    I have 3 Tisas 1911's, 2 in 45 ACP, & 1 in 9mm. All 3 are awesome firearms. Will spit out anything u put in them. Great 1911's for the price point. If you've ever wanted a 1911, Tisas is a great place to start. U won't be disappointed.

      Im on my 2nd Tisas. First was a B45R Carry and last weekend i picked up a Stingray Carry also in 45acp. I cant get over how good the quality is and how sharp it looks. Would i have liked to have some texture/checkering on the grip? Sure, but thats asking a lot of a 1911 at that price range. Next on my list is without a doubt the Raider in 45 and then the Yukon carry which will be the first 10mm ive ever owned, or shot.

    I am a 73 year old retired US ARMY NCO. I have been in love with 1911 since I was 8 years old. I own 4 polymer framed defensive pistols, one 40S&W and three 9mm's. I also own seventeen 1911s in 22LR, 22TCM, 380ACP, 38 SUPER, 9MM and 45ACP. I guess you could call me a 1911 fanboy. My latest 1911 addition is a 9mm Tisas Stingray. It won't be my last Tisas. I have 1911s from Colt, Springfield Armory, Llama, Taurus, Rock Island and now Tisas. I can safely say my Tisas is the equal of any 1911 in my collection. I can't afford a Les Baer or Wilson Combat, but I have had occasion to handle examples from both builders and I think that while the Tisas does not quite come up to their level, the average shooter will be completely satisfied with a Tisas and save $2-3000 at the same time. Dan Wesson look out Tisas is close on your heels.

    After decades of carrying striker fire sidearms on & off duty, retirement meant I could finally carry anything I wanted & it was a pleasure to get reacquainted with the 1911 platform in the form of a Tisas 1911A-1 in 9mm....it feels like shooting a .22, after the usual break-in period of 300 or so rounds it was 100% reliable, & even with the tiny G.I. sights it was easy to keep nice tight groups...
    My latest Tisas is a PX-9 & I'm very pleased with it so far.
    Tisas makes great guns at a great price ...👍👍

    I bought a Tisas 1911 45 BR Duty 8+1 at Carter's Country in Bunker Hill. It truly is one of the best modern combat 45 auto handguns I have. I highly recommend it. The 2011 model in 9 mm appears to be as great as the 1911. Good, fair review 👏🏼

    I love the 1911 simply because it is such an easy gun to shooting so many ways. The 1st 9mm commander I added to my collect about 24 years ago and has always been one of my favs to shoot. Unfortunately I have switched over to MRD 2011s as my carry guns so I seldom take my 1911s out to the range any more. But the 9mm commander is a great combo.

    Here's another one for you. I saw an video on TH-cam where Massad Ayoob was interviewing Bill Wilson and Bill stated he carried CCW a 9mm 1911 himself. I have many 1911's and I do CCW a 5" Govt. Model Super38. I had heard a lot about the Tisas pistols so I picked up a Tank Commander 9. You never mentioned the extended beavertail on the Carry model OR the fact that the 9mm models come with a hammer forged ramped barrel. That 9mm Commander shoots as nice as my custom IPSC Stock Class 45 and hasn't missed a beat over the last 800 rounds of any and all ammo fed it including my handloads. For a street price of $400 it has to be the best bang for the buck out there.

    I have both a Tisas 1911 A1 Army & a 1911 A1 service in .45 ACP. They both perform very well.
    I bought a Carry B9 because I wanted a 9mm 1911. It will not feed 147gr flat nose at all. Especially if the magazine is fully loaded but even reducing the round count doesn’t help. I still get FTF. It will run 115gr round nose. I’m disappointed in the 147 performance. So far I have not tried in JHP but unless it feeds better than the 147 I may be looking for a different 1911 9mm.

      I heard that and immediately discounted everything after that. FUDD talk does nothing for the community.
      Tisas uses Para ramping so there's not really a cheap option out there. Clark makes a good semi drop in but it basically costs half of what the original purchase was.

