A few years ago I started really getting into detailing my own vehicles, I was so overwhelmed with options, I like the simplicity that you offer, thanks Pan 👍😁
I know exactly what you mean, there's so much info out there. That's why I am blessed to have a sizeable audience and over the years, by having all the discussions with my viewers, I understood that people are looking for a simple, yet high performance product line. So when I started developing my brand, it was important to keep things simple, and delivery on user experience and product performance. And I think we have achieved that goal. :)
Yeah in my 27 years of detailing, and especially in my almost 9 years of making TH-cam videos, I obsessed in the pursuit of testing products from different brands and try to find the best ones out there, so one can say I went overboard haha. And in there aren't even the products I threw out over time, or the extras sitting in other cabinets.
Guys, you know this market is so saturated that its impossible to come up with something so innovative that’s gonna beat everyone. polishing paint is a skill you could take the cheapest pad and the cheapest polisher but you take a skillful person and they’re gonna make your car look amazing. At this point it’s all about user experience whether you like something or not. Kevin Brown polished and corrected entire car with lotion. Yes, I said body lotion.
One thing I did notice in almost 9 years of doing TH-cam videos and product tests/comparisons is that competition also is at an all time high, which means we're in a period in time where there are now many great brands producing great products. The same couldn't be said just 5 years ago, where there were only a few top tier brands, and many average of below average brands to pick from. So yes there is a certain level of market saturation, but at the same time you are almost guaranteed to get excellent products as long as you stick to good brands.
Great to see you and Andy back at it! Also great to see the new pads! The only downside to the forced rotation machine is that it doesn’t free spin. To me it doesn’t work well with the pad washer. Otherwise, I really enjoyed! And those results 🤌✨
Thank you! And I agree with you, forced rotation don't quite get the pads as dry as a dual action or rotary polishers do, when using pad washers. I usually have to use a microfiber towel to wick out the excess moisture after the pad washer step, when using a forced rotation hehe. And yeah the hood was pretty beat up with water spotting, and there's pitting everywhere, but the results speak for themselves. My brother's eyes couldn't believe the increase in gloss and depth and "pop" from the metallic finish. I explained to him that the biggest increase in measurable gloss always comes from paint correction. The paint protection you add afterwards can help bump by a few gloss units, and yes does beautify the paint (candy like gloss, jetting effect, etc), but nothing brings gloss up as much as true paint correction. :)
Hey Pan, I’m interested in a video for a start to finish guide. What products you would use and best practices. I missed out on the 2024 guide and would like to get an updated video as your old videos are a bit outdated. Thanks.
You will see a few special things that were done to Andy's car after this video, in the coming weeks. I can't saw more. ;) But when spring time comes, we will do a full decon, machine polishing, and applying the CLEAN By Pan 8-year coating most likely. :)
Thanks Jim! It was important for me to keep things simple and easy. I am not a fan of systems that confuse you with needing 10 compounds, 6 polishes, 12 pads, etc lol.
Generally speaking, you usually want to follow up with a jewelling pad after using a cutting pad. But if the finish looks good enough to you after the cutting pad you could just leave it. However if you specifically want to do a 1 step correction it would be best to use the one step pad
The cutting pad finishes down nicely on its own, but it's still always recommended to follow up a cutting stage with a polishing or refining stage. You could decide to just use the cutting pad, buff off, then panel prep spray, and then observe the results. If the paint looks good to you at that point, and you don't feel that you need a polishing step, then simply move on to the paint protection step. You are the boss. ;)
Pan, thanks for the review of your new pads. Rando question about the rinseless process. I'm washing my garage kept car every 2 weeks; does the rinseless provide enough protection from micro scratches when drying the car ?? It has Quick Beads on it now.
Yes, absolutely. The rinseless wash has tons of surfactants providing lubrication for towel drying. I've used a few rinseless washes at this point and Pan's is the slickest feeling during the drying process
Yes the CLEAN By Pan rinse-less wash has enough lubrication on the surface when using a microfiber drying towel to dry the car. Another cool trick is you can dilute the rinseless wash 64:1 (2 oz for every gallon of water) in a spray bottle, and use that as an additional drying aid when towel drying, it will provide even more slickness, gloss and lubrication. That's an off-label use thanks to Eddie Colon from EC Details, one of my product testers.
