Nailed it Alan. I've been playing Forza since the original and it's kind of stunning how little innovation there is here. They mildly changed around how a player earns XP as their "main career mode feature." For the budget they have, it seems... strange that this is all they could come up with.

One thing Alan mentioned that I think most other commentators miss is the cars. I don't need 500 cars. I don't even need 100. 20 good cars that drive like they should is OK. Focusing on the racing is WAY more important. Now, I get that there are people who find the car list very important, but I can't see it being more important than the driving to most people.
I agree. I always say quality over quantity. Unfortunately, most people are blinded by a large selection. Just look at Forza Horizon. What used to be a good game has degenerated into a boring car-collecting simulator in recent years.
Reminds me years ago when on the Amiga and those racing titles like Nigel mansell etc just felt like you were scating around and then Vroom from Llankor arrived and it was simply brilliant, You felt connected to the car & road and ran very smoothly for a low powered machine compared to today..

So, I have an interesting anecdote about this using another game genre: shooters. Recently, a game by the name of BattleBit Remaster released that took the shooter genre by storm. When you look at the game, it looks like Roblox, or Minecraft. But the game is true shooter through and through, and possesses some of the most polished gunplay, menues, mechanics in pretty much any shooter out right now, outdoing Triple A studios. And it did it without looking pretty. Most of these studios have these shiny bright graphics and act like it’s a substitute for good gameplay. It’s not. And I think people are getting sick and tired of these games of all genres looking beautiful but being skin-deep. People want substance!
I agree with you in general. The problem is that many people are fooled by beautiful graphics and convince themselves that a game is better than a game with less good graphics just because of its graphics.
You mentioned a lot that I'd like to see myself, and I'd also really really really like to see Turn 10 refine the tuning to that it reflects real world adjustments. How the spring rate is theoretically in tenths for the ft/lbs units, but you are at the grace of the game on which tenth it lands on and the only actual adjustment is in 5 tenth increments. There's also got to be some reason the kgf/mm units are actually in N/m, the plus side being that the tenths increments actually work with those units (most of the time). However, the meat and potatoes of my gripe is with dampening; I haven't found any method of measurement that comes close to whatever it is that Turn 10 implemented for Bound and Rebound rates. I feel they need to really refine the dampening tuning, but I have a sneaking suspicion that it is part of their physics magic.
Another thing is, it feels like I've been playing the same game, with features being added, or stripped out, same old tracks, same old cars, for 20 years. I'm not sure if there is anything that either Gran Turismo or Forza M can do, to recapture that magic 🤔
Everything you said! Looks again to be a race game that was directed by the sales department instead of the racing, car enthusiast department. Putting much spit and polish on its looks, hiring some sales pitch people to try and stir up excitement. But in the end, it will just be another bland attempt to fulfill the dreams of car buffs. I hope I'm wrong. But seeing their bragged about, car damage model. I can only conclude the whole game will be a teaspoon of added things the audience have always begged for in a bowl of the same old brew.
i guess it looks a bit better like better texture resolution, but the whole artistic approach and the underlying game engine is absolutely the same and one can see this, it's really a bit embarassing that they come up with this after 6 years. The game should blow you away compared to FM7 footage, yet it honestly does not. gran turismo 7 will be out more than 1,5 years when FM will launch later this year and it just looked really good when they showed it off, i remember that lap on daytona in the RSR. and that game is primarily made for the PS4. So yeah, i seriously dont know what Turn 10 have been doing all these years...
Same thing with Halo tbh. A massive gap between the last release, same talking points (reimagined, taking our time, blah blah blah) and look how the latest Halo game turned out... I think it's an Xbox game studios thing.
Ever since the first Forza Motorsport came out on the first Xbox, I always dismissed it as the more flashy and colorful but not as photorealistic version of Gran Turismo for Xbox owners. Almost 20 years later, through 6 more entries in the series, and major upgrades in its own graphics technology, Turn 10 studios had maintained this aesthetic -- colorful and flashy but not as photorealistic as Gran Turismo, much to the dismay of photorealism fans. Ironically, their sister company Playground Games, have never disappointed with any of their Forza Horizon games. And Forza Horizon 5 to me is the single greatest match to Gran Turismo's graphics of any racing game to date.
