I've had rosacea for 3 decades, and in the last 8 months I've completely overhauled my diet and became an avid faster to fix my microbiome and I know I _did_ because my histamine intolerance (which presented as _severe asthma_) is healed. But my rosacea remains IF I don't use clean sunscreen on my cheeks for EVERY MICROSECOND I'm in the sun. I don't use sunscreen otherwise, just a dab on both cheeks. If I go out for 5 minutes in the sun without it I break out. For some people diet and fasting might work, but for ME, I've done that PERFECTLY for months with NO CHANGE in my rosacea. Otherwise, my skin looks fabulous for the diet and fasting I've done...fine lines are disappearing and I do have a glow. I'm not a sun-phobe, LOL; I lay out for vitamin D, but where I would have ROSACEA is COVERED so it doesn't get inflamed and break out.

Unfortunately, doctors destroyed my face and I suffered all my life due to this condition. Also, it was my fault as well because I used a lot of products. The doctors treat the symptoms not the cause. However, there are more types of rosacea and each needs to be treated differently.

This is one of the most informative talks on acne rosacea I've heard. I had photofacial treatments in years past that was the absolute best long term results, it was wonderful. I no longer have issues with rosacea, but there's always something. FYI, my rosacea was not tide to alcohol. Now that I'm older I'm going to try it again photofacial again but I'm sure if my skins collagen will give me the full the results I had years ago. I was in awe hearing about Ivermectin. That could kill 2 birds with one stone if one thinks its a good protection against COVID and acne. Thanks for the talk, greatly appreciated.

So what I'm understanding is that, if you are struggling with rosacea, a great place to start is diet. Focus on high fiber, low inflammatory diet, try to get outside and get mild sunlight exposure, and maybe do other anti inflammatory habits like routine exercise, reduce stress, and a good sleep routine.

For a year i 100% avoided dairy, gluten and sugar. Had a food sensitivity test, avoided the sensitivities. Took digestive enzymes, vitamin d, omega 3 . Drank a lot of water, used ivermectine as well. Did the sibo test, nothing came out. After all of this my rosacea didn’t improve with even 1%. You’re saying rosacea is easy to treat and dermatologists don’t look “under the hood.” But to me it seemed like all functional medicine doctors do the same treatment/advice for all patients as well. This advice doesn’t work for every person, just like steroids don’t work for everyone. If anyone has any other tips, please let me know!

What a great video (seems it touched on all my previous issues!). Wish I had seen it so many years ago when I was trying to figure out my health issues. I had chronic diarrhea for so long I can't even remember. I realized I had Candida overgrowth after antibiotic overuse for treating H Pylori bacteria, chronic sinus infections and Rosacea! The doctors were quick to prescribe them and I had no idea the havoc they were wreaking on my gut. One doctor just told me to keep a food journal. Instead, I went to a Naturopath doctor and after talking with me and asking me many questions, took blood tests and stool sample. That is how I found out my allergies (Dairy, eggs) so we started to treat it and I changed my diet. I also did an elimination diet but the results were not conclusive to me. Oh I forgot to mention I have Dermatographism (since a child)! I went vegetarian and finally cut out the dairy (it was hard!) and have been Vegan for 2+ years. Well, I'm happy to say after doing more research, I have been Whole Foods Plant Based for 6 weeks and have truly never felt better! There's no going back for me - this will be my lifestyle until the day I die because I was not truly healed until this. I bet y'all would have loved my case!