Thank you! I give a lot of credit to my viewers, as I'm blessed to have a sizeable audience and over the years, by having all the discussions with my viewers, I understood that people are looking for a simple, yet high performance product line. So when I started developing my brand, it was important to keep things simple, and delivery on user experience and product performance. And I think we have achieved that goal. :)
Great video Pan!! Can’t wait to get my hands on these new innovative products! I know you worked really hard on this line and you deserve the highest applause!👏🏽 congrats and the best of luck🔥💯❤️
So excited! Been waiting for these to become available to have my first go at polishing (20 year old car that’s never been polished, so I’m going 3 stage). Any recommendations for what to use for the little nooks and crannies the polisher can’t get to? A mini polisher isn’t in the budget. I do have some little polishing pads that attach to my dremel, and I’ve been looking at hand polishing pads (I assume Lake County’s would be good) or do I just use a microfiber towel?
Great pads! I am wondering why the blue polishing pad isnt waffled? A huge benefit to your system is all the extra shelf space you'll have when you keep the best and eliminate the rest,( you have a ton of products you'll no longer need.) "Keep it clean, keep it simple!" Or Keep the best, get rid of the rest"...
You'd like them if you try them! Not all pads are made to be waffled. I don't pretend to be a specialist on pads, so I rely on the expertise of top tier pads makers like Buff And Shine to guide me when we wanted to design a pad lineup that would pair well with the spray polish.
I love the system! I just went and got certified in installing Hydrosilux ceramic coatings for my business.. I told the guys in the class how awesome your products are, and the ease of your ceramic installation. Got to stay Loyal to my boy Pan!! I wanted to get your pro opinion on a couple things? 1. How many pads do you recommend per vehicle? Can I use 1 and keep cleaning? Or should I cycle them? 2. What are your thoughts on DI water for mobile guys? Is it overrated? 3. Can paint correction or ceramic coatings be done outside in hot weather? God bless and stay safe!
They are indeed awesome products. I'm sure Pan will give you a better answer but if I may humbly give you my own thoughts from personal experience.. 1. The important part is to have a fresh clean pad before you add any more polish. Whether you achieve that through multiple pads or cleaning pads doesn't seem to matter too much. 2. Depends on your method. I finish with rinseless if it's a hot sunny day so it's not very important to me. However, if you experience water spots or you find that you are constantly needing to dry the car, adding time to your detail, for sure a DI tank sounds useful. 3. Same answer as 2. If the heat is giving you a problem and you get more dusting/shorter working times you'll have to find a workaround. Basically, don't over think and see what works for you. Use a good system like Clean or Carpro (I see them as similar top tier brands) if you don't want to overcomplicate.
Thanks for wanting to show support! Here are my thoughts on your questions: 1. You can use just 1 pad and clean it with a pad washer after each section. Working with clean pads is crucial during paint correction. So in that case I would buy 2 pads, to have 1 in backup in case something happens. Or you can use the other technique of switching to a fresh pad after every other section. So you'd need 5 or 6 pads for an entire car. That's if you don't want to clean the pads between sections. Both methods are commonly used. 2. DI water is certainly amazing for mobile detailers, as it prevents water spotting issues especially when working in direct sunlight. And it allows you to have the best water when diluting chemicals on the fly. With DI water, even if you forget to dry the car after the final rinse, the water evaporates and leaves no mineral residue behind. So is DI water necessary? No. Is it amazing to have? Yes. 3. Ideally, paint correction and applying coatings is best done in the shade, or in a garage. On a cool surface. Heat is the enemy of any paint correction. And in warmer conditions, if the panel temperature rises too much, it can be a nightmare to apply ceramic coatings, as the user experience won't be good. But as mobile detailers, you sometimes have no choice and need to adapt accordingly. Experience will give you that.