They refuse to commit to either making it more of a sim, or bringing back all the fun/social features of FM3 and FM4. Instead we end up with a boring middle ground with less features than the games from 2 generations ago
Well it's a little early to judge considering all of the footage you are referring to has a line at the bottom stating "PRE-RELEASE DEVELOPMENT BUILD; NOT FINAL QUALITY". I will wait to play the game, the final build, before judging it.
Completely agree with you Alan. It's been 6 years.. and for what? A piss filter over Fm7? I knew this game would be a let down from the moment the first initial preview of the game was a static shot of a river that was no where near the track. T10 were rightfully roasted when they kept on saying 'built from the ground up' but kept showing recycled content and old reused car models from the 360 generation of games.
I’m not impressed either, Alan. I’ll play it because I love Forza, but this was hyped up as a big reboot for the series and being a current gen only game I expected more. I don’t really know what I expected but it looks like a slightly enhanced Forza 7. GT7 is cross gen and the car models look better than in this game. The whole car points thing doesn’t really do it for me either.
Y agregar que el motor gráfico del juego no parece haber cambiado. Tuvieron la oportunidad de vencer al Gran Turismo y la desperdiciaron. Lamento mucho haber comprado la Serie X por este juego de old gen. Fuera Turn 10
I always can't get over the steering wheel animation, it just stops after 180 degrees or something. Driving with a steering wheel as controller its really off putting. And that we cant see HP in combination with kilometers/ metric settings. Hope they addressed that, and the weird tracklimits with the warning triangle system.
The Forza Motorsport series is what got me into sim racing, so there will always be a special place in my heat for it. However, now that my sim rig costs more than 7 Series X's, I'm insulted by the fact that Turn 10 doesn't even cater to my wheel. It's as if they don't want serious sim racing fans to play their games. And I think this is the main problem with the series, they are content to introduce fans to sim racing, but unwilling to do what it takes to keep those fans as they grow in the hobby.
The graphics don't look right to me. The car looks great, but it doesn't match the track, it just looks fake. I would rather the cars be toned down and more emphasis put on the track and shadows.
These triple A studios with massive budgets don’t know how to make games anymore. They just exist to employ people. I’m sure it’ll be chocked full of bugs too.
Apparently it was old build. But even gfx wise it is a let down. They still have 3 months to polish it. They are also going PD route so the game will improve overtime I guess. But PD themselves are slacking big time so Forza has to deliver so that we have healthy competition.
@@beyond72deepsoulfulhousemixes It's an ALPHA build, it's how it should look, then there is the BETA build and then final build. For being an Alpha build it looked great
The only thing that excites me right now is the racing car selection. There's some really cool sportscars. However, as you say, they have not addressed in any way what sets this entry apart, nor have they even mentioned using a wheel, let alone a gameplay demo. Hoping to be pleasantly surprised, not holding my breath.
They've talked a lot about advancing wheel support. Theres a Q&A on the forums with a lot more actual info about the game than the actual trailer and preview get into. But then again, they're all just words.
If Turn 10 produces a demo, I'll make my judgement then. If not, then I have to wait until it's released, and try it for myself. To me the game looks like more of the same and even though they did better with the June showcase, Turn 10's modus operandi did not appear to change. Blow smoke up everyone's ass and the fanboys will giddily and pledge pre-orders. They have to show me that the litany of issues with FM7 has been fixed before I even consider buying the game but, so far there's nothing compelling me to buy it.
100% agreed on all of the criticism. I was hoping with breaking the naming convention there will be a refocus on actual motorsport. Instead of differentiating FM from Horizon, they seem to bring them closer and closer together, to the point where FM doesn't even have a reason to exist anymore.
I'm completely with you on the AI "racing." Why are so many of them just driving side by side for so long and no real attempt to take a racing line. The big thing that bother me is the live service aspect and rotation of campaign events. Why? If you want to add some as time goes on, great. But why remove them? I don't want to schedule when I"m going to playing my games. I got burned out on that crap in Horizon having to play every week just to keep up and get the new cars.
