Do you like hunting for those hard to find fishing spots that nobody else goes to?
Makes me want to go way up north where there are thousands of lakes. I remember when my son hooked into a bowfin. He thought he had a monster bass - for about a second. Lol
I was really surprised at how many of those little lakes and ponds I saw where fishable public waters. And hooking a bowfin is no joke! My wrist still aches a little!

I used to bribe the guys at my local utility pump station that got stocked with bass, catfish,carp,and bluegill. Talk about a easy way to catch a 5lb bass just pitch a white boyhowdy and give it a minute rest then about 3 short pops and wait and watch. The crazy thing I'd the only thing I'd ever brought in on a night crawler there was a crawfish

Lowbrow I recently lost my go to pay pond because of people that have the lack of respect for private land they destroyed there gate and trashed it.. so they stopped everyone from fishing it.. so thanks for the advice to find a new spot to fish

I used Google earth to look around my area and there were tons of little lakes and ponds I never even knew about. I found a couple nice spots near the highway that are like runoff ponds that I have caught fish in and I still never see other people fishing them.

That's just down the road from my hunting club, fish the lake on the south side of the highway a couple times a month atleast