3:08 I ordered this pad because I'm sick of trying to get those microfiber cutting pads to work, call it my Achilles heel but for the life of me I just can't get a proper use out of them, reg thick wool on a rotary or flex 3401 no issues with use, but this wool looks promising! Also picked up the Blue Polishing Pad cuz it's worth a try. Paired with the the Spray Polish (1st time for a spray) should be nice! If I need a heavier cut I have my ride or die Wizards Mystic Cut Compound (which you can also use with a polishing pad for a final step) and I didn't get the white finishing pad just because I have some near new condition 3M perfect-it pads which look extremely similar to yours and have jeweled amazing especially on GM Black paint lol. I'm excited to be doing the entire detail on camera (2022 Lexus RC 350 F SPORT Black) and see what your line can do!!!👍🤓💪
Yeah you can use which ever compound or polish you want with my pads. No problem. But for a great 1-step correction, the blue pad and CLEAN Spray Polish are chef's kiss! :)
The blue foam pad should do the trick. Of course, it's impossible to know until you do test spots, which polishing compound and pad is the best for your situation, but certainly the blue foam pad (1-step) and the CLEAN By Pan spray polish is usually enough to remove a ceramic coating. Some coatings might need water sanding depending on what is on your PPF though, so check with your coating installer to see what he recommends.
If you clean them after use and care for them, pads should last a long time, especially if you're not a professional detailer who uses pads on a daily basis. As long as they look intact visually, and don't look worn, they're usually still good. You'll see when they need to be replaced.
If you are referring to the blue foam polishing pad, it was a new pad that wasn't broken in, and I forgot to prep the pad in the pad washer (for the blue polishing pad) as you saw in the video. You can see it's not an issue with the microfiber pad which was prepped with the pad washer hehe. So to answer your question, no it's not an issue. This is a no dusting polish (or as little dusting as possible depending on your conditions and how you prep pads). You can see the polish in action in other content creator videos and they had zero issues with dusting: th-cam.com/video/cy387sZa2lM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=kHhRzzlwjFqoZcNh&t=317 th-cam.com/video/qe04nVoBLHE/w-d-xo.htmlsi=cN1wwbNDuA7HYD9D&t=1228 th-cam.com/video/GAHUNCHnF1g/w-d-xo.htmlsi=cz92_DHTbaZCTE-M&t=1034 th-cam.com/video/EB1K7m-PqEY/w-d-xo.htmlsi=0OEei_VYMvDhTIHw&t=240
It's never as simple as recommending just one product and just one pad, as it depends on the level of paint correction needed and also which ceramic coating you have. But in most cases, the blue foam polishing pad and the spray polish is all you need most of the time, assuming your paint doesn't have crazy deep swirls and scratches. If it does, I would go with the wool cutting pad first, and then the blue foam polishing pad.
Hey pan. Quick question. Is there a much diffrance in your wool pad or the rupes wool? Just curious I can get them locally but anyway I will still order all 3 of them to try out. So far chemicals are 10/10
I can't speak about other brands' pads. Other than they aren't made by the same manufacturer. Key Features: - Powerful Cutting Performance: Short pile wool delivers fast, aggressive cutting for deep defects, swirls, and oxidation. - Cooler Running: Wool dissipates heat better than microfiber, keeping the surface cooler during heavy correction work. - Durable Construction: Heat and chemical-resistant adhesive and premium nylon hook-and-loop backing ensure long-lasting performance. -Universal Compatibility: Designed for use with all types of polishers, including dual action, rotary, and forced rotation machines. - Balanced & Lightweight: Specially engineered for optimal balance and ease of use, minimizing operator fatigue. - Made in the USA: Crafted with precision and quality you can trust. - We recommend using speeds 3 or 4 on your polisher with this pad. Adjust speed as needed to achieve your desired results.
Hey Pan! How do these differ from DIY pads? I used theirs with your polish recently. Plan to do another one of my cars in the spring. Is it worth getting new pads, or just used the DIY pads that I recently purchased?
Hi Bryan! I can't talk about other brands' pads or products really, but all the info about my pads is well written on the website. I highly encourage that you go check that out. My pads, paired with the CLEAN By Pan Spray Polish are an absolute joy to work with. ;) That being said, there's absolutely nothing wrong with the DIY Detail pads. They are very good pads!
