- Neko rigs are one of the best tools anglers have for bass fishing. They can be used in a variety of ways and in a variety of situations. The problem is, they aren't weedless and can get snagged on just about anything. A day of fun bass fishing can turn into a real grind when you constantly have to pick trash off your bait after every cast. In this video we'll discuss a new way to fish a neko rig that is completely weedless! #fishing #bassfishing #fishingtips

Is the neko rig a part of your bass fishing arsenal?
Love When OG's share their secrets with other OG's !! Love it. Oh ! By the way I killed it with The Shad sent from older video !! Best fishing day in long time !! Call it The Wackonator !!
That is awesome! Thanks so much for watching!
I watch your videos often. I didn't catch it if you said it but I would like to suggest using the elaztech worm such as those from Z-Man. That floating last tech really stand up and wiggle on this setup. I'm certainly going to give it a try.
Zman worms would work great...if they weren't so hard to pierce. Trying to put a nail weight into elaztech is not very fun.
Great video, love throwing wacky rig. I’m going to try Neko rig. Thanks. Keep up the good videos.
I really think you'll like it!
Thanks for the video I like the rig a lot. Can’t wait to try it next week-Vacation time. Fishing and a few task planned around the house.
I'm glad you like it! Thanks for watching!
This is great I tried it and I had great results 😃 and it is true I had minimal hangups as I hoped. Thank you for this new setup....
I'm happy it worked well for you! Thanks so much for watching!
The Dragco rig, great video.
Great suggestion! Thanks for watching!
Awesome video! I love how you explain everything in your videos. That set-up is great. I'm going to give it a try this weekend. Thank you for advice and new ways to fish.
Awesome! Thank you!
So, I have a suggestion for your rig. Snell your hook and feed the point in like a typical Texas rig. But instead of pushing the worm only 1/4" onto the hook continue pushing the worm 1" or more onto the hook then bring the point outside and thread it back through the worm Texas style. You could then add a splitshot weight onto the line at the worm head. Just another idea.
Thanks for the tip!
Love the bungee jumper! My son still talks about that rig all the time. Your creation looks great! I will have to give that a try. Thanks!
Thanks! It put in more work for me today! There's just so many ways to rig a worm! Sometimes my crazy ideas are a bust and sometimes they actually do well!
If the hook is facing the head as I see you are doing, it will never be weedless. I use the weedless neco hooks and never get hung in my very weedy lakes. The hook point always faces the tail or in other words the opposite way of away from the weighted end.
I was never good at coming up with new ways to rig a worm. Guess that's why I just use a grub most times.
A grub is such an overlooked bait!
I like this rig, and I'm going to give it a try. Thanks, LB 👊👍
I really think you'll like the results!
Good class
thanks
I'm happy you liked it!
It's not, but it is a big part of my son's arsenal, and he does really well with it! Thanks for sharing this! Hope you're having a great Memorial Day brother!
Been great so far! Here's hoping you have an awesome holiday!
That looks killer! I hardly fish a regular wacky because I always get snagged so if this is half as good as a Waco then I'll be using it from now on!
I really think you'll like it!
I usually use a ned when I finesse fish but those aren't weedless so much either. Gonna have to give this a try. Thanks for another great video!
A ned can be rough to fish in the slop for sure!
I'd call it the Lowbro Senko. Do you ever insert the nail weigh into the side towards the head so it doesn't fly out as often?
I've not had problems with the nail weight flying out. But I would suggest adding a drop of super glue to hold the nail weight in if needed.
That's a neko child rig , should be a game changer! Wish I was fishing 😅
The bungee is certainly similar to a child rig for sure. I think that's a great way to look at it!
im gonna try it ive got some nail weights I used a metal clothes hanger we will see
I think you'll really like it!
Love the Waco rig.
That is awesome!
The Waco rig is off the chain around here in the South Georgia area.. I got a 8 pound and 13 ounce off it 💪🏻
That is such an awesome fish!
I like learning about your tips and tricks. How about calling this the Teko(Teako) rig
That's a great suggestion!
It's similar to a bungee rig but you don't have to sacrifice an old jig head and super glue it to a worm. I only wonder how the hookups would be with the hook like that.
The hookups are great, the worm usually slides up the line and out of the way.
The LB rig!
Haha!
Nice hack on the Neko Rig!!! Having the hook pointing does it affect the hook up?? Will have to try this set up!! In the video you said to use the Waco Rig in Shallow water & Neko in Deeper water, what's your depth for shallow & deeper?? Stay Safe & God Bless!!! 🤠👍
The hook doesn't get in the way of hookups at all. It generally gets knocked up the line like a neko or wacky rig. For me, shallow water is anything less than about 6-8 feet deep. I consider something like 10+ feet to be deeper water where I fish.
@@LowBrowFishing Thanks you for your response!!! 🤠👍
Uh oh! Here we go again 😂🎉
Lol, we'll see!
Let's go!
👍 Thanks for watching!
Name suggestions: The amarillo rig, The double cross rig, The big cat rig (Neko means cat in Japanese).
Those are all great suggestions!
The Lowbrow Rig !!!
Haha! Unfortunately, that one's taken already. It's what viewers called a skirtless swimjig I fish from time to time.
The brow rig
Or the low brow rig
A couple of years ago the viewers called my skirtless swimjig a "Lowbrow rig". Thanks for the suggestion!
“Nakey Waco”
I like that!
so its a shaky head?
Thanks for watching!
I rarely fish a wacky anymore. Waco rig works better so I bet this is too
It works so well!
Looks like the 10 year old "chicken rig".
Very similar, but the line isn't threaded through the worm and the hook is placed far lower.
Thanks for the clarification. 👍🏼