We’ll just have to see, I already have Gamepass anyways. FM7 was disappointing, but so has GT7 to me. Maybe console racing just isn’t for me anymore and I need to get a PC for the more realistic racing sims.
I was hoping for actual class racing but then they again seem to put any GT and even some Touring cars into one Forza GT class which does not make much sense. Then again no qualifying, and I really hope they at least get tires right this time. So if it rains, you need other tires and not only some programed twitchiness...
I just hope it does not have some x-games / dirt-series menu system with some over enthusiastic fake voice over coach solo career mode (which you can't skip).
Basically taken one good game Forza motorsport 4, and then lost the way and ended up with two poor games horizon and Forza 5 and plus for us sim fans. Thx god we got gt7. I remember ps3 days my preference used to be Forza 4 on my Xbox.
The developers are VERY open minded to add features and functiona over time, IF the community requests and upvotes stuff in the Forza suggestions hub. Also, Forza M. and Gran Turismo are the FIFAs of digital racing, so there's not much change and innovation to be expected between two consecutive titles, except there's a jump to a new gen, which is when they pull off big efforts and make everything from scratch.
Having played all the GT series, the best GT game was GT4. After that it became a visual masterpiece but the AI is just a not realistic. In that point the 2 ganes hehave the sane.
Hate to admit i’m not impressed so far either. This looks like what you’d expect if the game came out 2 years after FM7. For as long as its been in development, I expected more photorealistic
The steering wheel drives me crazy, I'd rather they let us remove the wheel and driver completely. What we need from a sim is beamng damage and physics with forza style campaign and progress, but where you must race to make money, not given 1mil credits for loading up the game can't stand that crap
They’ve made the game very handset friendly, but what’s really annoying me is it’s the same tracks over and over again, project cars 3 had more real world tracks, and that game was no where near as big as forza, being an Xbox x owner I have to say gran turismo looks more of a game than forza,I want race cars not my mums hatchback
The leveling up of each car to be able to modify them, is something that is slightly concerning. I'm curious how it plays out, but I'm sure there will be some backlash from the mass audience who are used to recent Forza titles.
Oh yeah, I've looked in on Forza's community and everybody HATES it, but some like it. Only issue is that it's artificial progression. Others are reasonably arguing that all they had to do was take out or reduce the wheelspins so you don't get a bunch of new cars every single level and adjust payouts accordingly, problem solved. Imagine if we took our cars IRL to a performance shop and a guy told you to give your car a wash, detail it, and drive it another 10k miles BEYOND the 500-1500 mile break-in period if the car is new before he can install that new Borla or Flowmaster exhaust you want. When put like that...damn.
VVV, it's the Truth! I'm fully invested in Xbox SeriesX and Forza Motorsport is trending like Halo Infinite. TRASH! "Built from the ground up"... on a sand castle of LIES! 🤬
Very underwhelmed by the graphics I have to say - maybe because GT7 looks so pretty ? I hope the driving model is much improved ! Like you said, the game looks dead - no soul. To be fair to Forza we had drivers falling off the track in GTR1 when we had some drivers driving their own cars at Donington on release, I recall Anthony Kumpen ? going into the Melbourne Loop at around 140km/h in 4th gear and crashing, when in fact he would in RL not an hour before been in 2nd gear apexing around 65km/h , but that was in part because we so poorly convey the sense of speed compared to real life, and because drivers back then were not used to proper racing games - drivers now are much more familiar thankfully :D
Nailed it Alan, they’re too focused on big stats and fancy tech of ray tracing etc rather than getting the physics and the thrill of racing accurate. I’m genuinely concerned for this and even feel that the career is going to feel mundane. P.s I’d remove that PlayStation sign behind you for future vids as you’ll be accused of being a fanboy and bashing Forza even though I know 100% you are and always will be neutral and honest in your criticism
I think since the beginning of the Xbox one era (Forza 5) Turn10 and Microsoft prefer to talk more about technical gimmicks than about the things that really make a game (gameplay, handling etc.) Something is going very wrong...