@@PanTheOrganizer c'est ce que je voulais également faire, te souhaiter de joyeuses fêtes de fin d'année à toi et ta famille et un succès encore plus grand pour ta chaîne youtube et ta marque 👍.
Hi Alan! You can actually see my CLEAN By Pan Spray Polish and CLEAN By Pan polishing pads used on black GMC paint in my video here: th-cam.com/video/TG0FpjpCLwE/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Wn2cuYMa5K-L5Ayb The system works great. :)
@PanTheOrganizer I saw that video. It's on the hood and the camera angles are poor. I'm looking for an example of a drivers side door and passenger door with straight on camera angles with appropriate lighting. I've been a fan of yours for a long time but I need to be convinced your polish as a one step on a vehicle I described can rise to the occasion. TY.
It's always easier to comment as a viewer wanting so much things from a video, compared to actually producing videos. I'm sure you understand that. So I get your point, and I will have many more videos in the future, but I can't control which cars come in, so GMC black paint is rare that my customers have that, as I mainly work on higher end luxury cars (Porsche, BMW, Audi, Mercedes). Also, there are no miracle solutions for 1 steps to get 100% correction. First, you wouldn't aim for 100% correction on a daily driver. And then, different paints require different polish and pad combos depending on your level of desired correction, level of defects in your paint. Sometimes the same car manufacturer can also change paint suppliers within the same model and production years, hence why we always do test spots to determine what is the best combo for that specific paint. Eddie from EC Details has a lot of experience using my spray polish and pads on GMC black paint, so you can feel free to ask him if you need more input. But as far as advances in polish technologies, I am confident my spray polish demonstrates how good it is. You can see it in action as a one-step on black paint in this video from another content creator: th-cam.com/video/Eo376329UPY/w-d-xo.htmlsi=r4nbPeadizx7Z76X
Your site didn't have the 3-in. I've been using the 3 inch 3M finesse pads for headlights and I breeze through 1500 grit scratches. But $13 is too much for a 3-in pad.
This isn't a water sanding tutorial, and as this is an actual daily driven vehicle, why sand paint that doesn't need to be sanded? Would you do that to your own car Omar? Maybe one day I'll have a test panel painted for those kinds of videos, or wait to have a vehicle that actually needs sanding.
Hi Pan. Yet ANOTHER cool video from you!! Thanks for posting!! The guys from The Rag Company have posted videos where after polishing with Uno Protect from Rupes (which has sealant properties), they wipe off the polish with Beadmaker. The gloss output was phenomenal 😎☀😎!! Question: Would that same technique work with your polish or the Precision Platelet 1-And-Done from TW?!? My car/daily driver isn't coated and could use some light correction. Plus, I am on a quest for INSANE gloss!!! Please advise.
Yeah that's usually my observation too. Free spinning DA and rotary can get the pads much dryer. You can use a microfiber towel and spin the pad a bit on that too after using the pad washer, which helps to wick the remaining moisture a bit.
Good morning Pan! Another great video. I do have questions and I know you will say try your pads. 😊 How do these pads differ from say the Rupes system or the DIY pad system. Not saying I’m not going to try them but I want to know how they all compare to each other and how your pad system may work within those other eco systems. Are they all closely similar or am I going to get different results using the pads with different systems. BTW, I do have your polish and I do love it. It will be nice to see how everything pairs up once I get to use the pads.
Hi Karl! I can't speak about other brands' pads. Other than they aren't made by the same manufacturer. For sure if you already have the CLEAN By Pan Spray Polish, you will absolutely love how these pads pair up with it. What I can tell you about my wool pad is this: CLEAN By Pan The Organizer Wool Cutting Pad Achieve the ultimate in cutting performance with the CLEAN Wool Cutting Pad, designed for professionals and enthusiasts who demand the best. Engineered with a unique blend of blue and white wool fibers, this pad delivers exceptional cutting power while running cooler than microfiber alternatives. I don’t care what anyone says but Pan is copying DIY’s marketing plan. His products may have a slightly different chemical makeup but this is too similar.
