My rosacea started after I went on a 'sugar free' diet with little fat when I was a late teen (I'm now 35). I consumed tons of aspartame, and I believe it damaged my liver. I was very ignorant about diet and nutrition back then. My rosacea got worse over the years, and I have extreme sensitivities to lots of foods. I'll try these tips, thank you!

Tried all kinds of diets and creams (1000's of dollars) but then I finally went to a top skin doctor in London who said oil is the problem. He told me to remove oil from the face using special pads (no scrub as it hurts the skin) and then use a rosacea cream reducing inflammation. To think that I had been using moisturisers and oils all this time when it was all about removing the oils! My skin has never looked better!

Use the oil control pads to remove oil and build up (this helps so much because I used to have white flakes on my face constantly, gone!) then finish with Zo's rosacea serum which reduces the inflammation. Do it morning and night. it took about one week for my skin to repair itself and then after a few days pretty much all of the redness was gone!

Winter is my biggest problem, too, especially the extreme differences of hot and cold. Everyone with rosacea has different triggers, it's interesting. For many people the sunshine is definitely a problem. I am OK but I also wear hats and don't sunbathe. Plant extracts are a problem for me so these tips are not for me, unfortunately. I like using a gentle face wash with no actives and only use moisturiser if needed, approximately once a week. Then I use one with low irritants like LRP cicaplast B5.

My Dr prescribed me Doxycycline Mono and it cleared my rosacea! I only take it as needed now. I don't need to worry about the need for gentle or sensitive face cleansers. I can wash my face with anything and it's fine. I just washed it with Dawn dish soap this afternoon because it was so oily from this heat wave. I've even gotten compliments that the skin on my face is perfect.

Please do not put essential oils on your face if you have rosacea that is the worst thing for it. Watch Dr Dray videos, she is a dermatologist who really cares and will cut it straight and tell you what products are the best for it and what to avoid. Affordable products. She isnt making any money for these videos. Shes just helping out. Ive watched many videos on how to fix my issue and since following her advice I've cleared up and dont have many flare ups. She will do walk through videos in walmart and target and recommend what to use and avoid.

I've been suffering from rosacea for 3+ years and no topical cream dermatologists recommended benefited me. Going sugar/ gluten/ dairy free along with applying tea tree and blue tansy oils have been my game-changers. Yes, essential oils are rather potent so always dilute them with carrier oils but when done the right way, they’re powerful healers. Using them correctly would force dermatologists out of their jobs so it's natural that they loathe essential oils. I appreciate Dr Dray and I watch her videos too but I always take them with a pinch of salt. In one of her videos, she tried her best to dissuade folks from using colloidal silver while people sang praises for it right in her comments section. (I use colloidal silver too). That’s proof dermatologists and doctors hate easy/ natural remedies with a vengeance.

Mineral with Zink products are the best for my fair skin. The only kind that doesn't burn. I don't agree with the essential oils
They made my pustules much worse. I also found that twice a day applications of Greek yogurt with emptying a green tea bag 20 min a day to greatly reduce redness, remove dead skin cells and stopped the burning. A soapless hydrating skin wash and making sure your moisturizers are also hypoallergenic . Avoid scented laundry products. Especially your pillow and watch for food triggers. Especially caffeine and sugar. It's taken me 3 months but persistence pays off.

Rosacea stems from a deteriorated gut. Bad gut health by eating sugary, acidic, fried foods, carbonated drinks, caffinated drinks, meat (uric acid and parasites in your gut), dairy (lactic acid causes bad eyesight and acne) & gluten foods (wheat, barley, rye, oats).
      - Goin on a gluten free & vegan diet and getting your colon cleaned - with colon hydrotherapy as it cleans your gut from the bad food & then it can repair - drinking loose herbal natural wholefood store teas that are non caffinated helps.
      - using oil free products on your skin like Sukin moisterizers
      - Apple Cider Vinegar is an amazing cleanser too to put on before your moisterizer with a soft cotton pad.

Moonlight Reading & Healings please do not use essential oils on the face. It is extremely irritating to the face, anything with fragrance even if it is “natural” will trigger a flare up. Go to your dermatologist and ask them for a skin care routine for your skin care needs, I have acne and easily inflamed skin and my skin is a 3.5 Ph level, which is way more acidic than normal. So I need special skin care for my skin, you never know what you need because the average person doesn’t have the technology to mesure moister levels and skin PH

Is there blood tests or anything doctors can do to see if it is rosacea? Or other problems they can check for that cause similar symptoms? My doc was out of town and the doc they had me see took very little time. Fastest doc apt I’ve ever had. Just want to be prepared before I go back. Prescriptions I was given made things worse and caused migraines. I don’t drink alcohol and I fasted from foods and caffeine that they listed as a cause. I changed my workout regimen. I just didn’t know if there is a different problem they could check for or tests they can run. When I look at pictures it doesn’t look like whatever is going on in me, but maybe it just looks different. I just would like a better examination if you can provide key things I should ask them to test or look for. I also show signs of anemia according to a retired family doctor but when I went in they said I was fine. I’m just a little frustrated with symptoms that I have but no resolve.

Calling yourself a “doctor” is pretty misleading. It sends the message you’re a physician or MD when you’re not. Do NOT put essential oils on your face, especially if you have rosacea. A lot of rosacea is extremely sensitive skin or a damaged skin barrier so nothing with perfumes, essential oils, or other irritating ingredients that a dermatologist can identify.
