )
My skin problem went away with drinking kale smoothies with flax and chia seeds (rich in omega 3s). I drank a blender full every day last summer. Now I just incorporate the smoothies in my life, but I'm no longer drinking a blender full every day. Also, I just started listening to your videos about a month ago, and I'm really happy to eat more fatty meat (even for breakfast)! I have been saying no to desserts, no to breads, but I can't give up a little organic ketchup!
Thank you Dr. Berry. Now I know what this redness called. I think my daughter has it, she mentioned she has some redness on her skin. She is living in ISRAEL. I would sharing your information to her. Thanks again..!
Hi Ken, I was suffering from really bad rosacea and dermatitis efter being vegan for a year. I quit and switch to carnivore and it took some trial and error but not until I completely removed dairy and quit alcohol did I get rid of my rosacea. I haven't had a flare up in two years now and Keto is my baseline, plant heavy carnivore, and I'm happy to be able to deviate from the plan an let life take its course sometimes. Thanks for sharing your tips on this channel!
Thank you! I have had rosacea since I was 14 and I am 36. My doctor has told me all these things. My doctor just told me that I have one of the most severe case he has seen! I have been on keto for month. I will try what you said. I can’t wait to see involvement.
I've had rosacea since I was 14, till now. Azelaic acid and Led red light helps a lot, but the biggest help is cutting out DAIRY, cutting out all refined carbs, excess sugar, reduce carb intake, and eat low glycemic index foods, also keep stress low, sleep well.
Thank you Dr. Berry. Several years ago I stopped using vegetable oils, margarine and all this crap (including grains), and then step by step I eliminated industrially processed foods. My triglysterides are very low (67), and my skin is pure and not red anymore. Will listen to your Keto 101 playlist now.
I had Rosacea before I changed to the Keto way of eating. I used Metrogel as well. My Rosacea was even on my upper chest. I looked like I had an eternal sunburn. All that has cleared up since I have been on the Ketogenic diet.
I haven't been perfect with the keto diet, but my rosacea is much better. My A1C and triglycerides are now within normal limits, where they were not before. I've lost 40 pounds. Female age 70.
My dermatologist told me good thing is you have rosacea and bad thing is we don't have cure for it ... I was mad .. I have rosacea on my face , nose and a bit on forehead . It started last year and spread from little spot on cheeks . Other day I was looking on TH-cam and found one Doctor talking about cause to be internally and now You gave the same info .... will try to change my diet and cut out carbs and dietary products .... thx for info hope this change will help me.
Just what I needed! I have Rosacea. It's never really bothered me but people sometimes comment about my red cheeks. It's not too bad in winter but once summer hits it flares up. Will be sticking to low carb and later move on to carnivore. I've eaten a lot of carbs throughout my life and will have to put a stop to that so I can clear up my Rosacea.
So happy to hear that you have found success. If I can ask, what do you prefer to eat for breakfast?
I am suffering from rosacea symptoms myself (going on 2 years now); I've been mainly keto-carnivore for over 2 years and I have to agree with you; I think that dairy is the culprit in all this (it can't be junk food or wheat as I don't consume those foods anymore).....I'm cutting out all dairy starting tomorrow. Thanks for the post, it reinforced my "dairy" hypothesis
@@toddmichael8668 Hey man, has it improved for you?
Call their punk ass up and tell them they wasted your time.
It's the right thing to do.
What dairy products are you referring to? Homogenized milk is highly allergenic and inflammatory.
Hi Dr.
1. conventional doctors are not taught about nutrition
2. they'd lose money and their jobs by telling people about nutrition
3. many people are lazy and don't want to make real change, they just want pills, etc so they can continue doing the wrong thing for their health
Getting a new wardrobe 😀 then you discover you never needed as many clothes as you thought or maybe that was from Covid?!😂 Nevertheless, I hope you're still doing well in Liverpool (where my DNA is from).🤍
Hi Ken. How long did it take for your rosacea to go? Really happy for you by the way.
How to do a Keto diet properly?
Dr. Ken, Dr.
About a year later I was hiking up in Tahoe and, after a long hike, I bought a big bag of roasted peanuts and devoured them in one sitting, (I totally forgot about the allergy.)
I woke up a day or two later and saw that the rosacea had returned.
I stopped with coffee and in 24 hours it was 50% gone and it is still getting better
Hey can u please tell me how can we do allergy test?..I also have roscea I m am suffering a lot..I couldn't find a reason
@@nikitarahane2243I'm going to a nutritionist at my local health food store. They might help you. Good luck.

