You know, looking at the costume Liberace's in, and given the way he talked and acted, I have to wonder exactly how he managed to win that libel suit against that tabloid accusing of him being gay.
@@SuperWolsey What are you on about? She said she bound herself and used something that ate the fat away as well as corsets. Not sure what they can learn other than Victorian corsetry ha.
Do we know who stole her memorabilia from her family yet? I know there is supposed to be a book, The Vampira Diaries coming out... but it was promised in print in fall 2019 with a gofundme raising almost $21,000..then a release in early 2021..seems like the project is having trouble. Is there any more reliable information on any of these topics? I'd like to buy Vampira merch ethically for once..meaning, in the name of (in)human decency, her FAMILY should profit. 🦇
Yes, the family knows who it was. NONE of the "official" Vampira merch on the market benefits the family. Not only is that Vampira Diaries book way overpriced at $90, but none of the content therein even belongs to those involved (all of the material inside was stolen from Maila and later sold to the author). If you want to support the family and learn about who Maila really was, pick up Sandra Niemi's new book "Glamour Ghoul". As far as I know, that's the only ethical Vampira item on the market right now.
Charles Addams' cartoon family featuring Morticia appeared in The New Yorker in 1938. Maila Nurmi's Vampira character, inspired by Morticia, appeared on KABC-TV in 1954. Cassandra Peterson's Elvira character appeared in 1981 on KHJ-TV- after they hired her over Lola Falana to revive the Vampira character, Nurmi quit the project and unsuccessfully filed a lawsuit against Peterson.
Hell yeah ,even liberace went straight for vampira.
her figure was amazing
in the sense that she still had functioning organs.
Vampira was a beautiful lady, amazing figure! Love her style and dress ❤️
WOW...I never thought I'd get to see this
Well, she knew he would never try anything with her...
pure entertainment for us old geezers.
Total camp..love it!
The guy with the violin is Liberace's brother, George.
"I wish my brother George was here!"
Damn! Which one looks more creepy? That's a tough one.

In his head he's saying, Ew this girl is touching me
Great couple !
that woman was so hot...the first person that introduced horror as sexy and lovely into the television scene...ah...^^
I love this! why no sound?
Probably cuz its old? I notice dat there are some old videoz out there with nu soundz
Vampira had the thinnest waist I have ever seen.
No surgery necessary. Today's chicks obsessed with a thin waist could learn something from Vampira
@@SuperWolsey What are you on about? She said she bound herself and used something that ate the fat away as well as corsets. Not sure what they can learn other than Victorian corsetry ha.
Liberace was able to resist the femme fatale's charms only because of his orientation. Lucky for him.
that violin player looks like chef boyardee!!
That's Liberace's brother, George.
Iconic
The lack of sound makes the piano sequence even creepier
Now I know where Elton John got his flare for crazy costumes.

To bad about the lack of sound.........that Gal's middle scares the shit outta me!!!
Why no sound
Very strange, yet oddly interesting...
so kool😈
That's a clue right there!
WOMAN LUV HIM
But most of the woman that loved him are dead
or older than dirt...
there's no sound
U can tell he is grossed out next to a girl...lol...n nobody knew...
patti fernandez Shit everyone knew who you kidding
Hmm.... I can't figure out which would be funnier; if the jester costume was Vampira's idea, or Liberace's. *lol*
This is pretty creepy looking actually.
@theboombody that doesn't make any sense considering Morticia was created before Maila came up with Vampira.
You know, maybe Elvira did rip Vampira off.
@Dukky From the Addam's family? No way. If anything, Morticia ripped off Vampira, and Elvira ripped off Morticia.

I am honestly hoping that was a sarcastic comment.
She could have converted him.
@theboombody
Duh!
that's weird folks !
or king vitamin
@theboombody I see more Moticia Adams myself...
Liberace looks a little like Donald Trump.
@theboombody if this is true, then Vampira is a Moriticia rip off. ;)
Austin Powers
Liberace wasn't gay? OOOOOOOOOOOk!
HAHA,indeed! I´m a excellent co-(C)-ksucker.And you? tell me, WHO...ARE...U?
