Motorsport 4 was one of the only games ever, where every single car in the game had it's sound recorded from the real life car. They did a behind the scenes showing it.
Gran turismo was doing that car with no interior stuff then too 💀
@@worldwar1424 not how turn 10 studios did it… if I remember correctly, they recorded the sounds of the car, and then used algorithms to re-create those sounds in real time using recordings of the real car, depending on the RPM of the car in the game. It has been like 12-13 years though so… 🤷♂️

One of the things that made this game so perfect is that they had top gear, a childhood staple.
One of my favorite parts of the game was Clarkson’s narrations in Autovista mode.
I was like I know that voice but can't be Clarkson... A great idea to feature them

Even though I’m more a Gran Turismo fan, I have to admit Forza Motorsport 4 is incredible and is one that I will come back to every once in a while. :)

I remember my dad came home one evening with Motorsport 4 and as soon as he installed it and he gave me a go I couldn’t stop playing it until we sold the 360 8 years later
This game is so legendary. The variety of cars and tracks and the simple progression of going from cheap city cars and working your way up is all we ask for. Why do no modern games do this
The reboot of FM is giving you that and more so, the way they are handling car progress is inane, and more progress based than anything else other there, people’s misunderstanding of that games car progress is just whats wrong with gamers not the designers, the guy even clearly said you could refund the points you earn to then spend those points to get parts, so if you like a drift build no problem spend the points build your car out then save the build, now you want to change the build to a drag build no problem refund the points, and build a drag build and save the build, it’s so simple yet people are crying about how the game is ruined lol
@@carlosmartinez3020 Honestly, i think it's a minority of people, mostly die hard or enthusiasts or hardcore fans that asks for super long progress, I personally don't mind the type of Progress forza Horizon 5 does, i'm just a casual player that likes to have little fun, There are a bunch of other games i wanna play & other things i want to do than just gaming all day, i don't want to feel like i'm entitled to just focus on one game & have to farm super long in order to progress & then never have time for other things to do
& now Forza Motorsport is probably going to be a long progress, and i'm not sure i am a fan of that, but i do agree i feel like even so, people will still complain about it, when they've asked about longer progress, which is understandable to a certain degree, i hope the car level up is just one time for each car model, and that you don't have to start over for the duplicates, otherwise this is going to kill the game fun

So, the reason it came with 2 disks is because the second disk was to install the DLCs since they stopped selling them digitally.
I know because I had the same thing with FM3.
better than dropping the dlc`s because they got deleted digital. why not do it for more games ......

This brings back so many amazing memories of unicorn cars and modded tunes AND HOSTING PRIVATE LOBBIES WHICH SOMEHOW HASNT COME BACK, tandem and drag lobbies, fujimi kiado (probably spelt wrong) but god just so so many memories.
Motorsport 4 is beyond the best Forza game ever. If the new Motorsport is anything like it, we are in for a great time

LMP1 Race Cars from FM4 kinda reminded me to LMP1 race cars from GT4 and GT2 Project A Spec Mod.

I’m still playing this daily in my garage (man cave) progressing through it again. Such an epic game, from the physics to progression , it’s all brilliant.
It hurts so bad that all my rivals leaderboards are dead and gone. :( Went back to this a week ago to check to see if I was still in the top 100 lap times in A class on Bathurst. Only to find its all gone. :(
Motorsport 4 is unmatched. I dont get how they managed to downgrade over the years lol
Don’t forget the online multiplayer was the best I’ve ever experienced for a racing game. It was so much fun. You could create your own lobbies and settings and meet lots of great car guys :)

@@truthisweareallgonnadie.The servers were shut down this year unfortunately so no Rivals, Auction house or livery store. But you can still create and look for lobbies because it uses peer2peer (as well as Forza horizon 1), thing is theres barely any players left, I still search occasionally for anyone online in the quick race lobby lol
This is the game that got me started on cars, playing this all the time when I was 6 years old
This was one of the first actual racing games I played as a kid in 2012. I used to play it with my brother and dad (who enjoyed it because Clarkson was a VA in it lol).

holy this gave me such huge nostalgia watching you play, i remember coming home from school everyday and griding all the challenges to buy my favorite cars! And the top gear collab, hearing clarksons voice was so damn exciting!