Well said Alan. Exactly how I feel watching the footage. The graphics don't bother me that much as long as they nail the physics which I don't have any faith that they will judging by the footage so far. Forza has always been a controller first game unfortunately and I don't think that's ever going to change.
i had a go at ACC, GT Sport and FM7 again last night, for a refresher. And yep, the physics on FM7 are horrible, make no sense. Was driving the Porsche 911 RSR at Le Mans (SPA for ACC) and that car had zero grip, no matter what speed i was going. Every corner was a nightmare as i was trying to figure out how slow i had to go to make it happen. That usually meant having the AI getting past me every time. No such problem in the other games. How anybody at Turn 10 thought that they had a good physics model at the time is beyond me. Yes, they dropped the ball after FM4, and so far there is nothing in this new title that made me go "oh yeah!!". Just the usual talk about things that mean nothing. The visuals still look like a videogame, albeit in 4K. Nothing stunning anywhere. I will play it on day one, on GamePass, and I hope it delivers this time. But my hopes are not very high. At least there is still FH5.
The track surface looks flat and unappealing again. They ruined Nords from Forza motorsport 5 onwards. Removing bumps. Widening the track. Making curbs feel like wet cardboard. All to appease casuals. I have a feeling it's more of the same again. It's why I purchased a Moza r9 base last year and converted to RFactor 2 and Raceroom.
The wheel being static is good visual feedback for controllers. Your thumbstick is set dead center ideally when you're not giving steering input. But on wheel control, you ideally would have your minor inputs registered ingame. If your character was visibly making all kinds of micro adjustments ingame it would throw you off a bit on your controller inputs. Not significantly, but you can experience that in dirt games because your character visibly does those center fighting adjustments, and on controller it tends to make you feel unconfident in your small inputs because you're getting those little visual feedback that contradicts your own from the visible wheel. You did bring up a bunch of other good points though, especially with the gameplay in the Nissan. Like the fact the suspension travel looks very visible on your car, but the other cars look static. And I'm hoping the AI winds up doing a better job then they did in that race in the final product. Its allegedly running off a better generative AI system than before, Time will tell. But I believe the track smoothness and lack of definition is due to it being a brand new track and presumably fresh laid tarmac. Because in last years presentation they pointed out track definition in detail on Maple Valley, It would be pretty criminal for it to wind up being smooth as glass like the one they showed.
Thanks for the comment! I disagree about the current cockpit wheel input being good for controllers. Plenty of great racing games feature 360 - 900 degree steering with wheel vibration in cockpit view. All feel more authentic, none that I have experienced have detracted from the precision of play.
@@TeamVVV I agree. Dirt Rally 2.0 for instance does a great job of this. Feels excellent on controller. Also Project Cars 2. Heck I even play Assetto Corsa on controller. Racing fast cars is very hard on controller, but driving around and time attacks... so great. That game is god knows how many years old, but it still feels and looks sensational. The wind noise, the car sounds, the simulation.. brilliant. That’s along the lines i was hoping Forza Motorsport would be. At least as satisfying as FM4
Looking at reviews really puts into perspective how much Im not paying attention to everything within the game😂. I enjoyed Forza 6 and 7 when they came out. Sure the cars didn’t handle ideally, but the games always had something I found fun. I have a wide imagination, so there are hundreds of things I wanted to do and still want to do. The graphics and physics could be worked on (I hope the new game’s graphics is greater than or equal to the graphics of FH5), but what they did in the previous games was more than acceptable for me. Forza Motorsport may not be perfect, but I’m still excited on most of the features they have brought to the table
The gameplay of a Nissan Z pootling round was underwhelming to say the least, hopefully they show actual race cars racing next time, is that too much to ask?
Great preview @Team VVV we share the same opinion and afraid the only new racing game this year will be WRC23 for me, besides the new F1 and ACC DLC. As I have no serious hope for the new Crew.
