I throughly enjoyed this video. I have a friend who has a Tisas 1911 and he says this is one of his favorite pistols. He is a retired Navy Seal with multiple deployments to overseas hot stops and he would not carry this firearm as his EDC pistol if this pistol was not highly reliable as well as dependable. I have owned several 1911 pistols that cost far in excess of $1,300.00. However, I shoot a used Ruger SR 1911 (9mm Commander size 1911 with aluminum frame) costing $570.00 with 3 dot white sights as good as any of my other 1911 pistols. Regardless of the cost of a firearm, one can only shoot it so good. I am over 70 years of age and I have been shooting since I was around 11 years old. I suggest that you spend your extra money on training and ammo, not on very expensive pistols which you will most likely not shoot any better than a lower priced firearm which you routinely train and shoot. (U.S. Army Retired)
The Tisas 1911 platform is outstanding. I have 2 in 45 ACP, and 1 in 9mm ( all full size) and I'll tell you what, they spit out anything I feed them. No matter what flavor ammo, from PDA, reloads, steel case, never a hiccup. I would not expect anything less from the Tisas Stingray. For the price point you will not be wasting your money for this 1911 platform....HAPPY SHOOTONG EVERYONE. May God Bless your day..
Not only underrated, these Tisas guns are going to be going up in price new or used as time goes by and the guys find out just how good they are, every report on them has been top-shelf, has made a name for itself overall. The quality is there, this is what matters.
Totally agree, I have a nightstalker single stack in 9mm,a nightstalker double stack (I didn't know they made a ds until after I bought the single) and a stingray 45,love them all.
They're reliable, and they're tight. I work in a sporting goods store, and my Tisas "service 1911" after 3000 rounds is just as tight if not more so than a *brand new" Kimber Custom 2. As I've said on one of your previous vids, they are damn good guns. Very underrated.
Hello all, I purchased one of these and had it in my safe for a couple of months. I am on a security team and we had to recertify for the security team. I did field strip and oil the pistol, however, never shot it. I wanted to see if I could recertify with a pistol I have never shot. I loaded several magazines and went to work. I began head shots at five and seven yards. As I worked my way back, and I knew the pistol was shooting well, I continued through the recertification back to 15 yards. I qualified with a 98 with a pistol I never shot before. Today...this pistol is my EDC! The slide is smooth as silk and shoots as good or better than pistol 2-3 times the cost. Love this pistol! I have the pistol in 9mm but want the sister pistol in 45 cal. You will not be disappointed.
Very nice video, I had a tisas 1911 5 inch and ended up selling it for my springfield garrison. But always wanted a 1911 4.25 9m in this size... I might just get this, and loved the ending, glad to meet another brother in christ. May God continue to bless you.
Thanks for the video! I have that same pistol (almost) in 45acp. The actual model number on mine is B45B. Mine has a 4.25" barrel and has slide serrations on the muzzle end as well as the rear. It is my 4th Tisas. I bought this one with the larger sights for my old eyes. I have found the Tisas pistols to be nicely finished and tight as a tick. Best economical good pistols out there IMHO.
This is the best video I've seen on this specific firearm. Very well done! Bless you buddy, and AMEN to your message! I'm buying myself one of these soon and it will be my first 1911 pistol. I was "raised" on DA/SA but I love the way the 1911s look. Thank you kind sir!
What a Blessing, to see a man stand up and tell people about Jesus and how to be saved... Only through the shed Blood of our Lord Jesus.... (Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV)... ...Oh What A Wonderful Day it will Be, Jesus is Coming Again... God Bless You, Sir...
I may have to start looking for one, looks good for sure, and being reliable is key. Thanks for the financial sacrifice to verify it’s reliability with self-defense ammo.
Amen Brother. Great message at the end. You got a suscriber just on that part, but the gun review was good too. I just bought one of these Stingray's myself. I've only had it to the range once, for 100 rounds of Blazer Brass, and another 20 or so defensive ammo, and it worked like a charmp. Shoot, even I, a self-confessed lousy shot was able to make one big hole in the target, right where I was aiming. The only "modification" is a drop of orange nail polish on the front sight.
I've got one on order, like the idea of a 9mm was trained with a.45 in1967and always had 1911s old enough to appreciate the softer shooting 9mm and this looks like a great choice, thanks 👍 for the heads up review.
Just found your channel. Subbed and clicked the little bell. I've wanted a 1911 since I started shooting a few years back. I really like the Stingray. Found a website with a couple in stock, but it will be at least two more months before I'll have the $$ saved up. They'll probably be gone by then. I wish more sellers would have Lay-A-Way like Tombstone Tactical does, but they don't have the Stingray. I may have to settle for another Tisas. RockOn.StayFree.