These aren't rebranded. If I look at the foam pads specifically, these are custom foams just for the CLEAN By Pan lineup. They don't even have those foams in their own lineup. And I'm actually proud to say that my pads are made by Buff And Shine as I believe they are one of the best pad makers on the market (with Lake Country, Zvizzer, Rupes, etc). Not many brands make their own pads.
I don't think the bags matter, as you throw them away hehe. What matters is the quality of the pads. But this was just for the first batch, to get the pads out on the market. We will be working on cooler graphic design packaging for future production runs. I didn't want to delay the pad launch just for bags, as those take time to get right.
Oh they'll have no issues going through Montreal winters hehe. The technology behind my coatings has been proven in weather much worse than mine (extreme heat, and extreme winters), and so far, even the 3-year on my girlfriend's car is performing like day one, not even a little sweat from the road salts haha. I will continue to bring updates, so stay tuned for those. ;)
Pan is a shill. Pan is a sellout. Pan is a hack. Pan is a clone. lol … these guys. Pan, congratulations on the launch. Negative press is still press, haha. 😊😊😊
Hahaha you got that right Jim! Social media has become so toxic. Trolls can't stand to see hard working people becoming successful it seems. Their lives are so miserable that they feel the need to bring others down with them. But that's not working with my awesome community of viewers. Here we all share a common passion for detailing and have fun doing it. There is no place for negative minded, toxic individuals here. And we stand up to cyber bullying.

The only downside to the forced rotation machine is that it doesn’t free spin.
To me it doesn’t work well with the pad washer.
Otherwise, I really enjoyed!

You will see a few special things that were done to Andy's car after this video, in the coming weeks. I can't saw more. ;)
But when spring time comes, we will do a full decon, machine polishing, and applying the CLEAN By Pan 8-year coating most likely. :)
Awesome! Finally a system I can use! Thanks Pan!!!
Thanks Jim! It was important for me to keep things simple and easy. I am not a fan of systems that confuse you with needing 10 compounds, 6 polishes, 12 pads, etc lol.
Can you use the cutting pad by itself? or does it need to be finished with the jewling pad?

@@PanTheOrganizer That’s a great tip! Thanks soooo much. 💜
My pleasure Adam!
Great job, Pan. You have refined your products to the essentials. 👍👍👍
@ Yes you have! 👍
Great Video Pan!!!
Thanks Shawn! I appreciate it!
They look like some solid options. I have some of your soap on the way. Not that I need any, but I picked some up to try
You are gonna be so happy you did! 👍🏻
@ it’s going up against Reset, Apex 3.0 and pure wash so we shall see. I think they all will work well
Love Andy!!!
Such a great brother!
Great video thanks for sharing 😊
Glad you liked it! 👍
Great video Pan!! Can’t wait to get my hands on these new innovative products! I know you worked really hard on this line and you deserve the highest applause!👏🏽 congrats and the best of luck🔥💯❤️
Thanks! I appreciate the support. 🙏🏻
There'll be a a huge lineup if you ever have a garage sale!
Hehe for sure!! Can you imagine?? :)
I'll make the drive to MTL for sure
Looking forward to trying the pads out.
You'll be happy you did! What are you current go-to pads?
I am using the DIY Detail pads
Hahaha i just took a screenshot of your products and pads and showed them to my gf.. She said, "Oh my god, there's two of u. 😂😂👍🏻🇨🇦
😂😂😂👍🏻
Hello Pan, this is Dr. Leon from Las Vegas . I love your products
Hi Dr Leon!! I appreciate the kind words, thank you! Merry Christmas to you and your family!
Here are my thoughts on your questions:
Well said, we think alike! ;)
Ordered my pads, just waiting on the mail now lol
Thanks for the support!
Right on pan I saw them on Thor website sold out I can wait snowing in Saskatchewan lol. Thanks
Hey Corey! The pads were ordered for the Canadian warehouse and should arrive in the next week or two if all goes as planned. :)
Merry Christmas!