Completely agree with Alan. This isnt a sim at all its just another forza 7. From the very start i saw it it looked off. Graphics are nothing special and look like GRID. Cartoony and high colour garbage. Jesus christ can anyone just make a real sim for a console? Wheres the movement in the dash on the wheel? Its static and looks stupid. Wheres the tilting and inertia? Suspension? Its an arcade game and if you look closely the car actually hovers above the road. Rubbish
I want top notch physics too. This will mean as a console gamepad user, that they remove "ALL" in-game stuff that alters how it feels, I don't want any assistance at all when driving, as I'm fast enough without intervention. FM7 was shockingly bad. It's time for T10 to step up to the mark. I plan to try and play Forza 23 before I buy it. Then if T10 & XBox fail me, I won't buy the game and will sell my console. I've already walked away from PS5 and GT7, due to disappointment. I'll happily do that with XBox if required. I only play the driving games and prefer realism. So if Forza is a flop, I'll just sell up and stick to PC gaming...
What level of realism are you willing to accept if you dropped GT7? Because theres no way FM8 is going to be closer to sim realism and I dont know who may have convinced you otherwise.
I see in your channel that you are a Gran Turismo fan. The things you criticise about this FM footage (which has a banner that says "pre-release build. Not final quality') GT7 doesn't do particularly better: the vibration in the wheel as you mention, or the level of detail in the asphalt. Not to mention the cars look stiff and unrealistic movement in 3rd person. The environments look very poor in comparison with the highly polished cars. I don't know if you criticised those things on GT7
It always says “work in progress” on pre release footage for any game, but they never look much different at launch. Maybe some HUD changes or something but the core visuals will be finished.
So true, it's like he never watched his own gameplay of GT7 on YT and realized that it looks even more bland, from texturing to the stiffness of chase camera, lol.
Forza STILL doesn't have hand-over-hand steering. Like 20 years into the series and they still haven't modeled a driver turning a car more than 180 degrees... It's just indicative of the larger lack of vision with this series. They could've hand an upward trajectory after FM4, but it feels like Horizon got all the attention and now Motorsport is just lifeless.
This is pretty much the best video I've seen in regard to this franchise and upcoming game. You really hit the nail on the head in regard to the fact that it's been 6 years and what we all want is the physics to be right! I'm in the same boat as you, Alan, I would rather 100 cars that feel amazing then a high number of cars that don't. Also, you touch on the fact that it doesn't look real and I feel Forza has always been that way, the lighting has never been anywhere near as good as say Gran Turismo which looks almost real at times. The tracks as well, where is the life in the surface? The movement in the vehicle. As a long time watcher of yours since the FM4 days, I truly appreciate this video and thank you. :)
Its not Forza 8 though. You no longer buy upgrades for the cars. Fromthe presentation they showed theres a few changes that I dont like and puts me off the game.
The only guy I'll trust on this game after his Forza Horizon review where he hit the nail on the head for me. I'd not feel anyone else will be honest. I've tried Forza Horizon with wheel and it felt pants, yet no one ever mentioned the same problem I had with it except Alan. Now whether we're both old and going senile, or we are experienced enough to know things aren't what they should be, well that's for others to judge. But here, at first glance this new Forza doesn't seem to offer much more than the past, and I stopped with Forza MS after 4. I tried a demo of a later game and it felt bad. Forza Horizon though I play as a pad game but that has issues of its own. So here I want the new MS Forza to be good, but it doesn't seem like they understand where they went wrong in the first place which is surely not a great sign. They also seem to think they understand motorsports and yet I'm not sure they genuinely have watched any at all. Sad indeed.
I agree. Even for the Horizon series, FH2 used to be great and sounded great for the cars, now the cars in fh5 doesn’t sound near accurate. Even though turn 10 said they have taken the sounds from real life, but in the game its completely different. I see no difference between the RB26 and 2JZ in FH5 whereas in other games like assetto corsa, Gran Turismo, FH2 the difference is night and day, fh5 sounds more artificial than being realistic. So as for the new FM 2023, I am not putting too much expectations.
I don't know what's wrong with your eyes, but you can clearly see the suspension work on all the other cars too. The track surface looks fine to me. It has skidmarks and stuff on it. What else do you need? Forza Horizon 5 looks stunning and realistic to me. The lighting during the day looks damn impressive. I know it will be the same with the new Forza Motorsport.