    I have the 45 acp version of this model with a rail and like it very much. However, the case that came with it was broken when it arrived and Tisas will not replace the case even though it was brand new. So much for their total quality guarantee.

    Can you guys give me your opinion.? I just purchased the standard 1911A1 Army 9mm. Before I shoot it I disassemble and give it a once over. Two of the grip screws were so tight they stripped the bushings taking them out. Then, I found the Mag Springs were so tight/hard I could not get past 5 rnds and my fingers were broke. I did reach out to SKS and they sent me bushings and screws. then, I had to send back both Mags which they replaced. The two new mags were fine. Got real tight on rnd number 8 & 9 but much better. Any comments from you guys are welcomed. thank you Other than that the pistol is awesome.

    I recently picked up one of the Turkish 9mm Commanders just to see if I would like it. A full size .45 Les Baer TRS has been my EDCf or years.
    I'm getting a little older now and as Mr. Wilson an Mr. Hackathorn said, you appreciate the milder recoil after a long day at the range. I have bad Arthur in my hands and after a few hundred rounds of .45 they really bother me the next day. With the 9mm, no such issues at all.
    The Turkish offering did it's job and now I think I'll look into a Wilson or another Baer. Of course then there is Night Hawk LOL! Decisions Decisions. ;

    I can't get a straight answer from Tisas to a question regarding their D10 1911. Perhaps posting here will help. Before I state the issue I found l want to address a customer service person at Tisas who calls himself Jimmy. He is arrogant, indifferent, and zero help showing zero interest in helping.
    Now the issue and question. I visited four gun stores and checked four different D10 ten millimeter Tisas 1911s. When cocking the hammer and compressing the grip safety, pulling the trigger results in the grip safety bumping back subtlety into your grip hand. No other 1911 does this only the D10. I really want to buy one but I'll be damned, I'm not buying it to send it in for warranty repairs. Why does this gun cause the grip safety bump back when the trigger is pulled? I try contacting Tisas twice regarding this. One rep says try a different D10, then also Jimmy who just didnt give a crap

    • @CraigSummers
      @CraigSummers ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Joe, that is the hammer strut you are feeling. It does NOT affect function at all. 2023 production models have addressed this issue. This is a simple $9 part that can be swapped out if you wish.

    I have NO IDEA why ANYONE would buy a 9mm 1911! 1911's were originally known to be.45 caliber, and famous for that reason. I own three 9mm pistols, two .45 1911's, one 38 revolver, and an AR-15. I wouldn't waste my time and money on a 9mm 1911.

      Haha, I don't think the 1911 is famous because it's a 45.. Everything can be improved. 1911's are extremely easy to shoot low recoil guns, make it 9mm, and it's a total breeze with extra capacity than the 45. It's a very, very fun target pistol (also very affordable, the gun and the 9mm ammo). Everyone has different wants and needs, we definitely sell a TON of them to people who love them. ❤️ (Also, we don't recommend telling people how many or what guns you own 😬)

    Why would you want a 1911 in 9mm???

      most fun you can have while shooting a handgun is a 5 inch 1911 in 9mm. Barely any recoil with great trigger. Go to the range and rent one and find out.

      more capacity, equal stopping power, widely available ammo, cheaper to operate and train with. Likely more compatible ammo wise with other weapons most people own.

      I carry a .45, a Colt WWI remake in Carbonia Blue, so there is no doubt that I love the .45, but I got the Tisas 9mm 1911a1 for backup M3 shoulder holster, and the decision was completely dependent on what ammo is going to be more readily laying around in places and on persons if something ever hits the fan. Plus, it reminds me of the Starr 9mm Largo I once carried in the same way. Both sweet shooters.

    So you want the pistol to be black, no frills, look like something you wear to work everyday, and eat ammo…I believe you’re searching for a Glock, sir. 😊

    It’s true the 9mm is more popular than the 45 nowadays. It’s because the men in this country are weaker than ever!!