@ yes you as well have a wonderful merry Christmas and new year
3:08 I ordered this pad because I'm sick of trying to get those microfiber cutting pads to work, call it my Achilles heel but for the life of me I just can't get a proper use out of them, reg thick wool on a rotary or flex 3401 no issues with use, but this wool looks promising! I'm excited to be doing the entire detail on camera (2022 Lexus RC 350 F SPORT Black) and see what your line can do!!!👍🤓💪
Looks like you have a good battle plan in mind! They should work great. Keep me posted! :)
@PanTheOrganizer If I want to do a one step correction I get the blue pad and would I be able to use 3d one?
Yeah you can use which ever compound or polish you want with my pads. No problem.
But for a great 1-step correction, the blue pad and CLEAN Spray Polish are chef's kiss! :)
If I have a PPF in my car with some older protection on top of it which pad would I use to remove that protection before using the 8 year coating?
The blue foam pad should do the trick. Of course, it's impossible to know until you do test spots, which polishing compound and pad is the best for your situation, but certainly the blue foam pad (1-step) and the CLEAN By Pan spray polish is usually enough to remove a ceramic coating.
Some coatings might need water sanding depending on what is on your PPF though, so check with your coating installer to see what he recommends.
Great again Pan 🥳 how do we know when it's time to throw a polishing pad?
If you clean them after use and care for them, pads should last a long time, especially if you're not a professional detailer who uses pads on a daily basis. As long as they look intact visually, and don't look worn, they're usually still good. You'll see when they need to be replaced.
I see dusting from the polish which puts me off. Is dusting an issue Pan?
If you are referring to the blue foam polishing pad, it was a new pad that wasn't broken in, and I forgot to prep the pad in the pad washer (for the blue polishing pad) as you saw in the video. You can see it's not an issue with the microfiber pad which was prepped with the pad washer hehe.
So to answer your question, no it's not an issue. This is a no dusting polish (or as little dusting as possible depending on your conditions and how you prep pads).
You can see the polish in action in other content creator videos and they had zero issues with dusting:

@@PanTheOrganizer Cheers Pan, Merry Christmas!
You too!! All the best for 2025
Which pad system is best to remove two year old ceramic coating?
What I can tell you about my wool pad is this:

@ thank you will definitely try them out! :)
My pads, paired with the CLEAN By Pan Spray Polish are an absolute joy to work with. ;)
That being said, there's absolutely nothing wrong with the DIY Detail pads. They are very good pads!

Hi Loïc!
@PanTheOrganizer hey, my friend, it was really nice to see your brother Andy in a vidéo
Merry Christmas to you!
@@PanTheOrganizer c'est ce que je voulais également faire, te souhaiter de joyeuses fêtes de fin d'année à toi et ta famille et un succès encore plus grand pour ta chaîne youtube et ta marque 👍.
I would still like to see you system on the side panels of a marred black paint GMC or Chevrolet. That would be the world I live in. Thank you.
Hi Alan! You can actually see my CLEAN By Pan Spray Polish and CLEAN By Pan polishing pads used on black GMC paint in my video here: th-cam.com/video/TG0FpjpCLwE/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Wn2cuYMa5K-L5Ayb
The system works great.
As I mentioned in the video, the 3" pads aren't available yet, but coming soon hopefully.
Why didn't you sand a part of the hood? That would show how well the polish and pads work.. the panel already looked good even before polishing..
They say with forced rotations they don't spin fast enough to get the pad dry. It kinda looked like that in this video.

Hi Joseph!
great, another line of rebranded pads from Buff and Shine.
Still nothing in the UK 🇬🇧 🥲
The products are already on their way to the UK, so we're hoping the UK website to launch soon. I'll keep you guys updated when I have specific dates.
We need this Shit in Germany, god damned 😳😂
The CLEAN By Pan products are coming to Europe in the next month or two if all goes as planned. Stay tuned for updates when I get specific dates.
Surely their not the finally retail packaging thoses bags look really cheap
I don't think the bags matter, as you throw them away hehe. What matters is the quality of the pads. But this was just for the first batch, to get the pads out on the market. We will be working on cooler graphic design packaging for future production runs. I didn't want to delay the pad launch just for bags, as those take time to get right.
I hope pan's going to release a microfiber pad as a Vegan i can't and won't be using the wool pad