I played it back then, put hundreds of hours into it and made great memories within the actual community. Then moved on and last year I bought a 360 again and the old Forzas. And boy do feel FM3 and FM4 great. They really have something that all the modern games lack but I actually can't describe it. FM6 was great as well but I could not get that deep into it, I thought it comes with age, but it isn't.
Forza 4 is undoubtedly the best Forza game. The atmosphere, the track and car list, hell even FORZAVISTA! So many memories racing in the alps.
As much as I love Forza Horizon 1, Motorsport 4 is easily A Cut Above It

Actually, it wasn't even called Forzavista in FM4. More like "Autovista".
I remember getting this for Christmas 2011. Still my fav forza Motorsport title. 4 had it all. Best cars,races,soundtracks and pacing. Glad to see you playing it Theo!
It is also my favourite game along with GRAN TURISMO 1 to 5. Even Coco Hayashi still played both GT5 & FORZA MOTORSPORT 4 till this very day!

I've wanted every subsequent Forza game to be FM4 sonce 2011; and every single one of them has fallen waaay short. FM4 is at the top of the heap. It's the shining jewel. It is perfection.
Damn this is the game that I've recently been makin my own drift tunes in. Gotta love togue drifting in Fujimi Kaido.
I remember the days when you played FM4 on your new Xbox 360 with split screen with your friends sitting on a couch. These were good days....
the car list in this game was one of the reasona i got into forza, the memories i have w this game are soo nostalgic, old le mans racing back and fourth on the strip, Saleen S7 being one of the fastest cars in the game
Absolutely loved thay you just start in little old everyday cars. It's a shame most newer racing games don't have these sort of everyday traffic cars
As a longtime diehard fan of Nijigasaki High School Idol Club, this is the TRUE best Forza game and also one of the top 10 best racing games ever. It had everything! Even Coco Hayashi (Setsuna's new VA) also loves Forza Motorsport 4 especially the Fujimi Kaido track!
Still holds up amazingly and I still play it.
For the Motorsport side of the franchise, 4 was the peak. My playtime per title has decreased with each new iteration, from hundreds and hundreds of hours in FM4, down to, oh, probably less than 10 total hours on FM7.
Motorsport 4 was the first racing game I ever played on a console after the 3ds. The Jeremy clarkson intro gave me all the nostalgic memories. This game is legendary. I miss this game. Love the content pants.
This is one of the games I whish I could experience fresh again, and 15:52 Engine swap has been a thing since the first one on OG Xbox. That also had some of the best areo option of any game so far. The Supra body kit was lit. Golf engine swap glich more or less gives you unlimited money in that game. So you can mod everything out of the box fast.
It mode and foot ball were epic. i did races only in singleplayer because online someone caused always a havoc. Clarkson fitted that so well too!
Started with Forza Motorsport 3 after transitioning from Gran Turismo and never looked back. Motorsport 4 was the last time the franchise made the gaming experience better, it is by far the best one to ever exist.
Its timeless personality is a big reason why it’s still an amazing game to this day

disc 2 is basically the dlc car install. Some examples of cars that you cant get unless you have the content installed from disc two is the BMW M3 GTR’s. You can het the GT3 base game, disc 2 will allow you to buy either M3 GTR. Obviously more cars are available with disc 2 but thats the beauty of giving an example of two cars that are added
I remember the time my uncle bought me this game back in 2011 as a Christmas gift and I played it everyday. I’m hoping to play it again one day.
Forza Motorsport 4, alongside WipEout Pure, are racing games I would definitely cherish forever, and are among the greatest I’ve ever played.
To experience the full richness of the game, I suggest you get your 360 jailbroken so you can have all the DLC’s installed.
FM4 was so great. the car list alone was phenomenal.