Did you have broken capillaries with your rosacea? If so, did those go away, too? Thanks!
Hi Erin. How long did it take for the rosacea to go?
I went carnivore for many reasons, and didn't realize that it was going to help my rosacea! At first I stuck with strictly carnivore, but I didn't give up a little bit of hot sauce, which I know is supposed to be a flareup trigger. I don't eat hot sauce much anymore, but since I've been carnivore my rosacea has disappeared to the point that hot sauce on occasion doesn't bother me anymore. Thanks!
Hi there i would like to know what is the amount of meat you eat in a day. Thx in advance
I have been eating the high fat low carb diet since January, and the redness and the scaliness is almost gone! I've lost 32 pounds so far. My father has lost almost 60 and we have both lowered our blood pressure from hypertension stage 2 to well within normal ranges. This. Lifestyle. Works.

Can you tell me keto diet for vegetarian who has rocesea
Happy dance!

ok but what do u eat for breakfast!? Do u avoid eating potato or sthh?
How long did all that take? Carnivore/keto for 3 months now and I still have rosacea and cracked heels...
Annie, I don’t usually eat until at least noon. Mornings I drink coffee - sometimes with a little heavy cream or just black.

Hi Alicia🌟, how has your keto diet been to controll rosacea ? What has been your progress?
Great video and perfect timing for myself to have found this. Ive had redness on my face for 20 plus years and havent cared until puss bumps started appearing on my nose. I got a cream that helped with that and stopped drinking beer, that made a huge difference. Hearing what was said on this video makes sense in realtion to the beer, the sugars and the hops... duh! Now im on a mission! I cut out alcohol, now im cutting out carbs! Thanks!
I've been keto since late October and my rosacea is 98% better. Thank you Dr Berry. I owe you my utmost gratitude.
Thanks Dr. Berry!!! I've been wondering about this lately!!! Glad there is hope😊
How much time it takes to go... With tht diet?
Plz reply
High fat diet is not healthy
Did you have broken capillaries with your rosacea? If so, did those go away, too? Thanks!

I’ve been doing the keto diet and intermittent fasting almost a year and have lost 70 pounds. My rosacea is finally clear. I love it! 😉
I've been following an almost keto diet (meat, veg and a little bit of sweet potato) for two weeks. Pretty amazing, my skin is rosacea-acne free. There is still a little redness and inflammation but pimples are gone.

Diagnosed with Rosacea 2 weeks ago. REALLY disappointing! Going to give Keto a shot. Wish me luck!!!
I have Rosacea and doing keto has really helped me! The flaring on my skin as gone down so much! I still have it but I am able to control it with what I put in my mouth! Thank you for your tips, fyi if I haven't got rid of it completely is because I have some weak moments here and there and fall off the wagon.

What do you eat?
Yes zinc has been helping my rosacea a lot and avoiding sugars and carbs helps immensely. My sister is a natural path she told I need to take zinc everyday and it’s helping ! Thankyou Dr great content here .
What's a "natural path"?
been Keto over a year. the Roseacea has cleared up.. love Keto YES it is simple and easy..
Do you eat cheese.tia
What Vitamin c serum do you use?
@@drerinwhite8511 Andalou. It's is $30 but is half price a couple times a year, so I get a few then. "Kora" brand is instantly effective against redness, but it's $80 for the same size and never on special.
Do you eat a lot of dairy? I feel like dairy contributes to my rosacea but I know keto is a lot of meat and dairy
Did you have broken capillaries with your rosacea? If so, did those go away, too? Thanks!
Yes and yes! Well ... very reduced so I didn't notice them.
I love ya doc, but 2.5 yrs keto and I'm still red lol But I cant get rid of High Blood Pressure on keto and I know a ton of people who have. I wont complain to much since I did have 25 medical conditions and I am just down to 1 now and 144 pounds smaller :)
How many carbs are you eating? In order to get better results, some of us have to give up carbs completely and go carnivore 🙂
Your liver has to heal before you experiance health improvement. It may take years, 2-3y. So Keto on!
Maybe try magnesium & potassium, could be deficient
Did the usual rosacea triggers from sun, heat etc disappear as well? I guess I’m asking if the flushing also disappears and not “just” pimples?
Did you have broken capillaries with your rosacea? If so, did those go away, too? Thanks!