Saludos
also not impressed at all by the latest showing. it really does not look that much better than FM7 at all. yes sounds seem to have improved but the way the car moved, the replays, honestly, its FM7.5 i have no idea what Turn 10 is doing but the game simply does not look that good compared to GT7, and its supposed to be current gen console and pc only? well... what where they doing 6 years i ask. Just start FM7 on your PC and look at that dubai track in 4k max details, it looks almost of the same quality like what we just saw in kyalami.
Alot of people dont understanding the difference between being negative and realistic and before anyone says im just hating on forza i have over 10k hrs on fm2,4,6,7 combined and i have played actual sims so eveything he says is correct they had 5 years what have they done pretty much nothing alot of these cars look like copy paste from horizon 5 somthing they've done for a long time then claim "built from the ground up" if you want to experience what a wheel will feel like on fm2023 go play horizon 5 it'll be same or a bit better everyone thinks the "48x" means its 48x better no its not all it means is tpure going to feel the tire a bit more now i might sound like im hating but im not i sure hope im wrong and they give us the best forza yet but i wont hold my breath giving their track record

I agree with you in general. The problem is that many people are fooled by beautiful graphics and convince themselves that a game is better than a game with less good graphics just because of its graphics.
I would love to see a good online mode like ACC or GT. Something with a rating. Otherwise it's pure carnage
There will be online and safety rating so that is promising 👍🏼
It really does look bland doesn’t it. It’s just a shinier version of 7…
Very mistake 😊
looking bland isnt a problem if you can make it look photorealistic. gran turismo does that, forza just cannot.
Another thing is, it feels like I've been playing the same game, with features being added, or stripped out, same old tracks, same old cars, for 20 years.
I'm not sure if there is anything that either Gran Turismo or Forza M can do, to recapture that magic 🤔
that's how game franchise works-
Wait till you play the game then feel 😊
Everything you said! Looks again to be a race game that was directed by the sales department instead of the racing, car enthusiast department. Putting much spit and polish on its looks, hiring some sales pitch people to try and stir up excitement. But in the end, it will just be another bland attempt to fulfill the dreams of car buffs. I hope I'm wrong. But seeing their bragged about, car damage model. I can only conclude the whole game will be a teaspoon of added things the audience have always begged for in a bowl of the same old brew.
It just looks like Forza 7 again
i guess it looks a bit better like better texture resolution, but the whole artistic approach and the underlying game engine is absolutely the same and one can see this, it's really a bit embarassing that they come up with this after 6 years.

Can you make a video about The Crew Motorfest? I'm curious what do you think of the game so far
Acc is still king for console sims for me, I hope forza can rival or better it as success breeds success but I agree I think it's more of the same
Nope gran turismo 7 is although I racing, acc, raceroom etc are good in pc
@@olavofernandes7286 just my opinion mate nothing more
They refuse to commit to either making it more of a sim, or bringing back all the fun/social features of FM3 and FM4.
Oh its the "lets wait until final build nonsense again" is it? Cmon man people are a bit tired of
hearing that now.
I agree That they should aim for realistic handling.
Game was 4k 60 back then so it look the same . We have to wait to see how it play different
Forza Motorsport 3 and 4 had so great physics. It was incredibly satisfying
Imagine if Turn 10 spoke with Kunos and said, "You're not using the engine from Assetto Corsa 1 any more, can we buy it off you for our Forza games?"
Did you not read what new feature they have its a huge leap from forza 7.
Have you been keeping up to date with The Crew Motorfest. It seems to be the next Forza Horizon.
Content soon.
"pre-release development build: not final quality"
Will you be doing an F1 2023 review
A sort of review chat thing should be up tomorrow.
It looks washed out
The driving feels to smooth and safe
Forza lost its soul a long time ago.
These triple A studios with massive budgets don’t know how to make games anymore. They just exist to employ people. I’m sure it’ll be chocked full of bugs too.
Will you be paying for a copy?
Apparently it was old build. But even gfx wise it is a let down. They still have 3 months to polish it. They are also going PD route so the game will improve overtime I guess. But PD themselves are slacking big time so Forza has to deliver so that we have healthy competition.