Hi Im 70 was diagnosed with rosacea a year ago. I’ve had laser treatments that took away the redness, but I haven’t had them the last six months. I was given the same same thing for rosacea, which is the metronidazole which I think does absolutely nothing and now I’m using tea tree oil mix that a friend made to make the demodex go away !! so I went to see my doctor again like three months ago and I showed him the thicken skin on my nose and I’m absolutely terrified of rhinophyma ! my doctor did not even notice the thicken skin on my nose. 😮 I had to tell him look. And he said oh there’s no treatment for that. It’s considered plastic surgery. And that’s not covered by insurance. laser is. anyway, I just listened to your story and I agree totally about having to give up dairy and it sure is hard but it’s better than the bulby ugly nose if it gets to that. those Demodex are so annoying. I saw that you used Tea tree oil on your face ,eyelashes and Scalp and you sleep with it and wash it off in the morning ! Is that every day ? well, thank you for telling your story. You gave me some hope here ! The insurance only covers surgery after it gets extreme size a.k.a. rhinophyma ! isnt that stupid ? OK well I’m gonna do what you did !! I don’t know if you ever got the thick skin on your nose, but I just noticed mine a month ago so although I’m dissecting (looking at it & freaking out about it! I ran across your story and I want to thank you cause this is horrifying disease. Let’s see I’m devastated. I’m sure you know what that feels like.

I've been managing it with red light therapy, natural health supplements, the right natural face care, good nutrition, and managing stress with meditation and exercise. My biggest triggers are sugar, chocolate, really cold windy weather and stress. The one thing I've learned in my journey the last 4 years of dealing with this is that no two cases are alike and what works for me, might not work for someone else.

I'm 53, developed the condition primarily on my left cheek. I started using Rozex gel, which helped a bit. Until I started taking Oxytetracycline. I'm 3 weeks into this and the red bumps have gone. I also stopped eating chocolate and dairy milk and replaced with oat milk, I put a Spf 30 on my cheeks before I go out, I shower using kids shower gel, I wash my face with cold water before bed I also stopped taking Propranolol. What a difference all these things have made. Sometimes it takes multiple changes and research. I'm much happier now. I also pretty much just eat chicken n veg, tuna, salmon. I'm not full Keto, but some days I am. Diet definitely helps, without a doubt. I regularly work out, I've cut alcohol intake down as well. Its taken a few changes to fix this. I'd say cutting dairy down is a big one for me.

First of all thanks for this professional video and approach to manage rosacea, it’s by far the best I’ve seen. Then i just want to know in the beginning you mentioned about the sun and that we should avoid because it’s making rosacea worse, but later in the video you mentioned we should get our fair deal of sun. What is the best approach to follow? Because I’ve seen a tremendous improvement with my skin when i get more sun. But too much sun aggravates it. I assume it’s the UV lights? Because when i get sun from the rest of my skin and cover my face it helps a lot. But when i get too much on my face it gets warm and irritated. So i just want to know which is the best approach and if we should use sunscreen to block the UV lights? And if this we still give you enough benefits of the sun?

I've suffered from rosacea for years!!! The only time my face looked better, not completely clear, but better, was when my Celiac Disease was out of control and I wasn't absorbing nutrients and I was down to 78 pounds. So I assumed it must have had something to do with gluten and other things I was ingesting initially. However, four year after my Celiac diagnosis, it is now getting much worse. The texture of my skin has changed tremendously. Every time I wash my face my skin peels off. I can't apply lotion without getting a reaction and I definitely can't apply sunblock because my skin doesn't absorb it. It ends up staying white on my face. It is bizarre and now my skin looks like it has scales on it. I'm so grateful that I have to wear a mask in this covid pandemic because I look disgusting. I'm concerned because I go out for walks but with the sun it makes it difficult. I've done everything in my power to try and fix this! It is so frustrating.

Dr. Mark, i am looking forward to my appointment at the Ultrawellness Center in August. I will be seeing Dr. G.
While I wait, do you have any recommendations for dealing with Hidradenitis suppurativa, also called: acne inversa?

I was recently diagnosed with rosacia. I also have a very rare skin condition called livedo reticularis all over my body and some eczema on my feet. I asked 2 dermatologist if there is something in my diet that is causing livedo reticularis and they both said no. Apparently there is no cure and they don't know what's causing it. Every year it gets worse! I wish I could have these doctors treat me! I am loosing hope...😓

I highly recommend you get Liver Cleanse Anthony Williams
You can only cure it from within with a certain diet and supplements. Good luck!