Keto one year. I still have rosacea. However I have had so many other health improvements that I am staying keto for life.
Staying keto for life is unhealthy, it's not a magic diet. On the contrary it's an unbalanced diet people should strictly follow only to lose weight. Some people in this comment section think eating less grain, sugar and potatoes while eating more vegetables and meat means they are following keto diet 😂
Thanks Dr. Berry! For helping me find Carnivore, Lost 60Lbs on Keto. Now my redness is just starting to fade.
You are a life saver! Literally! Tx
I'm going to make furniture polish with my oil.
Did you consume dairy?
You have helped me with my liver, kidneys and poops.. thank you
I'm watching this as I eat the coconut cake I made from scratch yesterday lol.
@trevor sato its not really eliminating anything in particular and more greatly reducing pasta, breads, and sweets
I can attest to your video. Rosacea used to effect my nose and upper cheek. It was not uncommon to have pimples and some bleeding. I've been doing keto for two years and have not experienced any symptoms in quite a long time.
Thank you doctor. You are the smartest guy out there!
Wow they use ivermectin on mange! Didn’t know humans could use it.
@@karadanvers6136 Ivermectin tin is widely used in humans for decades. Jesus, we are still doing this?
I wish you all the very best of luck 🤞
Extreme fear of abandonment, fears in general and drowning in lot of negative emotions like hate, anger, anxiety, depression, jealousy, resentment, guilt, shame, self-destructive thoughts can really trigger our physical conditions in a negative way. Gratitude, love, abundance mindset can do the reverse. So by this I mean - track back and watch your mental patterns and thinking processes. If you can relate to anything I said about it,
It’s time you work on letting go of it.
I hope you are doing well Dr Berry
I firmly believe cutting dairy is essential to healing for many as well 💛
How are you doing now?
About a month but my hot flushes reduced in a few weeks. My menstrual cycle regulated. I also cut out dairy apart from a bit of butter occasionally. Try a hemp porridge recipe with almond milk and sweetner.

How is your rosacea doing
Thank you so much for this !! I just started getting rosacea for a week. I stayed away from meat & went plant based.
Day one of no sugar starts tomorrow!! Thanks for the suggestions :)

Well when it gets in your eyes it is a whole other ballgame....you can't use the treatments in your eyes....
And the list of wonderful benefits of these great diets go on and on and on. Thanks doc.
Seeds are for birds to eat! I am 5 months carnivore with very slight keto tweaks (coffee) after 18 months keto. Best things I have ever done!

How has it been? I suffer from severe rosacea as well and I will be starting keto diet today!!

It is so much better. I did carnivore for a month now on ketovore.
Yes big improvement.

But yeah, he's amazing :D
Thank you Dr. Berry. Several years ago I stopped using vegetable oils, margarine and all this crap (including grains), and then step by step I eliminated industrially processed foods. My triglysterides are very low (67), and my skin is pure and not red anymore. Will listen to your Keto 101 playlist now.
I had Rosacea before I changed to the Keto way of eating. I used Metrogel as well. My Rosacea was even on my upper chest. I looked like I had an eternal sunburn. All that has cleared up since I have been on the Ketogenic diet.
Loved the information. As an Esthetician I always tell them it’s the diet. Everyone stay safe and stay centered during these changing times:)
THANK YOU SO MUCH DOCTOR I WILL TRY THIS AND UPDATE EVERYONE !!! STARTING DAY 1
I haven't been perfect with the keto diet, but my rosacea is much better. My A1C and triglycerides are now within normal limits, where they were not before. I've lost 40 pounds. Female age 70.
Keto 3 years. I've had great results with keto for psoraiasis and my rosacea.
Will this help the eye inflammation that can come with rosacea? What do you think about red light / infrared light therapy?