Enjoyed the video. That inspired me to get the Stingray and glad I did. These pistols are a great price and reliable as the expensive counter parts. Thanks for the video!
Even if the gun is cheap to buy it isn't cheap to feed, lol. Thanks for doing these tests, the first Tisas have escaped my notice but more and more videos are showing them to run fine. Bless you for being up front about Jesus too, no believer should be quiet when asked. Thanks.
I have several steel frame 9mm, 1911s. A Star BM, a Llama Commander sized 9mm and a 45, a RIA WIDEBODY 22 TCM/9mm convertible and a RIA 38 Super that I discovered will work with the 9mm barrel and spring from the 22TCM/9mm convertible. But all of these are either full size 5" guns or steel framed guns or both. After watching several videos on Commander sized Tisas 1911s including two of yours and Grahm Bates videos on the Tisas Bantm, I decided to pull the trigger ordered a Tisas Stingray from Classic Firearms. I decidedthat the additionalfeatureson the prettier Bantam weren'tworth the extraalmost $500. I like the steel frame Commander Sized guns I have including a Colt in 45 they are all neat guns, but I think the aluminum and bobbed frame of the Tisas will make for a better EDC companion and as far as magazines go Classic said it came with one 9 and one 10 rd magazine. Itdid in fact come with two 10s and i have 2 Wilson Combat 10 rdrs. Thank you for your interesting and informative videos.
I hope the tisas 9mm carry one that I am ordering soon work just as good as your stingray runs. It seems to be a good 1911 pistol. I love me a good 1911
I have the Tisas Carry and Duty in 9mm. Been flawless so far. Over 700 rds thru each so far. I got them after I ran over 1000 rds through my Tisas Carry and Duty 45's proved to be reliable and accurate for me. I love my Tisas 1911's. The 9mm versions are so smooth. The Tisas pistol’s seem to be great guns. I just bought a Tisas 1911 d10 10m/m but I have seen a few bad reviews about it. I will have a video up with it tomorrow hopefully.
Nice pistol....mine had a 3# trigger right out of the box, shot all kinds of different rounds through it and have had zero malfunctions, I've mixed up the rounds and the mags....flawless, spot on accuracy also
Good deal man I think I'll be ordering one this evening I shot Kimber ultra carry 2 but I had to clean up and polish all molded seam's on the action to get my Kimber to run because I had alot of fail to feed. After all the work I did she ran like a top. So I'm getting a cheaper gun, tisas stingray this one doesn't seem to fail.
Nice looking pistol. For me, ammo testing from a bad to see what is most accurate comes first. Once determined, its gonna take me a minimum 2-300 rounds of 100% reliability shooting before I'd consider for EDC/HD. 80 rounds isn't enough to break a sweat over. ymmv
I'm not sure how you got your factory mags to function. Mine wouldn't feed the first two rounds from each magazine. Since I bought some reliable mags, it has been totally reliable for 700 rounds.
Brother thank you for the video I really enjoyed it damn good little pistol. I love the 1911 platform now that is a 9 mm I'm even more in love with it.

I have two DWs and a Tisas on the way. The DWs use tool steel machines small parts, the Tisas uses MIM. Big difference, but that doesn’t mean they don’t both have their place.
machined
That’s true the 2 Tisas 1911 I own in my opinion are great shooters with no failures so far.
This video literally cost about $150 to make. Ammo is expensive
That’s true.
I have a tisas 1911. when I cock with thumb, the cock gets stuck in the beaver tail.
Bought one yesterday based on your review. Could do without the Jesus nonsense though.
I don’t believe you will be disappointed friend.the gospel isn’t nonsense though friend it’s the only way to eternal life. I’ll be praying that you can come to that knowledge my friend.thanks for your comment.
@@2Afreedomrange What do Jesus, god, Santa Claus, the Tooth Fairy and the Easter Bunny have in common?
What I do know is that JESUS died for you because he loved you that much and shed his blood so you can have forgiveness of your sins and on 3 day he rose up from the grave.but I do understand I’ve been where you are at my friend.
@@2Afreedomrange Yeah, and Santa Claus climbed down my chimney and left presents under a tree after checking his “list”. C’mon man…
Ok friend.
I think you are shooting my next carry
In my opinion I don’t believe you will be disappointed.
How can’t you not get on target if two feet away from the target move at 25 yards
lol it was actually like 10yards.and if you have to use it for self defense GOD forbid more than 7yards they wouldn’t consider that self defense in most cases.but I do appreciate your comment friend.
