I loved that opening! I have had that happen so many times with a jerkbait too. I thought I had a decent one and it was a sideways little guy. The full range of emotions in one cast and retrieve.

The jerkbait was just floating in the water while I was helping my wife with her bait. That little squeaker hit it on the pause, lol! My wife laughed the rest of the day!

They're called colorado tail spinner hitchhikers and you can get them pretty much anywhere online or your local tackle shops. They're fairly common and inexpensive.