Nope polyphony digital are improving not slacking they taking their time adjusting car physic monthly update etc way better than forza
i just want the car handling physics to be better especially on a ffb wheel, forza 5,6, and 7 all felt off and not so great especially on a ffb wheel.
Love your honesty Alan, keep it up!
Can't wait to see what he says about TDU SC because that looked ROUGH!
The things I'd do for them to re release FM4 on Xbox one :(
As soon as I saw an m8 gte racing a Ferrari 330 , I knew it was just another forza game. The series died after 4
I'm completely with you on the AI "racing." Why are so many of them just driving side by side for so long and no real attempt to take a racing line.
The big thing that bother me is the live service aspect and rotation of campaign events. Why? If you want to add some as time goes on, great. But why remove them? I don't want to schedule when I"m going to playing my games. I got burned out on that crap in Horizon having to play every week just to keep up and get the new cars.
I love to see you try and beat them and then make review saying if it suck or blow your mind.
The ai was on level 4 of 10
We’ll just have to see, I already have Gamepass anyways. FM7 was disappointing, but so has GT7 to me.
Maybe console racing just isn’t for me anymore and I need to get a PC for the more realistic racing sims.
Maybe it's what you want from the game etc
I was hoping for actual class racing but then they again seem to put any GT and even some Touring cars into one Forza GT class which does not make much sense. Then again no qualifying, and I really hope they at least get tires right this time. So if it rains, you need other tires and not only some programed twitchiness...
I just hope it does not have some x-games / dirt-series menu system with some over enthusiastic fake voice over coach solo career mode (which you can't skip).
Even the crew m has 900 wheel animation, sad, but let's see.
Looks awesome, cant wait
Trouble is, if the community take offense to observations I've highlighted. How can they be relied upon to objectively improve the game?
Forza motorsport is a arcade fast food game for fast food casual xbox players.
It just scream 'built from the ground up' to me, more 'copy and pasted' but prettier
Forza 4 was so good at the time. I want to race over Fujimi Kaido again !!!
Gran turismo 7 graphic engine still the best even the manufacture oem colours are authentic
There's a Turn 10 sign behind my head as well which I was given by the devs 12 years ago.
Well said Alan. Exactly how I feel watching the footage.
The graphics don't bother me that much as long as they nail the physics which I don't have any faith that they will judging by the footage so far.
Forza has always been a controller first game unfortunately and I don't think that's ever going to change.
Yes the physics is far more advanced the most advanced you seen.
i had a go at ACC, GT Sport and FM7 again last night, for a refresher.
After I’ve played VR I’m GT7 if a racing game doesn’t have it it’s completely irrelevant to me.
Main thing is to play the games you enjoy. Everybody gets something different from the experience, some are more divisive than others.
I feel like all games in general hit a brick wall around the beginning of last gen. Zero innovation, nothing interesting, maybe im just growing up
Agree with just about everything u point out.. Great vid✌️
Rubbish
Just give me tag virus on tracks like FM3 and 4. The most skill based FUN in a forza game by ann huge margin.

Definitely I understood why TURN 10 do not show the game.
Just few very small video about the game.
Its not Forza 8 though. You no longer buy upgrades for the cars. Fromthe presentation they showed theres a few changes that I dont like and puts me off the game.
GT7 was a disappointment and now the new Forza looks just as meh… a real shame since I was looking forward to both for almost a decade!
Let's be honest. This game will live or die with the online.
@@kronosbalmond6472you are straight up lying. The car sounds in horizon 5 are BY FAR the best. They sound by far the most realistic.

Saludos

Forza Motorsport 2 was my favorite.

also not impressed at all by the latest showing. it really does not look that much better than FM7 at all.
yes sounds seem to have improved but the way the car moved, the replays, honestly, its FM7.5
i have no idea what Turn 10 is doing but the game simply does not look that good compared to GT7, and its supposed to be current gen console and pc only? well... what where they doing 6 years i ask. Just start FM7 on your PC and look at that dubai track in 4k max details, it looks almost of the same quality like what we just saw in kyalami.
