20:13 That Tower Records building ('8801 Sunset Blvd.'!) was notable for its YELLOW paintwork, at one time. And that statue of Rocky and Bullwinkle wasn't originally on that site--it has been moved, presumably to preserve it, as it used to stand in front of the Jay Ward production offices, where my father used to work (he was a writer on that show).

ps: That 'coffee shop restaurant sure looks like a 1950s/'60s time capsule to me! Possibly a DuPars? The neon-esque signage is a give-away...

I would seriously consider traveling to California just to visit Hollywood Forever cemetery.
I had a really crappy day yesterday and this video is just what I needed. What a fun adventure, really enjoyed the side quests for the art and historical markers. The Ramones Ducks made me honestly smile for the first time in 24 hours. Thanks guys!

This was so cool! I love seeing 1950’s L.A.! My mom, who is the least California person you’ll ever meet, was born and raised in L.A. She was born in 1946 and moved away in 1970. My dad is from Wisconsin, so they ended up moving there when she got pregnant with my older sister. They hadn’t planned on moving to Wisco, but my grandma saw a house she thought they might like and the rest -as they say - is history. I always wondered when I’d be like if I had been raised there. I’ve always felt at home there. 🎃🖤
Thanks for taking us on this tour. The Vampira video footage does show how the character was inspiration for Morticia Addams. Yavone D'Carlo obviously drawn influence from Vampira for Morticia.

Thanks for that! The one time I went to Hollywood Forever it was closing soon and so I had to dash around and photograph whatever graves I could get to, and I didn’t find Maila Nurmi’s. I only had about a week in LA.

In Canada we have weed stores everywhere just like Space Booth. One just opened up across the street called Delta 9, the walls are white, they need to paint some trippy murals. The building used to be a bank, the vault is still in it and they keep the weed in there. It doesn't lock though, it's been disabled so nobody can get locked inside.

I was at Hollywood Forever yesterday and saw Vampira's grave. We saw many other notable graves too. My sister and I paid our respects to anyone we stopped to see.

I don't do most of these either. I do pay attention to dye lots for a solid color but not so much for a variegated or striping yarn. I can read a pattern but I prefer to watch a tutorial. When it comes to crochet and other crafts I'm more of a visual learner. I also like to experiment and design pieces. I can write a simple pattern but a lot of the time I make it up as I go. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't 😊
