Fantastic review mate, glad you liked my car. I did love how you talked about crashing your own Fiesta by reversing it into another car right when you was reversing my own car 😆 Smashing stuff Armagan, literally! 🤣
The 1.6 St has 180, but on flooring the throttle it has 200 for something like 20 secs. They called it overboost. This version also has artificial sound through the speakers. It sounds good but the exhaust not so much.
Thanks Harry, the owner mentioned it had 180bhp but I forgot to correct it so I made a pinned comment! I also spoke with the owner afterwards and I said it sounded so good, in fact too good for a four cylinder and he did say some noise was pumped it.
@@ArmaganDemiral it has basically 197 hp (as the US version - it has the same engine), however, the full boost is given only when you floor it (for 20 seconds). But if you get your foot off the gas, and floor it again it basicaly resets. From my experience you can´t really notice anything different (well I mean if you floor it, it gets faster right :D ) but apparently it changes the RPM curve and increase torque (but I think it is kind of a normal function of the ECU to give more boost the more throttle you apply). They did that so they could claim it has 183 for emission and insurance reasons. This is also backed up by the fact that the US version has the same 0-100 (eventhough one claims 197 bhp and the other 183 bhp)
This model doesn't have engine sound induced by speakers, the new model has. The MK7 ST uses the symposer to make an additional intake/camshaft sound on the cabin, it's not artificial or electric, it's just like a little membrane that vibrates with the boost.
That's why i opted for the st-1, they're the only mk7.5 st that you have to put the key in the ignition to start so none of this keyless theft worry for me, just a shame they're quite rare, took ages to find the colour, age and milleage i wanted
@@craig1996 I bought a 2014 St1 a month ago. It's not a very popular car in my country (civics mostly get stolen every minute) but I, nonetheless, installed an alarm with GPS tracker and ordered a obd lock as it sleeps outside. I'm definitely loving the car and I want it to stay on my hands for a long time! Enjoy your car! Cheers!
@@ArmaganDemiral Same with the Focus ST. They made that decision in 2018, when Ford announced they were gonna be concentrating on the Mustang, SUVs and pickup trucks for North America. I made a mistake in the video! *The Ford Fiesta ST comes with 180bhp*
182

Great review pal, can tell you enjoyed that. Sounds well. The way they handle is what makes them special, nice b road blasters
Hits the country roads well Ed, cheers my dude

Induction kit is a much for any turbo petrol car just for the sound
You forgot the over boost which takes it up to nearly 200 hp
Brilliant drivers cars from what I hear. I do love these but I wouldn't own one because of the reputation and how often they get stolen
Lots of anti theft kit needed
