I 100% agree. Perhaps they will bring out a modernized version in the future. I suppose too many folks weren't as savvy in the home gonsmiff installation process and enough people made complaints.
Going back and watching your vids because I want more content lol but for real just wanted to say I love Centurion, they're local to me and I love seeing them get the love they deserve. Everything I build gets a Centurion barrel if possible! Hope all is well with you man
They are really good people. I've known them for a good number of years now. Frankly, I'm surprised how "small" they still are compared to the other brands out there. I'm good, brother. Long format content is slow to come out but I'm still collecting data to update existing videos and new setups that haven't been shown yet. My IG or FB usually shows the day-to-day updates.
I have a specific video on this and their other CMR cutout variants. A little more involved in install but worth it I think. They're out of extended for sure but should still have the non-extended versions available if you email Centurion.
Great stuff but I find it interesting that you can't justify the use of a warcomp to mitigate recoil because the AR in 556 doesn't have that much recoil but find the A5 buffer system "softens" recoil.
This was an earlier video so my explanation may not have been as refined. The warcomp overdrives the muzzle end and provides too much concussion than necessary for a platform that is already minimal in impulse. It is also not the ideal suppressor host compared to other SF devices due to the excess gas and noise that escapes from the lack of labyrinth seals. The A5 "smooths" the recoil impulse by allowing the energy to disburse via the longer travel time in addition to the alteration of timing. It doesn't "soften" it like you're alluding. Regardless, depending on your configuration it aids in less overall movement during cycling.
Much appreciated. I could use the assistance. IDK what's in those bins. 😅 As for the magnifiers, my preference is the 3X for the wider FOV but the 5X is solid if you want/need the additional mag despite the tighter FOV and eyebox. It does have a little better eye relief as well. Both are good and it's your call. I'd probably go with whichever is on sale or at the better price when you're looking. I definitely wouldn't pay full price for either.
Yo bunny great looking rifle. I was wondering if you were knowledgeable on what type of front sight base I should get for a 11.5 carbine length gas system with an A1 carry handle upper? I’m seeing a lot of mixed replies on the Internet about f Mark vs non f marked I was wondering if you knew?
Fixed carry handles should be paired with non-F marked FSBs. The F marked ones sit a little taller to accommodate the flat top upper receivers. Bear in mind that these were originally intended for 20" rifle variants, and the shorter configs had their own front sight blades to accommodate along with rear aperture depending on specific config. You CAN, however, use both FSBs and alter or swap the front sight blade to get the precise zero you want otherwise they get close enough to where it doesn't really matter. On an A2 you also have elevation adjustment in the rear sight to assist. Basically, it doesn't really matter and there are ways around it. LOL
Not personally but I can see how any extended levers can experience similar situations. If you don't necessarily need the extended lever, say you're a lefty, then the Norgon style ambi release is my next choice.
@@bunnyoperator yea it’s not a must have. But does make it nicer when working on non dominate side (left hand). I’m moving stuff around on my pc and adjusting my sling. It doesn’t happen a lot but enough to try other things before removing it.
Is your centurion barrel really under gassed ? I had my new one out the other day and unsurpressed with a vltor a5h1 and sprinco green it can’t run 55g
Not at all. It's because you're running the green spring which is more stiff than the standard spring, which I run with A5H2. Swap the spring and maybe the buffer if you want. A5H1 is equiv to H2 buffer weight, so you should be OK. Note that Centurion recommends Sprinco Blue or White or Milspec with H1 for their setups at the baseline.
@@bunnyoperator I’ll try the standard vltor a5 spring and if that won’t work I’ll leave the a5 system behind. Which is also interesting that they include an h2 buffer with their guns
Great channel man, love the handguard. I wish they hadn't discontinued it.

@@bunnyoperator that's what building rifles is all about! I may end up cutting a handguard myself, love the look
@@Radvous Facts. Make it "yours" 😂
A FCD and centurion connoisseur I see. But for real, s-tier stuff.

Sweet build!
Appreciate it.

I love this setup! I saw your updates on IG too. It looks great with the new paint job.
I appreciate your continued support, playa. 🥳
Nice to see a build that’s different from the other youtubers
I appreciate the feedback!
Nice build. Dang I love these types of videos ❤😊
I just wish the original didn't get nuked by the YT overlords.

Amazing build. I couldnt hit the sub button fast enough!
