Do you feel more confident changing lures often, or do you prefer to keep working with them?
If its a lure I caught fish on before in that lake, I will fish it for about 30 mins, if no bites I tie on another lure. I may go back to it later in the day.
Hey Goober, you're starting to remind me of me.
The reason I lose fish most of the time is because I'm holding my mouth the wrong way as I'm reeling my lures in.
Next time your wife catches a fish, go around front and watch how she's holding her mouth and then mimic that.
Sound advice!
I change up pretty regularly even if something caught fish. I like to try different things to see what else will work.
Always keep the bass guessing!
Gulp minnows are practically as good as live bite. I've caught just about anything that swims with them.
Very true!
Its called a "Flashback mini" perfect lil chatter bait
I need to get more! I'm down to my last one!
That is one thing that I still struggle with is when to change. Lol. It’s so easy to get stubborn and try to force it when I know I should switch. It makes me keep buying new rods and reels instead of retying. 😂
I totally agree. The worst is when a bait worked recently and the next time out the bass show no interest. I'm bad about that.
Versatility is key for me finding a bite or 2. Sometimes, i take breaks and come back to not knowing what they want to strike... so i have to start with some lures ,and start eliminating what the fish dont want, and try to figure out what the bass wants, and as conditions change ,sun wind etc, adjust to where the fish may setup to feed . And make 15 casts ,and retie the next presentation. Try ,slow, steady, and fast retrieves and rotate lures. Go Lowbrow 💥 🎣 ✌️.
Having a proven system that works for you is important!
I do struggle changing lures! Thanks for more good information!
I struggle with it as well. Hopefully one day I'll get it sorted out, lol!
I try to make a 15 or so minute rule. If I'm not getting so much as a follow within about that time I'll switch and do a few fan casts as I walk down the bank
That's a great way to do it!
It's like cooking a burger, it gets done faster if you keep it out of the air. Just pick a confidence bait to begin with.
Confidence baits are a great start, but you have to be able to adapt with the changes as well!
I like that small swimbait setup. That looks like it would get just about anything.
I've caught a few crappie and some shell cracker with it.
Do you ever not catch bass when you go? I see fish caught in all of your videos, so I am curious at what point, do you call it a day?
I'm always on a schedule so I always have to be off the water by mid afternoon. But there are days here and there where the skunk pays a visit to old Lowbrow. It's not nearly as often as it used to be, maybe once in 10 times, but it does happen.
Absolutely awesome video! You explain everything in a professional manner and I enjoy listening to you because, I learn a lot from your advice. I take your advice and get out on the water and it works. Thank you so much.
Awesome! Thank you so much!
@@LowBrowFishing You're welcome and thank you again
I got a couple on a Pop r last time. Don't really have room to fish much else from the bank
I love a Pop-R!
I tend to fish a lure a little longer sometimes because I bank fish and move around a lot so I dont have but one rod with me, but I dont mind retrying and retying lures as I go along because the day and Bass change as different conditions show up. It's also helped, I might add to really get good on tying a couple of different knots because I can do it quicker and encourage anglers to get better and quicker at doing there. It helps you get back to fishing quicker.
Bank fishing is a different animal for sure. You have limited space so you need to make sure your baits are as versatile as possible!
Absolutely !
Don't feel bad, my wife is better then me at most things
My wife is turning into a very good angler!
mrs lowbrow the frog master!!
That she is!
5:29 Bass hawk tua’d that thang😂😂
I'm happy he came back for it!
Sometimes I change and sometimes I keep throwing the same lure. I used to mostly just feel confused and hope something works. But these videos really help me figure things out. Thanks LB!
Being confused can be the worst! That's when we start guessing instead of using the conditions!