Oh, my goodness... Finally, I got to see my favorite streamer playing one of my all-time favorite racing games. This game can only be described as a "legend," with its visual quality, captivating gameplay, extensive vehicle roster, realistic physics engine, and an outstanding soundtrack. Even by today's standards, it remains highly competitive (except visual lol). Speaking of the soundtrack, my top two favorites are EV and Paris Rouen. To this day, I find myself revisiting them every few days, just to relive the excitement.
I really hope that the new Forza or other racing games developed by different companies can bring back that same exhilarating feeling we had before, rather than just being a rehash of old ideas.

Man what a throwback. I remember coming home from school and hopping in a tag or drift lobby with the boys and having a blast for hours. We also created a drifting "clan" and tried to make montages on an elgato and windows movie maker thinking we were gonna blow up 😅 I wish I could get that footage back. What a time to be a gamer.

I'm playing it now, it's so well put together. It's like they combined all the learnings from previous games to make something that's FUN -- the previous gaming era was all about creativity, quality design, and enjoyment.
Not like the modern era at all which can be summed up as slot machine cash grab corporate crap.

This was my childhood, I had so many great memories on here. I met people on here I still call friends today. Joining drift teams, drift battles, drag racing, cruises. The game is the best ever!
disk 2 isn't essential but it doubles the car list and I think adds more tracks too

Forza Motorsport 4 was definitely the best for the time. Take what is in there and merge it with vinyl editor these days and it would be the best game every even with nothing else changed.

7:22 its not the auto braking, the red rumble strip things are super sticky and slow u down, that track used to drive me crazy when I was a kid

I had a ps3 also and i remember going ro visit my little bro in Uni and being the car guy i am he showed me this, i remember the next day going into my local GAME trading in my ps3 and buying a 360 and this game 😂 The game had drum n bass in the soundtrack too, it was like it was made with me in mind 😅
Crossing the red zones is the same effect as a sand trap, slows you that way.
As someone who didn't have a 360, I hate that I missed the greatest Motorsport game. They should just remaster this.

This was the first Forza game I bought (which was a couple years ago), saving up to get the Series X to play the latest Forza Motorsport when it comes out.
I find that the older games have better handling than the newer releases

The cars in this game actually produce a vtec sound
One of the best motorsport games i played yet so far (evn if it was on an emulator). Finally got my hands on an XBOX 360 now so will do a complete runthrough on this game myself!! And do make sure to install disc 2, since it contains all the bonus content like additional cars in autovista, new tracks, cars, races and all!

I want to go back to the year I first played this game.
The fact that this game runs at a constant 60fps with zero frame drops on a 512mb of ram is insane! They literally pushed 360 to its limits with this one.
Fun fact: this was their first game to have image base lighting.
Image-based lighting basically means that the cars are lit by the image of the environment around them. So if you put that car anywhere in the world, it will be lit correctly. You haven't got to fake it, you haven't got to bake it. The cars are totally real-time image-based lit. That's one of the reasons they look good.
Putting this at 0:19. Im guessing its Forza Motorsport 4. It was and still is my all time favorite Forza game. That and FH3.

I remember playing Forza Motorsport 4 with my little brother and it's very fun my uncle used cheats to get 999,999,999 million dollars in it and was like fun because just having not to worry about money was like just more fun because I would just max out all the cars I bought and just had fun doing it brings me back years ago

I just spent a couple of days getting Motorsport 4. It's even better with Project Forza Plus 4 but you need to use Xenia. Most of the issues are fixed with the mod and it's just a drag and drop process. It even comes with all of the DLC. Playing Forza Motorsport on PC is pretty wild. Especially if it's your first time playing it like it was mine.
