Both bands first 4 albums were there best all released from 1983-1988, both of them on a bill together would’ve been one of the best shows I ever would see, I love both Dokken and Metallica
For those who say Dokken are not Metal, this list of songs are songs from the albums that are traditional metal or heavy metal songs Metal Songs ==Breaking the chains== Breaking the chains Live to rock (rock to live) Nightrider Stick to your guns Paris is burning ==Tooth and nail== Without warning Tooth and nail Don’t close your eyes When heaven comes down Into the Fire Turn on the action ==Under lock and key== Unchain the night The hunter Lightning strikes again Till the livin end ==Back for the attack== Kiss of death Night by night Standing in the shadows Heaven sent Mr Scary Lost behind the wall Sleepness night
What Motley Crue opened snd toured with all the heavy bands opened up for Ozzy, Iron Maiden toured with AC/DC and Metallica at Donnigton. The problem was Motley wasn't an opening act for long unlike Dokken who never became a legit closer.
Yea Motley Crüe we’re a heavy band on there first 2 albums, and they had there infamous tour with ozzy in 1984 and they played monsters of rock in 1984 with accept, Van halen and a few other bands, at first they played with heavy bands like those as well. Dons right about Poison though
Thrash Bands at that time were surpassing all glam bands of all kinds. Dokken was awesome but Metallica’s mindset was to destroy ever band that was popular. They didn’t have to kick anyone’s ass to do it, they literally kicked ass with their music and energy.
Well, no, Don... no one ever mistook Dokken for "the Monkeys." But the emphasis was clever, though. Real shame about this discord of Dokken. Such a talented outfit plagued by drugs, timing, incompatibility and more.
@@canyonproductions7683 none of those bands look like poison who were a definitive glam metal band, scorpions are a hard rock band, I don’t recall them wearing makeup, and glammy outfits, Van halen too both in the David Lee Roth era and Sammy Hagar Van halen are hard rock and turned a commercial in the Sammy era, Dokken as we know did look glammy on the under lock and key album cover, musically Dokken sound nothing like poison or Bon Jovi or warrant. And neither do Scorpions and Van halen, Dokken are melodic metal and traditional metal imo

Metallica destroy there 2nd bass player Jason Newsted. Dokken a GREAT BAND!!!!! Luv there music!!!!!! Still love The Rolling Stones!!!!! & Every band!!!!! And don't forget The Late Jimi Hendrix!!!!!!!
Again..Don fails to mention his drug use during that time! Everyone elses but not his! During this interview.. you can see him dabbing his finger into something & putting it into his mouth! Let me guess.. that is a candy bar? Lol. What a sad dark person he turned out to be!

Dokken was the best
Newsflash: rocknroll has ran on Peruvian marching powder since its inception.
